Abstract

The implementation of e-Budgeting in Bandung Regency has had a significant positive impact on improving transparency, accountability, and the effectiveness of local financial management. This digital system allows the public to easily access budget information through official government platforms, thereby strengthening the oversight role of both the public and formal institutions. Additionally, data integration within e-Budgeting improves the accuracy of budget preparation, accelerates synchronization among local government agencies, and supports the implementation of audit trails as internal control mechanisms. From a good governance perspective, e-Budgeting serves as a crucial foundation for strengthening performance-based governance that is more open and responsive. Nevertheless, challenges such as low digital literacy among government officials, limited IT infrastructure, and the public’s limited understanding of budget information remain obstacles that must be addressed. Efforts to enhance human resource capacity and improve technological support are key to optimizing the system in the future. Overall, the implementation of e-Budgeting in Bandung Regency has brought about a transformation in budget management toward a system that is more transparent, efficient, and integrity-driven.

Abstract

This study aims to investigate the effectiveness of the Question-Answer Relationship (QAR) strategy on students’ reading comprehension of recount texts among eighth grade students at an Islamic junior high school in Surabaya in the academic year of 2025/2026. The study focused on examining students’ improvement in reading comprehension after the implementation of the QAR strategy. Pre-tests and post-tests were administered to measure students’ performance before and after the treatment. The data were analyzed using SPSS, and since the data were not normally distributed, the Wilcoxon Signed Ranks Test was used as the hypothesis test. Effect size analysis was also conducted to determine the strength of the treatment effect. The results showed that there was a significant improvement in students’ reading comprehension after the implementation of the QAR strategy, as indicated by the Wilcoxon Signed Ranks Test (Z = −3.224, p = 0.001 < 0.05). The mean score increased from 69.50 in the pre-test to 76.17 in the post-test, indicating a gain of 6.67 points. Furthermore, the effect size result (r = 0.588) indicated a large effect, suggesting that the QAR strategy had a strong impact on students’ reading comprehension. In conclusion, the QAR strategy is effective in improving students’ reading comprehension of recount texts. Therefore, it can be used as an effective alternative strategy in teaching reading. Future researchers are encouraged to apply the QAR strategy in different contexts or text types, while teachers are recommended to implement this strategy to enhance students’ understanding of reading materials.

Abstract

Karakteristik perusahaan startup yang dinamis dan bertempo cepat sering kali memicu budaya always-on, di mana karyawan dituntut untuk selalu merespons komunikasi secara instan. Pola komunikasi sinkronus yang berlebihan ini berpotensi menurunkan fokus kerja dan memicu stres. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengeksplorasi peran komunikasi asinkronus (komunikasi yang tidak memerlukan respons seketika) dalam menjaga produktivitas kerja sekaligus kesejahteraan (well-being) karyawan startup. Menggunakan metode kualitatif deskriptif dengan pendekatan studi kasus, data dikumpulkan melalui wawancara mendalam terhadap delapan karyawan dari berbagai startup teknologi di Indonesia. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penerapan komunikasi asinkronus yang terstruktur memberikan ruang bagi karyawan untuk melakukan deep work, mengurangi interupsi, dan menciptakan batasan yang sehat antara waktu kerja dan pribadi. Keberhasilan sistem ini sangat bergantung pada dokumentasi yang jelas, kejelasan konteks pesan, dan komitmen budaya organisasi. Penelitian ini menyimpulkan bahwa komunikasi asinkronus bukan sekadar alat teknis, melainkan strategi kultural yang krusial bagi keberlanjutan performa startup modern

Abstract

This article examines elite classes as arenas for the construction and reproduction of social differentiation among students at Madrasah Tsanawiyah Negeri 1 Banyumas through the perspective of the sociology of educational institutions. The main claim is that elite classes potentially create social differentiation by forming academic hierarchies, symbols of prestige, and social distance within the madrasah environment. Using a qualitative field research design with a case study approach, primary data were collected through observation, interviews with teachers, elite class students, non-elite students, and the school principal, as well as documentation of institutional policies. The findings confirm three dimensions of evidence: elite classes receive greater access to facilities and academic attention; the elite label constructs perceptions of superiority among students; and non-elite students experience feelings of inferiority and diminished academic self-confidence. The article argues that elite class systems function not merely as administrative tools for academic grouping, but as social mechanisms that reproduce stratification and inequality within Islamic educational institutions. Findings enrich discussions in the sociology of Islamic education in Indonesia and offer recommendations for more equitable institutional governance.

Abstract

This research is motivated by the importance of spare part procurement in supporting the smooth operation of ships at PT Pertamina International Shipping. In the procurement process, the company uses the Ship Manager DNV system to support the request, approval, and procurement of ship spare parts. This study aims to determine the implementation of spare part procurement through Ship Manager DNV, the obstacles encountered, and the efforts made by the company to overcome these obstacles. Data collection methods were carried out through field observations, interviews with Fleet Technical Performance (FTP), Fleet Financial Performance (FFP), and ship crews, as well as documentation studies related to the spare part procurement process during the period of December 2024 to February 2025. Data analysis techniques used data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. The results of the study indicate that the use of Ship Manager DNV helps the company manage the spare part procurement process in a more structured and well-documented manner. However, in its implementation, there are still several obstacles, such as errors in inputting request data and users’ lack of understanding of the system. The efforts made by the company include conducting Digital Talk Ship Manager DNV, system usage training, and improving coordination and rechecking request data by the PJF before further processing.

Abstract

The problems raised in this study are: (1) What are the forms of code-switching and code-mixing used by students of the Indonesian Language Education Study Program in the WhatsApp group? (2) What factors influence the occurrence of code-switching and code-mixing in the group? (3) What are the functions of using code-switching and code-mixing in student communication within the WhatsApp group? The objectives of this study are: (1) To describe the forms of code-switching and code-mixing in student interactions within the WhatsApp group. (2) To analyze the factors causing the use of code-switching and code-mixing in student communication. (3) To explain the social functions of using code-switching and code-mixing in digital academic communication. The method used in this study is a qualitative descriptive method. The data collection techniques employed are non-participant observation, documentation, and interviews. The results of the study show that: (1) the forms of code-switching found include internal, external, and metaphorical code-switching, while the forms of code-mixing include word, phrase, and clause code-mixing, with code-mixing being the most dominant form; (2) the factors causing code-switching and code-mixing include social, situational, linguistic, and digital media factors; (3) the functions of using code-switching and code-mixing include communicative, social, expressive, and identity functions.

Abstract

The transformation of vocational high school education in the digital era has become a strategic demand to meet the needs of Industry 4.0. This research aims to analyse the forms of adaptation and resistance to technology-based learning innovations through field qualitative methods using observation techniques, document analysis, and literature review. Findings at SMK Negeri 1 Kemangkon show that the school community is adapting through the integration of project-based learning and artificial intelligence tools, supported by adequate laboratory infrastructure. The main inhibiting factors include the low digital literacy of students, while resistance appears in the form of decreased focus and complaints about device restrictions. The conclusion of the research emphasises that the transformation of vocational high schools is a sociological dynamic that demands a balance between technological modernisation and the preservation of vocational character values.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the use of Aristotle’s rhetorical strategies, namely ethos, pathos, and logos, in President Prabowo Subianto’s speech entitled “For Too Long, the People Have Only Been Spectators of Their Own Wealth” delivered during the commemoration of Pancasila Day on June 1, 2026. The study employed a qualitative method with a rhetorical analysis approach. The research data consisted of the speech transcript obtained from the speech video published on YouTube. Data were collected through documentation, observation, note-taking, and classification based on the categories of ethos, pathos, and logos. The data were analyzed descriptively by identifying and interpreting rhetorical elements contained in the speech. The findings reveal that the speech incorporates all three Aristotelian rhetorical appeals. Ethos is reflected in Prabowo’s emphasis on his role and responsibility as the President of the Republic of Indonesia and his references to the national figure Sukarno to strengthen the credibility of his message. Pathos is demonstrated through efforts to evoke audience emotions by portraying economic inequality, the condition of people who have not fully benefited from the nation’s natural resources, and concerns for vulnerable social groups. Logos is evident in the rational arguments regarding economic disparities, the use of Article 33 of the 1945 Constitution as a constitutional foundation, and the presentation of government programs as solutions to national economic challenges. The study concludes that the combination of ethos, pathos, and logos is effectively utilized to gain public support for the concept of Pancasila Economy and the national development agenda proposed by President Prabowo Subianto.

Abstract

Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh perilaku berbohong pada siswa SMP Islam Darussalam yang mencerminkan rendahnya integritas dan kontrol diri. Permasalahan ini tidak hanya berkaitan dengan aspek kedisiplinan, tetapi juga menunjukkan adanya gangguan pada psikologis dan spiritual siswa. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengetahui efektivitas Modul Psikoterapi Islam Metode Taubat dengan mengurangi perilaku berbohong pada siswa. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif deskriptif. Subjek penelitian adalah siswa kelas VIII yang di pilih secara random sampling. Teknik pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui observasi, lembar refleksi diri, lembar evaluasi, dan catatan lapangan, kemudian dianalisis menggunakan teknik deskriptif kualitatif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa terjadi peningkatan pemahaman siswa terhadap konsep taubat serta perubahan kesadaran diri yang signifikan. Melalui tahapan i’tiraf, nadam, dan a’zam, siswa mampu mengakui kesalahan, merasakan penyesalan, dan membangun komitmen untuk tidak mengulangi perilaku berbohong. Berdasarkan hal tersebut, psikoterapi islam metode taubat terbukti efektif dalam menumbuhkan motivasi intrinsik dan memperkuat integrasi moral siswa.

Abstract

Digital transformation in public services has encouraged the Indonesian government to introduce various innovations, including the implementation of Digital Population Identity (Identitas Kependudukan Digital/IKD). This policy aims to improve the efficiency of population administration while enhancing the quality of digital-based public services. This study examines the implementation of the IKD policy in improving public service quality in Indonesia and identifies the supporting and inhibiting factors affecting its implementation. The research employs a qualitative descriptive approach through a literature review of academic journals, books, government documents, and other relevant scholarly sources. The findings indicate that IKD contributes to faster identity verification, easier access to public services, improved administrative efficiency, and better integration of population data. Nevertheless, its implementation continues to face several challenges, including limited digital infrastructure, low levels of digital literacy, unequal access to technology across regions, and concerns regarding personal data security. The effectiveness of IKD implementation is largely influenced by infrastructure readiness, human resource capacity, institutional commitment, and public acceptance of digital technology. Therefore, continuous efforts are required to strengthen digital infrastructure, improve digital literacy, and enhance personal data protection in order to maximize the benefits of IKD in creating more effective, efficient, transparent, and integrated public services.
