Abstract

This community service activity aims to improve the human resources (HR) capacity of SMKN 1 Ciruas students in financial management and investment from an early age. Low financial literacy among students often results in an inability to manage personal finances and a lack of understanding of the importance of long-term investment. Through this program, the implementation team provides training in the form of counseling, financial planning simulations, and an introduction to simple investment instruments relevant to students. The methods used include interactive lectures, group discussions, and hands-on practice through case studies of daily financial management. The results of the activity show an increase in students' understanding of basic financial concepts, such as recording income and expenses, budgeting, and the principles of safe saving and investing. In addition, students are able to identify types of investments that suit their beginner risk profiles. This program also encourages the development of discipline and financial awareness from school age. Overall, this community service activity is expected to be the first step in developing a young generation that is financially savvy, independent, and ready to face future economic challenges.

Abstract

Kecamatan Johan Pahlawan adalah daerah tertinggi kasus TB di Aceh Barat yaitu 33 kasus. Hal ini disebabkan oleh kurangnya pengetahuan masyarakat tentang penyakit Tb  paru, rendahnya   kesadaran   masyarakat   untuk mencegah penularan dan pemberantasan penyakit Tb paru. TB paru banyak menyerang usia produktif yakni 15-50 tahun. Tujuan pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini adalah untuk meningkatkan pemahaman masyarakat khususnya remaja tentang pencegahan TB paru. Metode yang digunakan adalah Information and Comunication Tecnology (ICT) dengan menggunakan peralatan berupa laptop, LCD, dan Speaker. Sosialisasi pencegahan TB Paru diberikan kepada kelompok sasaran yang berjumlah 18 orang remaja di Aula Prodi Keperawatan Meulaboh Poltekkes Kemenkes Aceh. Hasil evaluasi menunjukkan bahwa terlihat peningkatan yang signifikan dari hasil test yang dilakukan kepada masyarakat sasaran yaitu dari awalnya hanya 16,7%, namun setelah diberikan sosialisasi meningkat sebanyak 83,3%. Perlu dilakukan tindak lanjut terhadap peningkatan kemampuan remaja dalam perawatan dan pemberantasan TB Paru.

Abstract

Lhok Sari merupakan salah satu desa yang berada di Kecamatan Pante Ceureumen Kabupaten Aceh Barat. Permasalahan kesehatan yang harus segera di desa Lhok Sari adalah masalah hipertensi dengan resiko terjadinya stroke, dimana angka kejadian hipertensi pada tahun 2023 di desa Lhok Sari sebanyak 23 kasus, dan 5 orang mengalami stroke yang diawali dari hipertensi. Kasus hipertensi ini belum juga menujukkan penurunan. Pengabdian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan keberdayaan penderita hipertensi dalam pencegahan stroke melalui penyuluhan pencegahan stroke, senam hipertensi, relaksasi, dan afirmasi sehat. Metode yang digunakan adalah Information and Comunication Tecnology (ICT), Latihan dan simulasi. Pemberdayaan Masyarakat ini diberikan kepada 24 orang lansia dengan hipertensi. Hasil evaluasi menunjukkan bahwa terlihat peningkatan yang signifikan baik dari segi pengetahuan maupun tekanan darah dimana senam hipertensi, teknik relaksasi dan afirmasi positif dapat mengurangi stress dan menurunkan tekanan darah. Perlu dilakukan tindak lanjut terhadap peningkatan keberdayaan Masyarakat dalam pencegahan stroke.

Abstract

Permasalahan sampah di Kota Bekasi meningkat seiring pertumbuhan penduduk dan aktivitas perkotaan. Program Bank Sampah menjadi solusi strategis dalam mendukung pengurangan sampah dari sumbernya. Kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat ini bertujuan memberikan pendampingan tahap awal pembentukan dan penguatan Bank Sampah Maju RW 01 Jaticempaka, Kota Bekasi. Metode pelaksanaan meliputi sosialisasi, edukasi, serta penyusunan mekanisme pengelolaan bank sampah. Hasil kegiatan menunjukkan meningkatnya pemahaman masyarakat terkait pemilahan sampah, mekanisme menabung sampah, serta kesiapan sarana dan prasarana bank sampah. Kegiatan ini menjadi dasar bagi keberlanjutan program pengelolaan sampah berbasis masyarakat di wilayah RW 01 Jaticempaka.

Abstract

Artikel ini bertujuan untuk menunjukkan bahwa wayang kulit berfungsi sebagai media penyebaran Islam di Jawa dan untuk mengungkapkan nilai-nilai keislaman yang terkandung dalam cerita wayang kulit. Wayang kulit telah menjadi bagian integral dalam kehidupan sebagian masyarakat Indonesia, yang dianggap sebagai bentuk seni dengan nilai filosofi berdasarkan kisah-kisahnya. Dalam sejarahnya, para wali menggunakan pendekatan budaya dalam dakwah mereka dan memainkan peran penting dalam perkembangan pewayangan di Indonesia. Penelitian ini berfokus pada beberapa aspek, yaitu hubungan antara kesenian wayang kulit dan Islam, wayang kulit sebagai kearifan lokal di Desa Tegalrejo, dan nilai sosial yang terdapat dalam pagelaran wayang sebagai bagian dari kegiatan bersih desa. Data dikumpulkan melalui observasi partisipatif, wawancara mendalam, serta analisis dokumen terkait seperti arsip sejarah wayangan di Tegalrejo, laporan kegiatan bersih desa, dan dokumentasi relevan lainnya. Analisis data dilakukan melalui identifikasi aset komunitas, pemetaan aset, dan partisipasi masyarakat. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa wayang kulit digunakan oleh Sunan Kalijaga sebagai sarana untuk menyebarkan Islam melalui pendekatan budaya, dengan memilih wayang kulit karena popularitasnya pada masa itu.

Abstract

The Community Service Program (PKM) is motivated by the rapid development of the digital economy, which requires young generations to possess adequate financial literacy so they can plan, manage, and utilize their finances wisely. However, preliminary observations at SMK Negeri 7 Kota Serang indicate that most students have not yet mastered personal financial planning, basic transaction recording, or the use of technology-based financial services. This condition may hinder their readiness to meet the demands of the workforce and entrepreneurship. Therefore, this Community Service initiative aims to improve students’ financial literacy in order to develop superior, independent, and competitive human resources in the financial sector. The methods applied in this program include seminars, training sessions, and hands-on practice. The materials cover the fundamentals of personal financial management, budgeting, saving and investment strategies, as well as the introduction of digital financial technologies such as e-wallets and financial recording applications. The activities were conducted interactively through discussions, simulations, and case studies, involving students from the finance expertise program as the primary participants. Quantitative indicators of success were established, including: a minimum 30% increase in financial literacy scores based on pre-test and post-test results; 80% of participants being able to prepare a simple budget correctly; and 75% being able to independently use digital financial recording applications. The results of the program show a significant improvement in participants’ understanding and skills related to budgeting, transaction recording, and the wise use of digital financial services. Participants also demonstrated more positive attitudes toward saving habits and daily financial management. The outputs of this program include an activity report, video documentation, and publications on online media or community service journals. With improved financial literacy, students are expected to develop financially intelligent character that supports their success both in the workforce and in entrepreneurship. This program serves as a strategic step in preparing younger generations to compete in the era of the creative and digital economy.

Abstract

This community service program was designed to strengthen the English communication abilities of SME business owners in the tourism sites  in Banjar Regency, South Kalimantan. The initiative responds to the limited English skills that often restrict the business owners from delivering quality service to international visitors. The three-day training combined interactive lectures, role-playing activities, and hands-on practice in simulated tourism situations. The program resulted in increased confidence and improved basic English skills among participants, particularly in greeting tourists, giving directions, and describing local attractions.

Abstract

This community service program aims to improve the character values and learning motivation of students at SMK Nurul Huda Baros in Serang City. The activity was conducted based on the findings that students’ academic achievement was affected by low discipline, limited learning awareness, and low motivation to study. The methods used in this program included motivational seminars, character education workshops, group discussions, and mentoring sessions on learning strategies. The results of the activity showed significant positive changes in students’ discipline, participation in learning activities, and motivation to complete academic tasks. Teachers also reported an improvement in the classroom learning atmosphere. Therefore, this program has a strong contribution in fostering positive academic behavior and is recommended to be carried out continuously in collaboration with schools.

Abstract

This community service aims to describe the importance of the role of lecturers in assisting the entrepreneurial practices of students of the Management Study Program. The problems faced by students in entrepreneurial practice include low courage to start a business, weak business planning, limited product creativity, and obstacles in marketing. The method used in this activity is a descriptive qualitative approach with data collection techniques through observation, interviews, and documentation. Service activities are carried out through the stages of entrepreneurship socialization, assistance in the preparation of business ideas and plans, the implementation of business practices, and monitoring and evaluation. The results of the activity show that lecturer assistance has a positive impact on increasing motivation, confidence, creativity, and managerial ability of students in running a business. Students are able to develop products, market independently, and show improvement in soft skills such as communication, teamwork, and responsibility. This activity concluded that the role of lecturers as supervisors, motivators, facilitators, and evaluators greatly determines the success of student entrepreneurial practices. Therefore, lecturer assistance in entrepreneurship practice needs to be strengthened as an applicative learning strategy in producing independent and competitive young entrepreneurs.

Abstract

This community service activity aims to optimize the ability of culinary business actors in the Braga area, Bandung City, in utilizing digital marketing as a strategy to increase business competitiveness. The main problems faced by partners include low digital literacy, limited strategic use of social media, and not optimal use of marketplaces and digital promotional content. The implementation method uses a participatory approach through training, mentoring, direct practice, as well as monitoring and evaluation. Activity partners are micro and small-scale culinary business actors in the Braga area. The results of the activity show that there is an increase in business actors' understanding of the concept of digital marketing, an improvement in the quality of promotional content, the use of social media in a more structured manner, and an increase in the reach of online marketing. This activity proves that targeted and applicable digital marketing training is able to increase the marketing capacity of culinary businesses and support business sustainability in the digital economy era.
