Abstract

  Problem solving is an ability that students must have. When learning mathematics, students often have difficulty solving problems that are different from the examples given by the teacher. This research aims to describe the problem-solving abilities of Systems of Linear Equations with Three Variables (SPLTV) in terms of students' mathematical disposition. The research method used was descriptive, with a sample consisting of 36 students. The subjects of this research were three people selected from the high, medium and low categories based on the results of a mathematical disposition questionnaire. The selected subjects were given SPLTV problem solving ability questions. Data collection techniques applied in this research include mathematical disposition questionnaires, tests, documentation and interviews. The research results showed that the majority of subjects showed a moderate level of disposition. (2) Subjects with low and medium dispositions experience difficulty in evaluating the problems given, which hinders their ability to proceed to the next step. (3) Subjects with a high level of disposition almost fulfill all indicators of problem-solving ability.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the application of the SAVI (Somatic, Auditory, Visual, Intellectual) learning model on students’ mathematical representation abilities especially on the Pythagorean Theorem theme, using a quantitative approach. The type of this research is descriptive. In this type of research, there is only one group that will receive treatment, which involves being taught using the SAVI learning model. The study concludes that the SAVI learning model has been proven effective in improving students’ mathematical representation abilities. The research shows a significant improvement in students’ learning outcomes after the implementation of this model. Before the application of the SAVI model, the average student score was 25.89. After the implementation, the average student score increased to 65.89. This increase indicates that the SAVI model effectively enhances students’ understanding and mathematical skills. The implementation of this model shows a significant improvement in students’ average scores, from 25.89 before the implementation, to 65.89 after the implementation. The calculation of the N-Gain score also confirms a positive increase in students’ mathematical abilities. Thus, the SAVI model not only improves academic results but also enhances the overall quality of mathematics education, making it a valuable method for application in mathematics education practices.

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to demonstrate an increase in the learning outcomes of fifth grade mathematics students on volume material using the Guided Inquiry learning model. This type of research is classroom action research (PTK). The subjects in this study were 22 fifth grade students from SDN 3 Sungai Besar. Data collection methods using observation, documentation and tests. Data analysis techniques using descriptive qualitative and quantitative. The research data showed that there was an increase in mathematics learning outcomes in students after the action was taken. In Cycle I, the average student learning outcomes were 64 with 27% learning completeness. After using the Guided Inquiry Learning Model in Cycle II, the average student mathematics learning outcome was 71 with 73% learning completeness because there were still students who were not complete. After using the guided inquiry learning model in Cycle III, the average student math learning outcome increased to 81 and all student scores were declared complete, resulting in 100% learning completeness. These results indicate that the guided inquiry model can improve students' math learning outcomes.

Abstract

Dalam konteks pembelajaran geometri, khususnya geometri transformasi, mahasiswa sering merasa bosan dan terbebani dengan keharusan menghafal rumus serta metode perhitungan. Kondisi ini berpotensi menghambat pengembangan kemampuan kognitif mereka, termasuk pemahaman konsep matematis yang esensial untuk pemecahan masalah sehari-hari serta pengembangan daya analisis. Untuk mengatasi masalah ini, penelitian ini menerapkan Model Pembelajaran Berbasis Proyek (PjBL) yang didukung dengan E-Modul.  Tujuan dari penelitian ini,  Dosen berperan sebagai fasilitator dalam pembelajaran mandiri atau kelompok yang terstruktur melalui pembelajaran berbasis PjBL. Penelitian kuantitatif ini menggunakan instrumen tes untuk mengukur kemampuan pemahaman matematis. Sampel terdiri dari 27 mahasiswa Program Studi Matematika Universitas Jambi yang mengambil mata kuliah Geometri pada Semester Ganjil Tahun Akademik 2022/2023. Hasil menunjukkan bahwa penerapan Model PjBL dengan dukungan E-Modul pada topik Geometri Transformasi menghasilkan peningkatan signifikan dalam pemahaman konsep matematis mahasiswa, dengan rata-rata skor gain ternormalisasi sebesar 0.74, yang berada dalam kategori tinggi. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian ini pembelajaran dengan menggunakan E-Modul Topik Geometri Transformasi Berbasis PjBL dapat Meningkatkan Pemahaman Matematis Mahasiswa

Abstract

The background of this study is driven by the need to develop an educational approach that not only focuses on academic aspects but also on the formation of children's social and emotional character. The Child-Friendly School Program as implemented in TK Negeri 23 Dodu Kota Bima is expected to create an environment that is safe, inclusive and supports positive social interactions. This research uses a qualitative approach with a case study method, where data is collected through direct observation, interviews with teachers, parents, and children as well as analysis of school documentation related to the implementation of this program. The results showed that the implementation of the SRA Program at TK Negeri 23 Dodu was effective in shaping a positive culture among children. The program succeeds in creating a safe and comfortable school atmosphere, which allows children to develop better, both socially and emotionally. Teachers and staff play an important role as role models in teaching positive values, while a system of rewards and positive reinforcement increases children's motivation and self-confidence. In addition, collaboration between schools and parents strengthens the implementation of positive values both at school and at home. Overall, the implementation of this program succeeded in shaping children's better character, preparing them to face future social challenges.

Abstract

The development of prosocial attitudes in early childhood is an important aspect in the formation of individual characters who care about others and their environment. The lack of activities that can foster prosocial values is often a challenge in early childhood education institutions. This study aims to examine the implementation of traditional games of the Dragon Snake in developing prosocial attitudes in children aged 5-6 years. This research uses descriptive qualitative methods with the main data sources of students, teachers and related documents at Kuncup Muda Kindergarten. Data collection techniques include observation, interviews, and documentation, while data analysis is carried out through the steps of data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. The results showed that the implementation of the traditional game Snake Dragon in Kuncup Muda Kindergarten involved several stages, namely the introduction and understanding of the game, the formation of cooperation in groups, teaching the value of sharing and taking turns, developing children's communication skills, managing conflicts in groups, cultivating empathy and caring, as well as evaluation and reflection on the implementation of the game. This activity is effective in encouraging children to interact positively, understand other people's perspectives, and strengthen social relationships. The recommendation from this study is that teachers in early childhood education more often utilize traditional games such as the Dragon Snake as an interactive and fun learning medium to support the development of children's prosocial attitudes.

Abstract

Low interest of elementary school students in science/science subjects, which results in a lack of active participation in learning and achievement of learning outcomes. The application of the project-based learning model, also known as Project-Based Learning (PjBL), is considered an alternative that can address this problem. Science learning becomes interesting and contextual for students. The purpose of this study is to see how the PjBL model helps increase students' interest in science/science subjects in elementary school. The Systematic Literature Review (SLR) approach was used in this study, and data collection techniques were used through Publish or Perish and Google Scholar. From a total of 200 articles found, a selection process was carried out based on inclusion and exclusion criteria, until 10 relevant articles were obtained for further analysis. The results of the study show that the consistent application of the PjBL model is able to increase students' learning interest through active involvement, contextual learning, and collaboration in completing projects. Factors that support the success of PjBL include the relevance of the project to student life, the appropriate use of learning media, community support, and systematic planning. The implications of this study suggest that primary school teachers need to consider the use of the PjBL model as the main learning strategy, especially in science/science subjects, to build a stronger and more sustainable interest in learning among students.

Abstract

Gaps in the implementation of the Independent Curriculum in elementary schools are still visible, especially in the uneven and optimal use of digital technology in various regions. This research aims to regularly examine the role of digital technology in supporting the implementation of the Independent Curriculum at the elementary school level. The research uses the Systematic Literature Review (SLR) approach by analyzing relevant articles through the Google Scholar, Garuda, DOAJ, and ResearchGate databases. From the initial search process of 200 articles, based on inclusion and exclusion criteria, 15 scientific articles published in 2020-2025 were screened that were suitable for analysis. The data was analyzed using thematic coding techniques. The results of the analysis show that digital technology plays an important role in improving the quality of learning that is more interactive, adaptive, and contextual in accordance with the Independent Curriculum. However, challenges such as limited infrastructure and teacher competence are significant obstacles.

Abstract

The advancement of digital technology has had a significant impact on various aspects of life, including the mental health of early childhood. This study aims to analyze the role of parents in maintaining the mental health of children aged 4–6 years amidst the development of digital technology. Using a qualitative approach with a case study method, this study involved 10 parents from AR-Rehan Kindergarten, Pekanbaru, as subjects, with data collection techniques through observation and interviews analyzed using the Miles and Huberman interactive model. The results of the study indicate that the use of technology without supervision can cause mental problems in children, such as anxiety, sleep disorders, and decreased social interaction. The strategies used by parents include active assistance when children use digital devices, setting screen time, selecting age-appropriate content, and strengthening children's social and physical activities. Although there are challenges in managing the use of technology, active parental involvement has been shown to reduce the risk of mental disorders in children. This study confirms that synergy between parents, schools, and the community is needed to create an ecosystem that supports optimal child growth and development in the digital era.

Abstract

Pemerolehan dan perkembangan bahasa merupakan proses mendasar dalam kehidupan manusia yang dimulai sejak bayi dan terus berkembang sepanjang hidup. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis tahapan pemerolehan bahasa, faktor-faktor yang memengaruhi, serta perspektif teoretis yang menjelaskan perkembangan bahasa. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan deskriptif kualitatif melalui studi literatur. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pemerolehan bahasa terjadi secara alami dan sistematis, dipengaruhi oleh faktor biologis, kognitif, dan lingkungan. Beberapa teori menjelaskan proses ini, termasuk teori behaviorisme, nativisme, kognitivisme, dan interaksionisme. Studi ini juga menyoroti pentingnya interaksi sosial dan stimulasi dalam mengoptimalkan perkembangan bahasa. Pemahaman terhadap pemerolehan bahasa sangat penting bagi pendidik, psikolog, dan terapis wicara untuk merancang strategi pembelajaran dan intervensi yang efektif bagi individu dengan keterlambatan bahasa.
