Abstract

The primary determinant of the educational process at SMP Negeri 1 Kayuagung is the leadership of the principal. Through resource performance personnel, primarily instructors, leaders shape students. This study’s goal was to use qualitative descriptive methods and naturalistic observation to examine the principal’s leadership strategy for raising teacher performance standards. Both secondary and primary data are used as the sources for this study. As a result, to generate the best students, educational resources must be sufficiently superior, making it important for the principal to boost the caliber of educator performance.

Abstract

This study aimed to track the evolution of the among system implementation in Ki Hajar Dewantara’s Kindergarten students’ educational idea. A qualitative method approach was employed in this study, which was carried out in the villages of Kindergarten (TK) Pembina Kayuagung and Kindergarten (TK) Pertiwi Kayuagung. Interviews, observation, and documentation were used in the research. The Miles and Huberman technique was used to examine the data through the steps of data reduction, data visualization, and researcher data verification. The data analysis results demonstrate that: (1) the Ki Hajar Dewantara educational concept is always applicable; (2) the form of educational activities for Kindergarten children is to develop the senses, such as playing, singing, dancing, and telling stories; (3) the educational process is carried out with a cultural approach, such as traditional games, singing traditional songs, telling stories, and using natural materials as learning media is the uniqueness of the education; and (4) the educational process is carried out with a cultural approach. (4) Internal and external barriers to and enablers of the adoption of the educational idea Ki Hajar Dewantara in the classroom.

Abstract

The goal of this study was to ascertain how the academic oversight provided by the principal and the professionalism of the faculty affected the educational standards of the public elementary schools in Cengal District, Ogan Komering Ilir Regency. This study uses a quantitative descriptive methodology. A questionnaire tool that the researcher devised was used to gather data. Regression analysis was used to assess all of the research data. Using stratified random sampling, respondents were selected by taking into consideration the 98 instructors who served as research participants from the various strata of the overall population. The study’s findings indicate that: (1) The school principal’s academic oversight has a good and considerable impact on educational quality, increasing it by 30.9%. This implies that the quality of education will increase in direct proportion to the principal’s academic oversight. (2) There is a 20.2% positive and significant correlation between teacher professionalism and academic quality. This suggests that the quality of education will increase in direct proportion to the professionalism of the teachers. (3) The academic oversight of school principals and teacher professionalism have a combined favorable and considerable influence on the quality of public elementary school education by a factor of 36.3%. It suggests that the quality of education will increase in direct proportion to the effectiveness of the principal’s academic oversight and the professionalism of the faculty.

Abstract

The goal of this study is to evaluate initiatives to raise learning quality by implementing academic principal supervision. At SMA Negeri 3 Kayuagung, this study was conducted. using interviews, documentation, and observation as data collecting methods. ways for analyzing data utilizing descriptive qualitative analysis. According to the study’s findings, the academic oversight provided by SMA Negeri 3 Kayuagung’s principal has been working well to improve teachers’ capacity to carry out instructional tasks, particularly preparing the administration of instructional tools, planning instructional activities, carrying out instructional activities, managing classes, and conducting instructional evaluations. The quality of instruction at SMA Negeri 3 Kayuagung is improved through the implementation of the principal’s academic supervision.

Abstract

In light of the new normal era, this study tries to define the new idea of school-based management. Methods of qualitative research were applied in this study. The methods used for data collecting included interviews, documentation, observation, and literature reviews. Analyses of descriptive and qualitative data were used. The administration of more community participation in school activities and school preparation from an IT perspective constitute the new paradigm of school-based management following the advent of the new normal period. Getting the word out about crucial school schedules, programs, learning activities, admissions for new students, and financial management of the school. The completion of IT infrastructure facilities and a rise in teacher IT proficiency are two components of school IT readiness. Efforts to raise the standard of Basic Education can be significantly impacted by community involvement and IT preparedness for the classroom.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to evaluate how the vision, mission, and tactics for SMA Negeri 3 Kayuagung students’ character education are being put into practice. This study employed a qualitative methodology. Interviews, observation, and documentation were employed as the data collection methods. The first study’s findings include the implementation of the Head of SMA Negeri 3 Kayuagung’s vision and mission regarding the development of students’ character, specifically the development of the character of scientific disciplines, as well as the principal’s strategy regarding the development of students’ character via accuracy, reprimand, motivation, environmental conditioning, habituation, and character integration through learning activities. The principal’s three main oversight responsibilities are to keep an eye on teachers as they teach students about character in the classroom, to supervise the progress of character education activity programs, to inspect the safety and integrity of school facilities, and to assess these activities through debriefing.

Abstract

This study aims to identify, describe and analyze the performance of school principals in improving the quality of teaching staff at SMA Negeri 3 Kayuagung, Ogan Komering Ilir district, and to identify and describe the efforts and factors that influence the performance of school principals in improving the quality of teaching staff at Kayuagung 3 Public High School, Ogan Komering Ilir Regency. This study, a qualitative descriptive one, was conducted at SMA Negeri 3 Kayuagung in the Ogan Komering Ilir Regency. Data was gathered through observation, interviews, and documentation. The study’s findings indicate that: 1. The principal’s performance has generally been excellent, meeting the established standards and indicators. This is described in the school work plan (RKS) as the principal’s strategy for implementing work programs and hiring more teachers. 2) The principal’s effectiveness in raising the caliber of teachers is influenced by a number of variables, including the school’s geographic location, the qualifications of the teaching staff, and a supportive environment. 3) The principal has worked to raise the caliber of educators through empowerment initiatives and educational initiatives like supervision, MGMP, self-evaluation (EDS), in-house training (IHT), and entrepreneurship programs for educators and students.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to ascertain the impact of academic supervision on teachers’ performance at SMA Negeri 1 Kayuagung. using observation, documentation, interviews, and literature reviews as data collecting methods. The data analysis method employs methods for descriptive and qualitative analysis. According to the study’s findings, academic supervision was implemented after various steps of planning, carrying it out, receiving input, and monitoring its outcomes. The supervision instrument used to conduct the evaluation was taken directly from the new paradigm curriculum supervision instrument. The readiness of the administration of learning tools, the implementation of learning, and the evaluation of teacher learning are all impacted by the school principal’s assessment based on academic supervision tools. The performance of teachers at SMA Negeri 1 Kayuagung has improved as a result of positive comments and results from teacher’ evaluations.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to describe and analyze the implementation of Presidential Regulation Number 87 of 2017 concerning strengthening student character education at SMA Negeri 3 Kayuagung, Ogan Komering Ilir Regency, as well as the enabling and impeding factors for the implementation of that regulation at Kayuagung 3 Public High School, Ogan Komering Ilir Regen. This study is qualitative in nature. The study’s findings indicate that: 1) internal communication at SMA Negeri 3 Kayuagung, as well as communication with the school’s supervisor and committee and other connected agencies, all happened as planned; 2) There is already a clear standard operating procedure (SOP), and the majority of policy implementers are familiar with its procedures; 3) All policy implementers have a high commitment to the implementation of Presidential Regulation No. 87 of 2017 concerning Strengthening Character Education, which is not all teachers’ ability to apply character education to the subjects they teach.

Abstract

This study intends to describe the Smart Indonesia Card (KIP) policy’s implementation, beneficiary criteria, implementation strategy, and encouraging and discouraging aspects in an effort to equalize education. This study employs a descriptive qualitative methodology. The employees of the Vocational School of Education at the South Sumatra Province Education Office, the principal and counseling teachers of SMK Kayuagung District, four KIP recipients and their parents, and the principal and counseling teachers of SMK Kayuagung District served as the study’s subjects. The implementation of the Smart Indonesia Card policy in an effort to equalize education in the SMK Kayuagung District is the subject of the study. Through observation, interviews, and documentation, data was gathered. Data triangulation is used to assess the data’s validity. Data analysis techniques included data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion-drawing. According to the findings, the Kayuagung District Vocational School’s KIP targets were pupils who had 470 KIP cards. The outcomes of KIP implementation can aid attempts to promote educational equity.
