Fokus ABDIMAS (Jurnal Ilmiah Pengabdian kepada Masyarakat) diterbitkan oleh STIE Pelita Nusantara Semarang dengan tujuan mempublikasikan hasil kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat yang bersifat aplikatif, inovatif, dan memberikan dampak nyata bagi masyarakat. Pengelolaan wilayah pedesaan berbasis kearifan lokal Termasuk tata kelola desa, pembangunan berkelanjutan, dan community development. Pengembangan Ekonomi, Kewirausahaan, Koperasi, Industri Kreatif, dan UMKM Seperti pelatihan manajemen keuangan, manajemen usaha, pemasaran digital, dan inkubasi bisnis. Pengembangan teknologi berwawasan lingkungan Meliputi teknologi ramah lingkungan, pengelolaan limbah, dan edukasi lingkungan untuk masyarakat. Inovasi teknologi dalam bisnis Termasuk penerapan teknologi informasi, digitalisasi proses bisnis, aplikasi akuntansi dan manajemen berbasis IT, serta solusi otomatisasi usaha. Jurnal ini menerima artikel yang berasal dari program pengabdian kepada masyarakat, pendampingan, pelatihan, pemberdayaan komunitas, implementasi teknologi tepat guna, evaluasi program, serta best practices yang relevan dengan bidang akuntansi dan manajemen.

Abstract

The accounting profession plays a crucial role in supporting national economic growth and ensuring stability in political, economic, and cultural aspects. To introduce the significance of this profession to younger generations, a community service activity was held at SMK Cut Nya’ Dien in Semarang on August 12, 2024. The activity aimed to educate students on the importance of accounting in business, as well as the opportunities and challenges faced by accountants in the future. The method used included interactive lectures and two-way discussions, encouraging active participation from 20 grade 12 students. The materials covered the role of accounting in business management, career opportunities in accounting (public accountant, management accountant, audit, taxation), and the challenges accountants face in the digital era. Student understanding was evaluated through quick quizzes and a "fishing" technique to stimulate discussion. Door prizes were also given to motivate active engagement. Abstract

Pencak silat Kuntu is a traditional martial art from Mancilan, Kelurahan Pohjentrek, Kota Pasuruan, rich in cultural values and philosophy. However, with the rapid advancement of modernization and popular culture, the popularity of Pencak Silat Kuntu has declined, particularly among the younger generation. This community service activity aims to introduce Pencak Silat Kuntu as part of efforts to preserve local culture in Kelurahan Pohjentrek. The target participants were 50 fifth-grade students from SD Pohjentrek I. The method employed was a socialization session through the screening of a documentary video that presents the history, philosophy, and fundamental movements of Pencak Silat Kuntu. This initiative successfully enhanced students' understanding of the importance of local cultural preservation, with 90% of participants demonstrating improved knowledge. Furthermore, 70% of students expressed interest in furthering their study of pencak silat. This activity aims to foster awareness of the significance of safeguarding local cultural heritage and encourages youth engagement in the preservation of traditions. The involvement of schools as formal educational institutions is expected to serve as a bridge between local traditions and the younger generation for the sustainability of this culture in the future.

Abstract

The digital economy era demands that micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs) adopt digital marketing strategies to enhance their competitiveness and sustainability. However, limited digital literacy and the absence of formal business legality remain key barriers for many MSMEs. This community empowerment program aimed to strengthen the digital capabilities of MSMEs in Gajahmungkur District, Semarang City. The intervention consisted of facilitating business registration through the issuance of Business Identification Numbers (NIB), assisting in the development and optimization of Google My Business (GMB) profiles, and providing basic branding support through logo and promotional material design. The program was implemented through a series of participatory workshops, individualized mentoring, and technical assistance. The results revealed an improvement in participants’ awareness and ability to utilize digital platforms to promote their businesses. Additionally, the formalization of business legality through NIB registration increased the trust and market access of MSMEs. This program demonstrates that integrating digital marketing assistance with legal empowerment initiatives can significantly contribute to the competitiveness and resilience of MSMEs in the evolving digital landscape. Abstract

This community engagement initiative was designed to support MSMEs in Cibadung Village, Gunung Sindur District, in addressing obstacles related to digital marketing and the underutilization of online marketplaces. Adopting a structured approach, the program offers digital literacy workshops, guidance on optimizing online stores, training in digital marketing techniques, inventory control, customer service enhancement, and regular monitoring and evaluation. The involvement of students as mentors fosters stronger collaboration between academia and entrepreneurial practice. The program’s outcomes indicate improvements in the digital skills of MSMEs, growth in sales transactions, and enhanced competitiveness of local products in the online marketplace. With its systematic and sustainable approach, this program has the potential to serve as a replicable model for digital empowerment of MSMEs in other areas.

Abstract

Micro enterprises are unformal businesses that have very small assets, capital and turnover. Another characteristic is that the type of business conditions that are carried out often change, the location of the business is sometimes less fixed, generally not served by banks, and many do not have business legality. One of the small and medium enterprises or commonly known as MSMEs that has the potential to be developed and can create jobs for rural communities in Rembang District is the “Gorengan Eka” MSME. “Gorengan Eka” is an MSME that produces various types of fried foods such as martabak, mindoan, cireng and others. In the pre-survey activities carried out by the community service team, MSME “Gorengan Eka” has weaknesses faced in developing its business, namely not having social media as information media, marketing media, affordable and limited marketing networks, less strategic place. Based on the problems obtained, the community service team made a program, namely making social media as a marketing medium for MSMEs, making business banners, and making media directions where MSMEs are located. Through this activity program, it is hoped that MSMEs will be able to compete, increase sales, increase MSME income and the welfare of MSME owners.Keyword: Strategic Marketing, Development, MSMEs

Abstract

Time management is an important skill that affects students' academic success. This community service program aims to provide education about the importance of time management to students of the Bumigora University Accounting Study Program. This activity aims to overcome common problems among students, namely difficulties in managing time effectively for lecture activities, assignments, organizations, and personal lives. The approach used includes socialization, interactive discussions, and training on the use of tools such as to-do lists, priority matrices, and digital time management applications. This training has succeeded in increasing students' understanding of the importance of time management and their ability to manage study schedules and other activities. Evaluation through questionnaires and participant reflections showed that most participants felt more directed, disciplined, and able to complete tasks on time after participating in the training. In addition to academic impact, the program also contributes to the formation of positive character, such as responsibility and independence. Time management education can be an effective innovation in supporting students to achieve superior achievements. This activity is expected to be a model of continuous education that can be applied in various other study programs to form a generation of students who are skilled, independent, and highly competitive.Keywords: time management, academic achievement, students, accounting, community service

Abstract

The purpose of this training activity is to provide understanding to MSME actors in partner villages about income, costs, and profits. The location of this event is Gembongan Village in Sigaluh District, Banjarnegara Regency. Gembongan Village has a community that mostly consists of micro, small and medium enterprises (MSMEs). Among them are MSMEs that sell honey bananas, dried combro, herbal medicine, various dry snacks, and gutela, which is sugar made from cassava. Because it is considered the right step to encourage people's business tastes and increase financial literacy for business owners, this activity is intended for business owners. They must also know about all costs and profits. This activity helps MSME actors understand financial management and the right financial management system.

Abstract

Pedurungaan sub-district, which consists of many sub-districts and community units (RW), has hundreds of MSMEs that have been established, both pioneered by young people or housewives and many have a semi-modern system involving digital technology in marketing their products or services. The MSMEs were given training on improving the use of social media marketing and how to build a communication network in order to form a cooperation ecosystem between MSMEs to mutually strengthen the quality of their products or services by establishing cooperation between MSMEs. They feel that what they have done so far has not been optimal because they do not know what to do with the progress of the communication network cooperation. With this training, they open their hearts and minds to develop their business with the knowledge received during this training, namely marketing through social media marketing. This training is very helpful for MSMEs in trying to increase sales of their products so that they can cover their operational costs and can get decent profits and do not need to worry about sluggish sales due to limited sales capabilities and existing distribution networks and to increase sales and consumer trust we also conduct training on how to build a network of cooperation between MSMEs. It is expected that participants can continue to improve their business and use the right social media so that the business they run can grow.

Abstract

Ecotourism is a form of sustainable tourism that not only focuses on environmental conservation but also on improving the welfare of local communities. Community empowerment in the management and utilization of ecotourism is an important aspect of creating active involvement and ownership of natural resources. This research aims to examine the role and strategy of community empowerment in participatory-based ecotourism development. The method used is a qualitative approach with data collection techniques through interviews, observations, and documentation studies in local communities in ecotourism areas. The results of the study show that community participation in ecotourism can increase economic capacity, strengthen local cultural values, and create a sense of responsibility for environmental conservation. However, challenges such as limited access to information, low managerial capacity, and lack of policy support remain obstacles that need to be overcome. Therefore, a collaboration between the government, non-governmental organizations, and the private sector is needed to strengthen the position of the community as the main actor in sustainable ecotourism management. Keywords  : community empowerment, ecotourism, participation, environmental conservation, sustainable development.

Abstract

This community service activity aims to improve the financial literacy of Persit mothers through frugal living education, a frugal lifestyle that emphasizes wise financial management without sacrificing quality of life. This program teaches the principles of smart spending, effective budgeting, and a positive financial mindset using the approach of behavioral economics and Maslow’s hierarchy of needs theory. Through counseling and interactive workshops, participants are equipped with skills to distinguish between needs and wants, manage expenses efficiently, and apply financial planning methods such as the 50/30/20 rule. Evaluations show that 90% of participants experienced an increase in their understanding of household financial management and have begun implementing budgeting strategies and financial record-keeping. Discussion sessions revealed that participants feel more confident in making more rational and sustainable financial decisions. The results of this activity indicate that frugal living education has a positive impact on shaping a smarter and more disciplined financial mindset. Therefore, this program is recommended for further development with additional materials on investment and financial risk management to enhance overall family well-being.Keywords: frugral living, smart spending, behavioral economics
