EduInovasi: Journal of Basic Educational Studies is a journal published in the Study Program of Madrasah Ibtidaiyah Teacher Education, Faculty of Tarbiyah, the  Islamic Institute of Laa Roiba Bogor. This journal is published twice a year in February and Agust. Furthermore, this journal is published in two versions, namely print and online. The focus of this journal contains articles on research on Madrasah Ibtidaiyah Teacher Education / Primary / MI / SD Teacher Education, such as competency analysis, learning strategies, learning theory, learning development, educator professionalism, and research results. Reviewers will review any submitted paper. The Journal kindly invites scientists, scholars, professionals, and researchers in the form of the contribution with articles to be published and disseminated through: the selection mechanism of the article, criticized by reviewer, and the editing process. Abstract

The issue in this research is framed by students' low motivation to learn English and slow progress in speaking the language. This study aims to determine if using local wisdom-based reading materials affects students' motivation to learn English and their speaking ability because changes are needed to improve their ability. Data collection tools use questionnaires and tests. Data analysis uses SPSS 24 statistics. This type of research is Quasi Experimental with a Nonequivalent Control Group Design. There are two classes for the sample, namely: experimental class and control class. Analysis tests carried out; descriptive test, paired T test. The respondents were 8th graders of SMP Kartini 1 Batam in academic year 2023/2024, totaling 40 students as the population and sample. The research results show that: (1) The results of descriptive tests in the experimental class show that reading material based on local wisdom can motivate students' English learning. The results of the paired T-test show that there is a significant difference on students’ learning motivation in the experimental class compared to the control class. (2) The results of descriptive tests in the experimental class show that reading material based on local wisdom can improve students' speaking skills. The results of the paired T-test showed a significant difference between the speaking skills of students in the experimental class and in the control class. The results show, there is a positive and significant influence of using Local Wisdom-Based Reading Materials to students' motivation in learning English and students' speaking skills.

Abstract

This research aims to determine the effect of three-dimensional visual media on mathematics learning outcomes in the volume of cubes and blocks for class V SD Negeri 060877 Medan. The type of research is quantitative research with quasi-experimental methods. The population in the study was all fifth grade students with a total of 45 students. The sample for this research was class VA totaling 22 students as the experimental class and class VB totaling 23 students as the control class. The data collection technique uses a mathematics learning outcomes test. The data analysis technique used is data description, trend testing, requirements testing, and hypothesis testing using the t-test. Based on the results of the t-test, there is a positive and significant influence on three-dimensional visual media on mathematics learning outcomes in the material volume of cubes and blocks for class V SD Negeri 060877 Medan with a value (tcount>ttable) namely (14.33>1.67) on significance level 5 percent. This means that three-dimensional visual media can influence mathematics learning outcomes in the volume of cubes and blocks.

Abstract

Acne is a chronic inflammatory disease caused by Staphylococcus epidermidis. Papaya leaves (Carica papaya L.) contain antibacterial substances, namely alkaloids carpaine, flavonoids, tocophenols. Of this study was to determine the physical quality of liquid soap, increasing antibacterial activity. Papaya leaves were extracted with 96% ethanol solvent, then evaporated with a water bath. Antibacterial activity test using the disc diffusion method in concentrations of 5%, 15% and 25% and liquid soap will be made F0 0%, F1 5%, F2 10%, and F3 25% against Staphylococcus epidermidis ATCC 12238. Amoxicillin tab as a positive control and distilled water as a negative control. Bacterial activity appears a clear zone around the disc paper. And see the physical quality test according to the requirements. The results of the bacterial test data are made in table form, and analyzed using the SPSS method Formula with the addition of papaya leaf extract can be made and according to the physical quality conditions of liquid soap. The results of the 25% concentration extract test are an inhibition zone of 20.8 mm, the highest liquid soap formula is an inhibition zone of 23.8 mm in inhibiting the growth of Staphylococcus epidermidis ATCC 12238. Liquid soap preparations and papaya leaf extract have antibacterial activity against Staphylococcus epidermidis ATCC 12238 bacteria and according to the physical quality requirements of liquid soap.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to know and examine the role of the principal in developing student character in Darunnajah Islamic Boarding School. The method in this study is using comprehensive qualitative data, interviews, observations, and document analysis are used as research methods. As a spiritual leader, the principal at Darunnajah Islamic Boarding School plays a very important role. In addition to coordinating religious activities, they also serve as spiritual and moral role models for students. The headmaster also plays an active role in the formulation of a comprehensive character development program that covers spiritual, moral, and ethical dimensions. It also reveals the importance of collaboration between principals, educators, and parents in the process of developing student character. And also Creating an educational environment that fosters the moral and spiritual growth of students requires minimal open dialogue and cooperation in the process of designing a curriculum with character.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the impact of the Al-Qur'an memorization program at SD Miftahussa'adah on the self-discipline of 4th-grade students as part of the Pancasila Student Profile. The research employs a qualitative approach with a descriptive method, involving observations, interviews with the principal and teachers, and documentation. The findings reveal that the structured and routine tahfidz program positively affects student discipline, including aspects of punctuality, consistency in memorization, and personal time management. The discussion highlights that tahfidz activities not only enhance memorization skills but also strengthen students' discipline, supporting the Merdeka Curriculum's goal of character development. The conclusion of the study is that the tahfidz program is effective in developing students' discipline. Recommendations include improving teaching methods, providing additional training for teachers, and conducting regular evaluations of the program to enhance its effectiveness in supporting the Pancasila Student Profile.

Abstract

Efforts to Improve Initial Counting Skills in Children Aged 5-6 Years Through the Use of Stick Pouch Media at TK Nusantara Plus School Bekasi" (2024). Thesis. Bekasi: Universitas Panca Sakti Bekasi, 2024. This study aims to determine the improvement in initial counting skills in children aged 5-6 years through the use of stick pouch media at TK Nusantara Plus School Bekasi. The research uses classroom action research methods, focusing on classroom situations, known as classroom action research. This method involves interaction, communication, collaboration, and participation between researchers and target groups to continuously improve learning. The study was conducted in two cycles to observe the improvement in initial counting skills through the use of stick pouch media, with each cycle consisting of planning, action implementation, observation, and reflection. The subjects of the study were 10 children aged 5-6 years from group B2, consisting of 5 boys and 5 girls, at TK Nusantara Plus School Bekasi. The results showed that the students' counting skills increased from 49.3% in the pre-cycle to 58.7% in cycle I and 85% in cycle II. This indicates that the stick pouch media can be applied to improve the initial counting skills of children aged 5-6 years at TK Nusantara Plus School Bekasi. The results of this study suggest that the method of enhancing initial counting skills using stick pouch media can be successful and meet the completion threshold of 75%.

Abstract

Students frequently react negatively when encounter writing lessons and assignments. This happens because writing is one of the most difficult productive skills in English. The lack of innovative and interesting learning media also causes students to be passive and demotivated when learning to write. In the present day, there are many digital writing platforms that can be utilized as learning media to facilitate writing activities. One of them is Wattpad. Therefore, this study aims to explore how Wattpad as digital learning media helps accelerated students in writing narrative texts and describe their narrative writing texts after using Wattpad. Wattpad is one of the biggest online writing platforms that can be used as a learning tool, with a variety of useful features. This study used the qualitative method and was addressed to 31 accelerated students in junior high school. The data collected from observation and documents were analyzed using the Miles and Huberman analysis model. The findings revealed that Wattpad was able to assist accelerated students in writing narrative text by providing them with the platform’s easy access, many reading sources, versatile writing features, and user-interaction features. Furthermore, the accelerated students' narrative writing texts after using Wattpad were diverse in terms of writing levels, reflecting their creativity and narrative writing abilities.

Abstract

يشرك معلمو اللغة العربية أشياء كثيرة في عملية التعلم، وهم معلمو اللغة العربية كميسرين ومدربين ومدرسين ومواد تعليمية ومحفزين ونماذج يحتذى بها للطلاب والمقيمين (الاختبارات) ومقدمي المهام. كثيرًا ما يواجه الطلاب عقبات وصعوبات في تعلم اللغة العربية، بما في ذلك قراءتها وفهمها. واستنادًا إلى النظرية التي تنص على أن العاطفة أو الولع تعني "السعادة الشديدة" في القاموس الإندونيسي الكبير، فإن كلمة "اهتمام" تعني الإعجاب بشيء ما. ولهذا السبب لا يهتم العديد من الطلاب بتعلم اللغة العربية. الغرض من هذا البحث هو معرفة وتحليل حماس طلاب الصف الثامن MTS TPI Basilam في تعلم اللغة العربية لمعرفة الأساليب المستخدمة في تعلم المفردات والحديثات، وكذلك جهود المعلم لزيادة الاهتمام بتعلم اللغة العربية في الصف الثامن. الطلاب هذا البحث هو بحث نوعي ذو منهج وصفي. لذا فإن هؤلاء الطلاب في المتوسط ​​يحبونها تقريبًا، ولكن لا يزال هناك بعض الطلاب الذين لا يحبونها أو يفهمونها أو يهتمون بها.

Abstract

Artificial Intelligence (AI) technology has revolutionized various fields, including Islamic education, by offering new opportunities to enhance the teaching methods of the Qur'an and Hadith. This article explores how AI can optimize the learning of the Qur'an and Hadith by introducing innovations in teaching methods, as well as identifying the associated challenges and benefits. The main focus is on practical steps to integrate AI harmoniously with religious values, emphasizing the importance of continuous evaluation, feedback from students and educators, and collaboration between educational institutions and training centers. With this approach, AI technology can become an effective tool in supporting holistic and inclusive Islamic education.

Abstract

Religious culture, namely attitudes and behavior that are obedient in implementing the teachings of the religion one adheres to, tolerance towards parties with different understanding and beliefs, and living in harmony with people of other religions. The research aims to determine the model of student cultural implementation in Giwangan state elementary schools. The research uses qualitative methods and a descriptive approarch. In this research, the data collection techniques used interview, documentation and obsevation techniques. The reserch subjects were for people consisting of the school principal, two Islamic religious educations teachers, and student. Determining subjects used purposive sampling , while data analysis techniques used data collection, data reduction, data presentation, and data conclusion. Based on the research results, it found that teachers create a religious cultural climate through activities to increase hablumminallah in quality and quantity, as well as making the school a religious institution. In addition, there are methods used in the strategy of cultivating religious culture at Giwangan State Elementary School including: knowing, living and religious ativities. Knowing is a method of cultivating religious culture by providing mastery of material on noble moral values. This is implemented by teachers by providing advice and reminding students continuously.
