Abstract

This research examines the form of code switching and code mixing in the novel "Dear Allah" by Diana Feby. The aim is to describe the form of code switching in the novel. The results showed that there was code switching in the form of: a) Indonesian to Arabic switching and b) Indonesian to English switching c) Indonesian to Javanese switching. There are factors that cause code-switching in the novel "Dear Allah" by Diana Febi which is due to the presence of speakers or speakers, interlocutors or listeners, changes in the topic of conversation and the subject matter.

Abstract

Language is a means of communication that is used by each individual. Language is something that is needed and has a very important role as an expression of the existing soul. This study aims to analyze code-switching and code-mixing in the Glen Anggara story novel by Luluk HF. The method in this research is descriptive qualitative which is carried out using document studies. The type of this research is in the form of fragments or quotations in the novel. The technique used in this research is the reading then note technique which is related to code switching and code mixing in the novel Glen Anggara Story by Luluk HF. The results of this study indicate that the Glen Anggara story has 54 quotes about code-switching and 16 quotes about code-mixing. But what is most dominant is the code switching in Glen Anggara's novel by Luluk HF which mixes Indonesian with English, Javanese, Korean and Arabic. However, the most dominant among the languages used for code switching in the novel is a mixture of Indonesian and English.

Abstract

This study analyzes code switching and code mixing in the novel "Senja&Pagi" by Alffy Rev. The aim of research on code-switching in languages is to understand and analyze the phenomenon of using more than one language or variations of languages in certain conversations or communication contexts. There is an external form of code switching in the form of language switching which includes: a) Indonesian to Arabic switching and b) Indonesian to English switching, and there is also internal code switching, namely c) Indonesian to Javanese switching. In the novel "Senja & Pagi" by Alffy Rev there are factors that cause code switching due to the presence of a speaker or speakers, interlocutors or listeners, changes in subject matter and topics of conversation.

Abstract

This research was conducted to analyze the forms of code-switching and code-mixing in Anif Khasanah's novel Selamat Tinggal Pagi Selamat Datang Senja. The purpose of this research is to explain the use of code switching and code mixing in the novel Selamat Tinggal Pagi Selamat Datang Senja. This research succeeded in explaining that there was code switching in the form of Indonesian into Javanese, translating Indonesian into English, Indonesian into Arabic. The background of this code switching is the speaker and listener. Not only code switching, there is also code mixing in the form of words, code mixing in the form of clauses and code mixing in the form of phrases. Factors that cause code-mixing in the novel Selamat Tinggal Pagi Selamat Datang Senja are the desire to explain the identity of the variety, and change the topic of conversation. Abstract

This study aims to determine whether there is an effect of the storytelling method on language skills in group B children at Yapis Merauke Kindergarten. This study used an experimental research type, with a pre-experimental research design in the form of a One Group Pretest-Posttest Design. The population of this study was all of the children in Group B at Yapis Merauke Kindergarten in the academic year 2022/2023 totaling 40 children who were divided into 2 parallel classes namely classes B1 and B2 and the research sample was children from group B1 with a total of 20 children taken using a probability sampling technique with a simple type random sampling. Data analysis used paired sample t-test. The research results obtained t count = 13.2587 greater than t table = 1.72913 which means H0 is rejected and Ha is accepted so it can be concluded that there is an influence on children's language skills using the storytelling method in Group B1 Kindergarten Yapis Merauke.

Abstract

This research discusses the analysis of the development of language in children aged5-6years. The objectives of this study are (1) to determine the development of the language of children aged 5-6years; (2) to determine the factors of language development in children aged 5-6years. Understanding language is an initial effort to develop children‟s language development so that they can interact with their interlocutors. The type of research used is qualitative research with descriptive qualitative methods. Located in Islamic Kindergarten Almawaddah Semarang by looking at 2 research sources, namely 1 primary data source (educator) and secondary data source (3 early childhood children) aged5-6years. Data collection techniques used are interviews, observation and documentation. The data analysis techniques used are data reduction, data presentation, conclusion drawing and verification. The results of this study indicate that the analisysis of the development of language in children aged5-6years in Islamic Almawaddah Semarang develops as expected. The shortcoming in this study is the attachment which should be more complete with the results of the documenyation in the study and does not include the result of the video during observation and interviews at school. There are 4 indicators of language development of children aged5-6years, namely: a). Understand multiple commands at the same time. b). repeating more complex sentences. c). Understand the rules of a game. d). Enjoy and appreciate reading. The implication of the research shos that early childhood aged 5-6 years are expected to keep the spirit of learning independently at home to be able to further develop the development of understanding language in children, educators and parent are expected to pay more attention in providing lessons for their children so that their ability to understand children‟s language can develop. And researchers are expected to be more creative in conducting future research and further researchers, in order to obtain maximum results.

Abstract

Free association among students is a social problem that often occurs in Indonesia. One of the contributing factors is the lack of parents' role in supervising and guiding their children. This study aims to analyze the role of parents in preventing promiscuity among students. This research uses qualitative research methods with data collection techniques through interviews and observation. The research subjects were 10 parents of students at a high school in Makassar. The data obtained were then analyzed using thematic analysis techniques. The results of the study show that parents play an important role in preventing promiscuity among students. Schools also have a role, although not as big as the role of parents, this is because schools have programs free of bullying and sexual harassment so that they are considered to have contributed to building and shaping the character of students who are not easily drawn into promiscuity. Parents who are active in supervising their children and provide clear direction regarding applicable social norms are able to prevent their children from falling into promiscuity. In addition, parents also play a role in providing guidance on the importance of maintaining reproductive health and strengthening religious and moral values ​​to their children. In conclusion, this study shows that the role of parents in preventing promiscuity among students is very important. Therefore, there is a need for support from schools and the community in educating parents about the importance of their role in preventing promiscuity among students.

Abstract

Learning media is a tool that is used as an intermediary from the teacher to students which contains material to achieve learning objectives. The research used in this study is research and development (Research and Development). The model used in this research is ADDIE (Anlysis, Design, Development, Implementation, Evaluation). The purpose of this research is to produce a Pop up book media that is suitable for learning activities in class IV SDN Bangkingan II/442 Surabaya. The instruments used in collecting data were validation test questionnaires for media experts, material experts, audience and pre-test, post-test questions. After conducting research by conveying material through Pop up book media, it increased through the post-test scores, which experienced an increase in the average score of 80-100 for each student.

Abstract

This study aims to increase the activeness of students' critical thinking in Sociology Learning by applying the Problem-Based Learning Model. The subjects in this study were students of class X IPS 1 at SMA Muhammadiyah 6 Makassar with a total of 17 students, consisting of 8 male students and 9 female students. The research method used in this research is descriptive qualitative using a class action research design consisting of two cycles. Data collection techniques using observation techniques, student learning outcomes tests, and field notes. In this study, a multiple choice test was conducted at the end of the cycle. The results of this study indicate that student learning outcomes in cycle I obtained an average value of 60 and an average percentage value of 60%, while the classical completeness of 60% was in the sufficient category and continued in the next cycle in cycle II action obtained an average of 83 .0, the average percentage gain is 83.0% with 90% classical completeness in the very good category. The results of the data on cycle II activities have fulfilled the KKM which has been determined by the student learning outcomes in thematic learning obtained by cycle I and cycle II indicating that there has been an average increase of 30%. Based on the research results, it can be concluded that the application of the problem-based learning model can increase the activeness of critical thinking in learning Sociology in class X IPS 1 at Muhammadiyah 6 Makassar High School in the 2022/2023 Academic Year.
