Abstract

This study aims to analyze the influence of financial literacy and impulsiveness on personal financial performance, with financial behavior acting as a mediating variable, among PayLater users in Surabaya. A quantitative approach was employed using a survey method involving 80 respondents. Data were analyzed using Partial Least Squares Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM). The findings reveal that financial literacy positively influences financial behavior, while impulsiveness has a significant negative effect. Financial behavior significantly mediates the relationship between impulsiveness and personal financial performance, but does not significantly mediate the relationship between financial literacy and personal financial performance. These results highlight the importance of controlling impulsive tendencies and fostering healthy financial behavior as a foundation for students' financial stability. The study suggests that financial education in universities should not only focus on conceptual understanding but also emphasize practical financial habits and self-regulation.

Abstract

This research explored the representation of the childfree lifestyle in the novel Ours by Adrindia Ryandisza through the lens of Jean-Paul Sartre's existentialism The novel narrates the story of a protagonist who consciously chooses not to have children and illustrates how this decision impacts her relationships with her partner, family, and social environment. This research focused on two main issues: (1) the portrayal of childfree decisions in relation to the concept of human freedom, and (2) the perspective of alienation. It employed a descriptive qualitative method, with data collected through close reading and note-taking, followed by stages of identification, classification, analysis, description, and conclusion drawing. The results revealed that the decision to be childfree reflects individual freedom, emphasizing awareness, responsibility, and control over one's own life However, this freedom also leads to feelings of alienation rooted in societal norms and stigmatization. This research concluded that Ours offers a clear representation of how the childfree choice is an existential act of freedom that demands full responsibility, while also highlighting the challenges faced by individuals whose life choices deviate from social conventions.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the legal framework governing copyright protection for creative economy actors and analyze the legal culture among these actors from the perspective of copyright enforcement in Indonesia. This study uses an empirical juridical method, applying a legal research approach that is in accordance with the philosophical nature of legal science. In practice, the Copyright Law remains unclear and insufficiently firm in regulating the protection of moral rights, potentially resulting in the omission of copyright recognition for works reproduced or used in public, as well as the absence of explicit recognition of copyright claims. Nevertheless, the law successfully addresses two main objectives in the development of the creative economy: providing legal protection and economic incentives. From a cultural perspective, creative economy actors find it relatively easy to register their works for legal protection. However, they also face a number of challenges, such as a lack of understanding of copyright principles, the rapid development of technology and digital media, rampant piracy, and the high cost of taking legal action to defend intellectual property rights.

Abstract

The K-Pop phenomenon has become a part of global popular culture, including in Indonesia, with a significant impact on the behavior and lifestyle of its fans. One form of attachment to idols that arises is celebrity worship, a parasocial relationship which, if excessive, can have negative psychological effects. This study aims to examine the influence of self-control on celebrity worship among K-Pop fans. The research used a quantitative method with a correlational approach. Participants consisted of 400 K-Pop fans aged 18 and above, selected using purposive sampling. The instruments used were a self-control scale based on De Ridder’s theory (2004) and the Celebrity Attitude Scale (CAS) by Maltby (2006). Data analysis was conducted using simple linear regression. The study aimed to determine the effect of celebrity worship on self-control. The analysis showed that celebrity worship has a positive and significant influence on self-control, with a coefficient of determination (R²) of 0.080. This means that 8% of the variation in self-control can be explained by celebrity worship, while the remaining 92% is influenced by other factors. These findings suggest that the higher the level of admiration for celebrities, the higher a person's self-control tends to be, although the contribution is relatively small

Abstract

This study aims to describe the stress levels of prisoners based on their sentence type, namely sentences of more than one year (BI), life imprisonment, and death penalty. This research employed a descriptive quantitative approach involving 337 male inmates from Correctional Institution X, consisting of 298 inmates with sentences of more than one year (BI), 33 with life imprisonment, and 6 with death sentences. The instrument used was the Perceived Stress Scale (PSS), which had been adapted into Indonesian, and the data were analyzed using descriptive statistics.The results showed that inmates serving life sentences had the highest average stress score (M = 22.06), followed by those sentenced to death (M = 21.80), and the lowest was found among inmates with fixed-term sentences (M = 20.65). Although the differences in mean scores were not substantial, the distribution of categories indicated that inmates with heavier sentences tended to fall into higher stress categories. Sentence duration appeared to be a situational factor influencing inmates’ stress levels, particularly among those serving long and indefinite sentences such as life imprisonment and death penalty. The study recommended the provision of more intensive psychological services to help inmates manage emotional distress during their incarceration.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the role of technology in supporting the learning process of Islamic Religious Education (IRE) at SMP Muhammadiyah 56 Binjai Timur. The research focuses on the definition of technology, its utilization in IRE teaching, the forms of technology used by IRE teachers, as well as the positive impacts and challenges encountered in the process. This study employs a descriptive qualitative approach with data collected through observation, interviews, and documentation. The findings indicate that technology plays a significant role in enhancing the effectiveness and engagement of IRE learning. IRE teachers utilize various technologies such as projectors, online learning applications, and audio-visual media to facilitate the teaching and learning process. Although technology offers benefits such as increased student motivation and interactivity, challenges include limited infrastructure, teachers' lack of technological proficiency, and technical disruptions during class. Therefore, continuous training and adequate support are needed to optimize the role of technology in religious education.

Abstract

This study analyzes the challenges and strategies for implementing ISO 31000: 2018 Risk Management standardization in PT. Telkom Indonesia. It is characterized by globalization that supports the advancement of information and Communication Technology in the field of telecommunications industry. PT. Telkom Indonesia as one of the major players in this industry, is required to be able to effectively manage risks in order to ensure the continuity of operations and services to customers. Standardized risk management is an important aspect that can help companies in identifying, analyzing, and addressing potential risks that can interfere with business performance. Using the literature review method, this study identifies inhibiting factors such as operational complexity, administrative burden, and dependence on IT infrastructure. The results showed that PT. We have adopted ISO 31000: 2018 through policy updates, risks faced, employee training, and ERM application development. This has a positive impact such as reducing GHG emissions, increasing customer satisfaction, and fulfilling corporate governance. However, issues such as security risks and costs must still be considered. The study provides recommendations and suggestions to reduce risks and strengthen system integration in order to achieve business sustainability.

Abstract

This study analyzes the challenges and strategies for implementing ISO 31000: The implementation of ISO 27001 in the financial sector has been proven to improve information security and user trust. A literature review of nine journals shows that this standard is effective in managing risks, complying with regulations, and implementing security controls such as encryption and multi-factor authentication. Some institutions have reported a reduction in security incidents of up to 40%. However, implementation challenges include limited human resources and a lack of user evaluation user perception. These findings underscore the role of ISO 27001 as a critical standard for building trust in the digital age.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the partial and simultaneous influence of social media marketing and online reviews on repurchase intention among Kopi Kenangan customers in Medan City. This research employs a quantitative approach, with data collected through questionnaires distributed using a purposive sampling technique to 106 respondents who met the specified criteria. The collected data were analyzed using multiple linear regression analysis with the aid of SPSS software. The results indicate that social media marketing has a significant positive partial effect on repurchase intention (tstatistic​ = 7.256 > ttable​ = 1.659). Similarly, online reviews also show a significant positive partial effect on repurchase intention (tstatistic​ = 4.560 > ttable​ = 1.659). Simultaneously, both independent variables have a significant effect on repurchase intention (Fstatistic​ = 26.408 > Ftable​ = 3.09). The coefficient of determination (R2) of 0.339 indicates that 33.9% of the variance in repurchase intention can be explained by social media marketing and online reviews, while the remainder is influenced by other factors. These findings confirm that digital engagement through social media and the management of online reputation are crucial strategies for fostering loyalty and repeat purchases in the modern coffee shop industry.

Abstract

Perkembangan pesat teknologi informasi dan komunikasi (TIK) menempatkan literasi digital sebagai kompetensi esensial, khususnya bagi anak-anak yang tumbuh di era digital. Mereka dihadapkan pada potensi positif teknologi sekaligus risiko seperti hoaks, perundungan siber, dan kecanduan gawai. Mengingat urgensi ini, program pengabdian masyarakat "Keluarga Digital Cerdas: Kolaborasi Orang Tua dan Sekolah dalam Literasi Digital Anak" dilaksanakan di SD di Bekasi. Program ini bertujuan meningkatkan pemahaman dan keterampilan literasi digital pada orang tua dan siswa SD secara sinergis, menciptakan ekosistem digital yang aman dan edukatif. Metode pelaksanaan meliputi lokakarya interaktif untuk orang tua dan sesi edukasi kreatif untuk siswa, dengan melibatkan partisipasi aktif dari kedua belah pihak. Hasil evaluasi menggunakan pre-test dan post-test menunjukkan peningkatan pemahaman literasi digital yang signifikan pada orang tua (25%) dan siswa (30%). Selain itu, program ini berhasil menumbuhkan komunikasi yang lebih terbuka antara keluarga dan sekolah terkait isu digital. Meskipun ada tantangan seperti ketersediaan waktu orang tua, program ini menunjukkan potensi besar dalam membentuk perilaku digital yang lebih bijak dan bertanggung jawab. Rekomendasi meliputi keberlanjutan program melalui integrasi kurikulum dan pengembangan platform kolaborasi.
