EduInovasi: Journal of Basic Educational Studies is a journal published in the Study Program of Madrasah Ibtidaiyah Teacher Education, Faculty of Tarbiyah, the  Islamic Institute of Laa Roiba Bogor. This journal is published twice a year in February and Agust. Furthermore, this journal is published in two versions, namely print and online. The focus of this journal contains articles on research on Madrasah Ibtidaiyah Teacher Education / Primary / MI / SD Teacher Education, such as competency analysis, learning strategies, learning theory, learning development, educator professionalism, and research results. Reviewers will review any submitted paper. The Journal kindly invites scientists, scholars, professionals, and researchers in the form of the contribution with articles to be published and disseminated through: the selection mechanism of the article, criticized by reviewer, and the editing process. Abstract

This research study is to determine the application of throwing the ball to improve the learning of passing volleyball in Class IV Medan students. The research uses a classroom action research design which is carried out in two cycles, each cycle consisting of planning, action implementation, observation and reflection. Research subject These are Class IV students, totaling 20 students. Data on volleyball learning outcomes were obtained through performance tests, observation sheets were used to collect data on student activities in following the volleyball learning process using the ball throwing method. The results of this research were obtained based on an assessment of three aspects, namely psychomotor, affective and cognitive. Regarding the national sports legislation system , sports development began to be taken seriously. The development of the club style was implemented in European countries, while the United States implemented the development of the school style. Volleyball has different characteristics and problems, so special treatment is needed to improve volleyball development optimally. Based on the statement that all systems will not be perfect, the two development paths above will be a challenge to choose the right one to implement. The development of volleyball in Indonesia is generally divided into clubs and education. Adapting two types of sports development will make the existence of a better volleyball development system.

Abstract

The aim of this research is to analyze the ideal students in practicing muamalah in everyday life both in the classroom and outside the classroom, as we find in the current era the morale of students is experiencing a decline, and here we can find out the relevance of Habib Abdillah's thoughts bin Alawi al Haddad in the book of adabu sulukil pupil, this research uses a literature review or library research. This research covers how Habib abdillah bin alawi al haddad thinks about ideal students and educational methods in the book of adabu sulukil pupil, which is really needed for improve the morality of students to become good individuals and have good morals so that one of the goals of learning is achieved. The results of this research show that an ideal student is a form of education discovered by Habib Abdullah bin Alawi al-Haddad which can be said to be very practical. And guided by the Koran and Al Hadith.

Abstract

Teaching Arabic to students aged 6-8 years at Maktab Ibnu Khaldun Islamic School presents significant challenges, including disparities in students' language skills and the extended teaching duration required to achieve desired listening and speaking proficiencies. This study aims to evaluate the effectiveness of a repetitive method implemented through an interactive application in enhancing Arabic language skills, particularly in listening and speaking aspects. Utilizing a time series design, 26 students participated in a 4-week learning program using an interactive application that employed the repetitive method. Application usage data and listening comprehension scores were automatically collected during application use, while speaking abilities were assessed through direct observation during face-to-face meetings. Descriptive analysis and multiple linear regression were employed to evaluate the impact of application usage duration and frequency on language abilities, specifically listening and speaking skills. Results demonstrated a significant improvement in both listening and speaking abilities over the 4-week period. The frequency of application usage showed a more significant positive influence than duration, particularly for speaking skills development. This study suggests that integrating repetitive methods through interactive applications can effectively enhance Arabic language learning for young students, potentially transforming Arabic teaching paradigms in Islamic schools and paving the way for more innovative learning methods.

Abstract

Computer Based Test (CBT) learning assessment at Sejahtera Vocational School has been carried out since 2016 until now. The aim of this research is to determine the results of the evaluation of the implementation of the Computer Based Test (CBT) learning assessment program in improving school quality at SMK Sejahtera Jakarta using the CIPP (Context, Input, Process, Product) model. This research uses a qualitative method with a descriptive evaluative approach. The research was carried out at Sejahtera Vocational School, North Jakarta. The subjects and data sources in this research are the Principal, Deputy Principal, IT Technician, Laboratory Assistant, Teachers and Students. The data collection techniques used were observation, interviews and documentation. The data analysis technique uses the Miles and Huberman model which analyzes data before and during the field through data reduction, data presentation and drawing conclusions. The research results show: 1) Evaluation of the context of CBT implementation indicates that there is a strong legal basis and objectives that are in line with the needs of students and schools. 2) Evaluation of inputs shows that planning, schedules, mechanisms, facilities, infrastructure, human resources and financing have gone well, although improvements to facilities and infrastructure are needed, as well as budget clarity. 3) Process evaluation shows that program implementation has gone according to plan, although there are several technical obstacles that can be overcome. 4) Product evaluation shows the success of the program with suitability between targets and results, as well as ongoing evaluation. This CBT program makes it easier for teachers and students to carry out work and corrections, so it should be continued and implemented in other places to improve the quality of education.

Abstract

This study aims to identify the factors causing anxiety among elementary school students during exams, as well as the solutions provided by teachers. The research was conducted at SDN Jaka Mulya III, involving 25 fourth-grade students. Data were collected through observations, in- depth interviews with students, teachers, and parents, and analysis of students' exam results. The findings revealed that parental pressure was the dominant factor contributing to anxiety, followed by insufficient study preparation, negative perceptions of exams, a competitive classroom environment, and a lack of emotional support. The teacher's solutions included communicative approaches with parents, structured study guidance, relaxation techniques, and creating a collaborative learning environment. This study concludes that addressing student anxiety requires collaboration between teachers, parents, and students.

Abstract

Problems with students' attitudes and moral decadence are increasingly common, making it necessary to optimize character education from an early age. One way that can be done is to implement the Pancasila Student Profile values. This research analyzes the implementation of the internalization of Pancasila Student Profile values ​​among students at SD Al Islam Pengkol, Jepara, using a descriptive qualitative approach. The main objective is to describe various strategies for internalizing Pancasila values ​​in the context of Islamic education. Data obtained through interviews, observation, and documentation analysis, shows that the values ​​of Pancasila—including the dimensions of Faith, Global Diversity, Mutual Cooperation, Independence, Critical Reasoning, and Creativity—can be internalized well in the school. Although there are obstacles from student background and parental understanding, schools have taken innovative steps to overcome this problem, such as teacher training and strengthening communication with parents. These findings indicate that the integration of Pancasila values ​​with an Islamic perspective makes a significant contribution to the formation of student character, creating individuals who are moral, responsible and able to contribute positively to society. It is hoped that this research can become a reference for the practice of character education in elementary schools.

Abstract

The research aimed at learning motivation, interest in learning and self-confidence as having a significant influence on student learning outcomes, moderated by the cognitive abilities of South Kalimantan Police SPN Non-Commissioned Officer students. This research is survey research. The population of this study was 167 students who graduated from National Police Non-Commissioned Officers Batch 1 of 2023 from SPN Polda South Kalimantan. The sample in the study was taken as much as 25% of the population, so that a sample of 41.74 was rounded up to 42 people. Data analysis in research uses SMART PLS. The results of the research show that Learning Motivation, Interest in Learning and Self-Confidence have a significant influence on the Learning Outcomes of National Police Non-Commissioned Officer students at SPN Polda South Kalimantan. Apart from that, the research also found that Learning Motivation, Interest in Learning and Self-Confidence have a significant influence on Learning Outcomes, moderated by the Cognitive Ability of South Kalimantan Police SPN Non-Commissioned Officer students.

Abstract

Memorizing the Qur'an is not just memorizing, but being able to maintain the memorization that is owned. Nowadays, many memorizers of the Qur'an only memorize without maintaining their memorization. From here, the importance of strong memorization that must be possessed by a memorizer of the Qur'an. This study aims to identify the tasmi' method in strengthening memorization of the Qur'an at the Griya Fadhilah Al-Qur'an Foundation and to determine the supporting and inhibiting factors in strengthening memorization. This study uses a descriptive qualitative method with a field approach. Data were collected through direct observation at the Griya Fadhilah Al-Qur'an Foundation located at Jl. Amaliun No. 187, Kota Matsum II, Medan Area District, Medan City, North Sumatra and interviews with 7 informants including the leader, head of the Foundation, 2 female teachers and 3 female students. The results of the study showed that the application of the tasmi' method in strengthening the memorization of female students at Griya Fadhilah Al-Qur'an was carried out in three ways, namely tasmi' increasing juz, monthly exams, tasmi' multiples of 5 juz. The supporting factors for the application of the tasmi' method in strengthening memorization at the Griya Fadhilah Al-Qur'an Foundation are the existence of coaching from qualified teachers, self-motivation and those closest to them, a conducive and supportive environment, while the inhibiting factors are laziness, lack of time management, and lack of self-confidence.

Abstract

Education is the foundation of nation development which is crucial in improving the quality of human resources (HR) and competitiveness in the era of globalization. This research compares the education systems of Indonesia and Singapore, which have significant differences in policies and outcomes. The method used is a literature study to analyze the challenges and advantages of the two systems. The research results show that Singapore has a structured and efficient education system, with a focus on the STEM curriculum and developing teacher quality. On the other hand, Indonesia faces the challenges of unequal access, disparities in quality between regions, and a curriculum that is less relevant. This research suggests the need for education reform in Indonesia by adopting best practices from Singapore, including improving teacher selection and training as well as infrastructure investment. Collaboration between government, educators and society is very important to realize quality and equitable education.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the relationship between academic stress and mental health in university students. Academic stress is often a factor that affects mental health, especially in students who face pressure in academic achievement. This study used descriptive and inferential quantitative approaches with a simple correlation method. A total of 100 active students are currently studying at universities in Indonesia. Data were collected through an online survey google form that measures the level of academic stress and mental health, and distributed through social media and then analyzed using the classical assumption test, Pearson correlation test, and hypothesis testing. The results showed that there is a significant negative relationship between academic stress and students' mental health (r = -0.440, p < 0.01), which means that the higher the academic stress, the worse the mental health condition of students. To meet statistical assumptions, the data underwent linear transformation, which clarified the relationship between the two variables. Although this study went well, there were some limitations, such as the unbalanced number of subjects between genders. Therefore, it is recommended that future studies consider sample balance as well as using longitudinal methods to strengthen the findings. This study makes an important contribution to efforts to improve students' mental health through better academic stress management.
