Abstract

This research aims to explore the concept, implementation and challenges of character education in Islamic higher education. Through an in-depth literature review, this research identifies that character education in Islamic universities does not only focus on academic achievement, but also on the formation of strong morality and ethics. Islamic universities utilize Islamic values as the main foundation in educating students to become individuals with integrity, morals, and able to contribute positively to society. However, this research also revealed a number of significant challenges, including limited resources, lack of training for lecturers, diversity of student cultural backgrounds, time constraints, and difficulties in measuring character development. Literacy related to curriculum development strategies, lecturer training, and character evaluation methods is the key to overcoming this challenge. Character education in Islamic higher education requires the commitment of all parties involved, from institutional leaders to students, to achieve optimal results. This research concludes that with a holistic and integrative approach, Islamic higher education has great potential to produce graduates who are not only academically superior but also have noble character.

Abstract

This study aims to examine in depth the scope of educational management with a focus on the relationship between the organization, administration, and management of education. These three components are considered the main pillars in managing an effective and efficient education system. The research method used is a literature study. The results of the study indicate that the organization, administration, and management of education have a close relationship and influence each other in the process of managing education. The organization acts as a fundamental structure that provides a framework for the implementation of educational activities, while the administration is responsible for the arrangement and coordination of operational processes within the organization. Educational management focuses on strategic planning, decision making, and control to ensure the achievement of educational goals optimally. The organization, administration, and management of education are three main pillars that cannot be separated in achieving educational goals. Each pillar has a specific role and function that complements and supports each other. Without good synergy between the three, the education system will not be able to function optimally.

Abstract

This research aims to analyze the challenges faced in Islamic Religious Education (PAI) in public schools in the context of national character formation. The method used is a literature review which involves analysis of various sources such as books, journals, articles and other related documents. This research identified several main challenges, including PAI curriculum and materials, teaching methods, teacher qualifications and competencies, learning environment, technology integration, and evaluation and reflection. The results of the study show that the PAI curriculum often does not fully integrate national values, requiring more substantial adjustments. Teaching methods that are less interactive are also an obstacle in attracting students' interest in PAI learning. Varying teacher qualifications and a lack of adequate training programs add to the complexity of this challenge. On the other hand, the learning environment in public schools often does not optimally support a national atmosphere. The use of technology is also not optimal in PAI learning, which actually has the potential to increase student engagement and understanding. Finally, evaluation and reflection on the PAI program must be carried out periodically to ensure the effectiveness and relevance of education in forming national character. In conclusion, although there are various challenges, with a holistic approach and the right strategy, Islamic Religious Education in public schools has great potential in forming students' strong national character.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to investigate how teacher competency and academic monitoring affect raising teacher performance in the classroom. Academic supervision and teacher competence are two crucial factors that are believed to be able to influence the effectiveness of instruction as well as the general standard of education. In addition, teacher competence was also found to have a strong relationship with their performance. Teachers who have high competence tend to show better performance in terms of mastery of material, classroom management, and interaction with students. This study also revealed that the combination of good Enhancing teacher performance can be achieved through a synergistic effect between high teacher competence and academic monitoring. In other words, when these two factors are optimized, teacher performance can increase significantly, which will ultimately have a positive impact on the quality of learning in schools. The conclusion of this study emphasizes the importance of education managers to continue to strengthen academic supervision programs and teacher competence development. Investment in these two aspects will not only improve teacher performance but will also contribute to improving the overall quality of education.
