Abstract

This study aims to provide an in-depth description of the implementation of curriculum policy in an Islamic elementary school (madrasah ibtidaiyah). The focus of the research includes the stages of planning, implementation, assessment, and the challenges faced in applying the curriculum. The research methods used were direct classroom observation, interviews with the head of the madrasah and classroom or subject teachers, as well as document analysis of curriculum materials such as the KTSP, annual programs, semester programs, syllabi, and lesson plans (RPP). The findings indicate that curriculum planning was carried out systematically in accordance with regulations from the Ministry of Religious Affairs and the Ministry of Education, through the development of curriculum documents involving teachers in KKG forums and school workshops. In the implementation stage, teaching referred to the 2013 Curriculum and began adapting the Merdeka Curriculum, especially in lower grades, by applying differentiated instruction and project-based learning to strengthen the Profile of Pancasila Students. Assessment was conducted comprehensively, covering attitudes, knowledge, and skills using various assessment instruments. The study also identified several challenges, including the need to improve teacher competence in developing teaching materials based on the Merdeka Curriculum and the limited availability of facilities to support thematic and innovative project-based learning.

Abstract

This study aims to explore the three-pillar paradigm in Islamic education management, encompassing the strategic role of the kiai (Islamic scholar-leader), curriculum alignment, and active community involvement. These three components constitute fundamental pillars in the governance of Islamic educational institutions, particularly in pesantren and community-based madrasahs. The research employs a descriptive qualitative approach, utilizing data collection methods including field observation, in-depth interviews, and document analysis. The findings reveal that the kiai functions not only as a spiritual leader but also as a managerial and visionary figure who determines institutional direction, policies, and foundational educational values. The curriculum is designed to be contextual and flexible, adapting to contemporary developments while maintaining its rootedness in Islamic scholarly traditions. Meanwhile, the community plays a significant supporting role, contributing to moral, social, and material aspects. These three actors engage in synergistic interactions that reinforce the sustainability and relevance of the Islamic education management system. The study concludes that collaboration among these key actors is a fundamental prerequisite for developing a participatory, value-based, and contextually grounded model of educational management.

Abstract

Waste management is an increasingly urgent problem amidst public awareness of the importance of cleanliness and environmental sustainability. One approach that can be implemented to overcome this problem is to integrate Islamic values in education from an early age, especially through teaching that involves memorizing short hadiths. This research aims to explore the application of Islamic values in waste management in educational environments, especially at Madrasah Diniyah Takmiliyah Awaliyah (MDTA) Al-Falah Dusun 2, Neglasari Village. The approach used is qualitative with observation and interview techniques with teachers, parents and students at MDTA Al-Falah. Through a program to memorize short hadiths related to cleanliness, such as the hadith which states "Cleanliness is part of faith," children at MDTA are taught to interpret and apply the principles of cleanliness in their daily lives. This research found that assistance in memorizing hadiths can shape the character of children who care about cleanliness and the surrounding environment, as well as increase their awareness of managing waste responsibly. Apart from that, the integration of Islamic values in teaching at MDTA Al-Falah also plays a role in building a sustainable environmentally conscious culture. Through this approach, it is hoped that the younger generation can become agents of change who are able to create a cleaner and healthier environment in the future. The conclusion of this research shows that the integration of Islamic values in waste management can be an effective effort to instill environmental awareness in children from an early age.

Abstract

The Effect of Letter Wheel and Reading Board Media on Students' Beginning Reading Skills at MIN Kota Medan is based on students' difficulties in recognizing letters, recognizing letters with the same shape, spelling letters, and combining letters into words which result in students not understanding what they are going to read. This study aims to determine the effect of letter wheel and reading board media in improving the beginning reading skills of first grade students at MIN Kota Medan. This study is a quantitative study with a quasi-experimental design. The research sample consisted of 25 students, who were divided into two groups, namely, the experimental group using letter wheel and reading board media and the control group using conventional media. Data collection was carried out through Pretest and Posttest questions. The data obtained were analyzed using normality tests, homogeneity tests, and hypothesis tests. From the results of the research conducted, it was found that there was a significant influence of letter wheel and reading board media on the beginning reading skills of first grade students at MIN 7 Kota Medan. This is also proven by the results of the hypothesis test where the sig (2-tailed) in the experimental class is 0.000 < 0.05, meaning there is an effect of the treatment in the experimental class. Therefore, Ha is accepted and Ho is rejected at the level of α = 0.05. Thus, it can be concluded that the letter wheel and reading board media have a significant influence in improving the initial reading ability of first-grade students at MIN 7 Medan City

Abstract

Writing scientific papers is a crucial skill for both prospective lecturers and working professionals. Coherent writing structure and the correct application of Indonesian language norms are as important as the accuracy of its scientific content in determining the quality of a scientific paper. The purpose of this study was to assess accounting students' ability to write scientific papers, both in terms of article structure and the use of Indonesian language rules. A literature review of several relevant journals and studies published between 2021 and 2025 served as the research methodology used. According to the study's findings, accounting students' scientific writing skills remain in the low to moderate range. Key problems identified include a high percentage of spelling errors, poor choice of diction, and ineffective sentence construction. Furthermore, the application of the IMRAD format in scientific papers remains inconsistent, accompanied by weaknesses in the development of scientific arguments and inconsistencies in the use of terms in scientific papers and scientific works. These results indicate that for students to produce scientific papers that are systematic, coherent, and in accordance with standard Indonesian language rules, they require ongoing guidance through academic literacy development, project-based scientific writing training, and intensive mentoring.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the effectiveness of the Smart Indonesia Card Program for College (KIP-Kuliah) in supporting the studies of students from underprivileged families. This study uses a descriptive method with a qualitative approach, through data collection techniques in the form of observation, interviews, and documentation. Based on the results of the literature review and interviews with KIP-Kuliah recipient students, it was found that this program significantly helps students in financing educational needs such as transportation, internet quota, and purchasing books, as well as increasing learning motivation. In addition, the KIP-Kuliah Program contributes to the development of student character, especially in building independence, leadership, and responsibility. However, this study also found several challenges, including delays in disbursement of funds and a tendency towards consumptive behavior among recipients of assistance. Problems in the information system and program monitoring also become obstacles in the evaluation and supervision of program implementation. Therefore, improvements to the fund disbursement system, recipient selection, character building, and strengthening of the integrated information system are needed to optimize the effectiveness of the KIP-Kuliah Program in the future. This study provides an overview that this program plays an important role in increasing equality of access to higher education in Indonesia, but still requires better management so that its benefits can be felt optimally by students.

Abstract

This study addresses the critical challenge of revitalizing Pancasila values among Generation Z (Gen Z) amidst rapid globalization. Globalization, while promoting access to information, simultaneously poses a threat to national identity and core values like collectivism and nationalism. The research aims to explore the strategic role of Gen Z in strengthening Pancasila through the framework of governance collaboration, involving public, private, and civil society sectors. Using a qualitative-descriptive literature review method , the study identifies three main areas where Gen Z can actively implement Pancasila values: (1) Strengthening Character Education by acting as innovators and developing digital content to teach the values of Divinity and Humanity; (2) Community Social Activities by coordinating Karang Taruna initiatives and practicing the values of Unity and Social Justice through Gotong Royong ; and (3) National Literacy Movement by promoting critical literacy, which forms the foundation for practicing Consultative Democracy (Sila IV). The results conclude that continuous collaboration transforms Pancasila from a theoretical concept into practical action, positioning Gen Z as the main pillar for maintaining national integrity in the digital era.
