Abstract

Penelitian ini berisikan urgensi ilmu nahwu terhadap pembelajaran Bahasa Arab khusus nya pada keterampilan membaca yang didasarkan kepada kurangnya pemahaman pelajar terhadap kontribusi dan pentingnya mempelajarai Ilmu Nahwu. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah agar dapat memberikan wawasan dan pengetahuan tambahan terkait kontribusi atau peran ilmu nahwu terhadap keterampilan membaca Bahasa Arab yang lebih baik dan diharapkan juga agar dapat menumbuhkan kesadaran akan pentingnya pemahaman terkait ilmu nahwu, terkhusus bagi para pelajar Bahasa Arab. Penelitian ini merupakan jenis penelitian kualitatif dengan teknik pengumpulan datanya menggunakan studi kepustakaan, wawancara, dan observasi. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwasanya keterampilan membaca yang baik ditunjang dengan adanya pemahaman terhadap Ilmu Nahwu yang mencakup tentang struktur kalimat (اعراب), jenis kalimat, penggunaan tanda baca yang tepat, serta kajian Ilmu Nahwu yang lain yang dapat mempengaruhi perolehan makna teks berbahasa Arab. Pemahaman terhadap ilmu nahwu maka akan dapat meningkatkan keterampilan membaca yang baik dan mempermudah dalam menangkap isi, makna, ataupun kandungan dari informasi berbahasa Arab. This research discusses the importance of nahwu (Arabic grammar) in Arabic language learning, particularly in reading skills, which is based on the students' lack of understanding of the contribution and significance of studying Nahwu. The purpose of this study is to provide additional insights and knowledge regarding the contribution or role of Nahwu in improving Arabic reading skills, and it is also expected to raise awareness of the importance of understanding Nahwu, especially for Arabic language learners. This research is a qualitative study using literature review, interviews, and observations as data collection techniques. The results of this study indicate that good reading skills are supported by an understanding of nahwu, which includes sentence structure (اعراب), sentence types, proper punctuation, and other aspects of nahwu that affect the interpretation of Arabic texts. A good understanding of nahwu can enhance reading skills and make it easier to grasp the content, meaning, or substance of information in the Arabic language.

Abstract

ABSTRACT This study aims to determine the effect of the application of flipped classroom in improving maharatul kalam of PBA UIN Sunan Kalijaga students. This research uses a descriptive qualitative approach using a questionnaire method. Students were asked to study the material independently outside the classroom, while the time in class was for discussion and practice of speaking Arabic actively. The result showed that the application flipped classroom can significantly improve students confidence and maharatul kalam in Arabic, although there are some challenges related to access to materials and motivation to learn independently. This study concludes that the flipped classroom method is effective for improving students maharatul kalm in Arabic.

Abstract

The self-directed learning/SDL learning model (learning from one's own experience) is a process where the initiative to learn with/or without the help of other parties is carried out by the students themselves. The essence of learning independence is that there are learning activities that are self-regulated, self-aware, and independent. The aim of this research is to determine the application of the self-directed learning method to increase independence in learning Arabic. The research method used is a quantitative experimental method. This research was conducted at MTsN 1 Sidoarjo with the research population being 338 class 7 students and the sample used was 32 class 7A students & 32 class 7B students. Data collection techniques include giving questionnaires, observations and interviews carried out using interactive communication with the Arabic language teacher. The results of the research show that the Self Directed Learning model has an effect on increasing independence in learning Arabic.

Abstract

Understanding lexical and grammatical meaning in Arabic is essential for linguistic studies and language learning. This study aims to explore the concept of lexical meaning, such as synonyms, antonyms, homonyms, hyponyms, and hypernyms, as well as grammatical meaning that emerges from the structural context of words and sentences in Arabic. Using a literature study method, this study analyzes relevant literature, including books, journal articles, and other scientific works, to reveal the interaction and importance of the two types of meaning. A qualitative descriptive approach is used to identify patterns and relationships in the data. The results show different roles between lexical meaning, which forms the basis of vocabulary, and grammatical meaning, which enables the construction and interpretation of sentences accurately. These two types of meaning are interrelated and contribute significantly to the richness of the Arabic language.

Abstract

In the discussion of Arabic language studies, especially in the study of Nahwu and Sharf, there is one unique discussion, namely about jama' Taksir. Jama' Taksir is divided into two (2), namely jama' Qillah and Katsrah, where these jama'-jama' have many wazans and have special characters in the formation process. The formulation of the problem in this research is (1) What are the wazan jama' Taksir in surah al-Ma'idah? (2) What is the grammatical marker for jama' Taksir in surah al-Ma'idah? (3) How is the translation of jama' Taksir in surah al-Ma'idah? This research is qualitative research using descriptive analysis and library research. The primary/main data source in this research is Surah al-Ma'idah and its translation, while the researchers took secondary/supporting data sources from journals, dictionaries or other literature, both offline and online. In collecting data, the author used the text observation/document research method. The formation of the jama' Taksir is very varied, so that discrepancies are often found in translating it. Translators often translate the jama' Taksīr in the form of reduplication (repetition), so it will result in a lot of wasted words (redundancy), even though not all reduplications mean jama'. From this research, the author found: Based on the wazan, researchers found jama' Taksir in surah al-Ma'idah as many as 123 words consisting of 53 words in the jama' Qillah category and 70 words in the jama' Katsrah category. Based on grammatical markers, researchers found 33 words in the rafa' category, 49 words in the category of nashab and 41 words in the category of jarr. Based on the translation, researchers found that 80 words were correct and 43 words were incorrect.

Abstract

This study aims to identify the instructional models implemented in the teaching of Arabic at Madrasah Aliyah (MA) Sejahtera Pare, Kediri, East Java. The research employs a qualitative approach using descriptive analysis. Data were collected through documentation, observation, and interviews, sourced from both primary and secondary data. Data analysis was carried out through data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing. The findings indicate that three primary instructional models are commonly used in the Arabic language teaching process at MA Sejahtera: (1) the PAIKEM model, which aims to create an active, creative, and enjoyable learning environment to enhance students' motivation and engagement; (2) the game-based learning model, which serves as an interactive and enjoyable strategy to increase student participation and contextual vocabulary comprehension in Arabic; and (3) the social interaction model, which emphasizes the development of a language-rich environment (bi’ah lughawiyah) and strengthens speaking and listening skills through peer and teacher-student interactions.

Abstract

Research title: (The verb (asbaha) in the Holy Qur’an, a grammatical and semantic study) Its importance: The importance of the topic appears in the reactions (asbaha) imperfect and complete, with different meanings. Its objectives: Study the verb (asbaha) in the Holy Qur’an ,His method: descriptive. The most important results: The verb (asbaha) was incomplete in the sense of “became” in thirteen places, it was incomplete in the meaning of entering the morning time in seven places, the present tense (usbiho-tosbiho) in five places, and the active participle (musbih) was in five places. It is possible that (asbaha) decreases and completes according to the grammatical guidance And the semantic meaning. Among the recommendations: are for students of the Arabic language to research the Holy Qur’an to learn the secrets of the language, and for researchers to study nouns, verbs and letters to understand the grammatical and semantic aspects, and for those interested to study the remaining missing verbs in the Holy Qur’an.

Abstract

Phonetic difficulties remain a significant barrier for non-native Arabic learners, especially in mastering the pronunciation and articulation of certain Arabic phonemes. While previous research has focused on traditional memorization or memorization methods, there has been limited exploration into student-centered creative approaches such as singing. Many students have difficulty remembering and actively using Arabic vocabulary in everyday conversation. This can hinder their understanding of Islamic religious texts and literature, which is mostly written in Arabic. Often, the traditional memorization process is considered boring and less engaging for students resulting in their low motivation to learn. This study aims to investigate the effectiveness of innovative singing methods in overcoming phonetic challenges faced by Arabic-speaking students at the Nurul Chotib Islamic Boarding School. This study uses a qualitative descriptive method with a case study approach. The locus is the Nurul Chotib Islamic Boarding School, where data is collected through observations, interviews with teachers and students, and audio recordings of pronunciation exercises. Data analysis was carried out through data reduction, coding, and thematic interpretation to identify the impact of the singing method. The findings show that integrating melodies into Arabic pronunciation lessons significantly improves students' articulation and phonetic accuracy. Its novelty lies in the application of culturally relevant and engaging methods that increase retention and motivation. In conclusion, the main lesson that can be taken from this study is that including music in the learning process can make memorization activities more fun and effective. In addition, the contribution of this method can increase students' motivation to be more actively involved in learning, as well as strengthen their memory. Therefore, the singing method can be considered a useful alternative to improve the quality of language and religion learning in Islamic boarding schools.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effectiveness of the use of Instagram media in  learning the Arabic language, especially vocabulary, in the millennial generation.  The qualitative method uses a descriptive approach according to the issues at hand,  which is the effectiveness of Instagram in mastering Arabic vocabulary among  millennials. The results of this study indicate that Instagram is one of the social  media that supports learners (the millennial generation) to learn, understand and  memorise Arabic vocabulary without being restricted by time and place. Based on  the results of an online survey given to the students who received positive  responses, six agreed to use Instagram to learn Arabic vocabulary. Students  responded positively because it was flexible, interesting, timeless, and creative.  Negative response because it requires an internet connection, and learning cannot  be implemented directly. Through this research, it is hoped that millennials can use  Instagram media wisely, such as technology, to gain knowledge and expand their  horizons.

Abstract

Traditional Arabic language instruction in Islamic educational institutions often employs conventional approaches focused on memorization and grammar mastery, neglecting students' diverse learning potentials and spiritual development. Despite separate studies on Multiple Intelligences in language teaching and Qur'anic values in education, research comprehensively integrating these approaches in Arabic pedagogy remains scarce. This study aimed to design an Arabic language learning model that synthesizes Gardner's Multiple Intelligences theory with Qur'anic values for holistic student development. Using a descriptive qualitative methodology through library research, data were collected from scientific journals, books, and Qur'anic texts. Analysis employed an inductive-based thematic approach (al-tahlil al-istiqra'i) involving identification of key themes, categorization, cross-source synthesis, and conceptual conclusion drawing. Findings revealed that this integrated approach creates a student-centered, spiritually enriched learning environment that accommodates diverse cognitive profiles while internalizing Islamic principles. Implementation strategies for the four language skills (istima', kalam, qira'ah, kitabah) demonstrated enhanced student engagement and improved language acquisition when tailored to students' dominant intelligences and embedded with Qur'anic values. This model contributes a novel pedagogical framework that addresses limitations of traditional approaches while promoting both linguistic proficiency and Islamic character formation.
