Abstract

The study of the yellow book is one of the most important traditions in the world of boarding schools that have always played a major role in shaping the character and knowledge of students. However, amid the rapidly changing times, a new challenge emerges: how to make the study of the Yellow Book remain relevant to the needs of today’s students living in an all-digital world and full of social dynamics. This study aims to evaluate the implementation of yellow book study in Makassar Multidimensional Alfakhriyah Boarding School using the CIPP (Context, Input, Process, Product) evaluation model. The research was conducted with a contextual qualitative approach through observation, interviews, and documentation. The evaluation results show that contextually, the book study program is still very important and relevant. In terms of inputs, the quality of teaching is excellent, yet it is still constrained by facilities and minimal utilization of technology. The learning process begins to shift from one-way methods to a more interactive and dialogic two-way approach. Meanwhile, the learning results showed that students were quite mastering the content of the book textually, but still needed reinforcement in critical thinking and the ability to communicate knowledge to the public. Based on these findings, it is recommended that boarding schools begin to pursue more contextualized curriculum innovations, opening spaces for exploration in learning, as well as equipping students with skills that support their role amid modern society.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis Hak Kelompok Khusus, Anggota Dewan Perwakilan Rakyat Kabupaten/Kota (DPRK) yang diangkat dalam kerangka otonomi khusus Papua,  untuk mengajukan calon Bupati dan Calon Walikota, pada Pemilihan  Kepala Daerah di Provinsi Papua. Jenis penelitian ini adalah yuridis normatif dengan menggunakan pendekatan perundang-undangan. Bahan hukum yang digunakan terdiri dari 3 (tiga) jenis yaitu bahan hukum primer, bahan hukum  sekunder dan bahan hukum tertier. Bahan hukum primer meliputi peraturan perundang-undangan tingkat pusat dan daerah termasuk UU Otsus Papua, UU Otsus Papua Perubahan Kedua, dan PP 106 Tahun 2021. Sedangkan bahan hukum sekunder  berupa hasil penelitian tentang Otonomi Khusus yang sudah dipublikasikan dalam jurnal. Sedangkan  bahan hukum tertier berupa Kamus Besar Bahasa Indonesia (KBBI). Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa (i) Kelompok Khusus pada kelembagaan DPRK memiliki kesetaraan kedudukan dalam hal tugas dan wewenang, serta fungsi sebagai anggota perwakilan rakyat di daerah. Namun, dalam hal  hak untuk mengajukan calon Bupati dan Calon Walikota, pada pemilihan kepala daerah di provinsi Papua yang menjalankan Otonomi Khusus,  tidak memiliki  kesetaraan hak dengan anggota DPRK dari Partai Politik yang dipilih melalui pemilihan umum; (ii), Kelompok Khusus memiliki komposisi jumlah yang memenuhi syarat dalam hal pengajuan calon Bupati dan Calon Walikota, namun  tidak diberi hak dalam Undang-Undang Nomor 2 Tahun 2021 tentang Perubahan Kedua atas Undang-Undang Nomor 21 Tahun 2001 tentang Otonomi Khusus Bagi Provinsi Papua, dan Undang-Undang Nomor `1 Tahun 2015 untuk mengajukan Calon Bupati dan Calon Walikota dalam pemilihan Kepala Daerah di Provinsi Papua

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to find out what is behind the importance of fostering a sakinah family in KUA, Mamajang District, Regency and how this coaching is carried out. In this study, the authors used qualitative research methods, by collecting data through observation, interviews and documentation. The informants or subjects in this study were the head of the KUA and an extension agency. The data validity technique used is the triangulation technique, which is the technique of checking the validity of the data by utilizing something from outside the data to check the data. The results obtained from this study are the background of fostering a sakinah family, including as the vanguard of the Ministry of Religion of the Republic of Indonesia, the Office of Religious Affairs (KUA) has a duty and function to carry out some of the tasks of the Office of the City / Regency Ministry of Religion in the field of Islamic Religion Affairs and assist development general government in the field of religion at the District level. And there are also factors that influence the background of developing a sakinah family, namely: Internal factors, the first are overcoming the heavy psychological burdens of fathers and mothers such as pressure (stress) at work, family financial difficulties, and secondly, overcoming conflicts in the family can be overcome, thirdly overcoming egotistical and less democratic attitude, fourthly overcoming the husband/wife’s suspicion that one of them is suspected of having an affair. And there are also external factors, including the first to overcome the interference of third parties in family matters, and the second to overcome the negative association of family members, the third to overcome the wife’s negative habit of gossiping in other people’s homes or at social gatherings and offices, the fourth to overcome the habit of gambling.

Abstract

Hadith, as the second source of Islamic law after the Qur'an, has undergone significant development in both methodology and the figures involved. This study aims to comprehensively describe the biographies and thoughts of contemporary hadith scholars, both globally and specifically in Indonesia. This research uses a qualitative method with a literature study approach. The results show that Yusuf al-Qardhawi and Muhammad al-Ghazali represent global scholars who have contributed significantly to the development of rational, contextual, and critical approaches in hadith studies. In Indonesia, Ali Mustafa Yaqub and Muhammad Syuhudi Ismail are key figures who have laid the foundations for a scientific and systematic study of hadith, while providing constructive criticism against orientalist views. Their thoughts emphasize the importance of isnad and matn criticism, contextual understanding, and the defense of the authenticity of hadith in facing contemporary challenges.

Abstract

This journal discusses the relationship between Islamic law and politics in the organization of Indonesian government. As a country with a Muslim majority population, Indonesia has its own challenges in integrating Islamic values in a democratic and pluralistic system of governance. Through a normative and juridical approach, this article analyzes the position of Islamic law in the national legal system, the political implications of its application, as well as the role of Islamic political actors in shaping public policy. This study demonstrates that Islamic law does not stand as a separate legal system, yet contributes to the formation of national law through a democratic political process. The interaction between Islamic law and state politics suggests the existence of a dynamic of adaptation and negotiation in maintaining a balance between religious values and principles of nationality.

Abstract

Matan criticism, a vital component of hadith studies, distinguishes authentic narrations by evaluating hadith content for logical coherence, Quranic consistency, and alignment with Sharia principles. This study employs a descriptive-analytical literature review to explain and illustrate matan criticism, emphasizing its necessity in preserving Islamic teachings, especially when addressing anomalous (syadz) or contradictory hadiths.

Abstract

The case involving Supriyani, an honorary teacher in South Konawe, Southeast Sulawesi, has drawn public attention and highlighted the issue of legal protection for teachers in the performance of their professional duties. This article aims to analyze the legal safeguards available to teachers, particularly in situations involving conflicts with students or their families. The urgency of this research lies in the effort to identify legal loopholes that often place teachers in vulnerable positions, subject to criminalization while carrying out their responsibilities. This study uses a qualitative approach with a library research method, by examining and analyzing relevant literature sources such as books, academic journals, articles, research reports, and other scholarly documents. The findings indicate that there are several legal instruments that regulate the rights and protections of educators. However, implementation is often hindered by a lack of awareness regarding teachers’ rights, as well as an imbalance in resolving conflicts through fair legal mechanisms. The conclusion of this study emphasizes the need for clearer and more practical policies to protect teachers, especially in potentially conflict-prone situations. Such policies are essential to ensure that the teaching profession is respected and protected in accordance with its vital role in upholding the supremacy of law in the education sector.

Abstract

Decision making is a fundamental process in every organization, directly influencing its direction, performance, and achievement of goals. This article discusses the basic concepts of decision making, its stages, and the classification of decisions into strategic, tactical, and operational levels. It also explores psychological factors that affect the decision-making process, such as individual values, personality, risk-taking tendencies, emotions, cognitive biases, experience, mindset, perception, motivation, attitudes, and stress. The research method used is library research with a qualitative approach, analyzing secondary data from various reliable sources. The discussion is enriched with an Islamic perspective on decision making, emphasizing the importance of deliberation (musyawarah), moral values, and spirituality in the process. With a comprehensive understanding of the concepts, factors, and methods of decision making, it is expected that leaders and members of organizations will be able to make effective, responsible decisions that provide optimal benefits for both the organization and society.

Abstract

The background of this research is based on the importance of archive management in supporting the effectiveness of archival services, especially in archival reunion services. This study aims to analyze the management of archives on the process of reuniting archives in the Regional House of Representatives of Sidoarjo Regency. The research method used is descriptive qualitative with data collection techniques through observation, interviews, and documentation. Data analysis was carried out using models from Miles and Huberman. The theory used refers to the theory put forward by Widjaja (2003) regarding the factors of good archives, including the use of the right storage system, qualified archival facilities, and qualified archival officers. The results of the study show that even though the Sidoarjo Regency Regional People's Representative Council has optimized the facilities and infrastructure of the archive center, there are still various obstacles, such as the limited number of archive employees, the lack of storage facilities (archive boxes and shelves), and the weak classification system which has an impact on the slow process of rediscovering archives. Therefore, it is necessary to increase the capacity of human resources, provide adequate facilities, and implement a more structured archive management system such as archive digitization so that the archive reunion process can run effectively and efficiently.

Abstract

This study analyzes symbolic communication practices within Komunitas Aghumi, an experimental performance art community utilizing ‘Tarot’ Card’ as its primary creative medium. Employing a qualitative approach and Herbert Blumer’s symbolic interactionism theory, the research explores how ‘tarot’ symbols function not only as tools of expression but also as catalysts for self-reflection, collective meaning-making, and negotiation of identity and emotional well-being among members. Findings reveal that ‘tarot’ symbols are deconstructed from their conventional meaning as magical divination tools into transformative mediums for art, mental health therapy, and self-reflection, processed into non-verbal language that facilitates empathetic dialogue and collective narratives in performances. The quest for “benang merah” (conceptual thread) or consensus-building among members through mechanisms like card shuffling, thematic discussions, and interpretative negotiations constitutes the core artistic practice, demonstrating symbolic flexibility aligned with Blumer’s principle that meaning arises from social interaction rather than inherent object properties. The community further affirms art’s role as social transformation through inclusivity, notably collaborations with neurodivergent groups (e.g., autistic children) that dismantle stigma and foster self-confidence. Symbols, language, and cognition integrate to create an egalitarian, transformative, and therapeutic communication ecosystem serving as implicit critique against reductive views of performance art, positioning art as a medium of empowerment and resistance against conventional meanings. The implications of this research are expected to raise awareness of the community’s existence, deconstruction of the ‘tarot’ meanings, and the value of inclusivity for vulnerable groups, thus contributing sustainably to their empowerment and the preservation of arts and the culture.
