Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effect of using English in food menu names on consumer purchase intention at Dapur Seblak Bangkinang. In the globalization era, the use of foreign terms is believed to enhance product appeal, especially among younger consumers. The research method used is quantitative with a survey approach. Data were collected through questionnaires distributed to 100 active customers of Dapur Seblak Bangkinang. The results show that using English in menu naming creates a more modern and trendy image, which significantly increases consumers' buying interest. These findings indicate that language strategy in product naming plays a crucial role in shaping consumer perceptions and influencing purchase decisions. Therefore, culinary business owners are encouraged to consider using foreign languages as part of their marketing strategy.

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to find out the digital archive management system, examine the obstacles faced, and evaluate the feasibility of the available facilities. This study uses a qualitative descriptive approach with data collection techniques through observation, interviews, and documentation. The results of the study show that the archiving process at PT Java Indoku is still carried out manually and digitally at the same time without an organized central system. The main obstacles found include the absence of digital archive servers, the lack of clear standards in document storage, limited supporting facilities, and the lack of a strategic plan to implement a comprehensive digital archiving system. Therefore, the implementation of integrated digital archive management is expected to be a solution to increase the effectiveness of business processes and overall company information management.

Abstract

Employee performance is the work result achieved by a person in carrying out their duties and responsibilities in accordance with the standards set by the organization. At Kospin Jasa Capem Kedungwuni, employee performance, especially in the position of Customer Service Officer (CSO), has an important role in creating a satisfying service experience for cooperative members. This study aims to analyze the performance of Customer Service Officer (CSO) employees in improving services to members at Kospin Jasa Capem Kedungwuni, Pekalongan Regency. The method used is qualitative descriptive with data collection techniques through observation, interviews and documentation. The results of the study indicate that the performance of Customer Service Officer (CSO) is quite good, indicated by a friendly attitude, professionalism, and understanding of member needs. However, there are several obstacles such as the limited number of Customer Service Officer (CSO) officers, long waiting times during peak hours, and challenges in dealing with members with diverse educational backgrounds. This study suggests increasing the number of Customer Service Officer (CSO) workers and optimizing the queuing system to support faster and more efficient services. These findings are expected to be strategic input for Kospin Jasa Capem Kedungwuni in improving the quality of member services.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the implementation of Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) in the procurement of goods and services within the Procurement Division of PT Mandom Indonesia Tbk. SOP serves as a key guideline to ensure operational efficiency. Using a descriptive qualitative approach and case study method, data were collected through interviews, observations, and documentation with five informants involved in procurement activities. The results show that the SOP has been generally well applied and integrated with the e-Procurement system. However, several obstacles were identified, including unclear user requests, urgent demands, and limited vendor availability. These challenges are mainly caused by human resource constraints, lack of coordination, and system readiness issues. To address these problems, the informants suggested improving communication, conducting regular SOP socialization, adopting flexible procedures when needed, and evaluating vendor performance. The study concludes that effective SOP implementation requires not only clear procedures but also organizational readiness, communication, and adaptability to real conditions.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the influence of self-efficacy and academic achievement on students’ interest in pursuing higher education at SMK Negeri 48 Jakarta. The research used a quantitative approach with a survey method and questionnaire as the main instrument. The sample consisted of 168 eleventh-grade students selected through stratified random sampling. The results showed that self-efficacy had a positive and significant effect on students' interest in continuing education, while academic achievement had a positive but not statistically significant partial effect. However, both variables simultaneously had a significant influence on students' interest in higher education. These findings emphasize the importance of self-confidence and academic success in shaping students’ readiness and motivation to pursue further education. This research is expected to serve as a reference for schools and parents in providing both psychological and academic support to students.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the use of the Electronic Official Manuscript (NADINE) application in managing archive documents at LEMIGAS as part of the implementation of digital transformation in government agencies. NADINE is an electronic correspondence system that includes the process of inputting, verifying, disposing, and storing documents in PDF format. This study uses a descriptive qualitative approach with a case study method, through interview techniques, observation, documentation, and literature studies. Informants consisted of one key informant (Head of the Archives Building) and three active NADINE users. The results of the study show that the implementation of NADINE makes a significant contribution to increasing the efficiency and effectiveness of archive management. This application facilitates online document access, supports work flexibility, and speeds up the search process through features based on letter numbers or sender names. However, there are still technical obstacles such as dependence on internet connections, suboptimal features, and the lack of integration of static archives and archive destruction systems. From a non-technical perspective, challenges include limited training and readiness of human resources in adopting digital technology. This study is expected to be a recommendation for the development of the NADINE system for other agencies in implementing electronic archive management effectively and sustainably.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the role of the Regional House of Representatives (DPRD) of Sidoarjo Regency in collecting public aspirations as part of local democratic practices. As a legislative body, DPRD holds the responsibility of absorbing and responding to public input through mechanisms such as reses, community meetings, and digital platforms. Using a descriptive qualitative approach, data were gathered through interviews, observations, and documentation. The findings indicate that although DPRD has established formal systems for collecting public input, their implementation remains suboptimal. Challenges include limited access for communities in remote areas, a lack of initiative from legislators in establishing active communication, and weak follow-up on collected aspirations. Many public inputs are documented but fail to influence concrete policy decisions, resulting in the erosion of public trust in the legislative process. Furthermore, the study highlights that the aspiration-gathering process often lacks transparency, and community participation is frequently symbolic rather than substantive. This disconnect between the DPRD and constituents undermines the legitimacy of local policymaking. To address these issues, the study recommends that DPRD optimize the use of digital media and outreach programs to bridge communication gaps, particularly in underserved areas. In addition, there is a need to institutionalize follow-up mechanisms that ensure public input is not only recorded but also translated into meaningful action plans or policy recommendations. Strengthening internal capacity, increasing public access to legislative activities, and promoting accountability are essential steps toward a more responsive and inclusive governance system. These efforts are crucial to support the development of public policies that are participatory and aligned with the real and diverse needs of Sidoarjo residents. Future research is suggested to evaluate the long-term impact of such reforms on public satisfaction and trust in legislative institutions.

Abstract

This study was conducted with the aim of identifying the extent to which the marketing communication mix influences the purchasing decisions of Batu Tela products in building material MSMEs operating in Jayapura Regency. The marketing communication mix examined in this study includes five main elements, namely advertising, sales promotion, publicity, personal selling, and direct marketing. These five elements are considered important factors that can influence how consumers recognize, evaluate, and ultimately make decisions to purchase the products offered. The research method used is a quantitative approach with a survey technique. The research respondents were 60 consumers selected with the criteria of having purchased Batu Tela products at least once in the last six months. The collected data were then analyzed using multiple linear regression methods to determine the relationship and influence of each marketing communication element on purchasing decisions. The results of the study indicate that all five marketing communication elements have been proven to have a significant influence on consumer purchasing decisions. This confirms that the marketing communication strategy designed and implemented by MSMEs plays an important role in building positive consumer perceptions and encouraging purchase transactions. Of all the variables studied, sales promotion emerged as the dominant factor that most strongly influenced consumer decisions. Incentives in the form of price cuts, discounts, and special offers are considered more effective in attracting consumer attention and interest than other elements. This finding provides practical implications: MSMEs need to design more integrated marketing communications strategies, emphasizing creative and sustainable sales promotion programs. Furthermore, this research opens up opportunities for further research by expanding the variables, particularly internal consumer factors that can influence decision-making.

Abstract

Lamongan ikat weaving is a local cultural heritage that has artistic and cultural value, as well as high economic potential. However, in the increasingly competitive modern market, this traditional product faces challenges in attracting consumer interest. This study aims to analyze the influence of price, product quality, and promotional activities on consumer purchase intentions of Lamongan ikat weaving marketed through modern channels, such as shopping centers, fashion boutiques, and e-commerce platforms. The study used a quantitative approach with data collection through a Likert scale questionnaire that has been tested for validity and reliability. A total of 100 respondents were obtained using a cluster random sampling technique. Data analysis was carried out using multiple linear regression, supported by classical assumption tests and hypothesis testing through partial (t-test) and simultaneous (F-test) tests. The results showed that the variables of price, product quality, and promotion simultaneously had a significant effect on consumer purchase intentions (p = 0.000). However, only product quality was proven to have a significant effect (p = 0.000), while price and promotion did not show a significant effect (p = 0.214 and p = 0.257, respectively). The adjusted R² value of 0.379 indicates that 37.9% of the variance in consumer purchase intention can be explained by the three independent variables, while the remainder is influenced by other factors outside this study. This finding confirms that product quality is the dominant factor driving consumer purchase intention for Lamongan ikat weaving. Therefore, business actors are advised to prioritize quality improvement through quality control and design innovation, as well as developing more targeted, creative promotional strategies that are in line with the preferences of modern market consumers. Thus, Lamongan ikat weaving will not only be able to maintain its existence but also have a great opportunity to develop in the contemporary creative and fashion industries.

Abstract

This study investigates the impact of product quality, price, and promotion on consumer purchasing decisions at Mie Gacoan, Ngagel branch, Surabaya. A quantitative research design was adopted, utilizing a survey method with purposive sampling targeting consumers who had made at least one purchase within the previous three months. Following Hair et al.’s recommendation of using ten times the number of measurement indicators, a total of 150 respondents were selected. Data were collected using structured questionnaires encompassing variables related to product quality, price, promotion, and purchasing decisions, and were analyzed using multiple linear regression with SPSS software. The findings reveal that product quality, price, and promotion all exert significant individual and simultaneous effects on purchasing decisions, with a coefficient of determination (R²) of 0.911. Among these factors, promotion demonstrated the strongest influence, followed by product quality and price. These results underscore the critical role of innovative promotional strategies, particularly those leveraging digital and social media platforms, in shaping the purchasing behavior of young consumers, who represent the predominant customer segment. Additionally, maintaining consistent product quality and ensuring competitive pricing remain key to fostering consumer trust and encouraging repeat purchases. The study recommends that Mie Gacoan enhance promotional innovation, sustain product quality standards, and implement competitive pricing strategies to strengthen its market position. Future research should integrate customer satisfaction and loyalty as additional variables and adopt advanced analytical approaches, such as Structural Equation Modeling (SEM), to capture the complexity of consumer behavior dynamics in the fast-food industry more comprehensively.
