Abstract

This study aims to analyze the influence of social and cultural factors on K-Pop merchandise purchasing decisions by Generation Z in Indonesia. Using a quantitative descriptive associative method with 55 Gen Z respondents interested in K-Pop, data were collected through an online questionnaire. The results showed that both social and cultural factors have a significant influence on K-Pop merchandise purchasing decisions. Social factors proved to be the main external driver with an average percentage of 73.38%, driven by peer influence, social media influence (especially unboxing content), and reviews from fellow fans. Meanwhile, cultural factors exert a strong internal influence with an average of 62%, mainly because merchandise is considered a symbol of identity, a source of pride (especially for limited/official editions), and a way to feel close to favorite idols. K-Pop merchandise purchasing decisions among Gen Z are the result of a dynamic interaction between the external drives of social groups (validation and interaction) and the internal motivations of fandom culture (identity, emotional meaning, and loyalty).

Abstract

Maintaining the arrangement and momentum of learning involves extensively using innovative methods that can serve as a foundation guiding educational sovereignty; it will never disappear, like oxygen floating in the air. Where improvements and development of the curriculum will adapt from era to era. It is not only through particles in confusing domains, but it focuses on educators and teachers being able to solve problems that provide solutions when consonance occurs in responding to the challenges of the era, which have become challenges for educators up to now. When collaboration is established between the performance of educators and teachers, it will facilitate the reconstruction of methods that the curriculum will determine, whether from the central or branch levels.

Abstract

This study analyzes the application of translation techniques in Joko Pinurbo’s poem Tubuh Pinjaman, translated by Harry Aveling as Borrowed Body. Using a descriptive qualitative method and the translation techniques proposed by Molina and Albir (2002), the study identifies several dominant strategies, including literal translation, modulation, borrowing, amplification, generalization, and transposition. These techniques help maintain the poetic meaning, emotional nuances, and symbolic representations within the poem. Through the appropriate application of translation strategies, the translator successfully conveys the philosophical and spiritual messages of the source text to English readers.

Abstract

Abstract

This community service program aimed to strengthen the digital literacy of daily workers who support the operational activities of the Integrated Agriculture Teaching Factory at Politeknik Negeri Jember through staged training and on-the-job mentoring integrated with the implementation of a fingerprint attendance system and digital work reporting. A quasi-experimental one group pretest–posttest design was applied to 25 daily workers employed in four TEFA lines, namely Smart Green House, Livestock, Innovation Garden, and Chrysanthemum units. Data were collected using a digital literacy test, perception questionnaires, observation sheets, and document reviews of attendance records and work reports before and after the intervention, then analyzed descriptively and complemented with a simple difference test. The results showed an increase in attendance compliance from 78.0% to 96.2%, a decrease in average tardiness from 14.0 to 9.1 minutes per shift, and a reduction in administrative recap SLA from 6.0 to 2.5 hours. Digital literacy scores increased from 55 to 77, accompanied by higher perception scores regarding task clarity, working hours transparency, incentive recording accuracy, and system ease of use.

Abstract

The increase in organic waste generation in Indonesia is driving the need for more sustainable waste management innovations, including through the bioconversion of maggots as an alternative protein source. However, at a business scale like Ratna's Black Soldier Fly (BSF), the maggot drying process remains a major obstacle because conventional methods produce inconsistent quality, require long drying times, and are energy-intensive. A community service project titled ECO-WAVE MAG was introduced to address this issue by implementing a microwave dryer as an appropriate technology. Activities included field surveys, designing and modifying the drying system, technical testing on fresh maggots with a moisture content of around 70 percent, and providing training and operational assistance to partners. Test results showed that the microwave dryer was able to reduce drying time by up to 70 percent, produce a stable final moisture content of 8–10 percent, and maintain the homogeneity and nutritional quality of the dried maggots. This technology also proved to be more energy efficient and able to increase production capacity and product shelf life.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effectiveness of an inclusive education workshop for educators and parents in improving participants' understanding, attitudes, and skills regarding the application of inclusive education principles. The workshop was implemented through several stages, including planning, implementation, and evaluation. The results of this activity showed a significant increase in participants' level of understanding, with a 30–35% increase in post-test scores compared to the pre-test. Participants no longer interpreted inclusive education as merely accepting students with special needs, but understood the importance of curriculum adaptation, learning differentiation, and fair assessment for all children. The workshop also succeeded in changing participants' attitudes to be more positive and empathetic towards diversity, and strengthened awareness of the importance of collaboration between teachers and parents. In terms of skills, participants demonstrated improved abilities in pedagogical, communication, and socio-emotional aspects through simulation and role-play activities. Overall, this workshop proved effective in building participants' capacity and commitment to creating an inclusive, welcoming, and equitable learning environment for all students.
