Abstract

Film merupakan medium komunikasi yang tidak hanya mengandalkan dialog verbal, tetapi juga bahasa tubuh sebagai sarana penyampaian pesan emosional. Penelitian ini berangkat dari fenomena penggunaan bahasa tubuh dalam film Lisan yang menampilkan dinamika psikologis tokoh melalui ekspresi non-verbal. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk menganalisis bagaimana penyutradaraan memanfaatkan bahasa tubuh, realisme, mise en scène, serta teknik kamera dalam memperkuat penyampaian emosi kepada penonton. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah kualitatif dengan pendekatan analisis deskriptif. Data diperoleh melalui studi kepustakaan, telaah film, serta analisis visual terhadap adegan-adegan kunci. Fokus penelitian diarahkan pada pengamatan representasi bahasa tubuh, keterkaitannya dengan elemen sinematik, serta efektivitas penyutradaraan dalam menghadirkan kedalaman emosi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa bahasa tubuh memainkan peran sentral dalam membangun karakterisasi tokoh dan alur dramatik film. Ekspresi wajah, postur tubuh, gerakan tangan, dan kontak mata terbukti lebih efektif dibandingkan dialog dalam menyampaikan konflik batin. Penerapan pendekatan realisme, pengaturan mise en scène, serta teknik kamera yang konsisten semakin memperkuat makna emosional yang tersampaikan kepada penonton. Kesimpulannya, penyutradaraan film Lisan dinilai efektif dalam menghadirkan realitas psikologis tokoh melalui ekspresi non-verbal. Integrasi bahasa tubuh dengan elemen sinematik lain menciptakan pengalaman menonton yang imersif, komunikatif, dan emosional.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of the Cooperative Integrated Reading and Composition (CIRC) learning model on student learning outcomes in Social Sciences (IPS) subjects in class VIII of Tamansiswa Private Junior High School Pematangsiantar in the 2025/2026 Academic Year. This type of research is a quantitative experiment with a Nonequivalent Control Group Design. The research sample consisted of two classes, namely the experimental class using the CIRC learning model and the control class using the lecture method. The data collection technique used learning outcome tests in the form of pretests and posttests. Data analysis was carried out through normality tests, homogeneity tests, and t-tests using the SPSS 26 application. The results showed that there was a significant increase in student learning outcomes after the implementation of the CIRC learning model. The average pretest score of the experimental class was 48.41, increasing to 72.76 in the posttest, while the control class increased from 44.55 to 68.00. Based on the results of the t-test, a significance value of 0.000 <0.05 was obtained, which means that Ha was accepted and H0 was rejected. Thus, it can be concluded that the application of the Cooperative Integrated Reading and Composition (CIRC) learning model has a significant effect on student learning outcomes in social studies subjects.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the influence of Parenting Patterns and Learning Motivation on Student Learning Achievement in Civics Subjects of Class XI SMA Negeri 5 Pematangsiantar in the 2025/2026 Academic Year. The population in this study were all 355 class XI students and the sample in this study was 35 class XI-2 students and 36 class XI-8 students. So the sample used was 71 class XI-2 students and XI-8 students. The instruments used were questionnaires and documentation. The quality of the research instruments for questionnaires and student learning achievement was assessed through documentation of student achievement results from the school. All data from the three variables above were first tested for normal distribution using a goodness-of-fit test or Chi-square test. The results of the simple linear regression analysis yielded the following values: R = 0.693, indicating a strong positive relationship between Parenting Style (X1) and student achievement (Y). This means that the higher the Parenting Style (X1), the better the student's academic achievement. R2 = 0.759, indicating that 75.9% of the variation in academic achievement can be explained by Learning Motivation (X2). The remaining 24.1% is influenced by other factors not included in the regression model.

Abstract

This research analysis idiomatic expressions found in the Movie “A Real Pain” (2024) directed by Jesse Eisenberg. The study aims to identify, classify, and describe the dominant types of idiomatic expressions used in the Movie. A qualitative descriptive method was employed, focusing on the transcription of dialogues as the main data source. The analysis applied McCarthy and O’Dell’s (2002) framework, which categorizes idioms into eight types: phrasal verb idioms, proverbs or fixed statements, binomial expressions, similes, euphemisms, trinomial expressions, clichés, and other language idioms. The findings reveal a total of 45 idiomatic expressions distributed across these categories. Among them, phrasal verb idioms are the most frequently used, representing 35.6% of the total data. These idioms often function to convey emotions, emphasize character traits, and enhance the natural flow of conversation. The study also found that idiomatic expressions in “A Real Pain” serve not only as linguistic embellishments but also as pragmatic tools for expressing cultural identity, emotional nuance, and interpersonal relationships within the narrative. In conclusion, idiomatic expressions play a vital role in enriching the Movie’s dialogue and demonstrating authentic use of contemporary American English.

Abstract

Cramps are a problem that athletes can experience, and this condition is commonly associated with various factors such as insufficient warm-up and stretching. Therefore, this research was conducted to examine the adequacy of magnesium from the perspective of the daily magnesium intake of athletes. The research sample consists of 14 athletes from the Pontianak City Handball Club, including 7 female and 7 male athletes. Data collection will be done using food recall questionnaires, activity recall questionnaires, and questionnaires about cramp occurrences in athletes. The data was analyzed using the Nutrisurvey application, and then the percentage of daily adequacy was calculated. The research results show that 92.86% of athletes have sufficient magnesium levels, while 7.14% are deficient. Regarding cramps experienced by athletes, 71.43% did not experience cramps, and 28.57% did. The research found that even athletes with sufficient daily magnesium levels still experienced cramps. In conclusion, even with sufficient daily magnesium intake, it cannot guaranty that the body will be free from injury and cramping issues.

Abstract

This Community Service Program aims to increase the level of community compliance in paying Land and Building Tax (PBB), increase public understanding of the obligations and benefits of PBB payments, and reduce PBB payment arrears in the community. This community service was carried out at the Pak Wawi Tempe Factory MSME on Monday, October 20, 2025. Respondents in this service were employees and the community around the Pak Wawi Tempe Factory MSME. The results of the service show that the Community Service Activity (PKM) which focuses on Community Empowerment in Increasing Compliance with Land and Building Tax (PBB) Payments has had a positive impact on increasing knowledge, awareness, and participation of citizens in fulfilling their tax obligations. Through socialization activities, administrative assistance, and tax literacy training, the community has become more aware of the functions and benefits of PBB for regional development.

Abstract

The purpose of this program is to foster legal literacy, build disciplined character, and strengthen the role of youth as agents of change within schools and communities. The activities are carried out through legal counseling, interactive training, case simulations, and the use of digital media as an educational tool. Through these activities, participants experience an increased understanding of basic law, citizens’ rights and obligations, and the ability to analyze legal issues in their surroundings. The program also encourages participants to confidently share legal information with their peers. The Scout-Based Legal Awareness Cadre Model has proven effective as it integrates character development, leadership, and national values with practical legal education, creating a generation of young people who are legally aware, critical, and responsible.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the relationship between the Educational Quality Management System (EQMS) and the improvement of students’ academic achievement in secondary schools. The research employed a quantitative approach with a correlational method. Data were collected through a closed-ended questionnaire administered to 120 respondents, consisting of teachers and students from four public schools. Data analysis was conducted using the Pearson Product Moment correlation test and simple linear regression to measure the strength of the relationship between variables. The results showed a positive and significant relationship between EQMS and students’ academic achievement, with a correlation coefficient of r = 0.731 and a coefficient of determination R² = 0.534. This indicates that approximately 53.4% of the variation in academic achievement can be explained by the implementation of EQMS, particularly in leadership, quality planning, and continuous evaluation aspects. The findings confirm that the better the implementation of quality management systems in schools, the higher the academic achievement attained by students. This study implies that strengthening quality management systems through effective leadership and a strong quality culture is essential for improving the overall quality of education in Indonesia.

Abstract

This article discusses the integration of Islamic values ​​in the character development of Generation Z. Currently, Generation Z is faced with various influences that have the potential to shape their character amidst globalization, technological advances, and unlimited access to information. Generation Z was born between 1997 and 2012. Islamic values ​​play a crucial role in shaping Generation Z's character, helping them overcome challenges in the digital era, such as cyberbullying and the spread of hoaxes. This study aims to examine how Islamic values ​​can be effectively integrated into the character development process of Generation Z. With these values, Generation Z can avoid negative influences resulting from technological developments. This study uses a qualitative approach using a literature study method. This study identified various relevant literature sources, including books, journal articles, and official documents, to collect data. The research findings show that Islamic values ​​provide strong moral guidance in facing ethical challenges in the digital and pluralistic era. This helps shape a strong and stable character in Generation Z.

Abstract

Efforts to improve the quality of education require continuous improvement in the quality of learning in schools. Classroom Action Research (CAR) is an effective strategy for addressing various learning issues, such as low student participation, lack of teacher innovation, and weak teaching method effectiveness. This research used a qualitative descriptive approach with a literature review method. The results of the study indicate that CAR has a significant contribution to improving learning practices through a continuous cycle of action and reflection. The implementation of CAR has been proven to increase student participation, strengthen teacher professionalism, and have a significant impact on learning outcomes. In addition, CAR makes teachers more reflective and innovative in managing learning.
