Abstract

Abstract

ARFF services are vital for aviation safety, but traditional trainers struggle with fuel efficiency and environmental regulations. This study aims to develop a Fuel Distribution Controller for ARFF trainers to enhance fuel efficiency and compliance. The goal is to improve training while reducing operational costs. Borg and Gall's Research and Development (R&D) model is the foundational framework in this study. This R&D model typically comprises ten essential steps, but for this research, these steps are streamlined into three central stages: preliminary study, research development, and Validation. These stages collectively guide a methodical and structured research process, commencing with comprehensive preliminary investigations, progressing to developing a research solution, and concluding with a validation phase to ascertain the innovation's effectiveness. Professional insights from Politeknik Penerbangan Palembang inform the development of the Fuel Distribution Controller for the ARFF Trainer, aiming to improve practical aircraft firefighting training. This innovation enhances fuel efficiency, reduces environmental impact, and minimizes operational costs. The revamped system simplifies operations and provides a cost-effective, user-friendly learning experience. This achievement, verified by experts and users, holds significant promise for aircraft firefighting training and education

Abstract

The tourism sector has a large contribution in increasing state and regional income. Therefore, it is important to make efforts to develop tourism in Indonesia. Water Blow Nusa Dua is one of the tourist destinations on the island of Bali which has a unique attraction and can be visited by tourists. One effort that can be made to increase the number of visits is through digital tourism by utilizing technology as a promotional medium. This research aims to find out government policies, strategies and decisions in developing internet-based tourism (digital tourism) using tourism website data, internet reviews about tourism, and social networks related to the Water Blow Nusa Dua Bali tourism. The qualitative method used in the research is an internal factor evaluation (IFE) and external factor evaluation (EFE) matrix with SWOT analysis by reviewing internal factors (strengths and weaknesses) and external factors (opportunities and threats) which are taken into consideration in developing digital tourism in Water Blow Nusa Dua. The results of this research found that tourism promotion through digital tourism using the internet is still not optimally carried out by the Badung Regency government so it is necessary to increase promotion through social media. This research can be used as recommendation material for the government or related parties in determining the direction of digital tourism development

Abstract

Prose appreciation is a mandatory course taken by prospective primary school teacher education students in the first semester with a load of 2 credits. This research was carried out to develop Prose Appreciation teaching materials based on an experiential learning approach and to determine the validity and practicality of Prose Appreciation teaching materials based on an experiential learning approach. This research uses an R&D (research and development) approach, namely the Dick and Carey model. The data collection techniques used were interviews and questionnaires. Data analysis techniques used were interviews and questionnaires conducted qualitatively and quantitatively. The research results show that the Prose Appreciation teaching lesson based on the Experiential Learning approach is valid and practical for use in lectures. The linguistic validation results show that the Prose Appreciation teaching material is very valid for use with a score of 0.89. The validation results of the presentation and graphics obtained a figure of 0.77 in the valid category. Meanwhile, the content/material expert assessment obtained a figure of 0.87, which is in the valid category. Furthermore, the small group trial showed that the Prose Appreciation teaching material was practical to use and the large group trial showed that the Prose Appreciation teaching material was very practical to use.

Abstract

The Dangerous Goods course is a compulsory course followed by cadets of the Diploma 3 Airport Management study program. Providing Dangerous Goods material aims to discover how to handle and pack dangerous goods under predetermined regulations, not to endanger flight safety and security. However, the cadets felt that the Dangerous Goods course was challenging due to the lack of modules and difficulty understanding the very thick Dangerous Goods book. Problem-based learning used in this study was chosen because this learning model trains the Critical Thinking skills possessed by cadets under the Dangerous Goods course material, which requires a lot of practice. This research method uses the ADDIE (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation) research and development approach, which is a research method used to produce specific products and test the effectiveness of these products. The subjects of this study were 48 cadets of Palembang Aviation Polytechnic cadets who managed the airport. Researchers conduct research first to collect the data needed, then system development is carried out, and the system is tested and evaluated. This study showed that the results of media expert validation were obtained by 90.% with valid categories and material expert validation results by 91.% with valid categories. Based on the validity and product effectiveness results, problem-based learning e-modules on the developed Dangerous Goods material are valid and effectively used by teachers and students in the learning process.

Abstract

This study raises the question of what resources are best suited to help students develop their civic literacy and acquire optimal knowledge about their nationality through citizenship education. The research's goal is to gather the information required for citizenship education so that students can learn as much as possible about their nationality.  This study used an exploratory survey strategy in conjunction with a quantitative research method. The sample size was 60 individuals, comprising 10 lecturers and 50 students. The inclusion criteria for students are those who have completed the Citizenship Education course so that students can provide responses based on their experience of attending lectures in nine different study programs at the Faculty of Teacher Training and Education, PGRI University Palembang. Based on research findings, 92% of teachers and students believe that the analysis of national e-book creation demands meets the Very Good standard. The findings of this research support the assumption that to increase student citizenship literacy, lecturers and students at PGRI Palembang University really need Nationality E-Books.
