El-Mujtama: Jurnal Pengabdian Masyarakat is a scientific journal about community service programs and activities as part of the implementation of the Tri Dharma of Higher Education. Abstract

The Family Learning Center plays a big role in developing parental control over the family, to prevent negative impacts that can damage the moral values of the nation's future generations. Through government-run programs, the Family Learning Center provides an understanding to citizens about the importance of monitoring their families. This research focuses on the application of Social Change theory and Rogers & Kincaid Communication. Data analysis is carried out using the interactive Miles and Huberman model in stages and interactively with the predetermined data. The Family Learning Center plays a very important role in improving family welfare. By using direct communication methods at the community hall, this program has successfully achieved its set targets.

Abstract

This research aims to find out how Islamic education teachers teach 9th grade students at SMPN 35 Medan, Jln. Tegal Sari Dusun VI Tembung, Kec. Percut Sei Tuan, Kab. Deli Serdang, North Sumatra. The research method used qualitative. The descriptive data obtained consists of words, descriptions, and behaviors expressed in the form of reports. This is done through data collection, data interpretation, drawing conclusions, and reporting. The research results show that the teaching strategies used by Islamic education teachers for 9th grade students at SMPN 35 Medan involve several stages. Before starting the Islamic education lesson, the teacher greets the students with a greeting. Then, the teacher directs the students to recite a prayer together led by one of the male students. After that, the teacher takes attendance. Then, the teacher briefly explains the material to be discussed. Next, the teacher divides the students into several groups consisting of 4-5 people. The teacher then directs the students to read supporting books related to the material being studied, and finally, the teacher creates a game aimed at increasing the students' knowledge and rewards the group that wins.

Abstract

This study aims to find out the application of civic education in improving students' learning motivation on the material of Unity in Diversity in Elementary School. This type of research is descriptive with a qualitative approach. Qualitative research methods are used to deeply examine the research object without trying to manipulate the research, but rather studying a phenomenon. The results of the research on fifth grade students show that there are still some students who are less motivated in learning civic education, especially in the material of Unity in Diversity, because they have difficulty understanding the teacher's explanation. Learning about Unity in Diversity is expected to create an attitude of mutual respect among students so that they can apply it in daily life and increase student motivation through the use of more active and enthusiastic learning media. Teachers also face difficulties due to the lack of creative and innovative learning media, where they only rely on material from textbooks, making it difficult for students to understand Unity in Diversity in daily life.

Abstract

Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) play a crucial role in the local economic growth in the Gunung Anyar Tambak Village. Halal certification plays an important role in maintaining business sustainability, increasing market access, competitiveness, product value added, as well as obtaining financing and government support. However, many MSMEs in Gunung Anyar Tambak Village do not yet have halal certification for their food products. This activity aims to increase understanding and mentoring as an effort to optimize sustainable economic growth of MSMEs. Halal certification also supports the SDGs goal number 8 on sustainable economic growth. With halal certification mentoring, it is hoped that MSMEs can improve competitiveness, reach more marketers, and contribute to inclusive and sustainable economic growth.

Abstract

Conducting da'wah in a diverse community is not just about holding strong beliefs, but also about embodying strong moral principles and social ethics. This study discusses the implementation of da'wah in the Pinangratus village, focusing on efforts to enhance community solidarity through social activities. Pinangratus village is a heterogeneous environment, where various social and cultural backgrounds coexist. The aim of this research is to reveal how da'wah in this village can serve as a means to strengthen social relationships and increase solidarity among residents. The study uses qualitative research methods, involving observation, interviews, and document analysis to collect data. The results show that the implementation of da'wah in Pinangratus has successfully created a variety of social activities involving the entire village community. These activities include the development of social infrastructure, educational programs, health assistance, and various religious activities involving all villagers, regardless of their social or cultural background.

Abstract

Public Relations (PR) plays a crucial role in the success of a company. PR helps shape the positive image of the company in the eyes of the public, maintains good relationships with customers and stakeholders, supports marketing strategies, and safeguards the company's reputation in times of crisis. This research uses the Literature Review method. With this method, the research will delve into the concepts contained in the PR code of ethics, such as honesty, integrity, and social responsibility. Literature Review will provide a deep understanding of the ethical values that form the basis for maintaining and building a positive company image. The research shows that Advertising Experts, as one of the links between an organization and its public, certainly have rules to follow. These policies are related to the morals and ethics that must be upheld by a PR professional in supporting their work. Advertising morals are used as a guideline for the skills and thinking that leave an impression on an Advertising specialist in their actions and decision-making. An Advertising Specialist certainly has responsibilities and obligations that play a crucial role in the organization's image.

Abstract

This article aims to analyze the ethics of public relations communication in the government on the X @Kemkominfo account in analyzing the content of message delivery to the public. The type of research used is descriptive qualitative, the primary data source focuses on the content of the account which is then analyzed using content analysis. The results show that the government account @Kemkominfo has not yet implemented communication ethics through social media X. This is due to the dislike of netizens towards the arrogant nature of the message responses on an account that should represent part of Indonesia. In addition, the language style used by the admin on the X @Kemkominfo account tends to use slang and is informal.

Abstract

Indonesia is ready to participate in the simultaneous elections in 2024. Concerns ahead of the elections revolve around political identity issues, which have been a recurring theme in various elections in the country, including presidential, legislative, and regional head elections. Political actors utilize mass media to build public trust and shape their image in the eyes of the public. TikTok, a popular social media application with over 689 million users worldwide as of January 2021, has become a platform for expressing both supportive and opposing comments regarding the presidential candidates in 2024. This research uses qualitative research methods with a descriptive approach, with the main data source being the TikTok social media platform. The research data consists of netizen comments containing criticism related to political identity issues. Data collection for this research involves documenting screen responses to netizen comments expressing criticism of political identity. The research findings explain how netizens respond to political identity issues.

Abstract

Exploring the Code of Ethics in the Public Relations (PR) profession marks an important milestone in modern communication practice. This article explores the Code of Ethics adopted by the Indonesian Public Relations Association (Perhumas) and the Indonesian Public Relations Association (APRI) in Indonesia. Through a scientific approach, this article presents in-depth analysis of the significance, scope, and implementation of the Code of Ethics in the context of PR. The discussion covers normative, ethical, and moral responsibilities inherent in the role of PR practitioners in society. A deep understanding of this Code of Ethics serves as the main foundation in creating a positive image for PR professionals and the organizations they represent. This article also emphasizes the importance of understanding the role of law in communication activities, illustrating the integral relationship between ethical principles and legal foundations in effective and responsible PR practice.

Abstract

The development of information technology has significantly changed the communication landscape, affecting the practices of Public Relations (PR) in the digital era. This article explores the ethics of the profession and professionalism in the context of PR in the digital era. PR practitioners face new challenges in maintaining integrity, transparency, and honesty in communication in the fast and complex digital world. The research method used is qualitative method with a phenomenological approach. The research results show that Indonesia currently still does not have specific laws related to the internet (Internet Law). Therefore, the Code of Ethics for Public Relations in the digital era is a form of self-imposed regulation and normative in carrying out functions that have the power to influence or engage in social engineering in public opinion simultaneously through cooperation with mass media.
