Abstract

Usaha mikro, kecil, dan menengah memiliki peran penting dalam menggerakkan pertumbuhan ekonomi nasional. Namun, masih banyak pelaku usaha pangan yang menghadapi kendala dalam memenuhi legalitas usaha, terutama sertifikasi halal. Di Kecamatan Cerme, para pengusaha kecil masih kurang memahami mekanisme sertifikasi halal gratis melalui skema deklarasi mandiri, sehingga membuat kepercayaan konsumen rendah dan daya saing produk terbatas. Program pendampingan ini dilakukan untuk meningkatkan pemahaman dan legalitas produk pangan mitra melalui proses sertifikasi halal self-declare. Kegiatan dilaksanakan melalui observasi langsung, wawancara, dokumentasi, serta pendampingan teknis selama empat kali pertemuan pada bulan September hingga Oktober. Fasilitator program pemberdayaan usaha memanfaatkan aplikasi digital untuk asesmen usaha, penyampaian materi, monitoring, hingga pengajuan sertifikasi halal melalui platform resmi. Tahapan program mencakup penilaian profil usaha, edukasi mengenai pentingnya legalitas halal, pendampingan pembuatan identitas usaha seperti Nomor Induk Berusaha, serta bimbingan dalam proses pendaftaran sertifikasi halal yang dilengkapi verifikasi proses produksi. Hasil pendampingan menunjukkan peningkatan kesadaran pelaku usaha terhadap pentingnya legalitas. Dua nasabah berhasil memperoleh sertifikat halal dan memperbaiki identitas usaha. Legalitas ini meningkatkan kepercayaan konsumen, memperluas peluang pemasaran, serta memperkuat daya saing produk pangan skala mikro di Kecamatan Cerme.

Abstract

This activity was carried out by students of the Elementary School Teacher Education Study Program at the University of Flores using a descriptive qualitative approach. Data were collected through observation and documentation during the learning process. The purpose of this activity was to improve students’ listening skills in interactive science learning on the topics of Biotic, Abiotic, and the Solar System. The results showed that listening skills play an important role in helping students understand scientific concepts more deeply. Students with good listening skills were able to capture information accurately, respond correctly to teachers’ questions, and relate the material to their everyday experiences. The use of interactive learning strategies such as group discussions, visual media, learning videos, and educational games was proven to increase students’ interest, attention, and active participation during the learning process. Therefore, listening skills are a key factor supporting the effectiveness of science learning in elementary schools and should be continuously developed through creative, innovative, and enjoyable teaching methods

Abstract

Science learning in elementary schools requires an interactive approach to help students understand abstract concepts such as biotic, abiotic, and the solar system. One of the essential elements in interactive learning is speaking skills, particularly students’ ability to communicate through questioning and presenting observations. This study aims to describe the role of speaking skills in interactive science learning at SDI Wolowaru 5. The research employed a descriptive qualitative method with data collected through observation and documentation. The findings show that speaking skills play a significant role in improving students’ understanding of scientific concepts and encouraging their confidence in asking questions during learning activities. In addition, speaking skills help students build self-confidence, participate actively in discussions, and interact more effectively within their groups. Speaking activities also support students in connecting scientific concepts with real-life experiences they encounter daily. Therefore, speaking skills become an important aspect in creating effective, enjoyable, and meaningful interactive science learning in elementary schools.

Abstract

Elementary schools are the primary target of this PKM because science learning needs to be adapted to the characteristics of student development through creative approaches and innovative media. This activity aims to improve elementary school students' scientific literacy through creative learning based on innovation and environmentally friendly technology. Initial observations at SDI Tongatey showed low student understanding of the digestive system, the sense of hearing, and biotic and abiotic components due to limited interesting and contextual learning media. The methods applied included developing teaching media, demonstrating simple teaching aids made from recycled materials, utilizing digital applications such as Assembler, Zep, and Worldwall, and mentoring through observation and discussion. The results of the activity showed an 80% increase in conceptual understanding, marked by students' ability to explain the digestive process, ear structure, and biotic-abiotic differences, accompanied by increased student enthusiasm and activeness. In addition, teachers acquired new skills in the use of digital media and environmentally friendly technology. Overall, this program effectively increased elementary school students' scientific literacy and learning motivation.

Abstract

Program Pengabdian kepada Masyarakat (PKM) ini bertujuan meningkatkan kapasitas guru dan pengelola sekolah dalam mengelola program ekstrakurikuler keagamaan, khususnya Tahfiz Al-Qur’an, sebagai sarana internalisasi akhlak karimah siswa sekolah dasar. Kegiatan PKM dilaksanakan dalam bentuk workshop pengelolaan ekstrakurikuler Tahfiz Al-Qur’an di SDN 118/IV Kota Jambi dengan pendekatan partisipatif-edukatif yang meliputi pemaparan materi, diskusi interaktif, simulasi praktik Tahfiz, serta penyusunan rencana tindak lanjut. Peserta kegiatan terdiri atas kepala sekolah, guru Pendidikan Agama Islam, guru pembina ekstrakurikuler, dan wali kelas. Hasil kegiatan menunjukkan adanya peningkatan pemahaman peserta mengenai konsep, manajemen, dan metode pembelajaran Tahfiz Al-Qur’an berbasis pembinaan karakter. Workshop ini menghasilkan dokumen rancangan program ekstrakurikuler Tahfiz Al-Qur’an yang terstruktur, panduan singkat pelaksanaan Tahfiz berbasis akhlak karimah, serta rumusan indikator karakter siswa seperti disiplin, tanggung jawab, dan adab Qur’ani. Program PKM ini memberikan kontribusi nyata dalam mendukung penguatan pendidikan karakter melalui pengelolaan ekstrakurikuler keagamaan yang sistematis dan berkelanjutan di sekolah dasar.

Abstract

This community service activity aims to strengthen the Takso By Freyfood MSME through the implementation of digital transformation and a more structured financial system to improve business efficiency and competitiveness. This MSME faces various problems, including limited digital marketing, manual financial record keeping, low production capacity, and limited human resources in business management. The implementation method includes field observations, structured interviews with business owners, training, and mentoring through simulations of digital application usage. The mentoring focused on implementing simple financial records based on Microsoft Excel, optimizing digital marketing through social media platforms like Instagram and TikTok, improving the quality of promotional content, and improving business operational management. The results of the activity showed an increase in business owners’ understanding of more organized and systematic financial management, expanding digital marketing reach, and increasing efficiency in operational processes. Overall, this community service activity has a positive impact on improving the performance and competitiveness of the Takso By Freyfood MSME in a sustainable manner.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the performance of the C4.5 algorithm in classifying passenger survival status using the Titanic dataset, which exhibits an imbalanced class distribution. The research employed a quantitative approach consisting of data preprocessing, manual calculation of entropy, information gain, split information, and gain ratio using Microsoft Excel, followed by model implementation using RapidMiner. The dataset contains 800 passenger records with the survived attribute defined as the class label. Manual calculation results indicate that the Gender attribute has the highest information gain value of 0.955, making it the root node of the decision tree, while other attributes such as Pclass, Age Group, and Fare Group contribute very limited information. The experimental results show that the C4.5 model achieves an accuracy of 62.50%; however, all test instances are predicted as non-survived, resulting in 0% precision and recall for the survived class. In addition, the generated decision tree structure is very shallow with no significant branching. These findings demonstrate that class imbalance in the Titanic dataset strongly affects the performance of the C4.5 algorithm, indicating the need for imbalanced data handling techniques to improve classification results.

Abstract

Soursop (Annona muricata L.) has great potential as a fruit plant and medicinal ingredient, but its germination process is relatively slow due to dormancy, thus requiring efforts to accelerate germination. This study aims to determine the effect of sanding position and vinegar soaking duration on the germination of soursop seeds (Annona muricata L.). A factorial randomized block design (RAKF) was used with two factors, namely the sanding position (control, tip, base, and middle of the seed) and the duration of vinegar soaking (0, 10, 20, and 30 minutes), resulting in 16 treatment combinations repeated three times with a total of 192 seeds. The parameters observed included germination percentage, mean germination time (MGT), and mean germination rate (MGR). The results showed that the sanding position and soaking duration had no significant effect on all germination parameters, although soaking in vinegar for 10 minutes resulted in a faster average germination time compared to other treatments, namely 23 days. This is thought to be due to other factors such as the influence of temperature and humidity in the research environment, as well as insufficient sanding thickness and soaking time in vinegar. Therefore, further research is needed to explore sanding thickness and soaking time in order to increase the germination rate of soursop seeds.

Abstract

Transformasi digital merupakan langkah strategis yang semakin penting bagi Usaha Mikro, Kecil, dan Menengah (UMKM) dalam menghadapi tantangan globalisasi dan disrupsi teknologi. Artikel ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis urgensi digitalisasi UMKM, tantangan utama yang dihadapi dalam proses implementasi, serta strategi dan kebijakan yang dapat mempercepat adopsi teknologi digital di sektor ini. Metode yang digunakan adalah tinjauan pustaka dan analisis studi kasus dari berbagai sumber terkini. Hasil diskusi menunjukkan bahwa digitalisasi memberikan kontribusi signifikan terhadap peningkatan efisiensi operasional, kepatuhan pajak, dan daya saing UMKM, terutama selama krisis seperti pandemi COVID-19. Namun, rendahnya literasi digital, terbatasnya akses terhadap teknologi dan modal, serta infrastruktur yang tidak merata merupakan hambatan signifikan bagi kemajuan. Oleh karena itu, diperlukan pendekatan kolaboratif antara pemerintah, lembaga keuangan, asosiasi bisnis, dan pelaku UMKM untuk menciptakan ekosistem digital yang inklusif dan berkelanjutan. Artikel ini memberikan rekomendasi kebijakan konkret sebagai panduan dalam mendorong transformasi digital UMKM di masa mendatang.

Abstract

This study aims to increase students' motivation to learn English through the application of various seating arrangements in class IX TA2 MTs. Nurul Jadid Paiton, Probolinggo. This study uses the Classroom Action Research (CAR) method, which is carried out in two cycles, where each cycle consists of the planning, action, observation, and reflection stages. The research subjects consisted of 26 female students, all of whom were Islamic boarding school students. The data collection instruments consisted of observation sheets, a learning motivation questionnaire with a 1–5 Likert scale based on the ARCS model (attention, relevance, confidence, satisfaction), and field notes. In the pre-cycle, student motivation was still low with an average score of 50.2. After implementing the U-shape seating arrangement in cycle I, the motivation score increased to 65.7. Improvements in learning strategies in cycle II, which focused on collaborative interaction, resulted in a more significant increase in motivation with an average score of 72.8. These findings indicate that U-shape seating arrangements can create an interactive learning atmosphere, increase confidence, and encourage active student participation in English language learning. Thus, classroom management strategies through seating variations can be implemented as an effective solution for teachers in their efforts to increase student learning motivation.
