Abstract

The elderly represent a group of individuals undergoing the aging process, and their global population, including Indonesia, continues to increase, as reported by the WHO. Family social support plays a crucial role in maintaining the health and well-being of the elderly. This study aims to provide an overview of family support for the elderly in PPRSLU Budi Sejahtera Banjarbaru. The research adopts a quantitative approach with a target sample size of 89 individuals. However, due to convenience sampling, only 36 respondents could be included in the study. Data collection involved a modified family support questionnaire based on previous research. The result is Out of 36 respondents, 11 individuals (30.5%) reported receiving high family support, while 25 individuals (69.5%) experienced low family support. These findings indicate that the need for family support, particularly in instrumental and emotional aspects, is not entirely met among the elderly in PPRSLU Budi Sejahtera Banjarbaru. The majority of elderly individuals in PPRSLU Budi Sejahtera Banjarbaru experience limitations in family support. Therefore, it is crucial to address these issues and enhance the support provided to the elderly, especially in terms of instrumental and emotional support, to improve their quality of life.

Abstract

Depression in the elderly is an issue that is often encountered in society. The aging process which results in a decrease in physical function can affect the psychological and social life of the elderly, thereby reducing the quality of life of the elderly. Changes in roles and changes in physical conditions and social life are risk factors that increase the potential for depression experienced by the elderly. The research aimed to describe the signs of depression experienced by the elderly at one of the PPRSLUs in South Kalimantan. It is using quantitative methods with a descriptive survey design. Data were collected using GDS-15 on 89 elderly people. The research results showed that 70% of elderly people were detected as having signs of depression. There are six symptoms that are most commonly experienced, namely feeling that life is empty, often feeling bored, often feeling helpless, feeling worthless in the current situation, feeling that the situation is hopeless, and feeling dissatisfied with one's life. Therefore, it is necessary to modify daily activities with the principles of group activity therapy, promotive and preventive health services for elderly mental health, as well as regular and consistent depression screening services.

Abstract

Schizophrenia is a syndrome with multiple ethology, outcome differ depending on the chronic course of the diseases, and the balance of physical, genetic also influences in the country. Schizophrenia patients have psychotic symptoms, so the main psychopharmacology given to schizophrenia patients is antipsychotics. The main treatment for schizophrenia is antipsychotic drugs, many schizophrenia patients receive combination therapy with antipsychotic drugs. Drug interactions generally refer to changes in drug response resulting from a patient's exposure to a drug or other substance. The potential severity of interactions is important for evaluating the risks and benefits of alternative treatments. Severity is classified into mild severity (effects are usually mild), moderate severity (new effects may cause severity of the patient's disease), and severe severity (possibly life-threatening or may cause permanent damage). This study aims to determine drug interactions and treatment patterns regarding pharmacokinetic and pharmacodynamics interactions in schizophrenia patients at Iskak Tulungagung Hospital. The research method uses analytics with retrospective data collection. The research sample consisted of 48 respondents in the categories mild (2%), moderate (78%), and severe (20%). The results display is potential for drug interactions in the form of pharmacodynamics potential (97%) which dominates more than pharmacokinetic potential (3%).

Abstract

School-aged children are a group that is vulnerable to experiencing nutritional problems (undernutrition and overnutrition). Factors that influence a person's nutrition are a lack of knowledge and attitudes towards balanced nutrition. Providing balanced nutrition education from an early age is a strategy to prevent nutritional problems in school-aged children. Education on balanced nutrition for school-aged children is important because eating habits at this age can influence food preferences and consumption at a later age. This research aims to develop card game-based balanced nutrition education media for students and determine its feasibility and effectiveness in increasing knowledge and attitudes about balanced nutrition. The research method used is the research and development (R&D) method with the ADDIE model. The results of this research are card game-based balanced nutrition education media with a feasibility score of 98.80% for material and 92.26% for media. This media was tested on 40 students with pretest and posttest instruments. The results of statistical tests using the t-test showed that there was a significant influence on the use of the Gimbang Game educational media on increasing knowledge and attitudes towards balanced nutrition among students at SDN 32 Ampenan, Mataram City with a significance result of ?=0.000 (?<0.005).

Abstract

Body Height and body mass are the most common parameters in forensics. However, in some situations it is not possible to measure the height and weight of the perpetrator or victim due to a lack of evidence in the crime scene area. Several previous studies have shown that height and body mass can be measured effectively using footprints. This research aims to develop formulas for adult body height and body mass using anthropometric measurements on the soles of the feet. Measurements were carried out on 105 (54 men and 51 women) Airlangga University students aged 18-23 years from August 2022 to November 2022. The data was analyzed for correlation statistics and regression statistics using the SPSS statistical application. Through the correlation test, foot length and foot width were strongly correlated with body height and body mass, but foot length was only correlated with body height. There are significant differences between foot length and foot width in the female and male populations, so estimates were calculated separately into 2 groups without involving foot length. Based on the results of the regression analysis, a formula was obtained to estimate body height and body mass. The formula for predicting height for the male group is Y = 72.768 + 2.610(PKKn) + 0.9(PKKr) + 0.135(LKKn) + 0.551(LKKr). For the female group, the height prediction formula is Y = 94.789 + 0.751(PKKn) + 1.575(PKKr) – 0.533(Lkkn) + 1.205(LKKr). The body mass prediction formula for the male group is expressed as Y = (-101.221) - 1.170(PKKn) - 0.400(PKKr) + 13.561(LKKn) + 7.596(LKKr). The body mass formula for the female group was not obtained because the distribution of body mass data for the female group was not normal. Thus, three formulas are obtained that can be used to predict height and body mass based on the length of the soles of the feet and the width of the soles of the feet.

Abstract

Mother's breast milk is the best food for babies because it is able to meet children's nutritional needs during 0-6 months. One of the problems with exclusive breastfeeding is that breast milk production. This was an impact on achieving exclusive breastfeeding coverage, based on UNICEF data, exclusive breastfeeding coverage in Indonesia is around 50.7% for children under five aged 0-6 months. Breast milk has many benefits for babies and mothers, some of which are breast milk containing various complete nutrients for babies, strengthening and establishing love between mother and baby, reducing the risk of bleeding and speeding up the recovery of the mother's health. Based on this background, it is necessary to carry out research which aims to examine and determine the factors that determine the failure of providing exclusive breastfeeding to working mothers. The method used in this research is a critical review of complete texts in Indonesian. Articles were selected in stages using the Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Review and Meta Analysis (PRISMA) assessment tool, then duplicate filtering was carried out, screening was carried out based on title and abstract, full text, feasibility study and until the final stage 8 articles were found that met the inclusion criteria and feasibility study. The results of research based on 8 selected articles found that the determining factors for the failure of exclusive breastfeeding for working mothers were the level of education, knowledge and attitudes. Factors that may occur are insufficient working hours and breast milk production. The strengthening factor is support from superiors, family and health workers
