Abstract

Workshop Pra Jabatan Pengurus Orang Muda Katolik diselenggarakan sebagai sarana pembekalan awal bagi para calon pengurus agar memiliki pemahaman, keterampilan, serta sikap dasar yang diperlukan dalam menjalankan tanggung jawab organisasi. Kegiatan ini bertujuan untuk memperkuat identitas OMK Paroki Katedral St. Yoseph Maumere dalam iman Katolik , menumbuhkan jiwa kepemimpinan yang berlandaskan nilai-nilai Kristiani, serta mengembangkan kemampuan manajerial dan komunikasi yang efektif. Melalui pendekatan partisipatif berupa diskusi, simulasi, dan kerja kelompok, OMK diajak untuk mengalami proses pembelajaran yang kontekstual sekaligus membangun kebersamaan. Hasil yang diharapkan adalah terciptanya pengurus Orang Muda Katolik Paroki Katedral St. Yoseph Maumere yang kompeten, berintegritas, serta siap mengemban misi pelayanan di tengah Gereja dan masyarakat. Workshop ini menjadi fondasi penting untuk mendukung keberlanjutan dan dinamika organisasi Orang Muda Katolik dalam menjawab tantangan zaman.

Abstract

The Annual Members’ Meeting (Rapat Anggota Tahunan or RAT) is the highest forum in cooperatives, serving as a medium for the board’s accountability to members as well as a venue for strategic decision-making. KSP Kopdit Obor Mas, one of the largest cooperatives in Eastern Indonesia with more than 240,000 members and assets reaching IDR 7.8 trillion, faces several challenges in conducting RAT, including low member participation, the complexity of financial reports, and the demand for compliance with regulations and the cooperative’s Articles of Association/Bylaws. This community service activity aimed to assist the implementation of RAT to ensure greater transparency, participation, and accountability. The methods included coordination with the board and supervisory committee, preparation of mentoring modules, socialization, simplification of financial reports, RAT simulations, and forum evaluation. The results show increased member participation, more accessible financial reporting, and a better-organized RAT conducted in accordance with regulations. The discussion highlights that mentoring activities strengthen Good Cooperative Governance and improve cooperative management practices. Thus, this activity contributes to enhancing institutional capacity and can serve as a model for sustainable cooperative development in other regions.

Abstract

The development of digital technology, especially artificial intelligence (AI), has had a significant impact on the world of work, requiring the younger generation to have qualified technological literacy. However, church youth often face limited access to information and technology-based training. This Community Service Activity (PKM) aims to increase technology literacy and basic understanding of AI for the youth of the HKBP Bethesda Perumnas Mandala Church as an effort to prepare for career readiness in the digital era. The implementation method is in the form of an interactive workshop that includes the delivery of materials, discussions, and questions and answers involving 75 participants of productive age. The results of the activity showed a significant increase in participants' understanding of AI concepts, ethics in the use of technology, and strategies for dealing with digital-based career opportunities. The active discussion of the participants showed enthusiasm and readiness to adapt to technological transformation. This activity proves that collaboration between universities and churches is effective in strengthening the digital capacity of the younger generation, and can be a model of sustainable empowerment in the religious community.

Abstract

This community service program aims to enhance the competitiveness and market access of Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) through the implementation of digitalization in human resource management and product governance strategies. The activities were carried out using a participatory approach involving MSME actors, lecturers, and students to ensure program sustainability. The implementation methods included identifying partner needs, planning activities, training on the use of digital applications for HR management, conducting market-oriented product management workshops, and providing intensive field mentoring. The results showed a significant improvement in participants’ digital skills, particularly in utilizing technology for workforce management and business operations. Additionally, participants demonstrated increased creativity in product packaging and presentation, making their products more attractive to consumers. The program also fostered the emergence of adaptive local leadership and raised collective awareness of the importance of digital transformation in business development. Overall, this activity demonstrates that integrating digitalization in HR management with effective product governance can strengthen MSMEs’ market position and contribute to accelerating sustainable economic transformation.

Abstract

Pregnancy is a natural process that occurs from conception to the growth of the fetus in the womb. Lemon aromatherapy is an alternative method to reduce nausea and vomiting. When essential oils are inhaled, volatile molecules will carry the aromatic elements contained in the oil to the tip of the nose. The aim is to determine the effect of lemon aromatherapy on the frequency of reducing nausea and vomiting in pregnant women in the first trimester at the Biru-Biru Community Health Center. This study used the Quasy Experiment method with a One Group Pretest Posttest Design by conducting a Pretest before giving treatment and a Posttest after giving treatment. The population of this study were pregnant women who experienced nausea and vomiting in pregnant women in the first trimester at the Biru-Biru Community Health Center. Sampling was carried out using a total sampling technique, resulting in 30 pregnant women experiencing nausea and vomiting. The results obtained from the study, respondents who did not experience nausea and vomiting after being given lemon aromatherapy were 14 people, 11 people experienced mild nausea and vomiting, and 5 people experienced moderate nausea and vomiting. The analysis used in this study was the Wilcoxon test, which obtained a value (p = 0.000 < 0.05) and there was an effect of lemon aromatherapy on the frequency of reducing nausea and vomiting in pregnant women at the Biru-Biru Community Health Center.

Abstract

This community service activity aims to improve the scientific presentation skills of students from KIR BERSINAR at SMA Negeri 1 Kajen through an interactive socialization program on effective and engaging scientific paper presentation techniques. The implementation methods included delivering materials using PowerPoint slides, conducting interactive quizzes via the Quiziz application, and holding discussions followed by drawing conclusions. The activity was attended by 15 students and carried out in three stages: preparation, implementation, and closing. The results showed a significant improvement in students’ understanding of scientific presentation techniques, including structuring material, using communicative language, and enhancing public speaking skills. The participants demonstrated high enthusiasm, actively engaged in discussions, and responded well to questions. Quiz results indicated that most students were able to comprehend and apply the material presented. Furthermore, the activity fostered students’ confidence in expressing their ideas and opinions orally. Overall, this community service activity made a positive contribution to developing students’ scientific communication skills and strengthening the academic culture within the school environment.

Abstract

Puberty is an important period in the development of young girls, marked by various physical, emotional, and social changes. A lack of understanding about puberty and menstruation often leads to feelings of anxiety, shame, and poor hygiene practices. Therefore, early education is essential to help female students recognize their body changes and maintain reproductive health properly. This community service was conducted at MI Tamrinussibyan 1 Al Hikmah Benda, specifically targeting early adolescent female students. The activity was carried out through interactive counseling and group discussions, supported by presentation media and illustrations. The topics covered included an introduction to puberty, understanding menstruation, healthy eating habits, and practices for maintaining personal hygiene and reproductive health. The results showed an improvement in the students' understanding of reproductive health, accompanied by a positive change in their attitudes toward self-care during menstruation. This program is expected to provide essential knowledge for students to navigate puberty in a healthy, clean, and confident manner.

Abstract

This Community Service Program (PKM) was carried out to improve the accreditation readiness of SMPIT Ar-Rasyidiyah, Batang Tuaka Subdistrict, Indragiri Hilir Regency, Riau Province, through strengthening school administration and preparing quality documents in accordance with the 2020 Educational Unit Accreditation Instrument (IASP) that will be fully implemented in 2025. The main problems faced by the school included incomplete administrative evidence, limited understanding of the accreditation team regarding the latest technical guidelines, and suboptimal management of digital documentation to support the accreditation process. To address these challenges, the program was implemented through several stages: needs analysis, dissemination of accreditation guidelines, training in the preparation of quality documents, technical assistance in organizing physical and digital files, and evaluation of outcomes. The results showed a significant improvement in the completeness of quality documents, increasing from 62% to 91%. Moreover, the competence of the accreditation team in understanding the IASP 2020 indicators improved, as reflected in their enhanced ability to interpret instruments and prepare supporting evidence. Another innovation was the establishment of a digital storage system using Google Drive, which facilitated integrated access and management of documents. Overall, this mentoring program contributed substantially to improving school management quality and can serve as a replicable model for other Integrated Islamic schools in Indragiri Hilir Regency and surrounding areas.

Abstract

Student sports achievements is not only determined by physical ability, but also by the balance of physical fitness and emotional management. At SMA N 1 Bojong, students in the Special Sports Class (KKO) still face challenges such as such as a lack of understanding of targeted physical fitness, low awareness of healthy lifestyles, and suboptimal emotional regulation. These issues may affect their athletic performance and achievement potential. This community service program aims to provide comprehensive education on the importance of physical fitness and emotional management in supporting sports achievements. The program is expected to increase students’ understanding, reduce injury risks, enhance focus, and build mental resilience among KKO students. The outreach activity was conducted by lecturers and university students in one day and covered two main aspects, namely education on physical fitness and emotional management. The activity applied a participatory approach that actively involved students in theoretical learning, practical sessions, and evaluation through pre-test and post-test assessments. Based on the results, the average pre-test score was 70.7 and the average post-test score was 95.7, indicating an improvement in students’ understanding of both physical fitness and emotional management. It can be concluded that this community service activity successfully improved students’ comprehension regarding physical fitness and emotional management as key factors that support sports achievement. In addition to increasing knowledge, this program also instilled positive values so that students can become athletes who are physically healthy, emotionally intelligent, and strong in character.

Abstract

This community service activity aims to improve the effectiveness of Batikayudewi MSME digital promotion by maximizing the use of Instagram as the main marketing platform. Initial observations show that although MSMEs have been regularly uploading content every day, the promotion of workshop packages as the main product has not been running well. Through a series of activities including observation, interviews, guidance in content creation, and improvements to the publication strategy, the PKM team helped improve the quality and consistency of promotional materials. The results of these activities showed an increase in the number of followers, viewers, and positive interactions on both Instagram accounts, both the main account and the supporting account created during the program. In addition to improvements on social media, business owners also gained a deeper understanding of the basic principles of digital marketing, the importance of informative visual content, and consistency in building brand identity. Overall, this community service activity successfully improved the promotional capabilities of MSMEs and strengthened Batikayudewi's readiness to utilize digital media as a sustainable marketing tool.
