Jurnal Pengabdian Masyarakat dan Riset Pendidikan is a journal on Faculty of Education. Abstract

This study examines the implementation of regulations governing Intellectual Property Rights (IPR) as fiduciary security under the Prabowo–Gibran administration by employing the principle of legal certainty as the primary analytical framework. The research is motivated by the gap between the normative framework (das Sollen), which legally recognizes IPR as a fiduciary object, and the empirical reality (das Sein) in which implementation remains constrained by the absence of technical guidelines, the lack of certified IPR appraisers, and the reluctance of financial institutions to accept intangible assets as collateral. Using a normative juridical method with statutory and conceptual approaches, this study analyzes the Fiduciary Law, sectoral IPR legislation, Government Regulation No. 24/2022, and academic literature. The findings indicate that the application of IPR as fiduciary collateral remains transitional and ineffective due to the unfulfilled elements of legal certainty, including clarity of norms, predictable procedures, and executable enforcement mechanisms. This research concludes that technical regulations, independent IPR appraisal bodies, administrative system integration, and institutional harmonization are essential to ensure that IPR can effectively serve as a viable financing instrument in Indonesia.

Abstract

Waste management problems in Islamic boarding schools have been identified as factors that may reduce residential comfort, environmental health, and students’ psychological well-being. This community service program aimed to optimize waste management through the Optimalized Waste Management (OPS) approach, comprising education, source separation, composting, and participatory monitoring. Activities were conducted at Pesantren Al Furqon Ponorogo over 12 weeks and involved 93 students and dormitory managers. Interventions included visual media–based counseling; training on separating organic, inorganic, and residual waste; hands-on simple composting; provision of facilities (segregated bins and composters); and mentoring to establish “green habits.” Evaluation was performed using pre–post knowledge tests, observations of segregation compliance, weighing of waste volumes, and assessments of psychological well-being using the WHO-5 and the short version of WEMWBS. Results showed a 82,7 average increase in knowledge; segregation compliance reached 90%; residual waste volume decreased by 80%; and psychological well-being scores increased by 76 points.

Abstract

This community service program was conducted in Batuaji Village, Kerambitan District, Tabanan Regency, Bali, with the aim of enhancing the managerial capacity and digital marketing capabilities of the village-owned enterprise (BUMDesa) Madyamika Karya. Based on preliminary observations, the BUMDesa faced several challenges, including the absence of Standard Operating Procedures (SOP), limited technological literacy among staff, and the lack of digital promotional media. The method used in this program was a combination of training and mentoring, carried out in three main stages: preparation, implementation, and evaluation. The training focused on two key areas: the importance of SOPs in business management and digital marketing strategies using social media, particularly Instagram. The results showed a significant improvement in participants' knowledge and skills, the establishment of the BUMDesa's official Instagram account, and the development of SOPs for livestock credit distribution. However, some challenges remained, such as limited training time and varying levels of digital literacy among participants. To address this, the service team provided follow-up consultation sessions to ensure sustainable implementation of the strategies introduced.

Abstract

This community service program (PKM) aims to strengthen the managerial competence of madrasah leaders and teachers through the theme “Madrasah Management Development Based on Akhlakul Karimah.” The program was conducted on November 21, 2025, at MAN 3 Kota Jambi, involving 40 participants consisting of the principal, vice principals, and teachers. Using a participatory training approach, the activity integrated interactive lectures, discussions, and problem-solving sessions facilitated by Dr. Rafik Darmansyah, M.Pd.I. The purpose of this PKM was to enhance the participants’ understanding of value-based management and its application in building a religious, ethical, and effective educational environment. The results show that participants demonstrated high enthusiasm and actively engaged in discussions, reflecting a strong need for value-oriented managerial development. They gained new insights regarding leadership ethics, communication improvement, discipline strengthening, and moral-based decision-making. The training also highlighted current challenges faced by the madrasah, such as limited internal coordination and the need for systematic character-building programs. Participants reported that the practical examples provided helped them visualize the integration of akhlakul karimah into daily managerial practices. The activity concluded with recommendations for follow-up trainings focusing on program planning, academic supervision, and value-based leadership. Overall, this PKM contributed significantly to enhancing the managerial capacity and moral awareness of educators at MAN 3 Kota Jambi, supporting the development of a harmonious and quality-oriented madrasah environment.

Abstract

Artificial intelligence (AI) is a prime example of the rapid development of modern technology. Education is one of the many fields impacted by AI. Student learning motivation, which is a crucial component in the learning process and is influenced by a number of factors, is crucial for the effectiveness of teaching and learning activities. This study aims to investigate the relationship between student learning motivation and the use of AI. The research methodology involved examining the literature using the Google Scholar database. The following inclusion criteria were used to screen the articles: 1) Selecting search terms such as "learning motivation," "artificial intelligence," and "students"; 2) Selecting literature based on source quality, year of publication, and topic relevance; 3) Reading each article and noting its main conclusions. The results of the study indicate that AI-based teaching and learning activities can produce inventive and engaging learning experiences, which in turn increase students' desire to learn.

Abstract

This community service initiative was implemented to enhance public understanding and awareness of the importance of safe, healthy, and habitable housing. A house is a fundamental human need that functions not only as a place of shelter but also as a space that shapes family character, health, and overall well-being. Observations conducted in Langkai Subdistrict, Pahandut District, Palangka Raya City, revealed that several residential units still do not meet the criteria for healthy housing, including inadequate ventilation, limited natural lighting, substandard sanitation, and the use of building materials that may pose health risks. Through outreach activities grounded in the Transformative Learning Theory, residents were actively engaged in the learning process via educational sessions, group discussions, field simulations, and direct mentoring. The results indicate a 30% increase in community knowledge regarding the concept of safe and healthy housing. Additionally, positive behavioural changes were observed, such as improved environmental cleanliness, enhanced ventilation, and better household waste management. The community also established a self-help group focused on sustainably maintaining environmental hygiene and safety. Overall, this initiative proved effective in raising public awareness and fostering community self-reliance in creating healthier and safer residential environments.

Abstract

This study aims to examine strategies for optimizing long jump performance through the integration of technical training, physical conditioning, and movement consistency using a literature review approach. The analysis includes Sinta-indexed national journals and relevant scientific books published within the last five years. The findings indicate that each phase of the long jump—approach run, final stride, take-off, flight, and landing—requires proper technical execution supported by physical components such as strength, speed, power, and flexibility. Moreover, consistent movement patterns play a crucial role in maintaining stable performance, particularly in the precision of approach steps and the effectiveness of take-off. Literature synthesis highlights that these three aspects cannot be developed separately but must be trained simultaneously through a holistic training approach. The integration of technical mastery, physical conditioning, and movement consistency has been shown to improve training effectiveness and optimize jump performance. This study provides valuable insights for coaches, athletes, and scholars as a foundation for designing more comprehensive and sustainable training programs to enhance long jump achievement.

Abstract

Diabetes is a non-communicable disease that has become a global health issue, including in the Republic of Indonesia. According to Riskesdas data, 70% of people with diabetes mellitus are unaware that they have the disease. One of the causes of diabetes mellitus is an instant lifestyle. Diabetes mellitus has a significant impact on health and can cause complications in the long term. Women have a higher risk of developing type 2 diabetes mellitus than men. In women of childbearing age, diabetes mellitus can affect reproductive health and pregnancy quality, which in turn can affect the next generation. The objective of this community service programme is to increase knowledge about preventing diabetes mellitus in women of childbearing age (15-49 years) in the Pakutandang Community Health Centre working area in Bandung Regency. Method: This community service activity was carried out through lectures, in coordination with the community health centre, then women of childbearing age were gathered in a multipurpose building located near the village of Pakutandang. Results: The results showed that education can increase knowledge about diabetes mellitus among women of childbearing age (15-49 years) in the working area of the Pakutandang Community Health Centre in Bandung Regency, with pre-test results of 57.2 and post-test results of 79.6. Conclusion: By providing knowledge about diabetes mellitus to women of childbearing age (15-49 years) in the working area of the Pakutandang Community Health Centre in Bandung Regency, the knowledge of women of childbearing age (15-49 years) in the working area of the Pakutandang Community Health Centre in Bandung Regency increased. Abstract

The development of digital technology has given rise to new forms of empathy that emerge through online interactions, including digital empathy and moral elevation. In an educational context, these two concepts have significant potential in shaping students' attitudes, values, and prosocial behavior. This article aims to examine how digital empathy and moral elevation can be integrated into educational environments to support students' character development, through a literature review of relevant research. The synthesis of these two concepts suggests that students' exposure to empathetic narratives, inspiring moral actions, and digitally shared emotional experiences can trigger positive emotional resonance, increase social sensitivity, and strengthen the tendency for prosocial behavior. Furthermore, targeted and educational digital interactions can be a means to foster emotional validation, moral reflection, and the formation of supportive learning communities. These findings confirm that digital empathy and moral elevation are not only psychological phenomena developing in the digital space but can also be relevant pedagogical strategies to strengthen character education. The implications of this study provide a basis for educators to design digital media-based interventions that can foster empathy, moral integrity, and prosocial behavior in students.

Abstract

The rapid growth of the digital economy has significantly transformed the creation, distribution, and use of intellectual works, creating substantial challenges for the protection and enforcement of Intellectual Property Rights (IPR) in Indonesia. This study examines two major issues: (1) the legal protection framework for copyright and trademarks within the digital economic landscape, and (2) the effectiveness of enforcement mechanisms against digital IPR infringements, along with key implementation obstacles. Copyright and trademark protections are governed by Indonesia’s Copyright Law and Trademark Law, strengthened by international standards such as TRIPs and the WIPO Internet Treaties. Enforcement mechanisms include criminal, civil, and administrative actions, as well as government-led digital access termination. However, their effectiveness remains limited due to technological complexities, low IPR literacy, slow platform responses, insufficient digital forensic capabilities, and cross-border jurisdictional barriers. This study highlights that robust IPR protection in the digital era requires regulatory harmonization, improved enforcement capacity, and strong collaboration among the government, rights holders, and digital platforms.
