Global Education Trends with E-ISSN: 3030-8623 is an international journal-recognized education area and is published twice a year (June and December). The aim of this journal is to publish studies of high-quality research results in the fields of teaching, learning, instruction, curriculum development, learning environment, teacher education, educational technology, and educational development. Research can relate to all levels, from early childhood to the highest age levels. Global Education Trends, as an international journal, has editorial advisory board members from various countries around the world. Articles submitted to the Journal are always reviewed by two members of the Editorial Advisory Board (double-blind peer review) and, in some cases, if necessary, by other members of the Board. Depending on the evaluation report of the Editorial Advisory Board members, the article is published or not. The article evaluation process takes approximately three months. Abstract

Madrasah adalah lembaga pendidikan yang memiliki misi untuk menyediakan pendidikan berbasis Islam, Oleh karena itu, penting untuk memahami bagaimana guru di madrasah mengintegrasikan konsep rahmatan lil alamin dalam pengajaran dan pembelajaran mereka. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui upaya guru dalam penguatan profil pelajar rahmatan lil alamin dan mengetahui nilai-nilai apa saja yang ditanamkan dalam penguatan profil pelajar rahmatan lil alamin. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif jenis deskriptif. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan yaitu observasi,wawancara, dan dokumentasi. Sumber data dalam penelitian ini yaitu kepala sekolah, guru dan siswa. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan adalah Pengumpulan data, Reduksi data, penyajian data, dan Vertifikasi. Hasil penelitian ini adalah (1)Penerapkan Profil Pelajar Rahmatan Lil’Alamin dilakukan melalui Sholat Dhuha Berjamaah, Sholat Zuhur Berjamaah, Program Da’i Cilik, Mengaji Iqra, Tahfidz, Tilawah (2) Nilai-Nilai yang Terkandung di Dalam Program penguatan Profil Pelajar Rahmatan Lil’alamin yaitu Berkeadaban Nilai Keteladanan, Nilai Kewarganegaraan dan Kebangsaan, Nilai Berimbang ,Nilai Lurus dan Tegas , Nilai Kesetaraan, Nilai Dinamis dan Inovatif .

Abstract

Profil Pelajar Pancasila mencakup kemampuan dan kualitas yang harus dikuasai oleh peserta didik Indonesia pada abad ke-21 ini. Kompetensi dan karakter saling mendukung. Menurut Permendikbud Ristek No. 22 Tahun 2020 tentang Rencana Strategis Kementerian Pendidikan dan Kebudayaan Tahun 2020–2024, Profil Pelajar Pancasila menggambarkan pelajar Indonesia sebagai pelajar sepanjang hayat yang memiliki kompetensi global dan berperilaku sesuai dengan nilai-nilai pancasila. Profil ini memiliki enam pilar, termasuk, 1) Beriman, bertakwa kepada TuhanYang Maha Esa, dan berakhlak mulia, 2) Mandiri, 3) Bernalar Kritis,4) Kreatif, 5) Bergotong-royong,dan 6) Berkebhinekaan globa.Penelitian ini menggunakan metode pengumpulan data yang berbeda melalui studi literatur. Pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan cara mereview berbagai jurnal ilmiah yang berkaitan dengan topik peningkatan karakter kebhinekaan melalui P5 pada siswa di sekolah dasar. Jurnal yang dianalisis juga berasal dari publikasi nasional dan internasional dengan fokus pada peningkatan terhadap karakter kebhinekaan pada siswa di Sekolah Dasar. Adapun upaya yang dapat guru lakukan dalam menembangkan nilai-nilai karakter dalam diri peserta didik sesuai dengan nilai Pancasila adalah dengan memberikan penguatan pendidikan karakter melalui profil pelajar Pancasila kepada guru selama kegiatan pelatihan. Hal ini penting bagi guru dalam meningkatkan kemampuan menyusun pembelajaran berbasis proyek profil pelajar Pancasila serta mampu dalam merencanakan proyek, pendampingan, fasilitator, dan juga narasumber pada kegiatan tersebut. Pendidikan karakter yang didasarkan pada Pancasila memainkan peran penting dalam pembentukan karakter siswa di Indonesia. Seperti yang telah dijelaskan oleh Thomas Lickona, pendidikan karakter dibentuk dengan membimbing peserta didik dalam memahami dan menerapkan prinsip-prinsip etika, terutama yang ada dalam Pancasila. Dengan memasukkan nilai-nilai Pancasila ke dalam kurikulum dan pembelajaran, diharapkan siswa akan mengembangkan karakter yang baik dan siap menghadapi tantangan zaman, termasuk menghadapi globalisasi. Profil Pelajar Pancasila, yang mencakup enam pilar utama: beriman, berkebhinekaan global, gotong royong, mandiri, berpikir kritis, dan kreatif, adalah langkah strategis dalam membentuk karakter siswa yang tidak hanya mahir dalam bidang akademik tetapi juga berbudi pekerti. Pembelajaran berbasis proyek (P5) yang menggabungkan nilai-nilai Pancasila juga membantu peserta didik dalam meningkatkan kemampuannya dalam menganalisa dan memecahkan suatu masalah yang tengah dihadapinya.

Abstract

This study aims to gain a deep understanding of the Management of Pondok Pesantren Abu Hurairah Mataram and more specifically is to understand in depth about curriculum management, teacher management and educational staff, infrastructure management, financial management and student management at boarding school Abu Hurairah Mataram. This type of research is qualitative research with intrinsic design of Case Study. Data collection techniques: Interview, Observation and Documentation. The collected data is examined and researched through Triangulation. Furthermore, the data is organized, interpreted, and concluded so as to produce (1) Curriculum Management at Pondok Pesantren Abu Hurairah Mataram apply KTSP management but more emphasized on Takhassus curriculum (Curriculum Pondok Pesantren) (2) Management of educators and educational staff is more emphasis on recruitment of educators And educational personnel conducted through the tests of intellectual ability, language and talent and interests, have loyalty, selfless spirit (3) Financial management implements open management oriented to the values ​​of justice, honesty and sincere support the management of accountable and transparent .

Abstract

Penelitian ini dilatar belakangi kemajuan teknologi dalam meingkatkan kualitas pendidik dan peserta didik melalui model pembelajaran yang aktif serta memberikan susana pembelajaran yang menyenangkan karena penggunaan model pembelajaran yang efektif merupakan salah satu kunci tercapainya tujuan pembelajaran. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui penerapan model pembelajaran inkuiri pada mata pelajaran IPAS di Sekolah Dasar. Jenis penelitian ini adalah studi literature atau literature review. Data diambil dari internet yang berupa buku, artikel ataupun jurnal tentang model pembelajaran ikuiri pada mata pelajaran IPAS sekolah dasar yang sudah diterbitkan sampai dengan tahun 2024. Kelebihan pada model pembelajaran Inkuiri menekankan pada aspek kognitif, psikomotor, afektif pada diri peserta didik sehingga dapat membantu tercapainya tujuan yang diharapkan serta pembelajaran yang lebih bermakna, sedangkan kekurangan yang terdapat pada model pembelajaran Inkuiri yaitu pembelajaran kurang efektif ketika digunakan untuk peserta didik yang memiliki kemampuan diatas rata-rata.

Abstract

This research explores the evolution of the primary school curriculum in Indonesia over time, with the aim of understanding how social changes, cultural and scientific developments affect curriculum design and implementation. From the beginning of independence, curricula tended to be rigid, focusing on content mastery and memorization. Over time, especially after reformasi, there has been a significant shift towards a more flexible and competency-oriented curriculum that emphasizes character development, 21st century skills and relevance to the local context. This research found that modern curricula, such as Curriculum 2013, integrate a holistic approach that links knowledge, skills and attitudes, creating more meaningful learning experiences for students. The findings show the importance of continuous curriculum evaluation and renewal to face global challenges and create inclusive and quality education in the future.

Abstract

Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh rendahnya keterampilan berbicara siswa. Jenis penelitian ini adalah Penelitian Tindakan Kelas yang dilaksanakan sebanyak dua siklus, Desain Penelitain ini menggunakan model Spiral (Kemmis & Taggart) yang terdiri dari empat tahap, yaitu Perencanaan, Tindakan, Obervasi, dan Refleksi. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan Observasi, wawancara, tes, dan dokumentasi. Analisis data menggunakan analisis kualitatif dan kuantitatif. Indikator keberhasilan penelitian ini adalah minimal 85% siswa yang memperoleh nilai ≥70. Hasil penelitian menujukan bahwa model pembelajaran picture and picture dapat meningkatkan keterampilan berbicara siswa kelas II SDN 20 Ampenan. Keterampilan berbicara siswa pada siklus satu dengan rata-rata 66% peningkatan pada siklus II sebesar 85% pada tindakan ini keterampilan berbicara siswa dengan intonasi suara ekspresi meningkat hingga kriteria ketuntasan yang ditetapkan yaitu minimal 85% siswa yang mampu memperoleh nilai ≥ 70.

Abstract

Perundungan di lingkungan sekolah masih menjadi permasalahan yang mengancam kesejahteraan psikologis dan perkembangan sosial peserta didik. Pendidikan Kewarganegaraan dan kesadaran hukum merupakan instrumen penting dalam menumbuhkan sikap saling menghormati serta mencegah tindakan perundungan di lingkungan sekolah. Artikel ini menggunakan metode kajian pustaka dengan menganalisis berbagai literatur ilmiah, hasil penelitian, dan dokumen kebijakan pendidikan yang relevan untuk mengkaji keterkaitan antara Pendidikan Kewarganegaraan, kesadaran hukum, dan upaya pencegahan perundungan. Kajian menunjukkan bahwa Pendidikan Kewarganegaraan yang dipadukan dengan penguatan kesadaran hukum mampu membentuk nalar moral peserta didik, menumbuhkan empati, serta membangun budaya tanggung jawab. Kombinasi ini membantu siswa memahami konsekuensi hukum dan etika dari perilaku perundungan. Studi ini menegaskan peran strategis Pendidikan Kewarganegaraan sebagai kerangka preventif terhadap perundungan di sekolah melalui pembentukan kesadaran hukum. Integrasi keduanya dalam kurikulum berpotensi menciptakan lingkungan sekolah yang lebih aman dan demokratis. Temuan ini menjadi dasar bagi pendidik dan pembuat kebijakan untuk memperkuat intervensi berbasis kewarganegaraan di dunia pendidikan

Abstract

This study explores the phenomenon of vali-vazaha, marriage or concubinage with foreigners in the Southwest region of Madagascar, where tourism strongly influences local socio-cultural practices. While education is widely recognized as a fundamental right and a cornerstone of sustainable development, many families continue to prioritize early marriage, particularly with vazaha, as a faster route to economic and social mobility. Employing a qualitative field-based approach, data were collected through semi-structured interviews, questionnaires, and participant observation in three rural coastal communes: Itampolo, Belalanda (Mangily), and Befandefa (Andavadoaka). A purposive sample of 30 participants, including parents, young girls, teachers, and community leaders, provided diverse perspectives on the interplay between education, tradition, and marriage practices. The findings reveal a paradox: although education is acknowledged as valuable, its long-term benefits are often overshadowed by the immediate financial advantages of early marriage. Tourism and exposure to foreigners have reshaped local aspirations, reinforcing the perception of marriage with a vazaha as a shortcut to prestige and stability. Girls are the most affected, as they face school dropout, limited autonomy, and early social responsibilities. The study highlights how economic insecurity entrenched cultural norms, and weak institutional support collectively perpetuate this practice. By analyzing these dynamics through Bourdieu's theory of cultural capital, Berry's acculturation framework, and Durkheim's perspective on social norms, the study contributes a novel understanding of how globalization and local traditions intersect in shaping educational trajectories. It underscores the urgent need for context-sensitive policies that both strengthen educational opportunities for girls and address the socio-economic drivers of early marriage.

Abstract

The integration of artificial intelligence (AI) and cloud-based technologies is reshaping higher education globally, yet their impact in fragile contexts remains underexplored. This study evaluates the influence of AI-enabled cloud communication platforms on student engagement in ten private universities in Afghanistan, with a focus on interaction, personalization, motivation, and collaboration. A qualitative research design was employed, using classroom and online observations, document analysis, and semi-structured interviews with faculty, students, and administrators. The findings reveal that these platforms significantly enhanced engagement by fostering real-time communication, adaptive feedback, gamification, and collaborative learning opportunities. However, effectiveness was constrained by infrastructure weaknesses, uneven institutional readiness, limited faculty training, and cultural skepticism regarding AI. The study highlights that technology alone cannot transform education without supportive ecosystems of infrastructure, pedagogy, and ethical guidelines. Its impact lies in providing evidence for policymakers, educators, and administrators seeking to strengthen student-centered learning and digital transformation in higher education. The study suggests future research should adopt mixed methods approaches to measure learning outcomes more systematically, expand to public universities, and explore long-term cultural and ethical implications of AI integration, ensuring digital innovation contributes to equitable and sustainable educational reform in Afghanistan and comparable contexts.

Abstract

Tourism has become an important sector in Madagascar, with growing potential to generate income, create jobs, and foster international exchange. However, its contribution to the country's education system remains underexplored. This study investigates the ways in which tourism interacts with schools and universities, focusing on its impact on infrastructure, teacher capacity, student opportunities, and community perceptions. A qualitative research design is employed, combining direct observation and semi-structured interviews with 30 purposively selected informants, including school directors, teachers, university lecturers, students, parents, tourism operators, and local leaders. Data are analyzed thematically to identify key patterns and cross-validated through triangulation to ensure credibility. Findings reveal that tourism's influence on education in Madagascar is still modest and uneven. Some schools located near tourist destinations benefit from occasional donations or NGO-led projects, but most institutions lack systematic support. Teachers have limited access to training in foreign languages ​​or hospitality skills, which constrains their ability to prepare students for careers linked to tourism. Opportunities for students and universities remain narrow, as internships, vocational pathways, and collaborations with businesses are not yet well developed. Communities recognize tourism's potential to support education but express concern that benefits are concentrated in specific hubs, leaving many rural schools excluded. The study underscores the need for stronger linkages between tourism and education through targeted teacher training, structured internship programs, and equitable revenue-sharing mechanisms. By highlighting both opportunities and gaps, the research provides insights that can guide policymakers, educational institutions, and tourism stakeholders in designing more inclusive strategies. Ultimately, strengthening the connection between tourism and education can enhance human capital, promote equitable development, and contribute to Madagascar's long-term socio-economic progress.
