Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh rasa syukur terhadap mindful parenting pada ibu yang memiliki anak down syndrome. Desain penelitian dalam studi ini adalah kuantitatif non-eksperimental dengan tipe eksplanatori. Sampel penelitian berjumlah 111 ibu yang memiliki anak dengan down syndrome di kota Medan. Teknik pengambilan sampel menggunakan purposive sampling dengan kriteria tertentu, kemudian diperluas melalui snowball sampling untuk menjangkau lebih banyak ibu yang memiliki anak down syndrome di kota Medan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa rasa syukur berpengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap mindful parenting (R = 0.340; R² = 0.116; F = 14.289; p < 0.001). Rasa syukur berkontribusi sebesar 11.6% dalam menjelaskan variasi mindful parenting, sementara 88.4% dipengaruhi oleh faktor lain. Berdasarkan nilai coefficients, rasa syukur secara signifikan memprediksi mindful parenting (β = 0.340, t = 3.780, p < 0.001), dengan nilai B = 0.141 yang mengindikasikan bahwa setiap peningkatan satu satuan rasa syukur meningkatkan mindful parenting sebesar 0.141 satuan. Temuan ini menegaskan pentingnya emosi positif sebagai fondasi bagi praktik pengasuhan sadar, terutama dalam konteks pengasuhan anak down syndrome.

Abstract

Social development and independence are important aspects in the growth of 6-year-old children, who are in the transition period to primary education. This study aims to detect early social development and independence of children through observation of play activities at Al Jamaiyah Kindergarten. The research approach used a qualitative descriptive method with purposive sampling techniques, direct observation, checklists, field notes, and anecdotal notes. The observation results show variations in development: children in the Very Well Developing category, such as Baim, Devan, and Satria, have mature social skills and stable independence; those in the Good to Good Developing category, such as Aznah, Halisa, and Mutia, show positive development but still need to strengthen consistency and emotional management; while children in the Needs Stimulation and Needs Special Attention category, namely Kaira and Zea, face challenges in self-regulation, social interaction, and decision-making. Play observations provide authentic images, enabling teachers and parents to provide appropriate stimulation and interventions so that children's social development and independence develop optimally.

Abstract

This community service activity aims to support inclusive mathematics learning through the implementation of cooperative learning and peer tutoring supported by psychological, classroom management, and collaborative approaches. The mentoring was conducted in October 2025 at SDN Mangli 1, Kaliwates District, Jember Regency, in third-grade mathematics learning involving regular students and students with special needs, namely dyslexia and slow learners. The methods used included coordination with the school and class teacher, observation, interviews, and documentation as a basis for reflection and improvement of learning. Cooperative learning was carried out through small heterogeneous groups, while peer tutoring involved regular students as peer tutors. The mentoring also emphasized inclusive classroom management and psychological support to increase student motivation, self-confidence, and social interaction. The results of the activity showed increased student engagement, understanding of the concept of arithmetic operations for students with special needs, the creation of a more inclusive and collaborative classroom atmosphere, and increased teacher experience in managing inclusive mathematics learning in a more structured and responsive manner.

Abstract

This community service program aimed to enhance community capacity in managing household organic waste through training on liquid organic fertilizer (LOF) production in Sukakarya Village. The program was implemented using a multi-stakeholder collaboration involving university lecturers, an industrial partner (Pertamina), and the local women farmer group (KWT Melati). The activity adopted a participatory approach combining educational sessions, hands-on training, and evaluation through pre- and post-tests. Household organic waste such as vegetable residues, fruit peels, and leftover rice was processed using a simple anaerobic fermentation method with Effective Microorganisms 4 (EM4) as a bioactivator. The results showed a significant improvement in participants understanding of waste management, circular economy concepts, and LOF production procedures. In addition, participants demonstrated increased environmental awareness and readiness to independently produce LOF at the household level. Although the program was limited to the production stage without field application, the outcomes indicate strong potential for sustainable waste management and community empowerment. This initiative highlights the effectiveness of community-based education supported by multi-stakeholder collaboration as a replicable model for rural environmental sustainability programs.

Abstract

Organic waste management, particularly fruit peel waste, remains a challenge in school environments. Eco-enzyme production offers a simple and environmentally friendly solution that also supports environmental education. This community service program aimed to improve students’ knowledge and skills in managing fruit peel waste through eco-enzyme production training at SMPIT Al-Qudwah. The program was implemented using a hands-on training approach, including material delivery, direct practice, and evaluation using a pretest–posttest design involving 15 students. The results showed a clear increase in posttest scores compared to pretest scores, indicating improved understanding of organic waste management and eco-enzyme production. The training effectively enhanced students’ environmental awareness and practical skills, demonstrating the potential of experiential learning as a replicable model for school-based environmental education

Abstract

Caregivers or family members who take care of people with schizophrenia (PWS) often experience a heavy psychological burden, stress, and high social pressure. These conditions can affect their ability to use adaptive coping strategies and decrease their level of resilience. Good resilience is essential for caregivers to adapt, endure challenges, and perform their role optimally. Objective: This study aims to determine the relationship between coping strategies and resilience among family caregivers of schizophrenia patients at the Mental Health Clinic of UPT RSUD Madani, Central Sulawesi Province. Methods: This research used a quantitative analytical method with a cross-sectional approach. The study population consisted of caregivers of schizophrenia patients at the mental health clinic of UPT RSUD Madani Palu. The sample was calculated using the Fisher Z transformation formula, resulting in 48 respondents. The sampling technique used was purposive sampling. The instruments used were the adapted Brief COPE questionnaire to measure coping strategies and the Connor-Davidson Resilience Scale (CD-RISC) 25 items to measure resilience. Data were analyzed using univariate and bivariate analysis with the Chi-Square test. Results: The results showed a significant relationship between coping strategies and resilience among caregivers of schizophrenia patients (p = 0.000; p < 0.05). Conclusion: There is a significant relationship between coping strategies and resilience among caregivers of people with schizophrenia. Caregivers who employ adaptive coping strategies tend to have higher levels of resilience. Efforts to improve adaptive coping abilities through education, family counseling, and the establishment of support groups are needed to strengthen the psychological resilience of caregivers in providing care for schizophrenia patients.

Abstract

Penelitian ini mengeksplorasi implementasi Bioedupreneur sebagai model experiential entrepreneurship learning bagi mahasiswa Pendidikan Biologi, yang mengintegrasikan pembelajaran teori, Wadhwani Entrepreneurship, dan real market exposure. Pendekatan kualitatif fenomenologis digunakan dengan tujuh partisipan yang dipilih melalui criterion-based sampling. Data dikumpulkan melalui wawancara terbuka, observasi, dan dokumentasi. Hasil menunjukkan bahwa integrasi teori, pemantauan progres berbasis digital, dan keterlibatan pasar nyata menciptakan pengalaman belajar kewirausahaan yang autentik serta meningkatkan literasi bisnis, kepercayaan diri, dan kemampuan pengambilan keputusan mahasiswa. Bioedupreneur terbukti sebagai pendekatan experiential learning yang efektif dan dapat direplikasi pada program studi sains lainnya.

Abstract

The One Health approach emphasizes the importance of the interconnectedness between human, animal, and environmental health as an integrated effort for disease prevention and control. This community service activity aimed to implement the One Health approach through educational interventions for elementary school students at MI Al Fatah, Sukorejo Village, Sidayu District, Gresik Regency. The activity methods included material presentations, screening of educational videos, handwashing practice, and the administration of pre-tests and post-tests. The results showed an improvement in students’ understanding of the One Health concept, as evidenced by an increase in scores from 68.75% in the pre-test to 90.63% in the post-test. In addition, positive changes in clean and healthy living behaviors were observed, along with increased support from teachers to integrate this concept into learning activities. These findings indicate that an educational approach based on One Health is effectively implemented at the elementary school level and has the potential to serve as a sustainable community empowerment strategy.

Abstract

Kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan pemahaman dan keterampilan guru PAUD serta orang tua di Kecamatan Tapa dalam mengenal, memilih, dan memanfaatkan media digital interaktif yang aman dan sesuai dengan tahap perkembangan anak usia dini. Latar belakang kegiatan ini didasarkan pada masih terbatasnya kemampuan mitra dalam menggunakan media digital edukatif serta rendahnya literasi digital keluarga, khususnya terkait keamanan dan etika penggunaan gawai pada anak. Metode pelaksanaan kegiatan menggunakan pendekatan edukatif–partisipatif melalui penyampaian materi, demonstrasi langsung, dan praktik terbimbing. Materi yang disampaikan meliputi konsep dasar media digital interaktif, kriteria media ramah anak, contoh pemanfaatan media digital dalam pembelajaran PAUD, serta literasi keamanan dan privasi digital. Hasil kegiatan menunjukkan adanya peningkatan pemahaman peserta terhadap variasi media digital interaktif yang dapat digunakan untuk stimulasi perkembangan anak, serta kemampuan awal dalam menilai kelayakan dan keamanan konten digital. Luaran kegiatan berupa contoh media digital interaktif siap pakai, lembar kerja digital sederhana, daftar aplikasi edukatif yang aman, dan panduan etika serta privasi penggunaan media digital. Kegiatan ini memberikan kontribusi positif dalam meningkatkan literasi digital guru PAUD dan orang tua serta mendukung terciptanya lingkungan pembelajaran yang lebih interaktif, aman, dan bermakna bagi anak usia dini.

Abstract

Membership administration is a fundamental component of effective church governance. GKI Maleo faces challenges in managing congregational data due to the continued use of manual record-keeping systems, which leads to risks of data loss, duplicated information, and difficulties in data management. This community service activity aims to assist GKI Maleo in reorganizing its membership administration through the development of a membership data website that includes features for personal data, family information, sacramental records, membership transfers, and service history. The implementation method includes needs analysis, system design, website development, user training, as well as monitoring and evaluation. The results show a significant improvement in data accuracy, efficiency in data retrieval, and the church administrators’ ability to manage congregational information digitally. The development of this website provides a tangible contribution to the modernization of church administration and enhances the quality of services provided to the congregation.
