Abstract

This qualitative case study aims to explore the impact of witnessing Domestic Violence (DV) and parental divorce on adolescent mental health, focusing on the case of F (30 years old), who was treated at the "Welas Asih Indonesia Waras Ministry" Rehabilitation Center for Mentally Ill Persons (ODGJ) in Serang, Banten due to extreme possessive behavior towards her mother. This behavior is assumed to be deeply rooted in psychological trauma resulting from witnessing physical and psychological violence perpetrated by her father towards her mother since childhood. Using qualitative methods (in-depth interviews and observations), the results of the study indicate that the trauma of DV manifests as extreme possessive behavior in adolescence, characterized by constant clinging, monopolizing the mother's attention, and tantrums when attention is divided, which is consistent with characteristics of anxious-ambivalent attachment. The holistic intervention at the center, including individual counseling, daily activity therapy, and family counseling, has shown significant positive developments; Febra is now calmer, has fewer tantrums, and has improved emotional control, although she still faces challenges such as sometimes having incoherent speech and hallucinations.

Abstract

Writing Skills (Maharah Kitabah) are one of the essential skills taught in Arabic language learning. The purpose of this learning is to enable students to express their ideas, thoughts, and feelings in written Arabic effectively. Writing skill exercises must always be guided toward learning objectives that align with the established indicators. The teaching of Maharah Kitabah also employs specific learning methods to ensure that the learning process runs optimally, one of which is the Project-Based Learning method. This method aims to encourage students to be active and creative during the learning process. However, every learning activity inevitably encounters certain challenges. Therefore, this study applies a qualitative approach, with data obtained based on real conditions in the field. Data collection techniques in this research include observation and interviews. The study was conducted in Grade 5.

Abstract

This study examines gender role division within families of digital tourism actors in Bira and the factors influencing it. Bira, a leading tourist village in Bulukumba Regency, is undergoing a transformation into a digital village with technology applied in marketing, reservations, and payment systems. The study employed a descriptive qualitative approach using purposive sampling of eight informants directly involved in family-based digital tourism businesses. Data were collected through in-depth interviews, participatory observation, and document review, and analyzed using Miles & Huberman’s interactive model. Data validity was ensured through source and technique triangulation.The findings show that gender roles in these families are dynamic, flexible, and adaptive. Women perform dual roles, managing domestic responsibilities while actively participating in digital tourism business operations and strategic family decision-making. Men act as supporters when circumstances allow, creating a complementary and collaborative gender relationship. Factors influencing role division include mutual agreement, family economic conditions, minimal cultural constraints, and the use of digital technology. These findings highlight that tourism digitalization facilitates the transformation of gender roles and fosters inclusive and adaptive gender relations within digital tourism families.

Abstract

This study aims to assess the feasibility of the lighting and electrical system in Building A of SMA Islam Sultan Agung 1 Semarang. Electrical installations play an important role in supporting learning activities, especially since the building has been used for a long time. Therefore, an evaluation is needed to ensure compliance with PUIL 2011 and SNI 03-6197-2000 lighting standards. The method used is a case study with a qualitative approach, using primary data (voltage and current measurements with a clamp meter, and light intensity with a lux meter) and secondary data. The measurement results are compared with the standards to assess the suitability of the distribution system, cable size, and classroom illumination levels. The results show that the electrical system generally complies with PUIL 2011, but there are still shortcomings such as the use of phase cable colors and cable arrangement. In terms of lighting, some classrooms have an intensity below 250 lux, so it is necessary to add or rearrange lights. Regular repairs and maintenance are needed to keep the system safe, efficient, and comfortable to use.

Abstract

This study is entitled "The Role of Caregivers in Shaping the Character of Adolescents at Mahabbatul Ummi Orphanage, Palembang". The study aims to understand the role of caregivers in shaping adolescents’ character and to examine the development of adolescents’ character after receiving guidance at Mahabbatul Ummi Orphanage. This research uses a descriptive qualitative method with a field research approach. Data collection techniques include observation, interviews with caregivers and adolescents, and documentation. Data analysis is carried out through data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. The results show that caregivers act as educators, mentors, role models, motivators, trainers, and advisors. Character-building methods are implemented through a family-oriented approach, religious activities, reward and consequence systems, skill guidance, social activities, and assignment of responsibilities. The main challenges faced are the psychological conditions of adolescents who have experienced trauma and display a lack of discipline. The findings indicate significant character development, including increased discipline, responsibility, empathy, honesty, and emotional regulation. In conclusion, caregivers play a key role in the successful development of adolescents’ character at the orphanage through a structured and humanistic approach.

Abstract

A Community Service (PkM) activity entitled Utilization of ChatGPT-Based AI to Improve Student Learning Effectiveness was held at SMP Negeri 27 Batam. This activity focused on training students to use ChatGPT-based Artificial Intelligence technology productively. The main objective was to equip students with the digital and ethical competencies needed to utilize this intelligent tool to support their independent learning process. In the implementation of this PkM there were several stages: first, field observations conducted by the PkM committee. Second, the implementation of activities where in-depth socialization regarding the functions and limitations of AI, followed by a hands-on practice session using ChatGPT for its application in subjects. Third, Evaluation of activities where each participant will fill out a satisfaction questionnaire and also on reflection during the training. The results of this Community Service activity were participants' ability to think critically, increased interest in independent learning and mastery of digital developments. Therefore, through this training, it becomes the initial foundation and the right step in integrating artificial intelligence responsibly and ethically in the learning process to prepare students to face the challenges of the digital era.

Abstract

Sebagai implementasi dari Program Pendanaan Mahasiswa Wirausaha (P2MW), Mahasiswa Fakultas Ekonomi dan Bisnis mendirikan usaha (startup) yang diberi nama J.A Seafood yang bergerak dalam bidang kuliner makanan laut (mollusca). Kekuatan pemasaran J.A Seafood terletak pada penggunaan bahan baku lokal yang segar dan berkualitas tinggi. Namun, J.A Seafood juga memiliki beberapa kelemahan dalam pemasaran (komunikasi merek) dan proses produksi. Saat ini mitra masih dalam tahap pengenalan produk, dan daya jangkauan pasarnya masih belum luas. Hal ini menyulitkan usaha mitra untuk membangun brand awareness yang kuat dalam waktu singkat. Urgensi pengabdian masyarakat ini adalah perlu upaya mendukung Visi dan Misi Universitas Jambi menjadi “A World Class Entrepreneurship University” dengan sinergi tim peneliti sehingga menjadikan hasil riset yang akan diterapkan dalam bentuk kegiatan PPM kepada startup mahasiswa Universitas Jambi. Urgensi lebih lanjut, kegiatan ini akan membantu mitra untuk mengembangkan usahanya lebih efektif dan efisien pada dua aspek yaitu pemasaran (komunikasi merek) dan proses produksi. Tujuan kegiatan ini adalah untuk memberikan pendampingan strategi komunikasi merek dan produksi bagi usaha startup mahasiswa agar bisa meningkatkan pemasarannya. . Hasil kegiatan menunjukkan adanya peningkatan pemahaman mitra terhadap pentingnya strategi komunikasi merek serta kemampuan dalam memproduksi produk dengan kualitas yang lebih terstandar. Dengan demikian, kegiatan PPM ini tidak hanya memberikan dampak nyata terhadap peningkatan daya saing usaha J.A Seafood Jambi, tetapi juga menjadi sarana pembelajaran aplikatif bagi mahasiswa dalam mengimplementasikan ilmu kewirausahaan dan komunikasi pemasaran di dunia nyata.

Abstract

This study aims to formulate and evaluate three herbal hair tonic formulas based on aloe vera combined with rosemary, mint, lemongrass, green tea, guava leaf, lemon, and apple cider vinegar extracts. The three formulas (F1, F2, F3) were prepared using commercially available herbal extracts and evaluated for four weeks through observations of color, clarity, aroma, pH, and sediment formation. A sensory test was also conducted with 20 respondents to assess fragrance, comfort, cooling sensation, and overall user preference. The results showed that Formula F3 demonstrated the best stability and received the highest sensory scores due to its balanced aroma, stable pH, and overall comfort. Formula F2 performed well in delivering a strong cooling and refreshing sensation, while Formula F1 showed weaker visual stability. The study concludes that combining herbal extracts can produce a stable and consumer-preferred natural hair tonic, with Formula F3 recommended for further product development.

Abstract

The digital transformation at the village and hamlet levels has become a strategic necessity for strengthening governance, increasing transparency, and expanding access to public information. This community service program aims to enhance the capacity of the Watubelah Hamlet apparatus in managing the official website (watubelah.com) through the dissemination of an operational website guide module, technical training, and intensive assistance for the hamlet administrators. The methods used include socialization, direct demonstrations, hands-on practice of key website features, and simulations of public information management. The results of the program indicate strong enthusiasm and improved abilities among the hamlet apparatus in operating the admin dashboard, updating news, managing the organizational structure, updating hamlet information, showcasing local potential, and interacting with the community through incoming messages. The existence of the hamlet website has proven to be an effective medium for strengthening community communication and supporting local government transparency. This program contributes to enhancing digital literacy among village communities and ensures the sustainability of independent website management by the hamlet apparatus.

Abstract

At the Indonesian Embassy's Non-Formal Learning Center (PKBM PNF) in Kuala Lumpur, writing and reading strategies are commonly used as classroom learning methods, but some students complained that they felt uncomfortable with this learning model. The use of singing and storytelling strategies was chosen because they were considered to have the potential to increase students' interest in learning, strengthen memorization, and deepen their appreciation of religious attitudes. This mentoring used the service learning method and was designed specifically for students at the Indonesian Embassy's Non-Formal Learning Center (PKBM PNF) in Kuala Lumpur. Data were collected through interviews, observations, and memorization and comprehension tests before and after the intervention. The mentoring results showed that students' memorization and comprehension abilities increased significantly after the singing and storytelling learning strategies. In addition, this method successfully accelerated material mastery and created a more enjoyable and interactive learning environment. This study suggests the use of singing and storytelling as creative and enjoyable learning methods, especially for students who have difficulty memorizing and understanding the Quran.
