Jurnal Pengabdian Masyarakat dan Riset Pendidikan is a journal on Faculty of Education. Abstract

A waste audit on the Tanjung Village coastline was conducted to identify the types, quantities, and primary sources of waste polluting the coastal area. This activity is crucial because the growth of community activities, tourism, and trade around the coast directly impacts the quality of the environment and coastal ecosystems. This Community Service activity applied direct data collection techniques by mapping locations, measuring the volume and weight of waste, and classifying it according to categories such as single-use plastic, organic, paper, glass, and metal. The audit results revealed that plastic waste dominated with the highest percentage, particularly food packaging, beverage bottles, and plastic bags originating from the activities of visitors and households in the area. This situation demonstrates the importance of better community-based waste management, environmental education, and strengthening the function of the village government in monitoring and handling waste. This audit is expected to form the basis for planning pollution mitigation programs, strengthening cleanliness policies, and plastic waste reduction campaigns to create a clean, healthy, and sustainable Tanjung Village coastline

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui hubungan antara citra tubuh dengan kepercayaan diri pada mahasiswa Program Studi Kedokteran Universitas Nusa Cendana angkatan 2024. Penelitian menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan desain korelasional. Partisipan berjumlah 119 mahasiswa yang dipilih menggunakan teknik total sampling. Data citra tubuh dikumpulkan menggunakan Skala Citra Tubuh (35 aitem; α = 0,938), sedangkan kepercayaan diri diukur menggunakan Skala Kepercayaan Diri (21 aitem; α = 0,854). Uji normalitas menunjukkan bahwa kedua variabel berdistribusi normal, namun uji linearitas mengindikasikan adanya pelanggaran asumsi linearitas sehingga analisis dilanjutkan menggunakan uji korelasi Spearman’s rho. Hasil analisis menunjukkan adanya hubungan positif dan signifikan antara citra tubuh dan kepercayaan diri (rₛ = 0,48; p < 0,01), yang berarti semakin positif citra tubuh mahasiswa maka semakin tinggi tingkat kepercayaan dirinya. Deskripsi data menunjukkan bahwa sebagian besar mahasiswa memiliki citra tubuh pada kategori sedang hingga tinggi, serta kepercayaan diri pada kategori tinggi hingga sangat tinggi. Dengan demikian, penelitian ini menegaskan pentingnya penguatan citra tubuh positif dalam mendukung perkembangan kepercayaan diri mahasiswa kedokteran, terutama dalam menghadapi tuntutan akademik dan sosial selama masa studi.

Abstract

The development of information technology has contributed to the increasing incidence of online gambling as a form of cybercrime that adversely affects social order and public morality. This study aims to analyze the application of Article 45 of the Law on Information and Electronic Transactions (ITE Law), particularly the regulatory shift from Article 45 paragraph (2) of Law Number 19 of 2016 to Article 45 paragraph (3) of Law Number 1 of 2024, in the enforcement of online gambling offenses, as well as to examine judicial reasoning from the perspective of justice. This research employs a normative legal research method using statutory, case, and conceptual approaches. The analysis focuses on three court decisions, namely Decision Number 16/Pid.Sus/2024/PN Jakarta Selatan, Decision Number 123/Pid.Sus/2023/PN Payahkumbuh, and Decision Number 575/Pid.B/2025/PN Kisaran. The findings indicate that Article 45 of the ITE Law functions as a lex specialis in addressing online gambling conducted through electronic media and provides a clear legal basis for law enforcement. However, differences in judicial considerations and variations in sentencing were identified among cases with relatively similar offense elements, giving rise to issues of substantive justice, particularly concerning sentencing proportionality and differentiation of offenders’ roles.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze students’ misconceptions on the topic of temperature and heat using the Certainty of Response Index (CRI) model as a diagnostic tool. The research employed a quantitative descriptive approach involving a multiple-choice test accompanied by CRI scales to identify not only incorrect answers but also the confidence level behind each response. Data analysis included calculating the proportion of correct and incorrect answers, average CRI scores, and categorizing students into groups of scientific conceptions, misconceptions, or lack of knowledge. The results showed that several students selected incorrect answers with high CRI values, indicating strong misconceptions that must be addressed through targeted instructional strategies. Meanwhile, students with incorrect answers but low CRI scores were categorized as having a lack of knowledge rather than misconceptions. The findings highlight that misconceptions occurred most frequently in indicators related to heat transfer, the relationship between temperature and molecular motion, and factors affecting changes in temperature. The study concludes that CRI is an effective diagnostic method for distinguishing levels of student understanding and is useful for informing remedial instruction. These findings provide meaningful insight for ededucators in designing better learning interventions to reduce misconceptions.

Abstract

This study aimed to develop local culture-based teaching materials for Natural and Social Science (IPAS) on the topic of States of Matter and Their Changes that were feasible for use in Merdeka Curriculum learning in Grade IV at SD Negeri 10 Sungai Kakap. This research employed a Research and Development (R&D) approach using the ADDIE model, which consisted of five stages: analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation; however, the study was limited to the development stage. The research subjects consisted of three expert validators and 30 fourth-grade students at SD Negeri 10 Sungai Kakap. Data were collected through interviews and questionnaires. The validation results indicated that the developed teaching materials demonstrated a very high level of validity, with validation scores of 89.58% for the design aspect, 92.50% for the language aspect, and 88.46% for the content aspect, all of which fell into the very valid category. The practicality test results showed a score of 85.17% in the small-group trial and 88.06% in the large-group trial, both of which were categorized as very practical. Therefore, the local culture-based teaching materials were considered feasible and practical for use in IPAS learning for Grade IV elementary school students.

Abstract

This study examines input and output analysis as a form of matrix application that functions as a mathematical model to understand the interrelationships between activities in an economy. Learning and mastery of mathematics are crucial because many problems require the ability to formulate concepts mathematically through modeling. This study uses the Matrix Inverse Method and the Gauss-Jordan Elimination Method. The calculation process is performed using MATLAB (Matrix Laboratory) software, which facilitates efficient handling of mathematical operations.

Abstract

Hadith learning at the junior secondary level faces challenges related to students’ diverse abilities and learning motivation, making appropriate teaching strategies essential. This study aims to describe teachers’ strategies in hadith learning for ninth-grade students at MTs Nahdlatul Muslimat Surakarta, as well as to identify the constraints encountered and the efforts made to overcome them. The research employed a descriptive qualitative approach. Data were collected through interviews with one Al-Qur’an Hadith teacher, the school principal, and five ninth-grade students, supported by documentation. Data analysis was conducted through data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing, with source triangulation to ensure data validity. The findings indicate that teachers implement varied strategies, including step-by-step explanations, question-and-answer sessions, discussions, presentations, and the use of audiovisual media. Additional strategies such as quizzes and games are applied to maintain students’ motivation and engagement. The main constraints include students’ difficulties in memorizing hadith texts and narrators, limited instructional time, varying learning motivation, and limited learning facilities. To address these challenges, teachers apply repetition, group work, individual guidance, appropriate media selection, and motivational reinforcement. These strategies contribute to improving students’ understanding and participation in hadith learning.

Abstract

The increasingly dynamic development of students due to social change and technological advancement requires school guidance and counseling services to adapt through the use of relevant and innovative media. This study aims to present a systematic literature review on the use of guidance and counseling media in supporting four domains of student development: personal, social, learning, and career. A systematic literature review method was employed following the PRISMA. Data analysis was conducted using descriptive quantitative analysis and narrative synthesis. The findings reveal a significant shift from traditional print media toward interactive digital and web-based media in school guidance and counseling services. Digital and web-based media are predominantly used to support career and learning development, while audiovisual media and social media are more commonly applied to enhance personal and social development. However, existing studies remain fragmented and often focus on a single type of media or a specific developmental domain. This review highlights the need for integrative approaches and more rigorous research designs to strengthen evidence-based media utilization in school guidance and counseling practices.

Abstract

Education is an important component for the progress and success of a nation. In Madrasah Aliyah, there are subjects about Islamic law contained in Fiqh. Unintentionally, studying Fiqh in the Madrasah Aliyah curriculum is also similar to learning about Muhkam and Amm Khas. In this article, the researcher will explain a brief understanding of Muhkam and Amm Khas, examples of Fiqh materials that are considered Muhkam and Amm Khas, as well as their pedagogical implications for institutions, teachers, and students. Using a qualitative research method of the Library Research type, the findings include Fiqh teaching materials that are part of Muhkam and Amm Khas. With the elaboration of Muhkam and Amm Khas in the teaching materials, it is expected that teachers also read other literature so that when delivering the material, they are not limited to a single viewpoint. This effort becomes a commitment for Fiqh teachers to continuously think about various perspectives, so that students will adopt the teacher's way of thinking in their daily lives, enabling them to examine the basis of other people's acts of worship and not easily criticize the legal foundations of others.

Abstract

The reliance of elementary school teachers on conventional learning media and the limited use of interactive learning media in Science or Integrated Science (IPAS) learning form the background of this study. This research aimed to develop a Canva-based interactive visual learning media that is feasible and practical for IPAS learning and to describe its implementation in the classroom. The study employed a Research and Development (R&D) method using the ADDIE model, which consists of the Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation stages, and was supported by a descriptive qualitative approach during the implementation stage. The media development process involved expert validation to assess feasibility in terms of content accuracy, visual appearance, interactivity, and language clarity. Practicality testing was conducted through teacher and student responses after the media was implemented in learning activities. The results indicated that the developed Canva-based interactive visual media achieved a very high level of feasibility and was categorized as highly practical. In addition, the use of this media supported active student engagement during the learning process. Therefore, the Canva-based interactive visual learning media is considered feasible and practical for use in elementary school IPAS learning.
