Abstract

This study investigates the impact of Minimum Wage Increases (MWI), Unemployment Rates (UNR), and Manufacturing Sector Investment (MSI) on Workers' Welfare (WWF) in Indonesia. A quantitative research approach was used, with data collected from 200 participants, analyzed using Structural Equation Modeling - Partial Least Squares (SEM-PLS) 3. The results indicate that Manufacturing Sector Investment has a significant positive impact on Workers' Welfare, suggesting that industrial investment fosters job creation and better working conditions. Minimum Wage Increase also positively influences Workers' Welfare, improving workers' income and standard of living. Furthermore, Unemployment Rate has the strongest negative effect on Workers' Welfare, highlighting the importance of reducing unemployment to improve workers' well-being. The study suggests that policies promoting manufacturing sector investment, carefully calibrated minimum wage increases, and targeted initiatives to reduce unemployment are essential for enhancing workers' welfare in Indonesia.

Abstract

This study examines the impact of negative social media trends on juvenile and street crime in Indonesia, focusing on the behaviors and motivations of adolescents influenced by online content. Using qualitative analysis, data were collected through interviews with five informants, including social media analysts, law enforcement officials, community leaders, and adolescents. The findings reveal that social media trends often glorify risky and criminal behaviors, which are further amplified by peer pressure and group dynamics. Nighttime settings, coupled with a lack of recreational alternatives, exacerbate the issue by creating opportunities for crime. Additionally, the lack of digital literacy among youth contributes to their susceptibility to harmful content. This study highlights the urgent need for digital literacy education, community engagement, and policy interventions to mitigate the influence of negative trends on social media and reduce juvenile crime in Indonesia.

Abstract

This study examines the impact of risk and profit on the sustainability of Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) in Central Java, focusing on the mediating role of social investment within Sharia-compliant financial practices. Employing a quantitative approach, data were collected from 85 MSMEs through structured questionnaires and analyzed using SPSS version 25. The findings reveal that financial risk negatively affects MSME sustainability, while profitability positively influences it. Social investment practices, such as zakat and waqf, play a significant mediating role, reducing the negative impact of risk and enhancing the positive influence of profitability on sustainability. These results highlight the importance of integrating ethical and socially responsible financial practices in fostering resilience and growth among MSMEs. The study underscores the potential of Sharia investment principles in addressing the unique challenges faced by MSMEs, offering practical insights for policymakers and business stakeholders.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the strategies for cultivating and developing regional languages within the context of Smart Society 5.0; a society that places humans at the center of technological innovation. Regional languages are vital cultural assets that reflect local identity and values. However, amid the currents of globalization and the dominance of national and foreign languages in digital spaces, many regional languages are experiencing a decline in speakers, particularly among the younger generation. This research employs a descriptive qualitative approach through a literature review of journal articles, books, policy documents, and official reports. The findings indicate that regional language development through school-based local content, teacher training, and community involvement proves effective when supported by strong policies and the use of digital technology. Educational apps, online dictionaries, and multimedia content present significant opportunities to engage the interest of younger generations. The role of cultural communities, traditional institutions, and local governments is also crucial in revitalizing the function of regional languages in daily life. Therefore, preservation strategies must integrate cultural, educational, and technological approaches in a sustainable manner. This study recommends a community-based collaborative model and a digital ecosystem as adaptive preservation strategies for the challenges of the Smart Society 5.0 era.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of population and Human Development Index (IPM) on the open unemployment rate in NTB Province in 2018-2023. This study is a quantitative study with an associative approach. In the study, data collection was carried out directly through the Central Statistics Agency (BPS) of NTB Province. Using three data, namely population data, Human Development Index data and open unemployment rate data for NTB Province in 2018-2023. The analysis method used in this study is panel data regression using Eviews 12.0 software. The results of this study indicate that population has a positive and insignificant effect on the open unemployment rate and the Human Development Index (IPM) has a negative and significant effect on the open unemployment rate and simultaneously the population and Human Development Index (IPM) have a significant effect on the open unemployment rate. The implications of these findings indicate that population growth needs to be managed properly so as not to increase the risk of unemployment. In addition, increasing the IPM has been shown to reduce the unemployment rate, so efforts to improve the quality of education, health, and living standards must continue to be encouraged by the local government.

Abstract

This study presents a comprehensive bibliometric analysis of the scholarly literature on the impact of social tech hubs on social innovation and local economic development. Using data from the Scopus database and analytical tools such as VOSviewer, the study explores co-authorship networks, keyword co-occurrences, citation patterns, and thematic clusters. Results indicate that “social innovation” is the central concept in this domain, frequently associated with themes such as sustainable development, social entrepreneurship, and digital transformation. The field demonstrates a shift from earlier emphasis on open innovation and corporate responsibility to more recent interests in digital social innovation and sustainability goals. Leading contributors are concentrated in Europe, North America, and Australia, though there is growing representation from Asia, Latin America, and Africa. The findings highlight both the growing complexity and interdisciplinarity of the field, as well as its structural gaps—particularly in rural development, governance, and Global South collaboration. This study provides valuable insights for researchers, policymakers, and practitioners seeking to understand the evolving role of social tech hubs in advancing inclusive and sustainable innovation ecosystems.

Abstract

This study presents a bibliometric analysis of the academic literature on green retailing and sustainable practices in retail marketing, using data retrieved from the Scopus database (2000–2024). Employing VOSviewer for co-authorship, citation, and keyword co-occurrence analysis, the study identifies core research themes, influential contributors, and evolving trends in the field. The results reveal that “green retailing,” “green marketing,” and “cost optimization” are central to the scholarly discourse, reflecting the growing strategic importance of sustainability in retail operations. The analysis also uncovers a temporal shift from foundational environmental themes to more actionable managerial strategies. India stands out as a hub of international collaboration, and author network analysis highlights prominent research clusters around figures such as Sarkis J. and Lai K.H. While the literature has matured in linking green practices with business outcomes, emerging gaps include social dimensions of sustainability and digital transformation in retail. The study concludes with recommendations for future research directions that emphasize interdisciplinary inquiry and practical application in advancing sustainable retail marketing.
