Abstract

Critical thinking is a necessity in thinking, but the problem is that not everyone is able to think critically. In this research, researchers used reading activities as a way to realize critical thinking skills. Using the literature study method, this research was then carried out to strengthen the analysis that reading is the most magical key to being able to think critically through step by step in its efforts. Steps that can be taken from reading are to stimulate brain cells so they get used to thinking, foster creativity, and also increase vocabulary.

Abstract

Abstract. The purpose of this article is to show how the Independent Curriculum program implemented by BBGP Central Java Province has affected the progress of education in Indonesia, especially in improving the quality of teachers. Therefore, teachers must be able to adapt to government regulations in order to achieve national education goals and be able to provide effective and efficient quality learning in encouraging a globally competitive generation, so that teachers must master 4 (four) competencies, namely pedagogical, professional, social and personality. One of the Independent Curriculum programs is teacher mobilization, which is a regional government initiative to strengthen teacher competence and quality through improving pedagogical abilities, leadership and the application of innovation in the learning process. This writing uses a descriptive qualitative method with the data collection techniques used are interviews and literature reviews. The place used for writing this article is the Center for Teacher Mobilization in Central Java Province. The research results show that the entire Merdeka Curriculum program is aimed at improving education in Indonesia, especially the teacher mobilization program which has an important role in improving and increasing the quality of teachers in Central Java. Through BBGP Central Java Province, teachers have the opportunity to take part in training and coaching aimed at improving teaching skills, understanding the latest curriculum, and applying innovative learning methods, so that teachers are able to design learning processes that are relevant to the Merdeka Curriculum, namely learning that emphasizes differentiation, social learning. emotional, and positive discipline.

Abstract

This journal writing is based on the short story stepmother by Afifah Ardi. Explains and provides an in-depth picture of what the character Minut faces, a child who experiences physical violence from his stepmother and bears the burden of being a substitute mother for his younger siblings. The formulation of the problem is how the physical violence and mental pressure experienced by the character Minut can affect his physical and psychological development. The background of this short story is related to the phenomenon of family violence and its long-term impact on children. The research method used is hermeneutics, with a focus on interpretation and analysis of short story texts. The theoretical study includes previous research on violence against female characters in literature and its relevance to the suffering of Minut characters. The results of the discussion show that physical violence and mental pressure have an impact not only physically, but also psychologically, creating an internal struggle for Minut’s character between obligation and personal bitterness. Minut’s character, even though he is full of disappointment, resentment and fatigue, still shows strength of character in protecting his younger siblings. The conclusion highlights the urgency of raising awareness of family violence and the need for action to protect children’s rights.

Abstract

The existence of Buddhist students who experience academic stress in Buddhist religious education study programs is the reason researchers research academic stress in Buddhist students and its impact on student learning outcomes. Psychology as a broad science has many important tasks in human life. In this case, the role of psychology can certainly influence student stress management. From the role of psychology in managing student stress, we know what factors cause stress in students, what the negative impact of stress is, what role psychology plays in managing student stress, and what aspects constitute social support in managing student stress. The aim of research (1) is to explain the causes of academic stress among Buddhist students. (2) analyze the role of psychology in stress management. This research uses a literature review. Case study approach. Research data was collected through a literature review. Data validity using triangulation. The research results show that students experience obstacles in their learning process as follows: Parental demands and academic stress influence learning outcomes such as negative stress and positive stress.

Abstract

Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) merupakan tanggung jawab perusahaan terhadap permasalahan dan keinginan masyarakat, sehingga dapat menghasilkan dampak positif bagi lingkungan masyarakat di berbagai bidang, seperti sosial, ekonomi dan politik (Agudelo, Jóhannsdóttir, & Davídsdóttir, 2019). Pelaksanaan kegiatan CSR memiliki tujuan dalam membina hubungan baik dengan seluruh pihak yang terlibat oleh perusahaan sekaligus mewujudkan citra baik perusahaan melalui hubungan timbal balik dan memperoleh kepercayaan dari masyarakat. Program Corporate Social Responsibility berupa beasiswa akan berkontribusi positif terhadap reputasi perusahaan. Reputasi perusahaan yang baik mampu mengelola risiko bisnis yang tinggi, sehingga mampu mencegah krisis yang kemungkinan terjadi. Tujuan dari program beasiswa pada PT Insani Prima Konsultindo yaitu mencetak Sumber Daya Manusia (SDM) yang profesional dalam melaksanakan tugas dan tanggung jawabnya dalam bekerja. SDM merupakan faktor yang penting bagi keberlangsungan perusahaan. Manfaat yang diperoleh perusahaan yaitu regenerasi tenaga kerja profesional, dikarenakan persyaratan untuk uji sertifikasi merupakan lulusan S1.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to reveal and describe the structure of Tor Tor Naposo Nauli Bulung dance performance at a wedding ceremony in Sawah Mudik, West Pasaman Regency. This type of research is qualitative research with descriptive methods. The researcher's own research instruments and aids such as pens and cameras. Primary data and secondary data were used in this research material. Data were collected through literature study, observation, interviews and documentation. The stages of data analysis are data collection, data presentation and conclusions. The results proved that the structure of the Tor Tor Naposo Nauli Bulung Dance performance at the wedding party in Sawah Mudik consisted of movement, floor patterns, music, clothing, makeup and performance venues. Tor Tor dance consists of four movements, namely: Pangurdot movement, Pangegal movement, Pangeal movement and Pangurdot movement. The floor pattern of the Tor Tor Dance is round and straight. Musical instruments use traditional musical instruments such as gondang, flute and trumpet. Tor-tor dance clothes with the head facing outward, the outside is a typical and traditional fabric of the Batak tribe. The dominant colors of the outer fabric are red, black and white, decorated with various gold or silver threads. Tor-tor dance makeup wears beautiful makeup. The place where the tor-tor marriage contract dance performance takes place in front of the bride's house, where a special tent has been set up for the performance of the tor-tor dance, The use of Tor-tor dance in the Jorong Sawah Mudik community is as a means of entertainment, a sign of respect for elders, so that all people know that the bride and groom have been released and are not on the members of naposo nauli bulung (young men), bow down and beg for affection to the person who is le.

Abstract

This study aims to determine and describe the inheritance of Tiger Ngagah Dance in Pulau Tengah Village, Keliling Danau District, Kerinci Regency. This type of research is qualitative research with a descriptive approach to analysis. This research instrument is the researcher himself and is assisted by supporting instruments in the form of stationery, cameras and flash drives. The data in this study used primary data and secondary data. Data collection techniques are carried out by means of literature studies, observations, interviews and documentation. The steps of analyzing data are data collection, data reduction, data presentation and conclusions. The results showed that the inheritance form of the Tiger Ngagah Dance, Central Island Village, Keliling Danau District, Kerinci Regency uses a closed inheritance system. The closed inheritance system can be done based on lineage, kinship, and community or group, or based on clan or tribe. In addition, closed inheritance can also be validated in the similarity of regional identity or villages and villages. The purpose of the closed system is that those who can inherit the dance must be based on the lineage of the previous heir or must be from the line of descent from the heir who will hand over the inheritance of the Tiger Ngagah dance.

Abstract

Education is crucial for human resources in Indonesia; factors such as inequality of teaching staff, lack of facilities and budget affect the quality of education. Creative teachers in learning methods determine success. The PBL approach in sociology in high school is considered relevant, despite challenges such as lack of social interaction and motivation to learn. Research at SMAN 8 Mandai focuses on implementing PBL using the PTK method in two cycles, involving PBL learning innovation with exploration, elaboration and confirmation stages. Evaluation uses observation, tests and interviews. The results show significant improvement in cycle II, reaching the level of learning completeness. In conclusion, PBL is effective in improving the quality of sociology learning in class XI IPS 1 SMAN 8 Mandai.

Abstract

This research aims to describe the process in the Duai Boe traditional ceremony and analyze the meaning of the symbols used in the Duai Boe traditional ceremony. The researcher used qualitative method. Data collection techniques used in this research are interview and documentation. The results of the research found that there are two stages of the Duai Boe traditional ceremony. The first stages is called Bantang and the second stage is called Paduwai Atowene Ka Boe Tella which is the final stage of Duai Boe traditional ceremony. There are eight symbols used in the Duai Boe traditional ceremony, namely 1) The coconut water symbolizes that in the future the baby can be useful for many people, 2) The rice symbolizes that the mother has performed the Duai Boe ceremony, 3) The ring symbolizes a hope that this child will be attractive like gold, 4) the thread tied around the baby's wrist symbolizes that this baby does not get sick, such as wounds or redness on the wrists, feet, elbows, groin, stomach and neck, 5) money symbolizes as a family thank you to the Sandro for the assistance provided from the beginning of childbirth until the ritual ceremony is complete, 6) knife blade stuck in a cloth has been burnt symbolizes that spirits don't approach and disturb the baby's mother because spirits don't like the smell of burning cloth, 7) The Incense symbolizes calling the spirits of the ancestors to come witness the ritual and are expected to pray for the baby so that what the family hopes for in the future will be achieved.

Abstract

This research is classroom action research which aims to determine the improvement in student learning outcomes in the class X informatics subject at SMA Negeri 5 Maros. The subjects of this research were class X of SMA Negeri 5 Maros for the 2023/2024 academic year with a total of 35 people. This research was carried out in two cycles and each cycle consisted of 6 meetings. The results of this research show that the application of Quizziz-based learning media can improve the effectiveness and learning outcomes of students in informatics subjects. Quantitative analysis shows that learning outcomes in the initial test were 38.88%, in cycle I there was an increase of 52.77% and then in cycle II it was 100%. This means that there is a significant increase in student learning outcomes.
