Abstract

Copyright is a crucial part of Intellectual Property Rights (can be called IPR). It is an exclusive right of the creator which arises automatically based on declarative principles after a creation is realized in real form. In this case, Dhani Ahmad Prasetyo or more familiarly known as Ahmad Dhani, is the leader of the Dewa 19 music band, which is one of the legendary bands in Indonesia. Since Ahmad Dhani's creative work is one of the souls of the music scene in Indonesia, he forbids anyone from being a professional singer to perform his work for conventional needs. This is also in force to the former vocalist of Dewa 19, namely Once Mekel. He officially pursues a solo career who often performs Dewa 19 songs for commercial purposes without giving royalties. This is a violation of the copyright of a song and must be fulfilled by royalties towards the creator of the original musical work, namely Ahmad Dhani as the creator of the work. The research method in this study used descriptive-analytic research with normative juridical methods. Copyright is regulated in Law Number 28 of 2014 concerning Copyright. Commercial use of copyrighted works without permission will be subject to sanctions in accordance with the provisions of Article 113 paragraph (2) of Law No. 28 of 2014, with a maximum imprisonment of 3 (three) years and/or a maximum fine of IDR 500.000.000 (five hundred million rupiah)

Abstract

This research attempts to uncover the manipulation of lexical relations in building cultural humor by applying embedded case study that uses qualitative methods to analyze data from the YouTube Shorts of the ISMO account. The data was purposively collected from popular videos on the channel. The analysis reveals that stand-up comedians use lexical relations, such as hyponymy, meronymy, antonymy, and homonymy, to create cultural humor through hook and punchline. Unlike previous studies, this research explains how lexical relations are constructed in humor with a hook-punchline structure. It also shows how certain types of lexical relations can be utilized by breaking them down into hook and punchline keywords or by combining them directly through stories or narratives. This information can serve as a reference not only for the audience but also for comedians to develop more creative methods of building humor.

Abstract

The Kacirebonan Palace in Cirebon City, known for its Javanese culture, houses a unique settlement surrounded by the Balutanti Fort. Baluarti Keraton Kacirebonan blends Chinese, Colonial, and Traditional-era buildings, preserving Javanese customs and procedures. However, challenges such as lack of authority, unclear preservation concepts, reliance on government subsidies, conflicts of interest, and low community participation hinder its preservation. This study uses Combined Strategies, combining Historical Research and Qualitative Research, to analyze objects from the past and examine their relationship with architectural design. Data sources include inscriptions, writings, and local experiences. Palaces often change over time, maintaining their architectural style by comparing new buildings with old ones. The roof shape, openings, and columns of new buildings often resemble those of the old building. The chessboard pattern, used for small towns with defense, agriculture, and trade functions, is also prevalent. Social factors and cultural influences significantly influence the spatial layout of a settlement. The Kacirebonan Palace complex, located southwest of Kasepuhan Palace and 500 meters south of Kanoman Palace, spans 46,500 square meters and features a Chinese-mixing style, Colonial, and Traditional era building. Baluarti settlement, part of the palace area, has a grid pattern with small, narrow roads, following the Palace's tradition. Baluarti, a Javanese settlement, is a residence for nobles, high-ranking priyayi, and courtiers of the Kacirebonan Palace. The settlement is characterized by a magersari system, where the king gives land for Abdidalem''s residence. The social status of the Baluarti community is derived from its family line, with most citizens having titles obtained from the king. Keraton Kacirebonan''s architecture blends Colonial, Chinese, and Javanese styles, while religious beliefs, social status, and the traditional magersari system influence the Baluarti settlement's layout.
