Abstract

It is important for students to use educational media appropriately in order to achieve successful learning outcomes. According to observations observed at SMP PGRI Buduran, learning media are not used optimally in the classroom despite the school providing a computer with an access to the internet. In order to implement one of the Tri Dharma of Higher Education, the PPM team at PGRI Adi Buana University collaborates with SMP Negeri 1 Buduran Sidoarjo teachers in preparing mathematics learning media by maximizing the powerpoint features. During this activity, the PPM Team used various PowerPoint features to create learning materials, interactive quizzes, and evaluation tools, including the VBA feature, which is still very rarely used. The training was conducted well, and all participants listened and participated enthusiastically.

Abstract

Pandemi COVID-19 meningkatkan bentuk-bentuk malnutrisi seperti defisiensi mikronutrien, dan kelebihan berat badan. Setiap orang butuh meningkatkan daya tahan tubuh dengan mengkonsumsi makanan dengan gizi seimbang. Kandungan gizi baik makro dan mikro yang ada didalam makanan diketahui dapat meningkatkan imunitas tubuh dan mengurangi risiko penyakit karena infeksi dan penyakit kronis Pengetahuan gizi serta penerapannya dalam kehidupan sehari-hari merupakan salah satu faktor yang dapat memengaruhi keadaan gizi seseorang. Pengetahuan merupakankekayaan intelektual yang berperan dalam memperkaya kehidupan seseorang. Setiap pengetahuan yang dimiliki oleh individu diyakini akanmemengaruhi prilaku individu tersebut, dan semakin baik pengetahuan individu tersebut maka akan semakin baik pula perilakunya. Ketika seseorang guru memiliki pengetahuan gizi yang baik, maka hal tersebut akan memengaruhi tindakan mereka dalam pemenuhan kebutuhan gizimelalui konsumsi makanan hariannya. Status gizi guru di SMA Negeri 1 Krembung Kabupaten Sidoarjo rata-rata berstatus gizi baik,namun terdapat beberapa guru yang mengalami masalah kelebihan berat badan dan berat badan kurang. Kelebihan berat badan banyak dialami oleh guru laki-laki, sedangkan pada guru perempuan banyak yang mengalami masalah berat badan kurang. Masalah gizi yang dialami oleh guru di SMA Negeri 1 Krembung Kabupaten Sidoarjo di karenakan kurangnya pengetahuanmengenai penerapan pola makan dengan gizi seimbang.

Abstract

The COVID-19 pandemic does not only affect health but also affects the system of activities in the education aspect. In the implementation of learning, these activities are carried out online. The impact is the need for online learning resources that are easily accessible by students so that learning achievement can still be achieved. One source of learning that can be obtained is by accessing the library online. However, the reality in the field is that not all schools have library databases that are processed using database software so the integration process into online libraries is still difficult to do. SMAN Menganti Gresik is one of the schools experiencing these problems. Based on this, it is necessary to arrange the initial database system owned by the school. Initial database setup is done using Ms. Access. This database arrangement activity is intended as the initial process of creating an online school library. In addition, the arrangement of this database is intended to facilitate the administrative system of activities in the school library. The library database arrangement carried out at Menganti Gresik Senior High School was carried out by making special menus for school visitors, special menus for visitors from outside the school, and special menus for users.

Abstract

The implementation of the Merdeka curriculum is a challenge for educators, especially for English teacher at the Vocational High School (SMK) level. This article describes strategies for preparing learning tools for Merdeka Curriculum 2022 for English Vocational High School subjects in the City of Surabaya for teachers who are the members of the English Subject Teacher Conference (MGMP) in the Surabaya area. The main goal is to provide material on how vocational school teachers should not only be able to understand the Merdeka Curriculum 2022 well, but also be able to create mind map English teaching and learning process. This article uses a qualitative descriptive method with the implementation method in the form of technical guidance. Data were obtained from observations during the implementation of training activities, technical guidance and mind map documents that were made and collected by teachers as participants. This training is also a medium for increasing the ability of 40 participating teachers in making learning tools. The teachers have shown success in making mind map and administration of learning tools properly according to their expertise and professionalism. However, in the future, improvements must be made continuously because the world of education is a world of endless learning.

Abstract

Parents and teachers must be able to prepare their children to study at school in accordance with established regulations, namely following the health protocols recommended by the government. The purpose of this community service is to solve problems for PAUD teachers and parents of students in preparing face-to-face learning preparations. This activity was carried out at LIYA III Kindergarten in Surabaya. The method used by the workshop is. The presenters gave various explanations about the preparations that must be made to carry out face-to-face learning for early childhood so that they feel happy and comfortable learning at school. Through this activity, PAUD teachers gain knowledge and skills in preparing children for face-to-face learning in early childhood. The material provided explains various systems for preparing and motivating early childhood in face-to-face learning at school.

Abstract

Community service through this training activity aims to provide teachers with an understanding of the importance of mental health at SMAN 1 Krembung. This activity was attended by 65 participants from a combination of employees and teachers of SMAN 1 Krembung. The method of implementing the activity includes 4 stages 1). Observation, 2). Implementation of Activities, 3). Activity Achievement, and 4). Evaluation. The training/workshop implementation activities have been carried out well, as can be seen from the enthusiasm of the training participants both during the delivery of training materials and during discussions. The success of the training was also aimed at increasing the average pretest and posttest scores, with a score of 65.5 for the pretest score and 75.5 for the posttest assessor.

Abstract

Coughing is a reflex that is stimulated by irritation of the lungs or respiratory tract. Cough is usually a symptom of an upper respiratory infection (eg colds, flu) where nasal secretions and phlegm stimulate the respiratory tract. Coughing is also a way to keep the airway clear. Self-medication is a community effort to treat itself. Self-medication is usually carried out to treat complaints and minor ailments that many people experience, such as fever, pain, dizziness, cough, influenza, stomach ulcers, worms, diarrhea, skin diseases and others. Self-medication is an alternative that is taken by the community to increase the affordability of treatment. With this program, it is hoped that the community will be able to have more information regarding cough medicine education independently.

Abstract

The use of gadgets that do not meet the needs of children will adversely affect their physical and behavioral development. The problems that arise with partners are that many children use gadgets without knowing the time limit and the lack of supervision from parents in using gadgets. Therefore, socialization and assistance on the impact of using gadgets on parents need to be carried out, so it is hoped that gadgets are only used for positive things for children. This community service activity was carried out in Boyolangu Village. The objectives of this community service are (1) to provide socialization to parents about the impact of using gadgets, (2) to provide assistance to parents to lock applications with negative content and provide guidance, direction, attention to their relatives, especially in the use of gadgets. Implementation of the activities carried out by the method of lectures, question and answer, discussion, and direct practice. Media delivery is in the form of pictures and videos about the negative impact of gadgets, as well as application locking videos. The implementation stages consist of the observation stage, program preparation, implementation, monitoring, and evaluation. Activities can be carried out properly. The results of this service activity are parents are able to understand the positive and negative impacts of continuous use of gadgets, parents can limit their children to play gadgets, and parents can lock applications that contain negative content and can restrict children from downloading games.

Abstract

The pandemic situation that has gradually improved has an impact on the learning process that is carried out offline (outside the network) while still paying attention to the conditions for the implementation of safe learning. As parents and educators, we must begin to prepare psychologically for children. The current situation has gradually returned to normal, so that the teaching and learning process can be carried out optimally, especially for early childhood whose learning must be carried out in a fun way, namely playing while learning, between children and teachers must meet each other directly so that children can experience fun learning. School institutions and teachers are obliged to prepare both infrastructure and mental facilities and no less important is the flow of how to organize learning in accordance with technical guidelines from the government so that learning can take place safely and smoothly. Therefore, high synergy is needed between school institutions, parents and the government. With this service program, it is hoped that the PGPAUD Study Program at PGRI Adi Buana University Surabaya will be able to take part in helping teachers in preparing matters related to face-to-face learning.

Abstract

English is significant for the international community. Most of the Al-Qur'an Education school teachers have not fully mastered English and how to teach it. As part of the nation's generation, teachers and students of the Qur'an Education School must be taught English as an international language. This training aims to teach English to the teachers of Al-Qur’an School and how to teach it to students. This training method uses lectures and practice. The results of English language training and how it is taught are very positive. They are taught how to teach vocabulary and speaking/ conversation. They are very interested and motivated to learn and teach it to the students.
