Abstract

The aimed of this research to investigate the significant effect of Kahoot application towards students vocabulary mastery at the eighth grade of MTs Al-Mu’min Cikeusik, Pandeglang academic year 2023/2024. This research was quantitative approach with quasi-experimental design. The research paper used the quantitative approach and quasi-experimental design. This research was conducted from July-august, The technique in choosing the sample is cluster random sampling; and the researcher has chosen two classes are a control class and an experimental class This research consisted of two variables namely Kahoot application media as independent variable and students vocabulary mastery as dependent variable, using pre-test and post-test control group design. The population of this research was eighth grade of MTs Al-Mu’min Cikeusik consisted of 42 students divided into two class. the sample of this research were VIII A (22 students) as experimental class and VIII B (20 students) as control class. In the Collecting data technique, the researcher gives pre-test and post-test. The score pre-test of control group are 1,210, the score pre-test of experimental class are 1,475. Then, the score post-test of control group are 1,405, the score post-test of experimental group are 1,850. To collect the data, the researcher used SPSS version 29. to know whether was any significant effect students’ vocabulary mastery, between the students who are taught by using Kahoot application as media and who are not. Therefore, From the explanation above, it can be concluded that Kahoot application an effective media for English teaching-learning. The result of this research showed that the students who were taught by using Kahoot! game got better score than the students who were taught by using traditional method. The researcher has found the result of Significant two-tailed = 0.001 < α 0.05.

Abstract

This research describes the analysis of student difficulties in English speaking skills faced by 10th Grade students of MAN 1 Natuna in the 2021/2022 academic year. This research used qualitative research methods. The researcher chose class X IPA 1 as the object with a total of 27 students. In collecting the data, researcher used observations, and interview. From the data analysis, the researcher found some conclusion The problem of students in mastering speaking skills is that students have limited vocabulary, they confused to pronounce words in English, lack grammar, cannot speak fluently, and have difficulty understanding what the speaker is saying. In addition, students inhibit to practice speaking English and usually use their mother tongue. The cause of students having difficulty in mastering speaking skills refers to the learning objectives, it can be concluded that students have psychological factors such as lack of confidence, fear of being wrong, anxiety, shame and lack of motivation that hinders them in practicing speaking in English. These factors, such as fear of making mistakes, are generally caused by their fear of being laughed at by their friends.

Abstract

Students must engage in independent study as one of the strategies that promotes student-centered learning since it affects how they learn. Some students rarely engage in independent learning, such as SDL, since they lack motivation, particularly when it comes to learning English. The purpose of this study is to look into how four college students use Duolingo for self-directed learning (SDL) and evaluate the objectives and procedure. A narrative inquiry was employed in this study to elucidate participant experiences. Additionally, data were gathered through semi-structured interviews and daily journals kept by the students. The journal was the first tool employed, and the initial data was collected seven times. To confirm or supplement the information from the journals, all participants were questioned after the journals had all been gathered. Thematic analysis was used to examine the data. The study demonstrated that all participants could control the process of self-directed learning, define their own objectives and goals, and provide feedback on their SDL. Furthermore, because Duolingo has features that support all SDL procedures, adopting it as a tool or media for SDL helps participants feel more excited to participate in SDL. Abstract

Proses pembelajaran yang dilaksanakan di SMP Islam Ihyaul Ummah masih berpusat pada guru (teacher oriented) sehingga siswa masih belum aktif dalam kegiatan pembelajaran. Berdasarkan masalah tersebut perlunya dilakukan perbaikan proses pembelajaran pada siswa dengan tujuan agar siswa dapat ikut berperan aktif. Sehingga ”Apakah dengan penerapan metode whole language dapat meningkatkan keaktifan siswa dalam proses pembelajaran bahasa Arab?”. Jenis penelitian yang digunakan adalah penelitian eksperimen yang dilaksanakan selama 3 kali pertemuan dimulai sejak tanggal 10 April sampai 12 April 2023 tanpa pre-test dan post-test dengan teknik pengumpulan data melalui observasi dan lembar debriefing siswa, kemudian data-data yang diperoleh di lapangan tersebut dianalisa dengan menggunakan analisis data kualitatif dan kuantitatif. Adapun hasil yang diperoleh dalam penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa penerapan metode whole language tergolong sangat tinggi untuk meningkatkan keaktifan siswa dalam proses pembelajaran bahasa Arab melalui perhitungan 14 indikator keaktifan siswa, hal tersebut dibuktikan dengan persentase ketuntasan 79,8%. Dengan keaktifan siswa sangat tinggi pada indikator aktivitas nomor 2,9, 11, 12, 13 dan 14 dengan persentase 100% sejak pertemuan pertama, kedua dan ketiga.

Abstract

This research aims to determine the symbolic meaning of the Sikambang Anak dance at the Upik Berau Studio, Air Berau Village, Mukomuko Regency, Bengkulu Province. The research method used is a qualitative research method which is descriptive analysis, namely explaining and describing what is then analyzed. This research uses Ferdinand De Saussure's semiotic theory and Y. Sumandiyo Hadi's theory of form. The results of the research show that the symbolic meaning of the Sikambang Anak Dance at the Upik Berau Studio has its own meaning for the people of Air Berau village. The meaning conveyed can be seen from the form of the sikambang anak dance itself, starting from the movements. Properties and poetry (dendang). This dance has a meaning related to people's lives. The meaning of this dance teaches that problems in married life will be better if they are resolved amicably and don't make the wrong decisions. Kindness is always at the forefront of life

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk membangun teori manajemen pendidikan Islam melalui pendekatan kajian filsafat ilmu. Pendidikan Islam pada hakikatnya tidak hanya bertumpu pada aspek transfer pengetahuan saja, tetapi juga melibatkan transformasi nilai-nilai keislaman yang holistik. Pendekatan filsafat ilmu digunakan untuk menganalisis landasan ontologi, epistemologi, dan aksiologi yang mendasari pada teori manajemen pendidikan Islam. Penelitian ini fokus dan menekankan pada pentingnya integrasi antara wahyu, akal, dan pengalaman sebagai dasar epistemologi. Landasan ontologi didasarkan pada konsep tauhid yang menjadi inti pendidikan Islam, sedangkan aspek aksiologi menyoroti tujuan pendidikan untuk membentuk manusia yang memiliki karakteristik insan kamil. Salah satu nya Melalui kajian ini, disusun kerangka teori yang komprehensif, yang mencakup prinsip kepemimpinan Islami, pengelolaan sumber daya berbasis nilai, serta strategi inovatif yang relevan dengan tantangan zaman. Pada akhirnya Teori ini diharapkan memberikan kontribusi signifikan dalam pengembangan praktik manajemen pendidikan Islam yang adaptif dan berkelanjutan. Abstract

This article aims to determine the benefits of the philosophy of science in the development of Islamic educational institutions. Good and quality education must be built on a philosophical foundation and in-depth study. This article was written using a literature review research method with an analytical approach to various sources from books, journals and other relevant literature. The results of this research show that the philosophy of science provides a strong basis for the development of a holistic Islamic education curriculum, balanced between religious knowledge and world science, and capable of producing a generation that is intelligent, has morals, and is able to answer the challenges of the times.

Abstract

Artikel ini bertujuan untuk mengeksplorasi hubungan antara filsafat ilmu dan teori manajemen pendidikan Islam. Metodologi yang digunakan dalam penulisan artikel ini adalah pendekatan kualitatif dengan kajian pustaka (library research) dengan mengumpulkan data dari berbagai literatur terkait, seperti buku, jurnal ilmiah, dan sumber-sumber akademik lainnya. Berdasarkan analisis yang dilakukan, penulis menyimpulkan bahwa filsafat ilmu berkontribusi dalam membentuk kerangka berpikir kritis, logis dan sistematis serta memiliki kedudukan yang sangat penting yaitu sebagai landasan filosofis dalam pengembangan teori manajemen pendidikan Islam.

Abstract

This study aims to evaluate the implementation of strategic management in efforts to improve the quality of education at Pesantren Ibnu Abbas Tanjungpinang, using a qualitative descriptive approach. The primary data was obtained from the management of Pesantren Ibnu Abbas Tanjungpinang, while secondary data was gathered from publications and regulations related to the Pesantren. The analysis was conducted through the stages of strategic management, namely strategy formulation, strategy implementation, and strategy evaluation. The results of the study show that, overall, Ibnu Abbas Tanjungpinang Boarding School has applied strategic management to enhance the quality of education. However, several strategic aspects have not yet been fully optimized, such as the lack of in-depth analysis of internal strengths and external opportunities, as well as the weak commitment of some teachers regarding discipline.

Abstract

Islamic education plays a crucial role in shaping a quality Muslim generation, capable of facing future challenges, and aligned with Islamic values. This study aims to analyze the relationship between knowledge and human life values, as well as the role of knowledge and humans in the development of theories and concepts in Islamic education management. The approach used in this research is qualitative with a literature study method. The findings indicate that knowledge in Islam is not only a tool for achieving worldly and hereafter success but also serves to develop human life values such as tawakkal (trust in God), akhlak (morality), and ikhlas (sincerity). Knowledge plays a role in the formation of concepts and theories of Islamic education management, which integrates Islamic ethical, moral, and aesthetic values into the educational process. The application of knowledge in Islamic education management aims to create effective and sustainable education, as well as to shape individuals with Islamic character. Therefore, Islamic education management focuses not only on educational theories but also on the practice of Islamic values that improve the quality of life and character of the students. This study concludes that knowledge and Islamic education serve dual purposes: as a tool for intellectual advancement and as a means for forming quality spiritual and moral development.
