Abstract

Children's independence is an important character to be built from an early age and is influenced by parenting patterns. Parenting has an important role in shaping children's independence. This study aims to compare several aspects of research results between 2019 and 2024. This study used a Systematic Review or Systematic Literature Review (SLR) approach with the preferred reporting items for systematic reviews and meta-analyses (PRISMA) method. The results showed that parenting has a significant influence on early childhood independence. Parenting that provides a combination of freedom clear boundaries, and balanced shows a fairly high correlation of 0.674 which indicates that it is very influential on children's independence. Abstract

This study aims to analyze the influence of gender stereotypes held by Early Childhood Education (PAUD) teachers on the physical, motoric and social emotional development of early childhood. Gender stereotypes can influence the way teachers interact with children, which in turn can affect their development in various aspects. The method used in this research is a quantitative method with a survey design. Data was collected through questionnaires distributed to PAUD teachers and direct observation of teacher interactions with children in class. The research results show that teachers' gender stereotypes significantly influence children's physical, motoric and social emotional development. Teachers who hold strong gender stereotypes tend to provide more support and opportunities to children according to traditional gender roles, resulting in an imbalance in the development of physical motor and social emotional skills between boys and girls. This research suggests the need for training for PAUD teachers to be aware of and overcome gender stereotypes, as well as the importance of more inclusive and gender-sensitive educational approaches to support the holistic development of early childhood.

Abstract

This research aims to examine young children's self-confidence in public speaking activities. Self-confidence is an important aspect of children's development that influences their ability to communicate effectively in public. This study uses a qualitative approach with observation and interview methods to collect data from a group of young children who are involved in public speaking activities in formal education environments. The research results show that young children's self-confidence in public speaking activities can be increased through positive environmental support, consistent practice, and providing constructive feedback. A supportive environment includes teachers and parents who provide encouragement and recognition for children's efforts. In addition, activities that are systematically designed to involve children in speaking in front of their friends can strengthen their self-confidence. Structured public speaking practice helps children develop verbal and non-verbal communication skills, and reduces any fear or anxiety they may feel when speaking in public. Positive and constructive feedback from teachers and friends also plays an important role in strengthening children's self-confidence.
