Abstract

This community service aims to assist Dayak rattan craft business actors in Palangka Raya City in improving product quality, business management, and marketing strategies. The main problems faced by partners include the limitations of design innovation, weak financial records, and low utilization of digital marketing. The method used is a descriptive qualitative approach through observation, interviews, training, and direct mentoring. Activities are carried out through the stages of socialization, product and management training, production assistance, marketing, and monitoring and evaluation. The results of the activity show that there is an improvement in product quality, business actors' understanding of simple financial records, and an increase in marketing reach through social media. This activity proves that continuous assistance is able to increase the competitiveness of the Dayak rattan craft business as a regional superior product.

Abstract

This community service activity aims to increase the loyalty of customers of riverside tourism in the Kereng Bangkirai area, Central Kalimantan, through product knowledge education to tourism managers and business actors. The main problem faced is the low understanding of guides and business actors towards information on tourism products, the potential of ecotourism, and the educational value that can be conveyed to tourists. The implementation method uses a participatory approach through socialization, training, service simulation, and direct mentoring. The results of the activity show an increase in tourism actors' understanding of product knowledge, an improvement in the quality of information services to tourists, and the emergence of a tendency to increase customer satisfaction and loyalty. This activity proves that product knowledge education is an important factor in building a meaningful travel experience and encouraging customer loyalty in a sustainable manner.

Abstract

This community service activity took place in Mangga Dua Village. The goal was to increase residents' understanding of and skills in using eco-enzymes, which are processed organic waste products. The program included socialization and explanations on how to make eco-enzymes from household waste. Participants then implemented the eco-enzymes on water spinach plants as a multifunctional liquid fertilizer. Community participation was high, and residents' understanding of eco-enzymes increased significantly, from 25% before the activity to 85% after. In addition to using eco-enzymes as an organic liquid fertilizer, the community learned about their benefits as natural cleaning agents and environmentally friendly disinfectants. Through this activity, the community gained alternative solutions for organic waste management that support sustainable agricultural practices, raise environmental awareness, and open up economic opportunities for the village.

Abstract

This Community Partnership Program (PKM) aims to improve the financial literacy of students at SMK Al-Khaeriyah Pengampelan, Serang City, Banten. The program addresses students’ low understanding of financial planning, cash recording, and simple budgeting, which affects their ability to manage income and expenses effectively. Activities were conducted through socialization, training, simulation, and mentoring. The training covered basic financial literacy concepts, cash management techniques, budgeting procedures, and simple record-keeping using cash books and digital tools. Evaluation was carried out through pre-tests and post-tests to measure learning improvement, supported by observations of students’ practical performance in managing organizational finances. The results showed a significant increase in students’ financial knowledge and skills, especially in managing cash and preparing basic budgets. This program is expected to build students’ independence in financial management and strengthen their readiness to face future challenges in the workplace or entrepreneurship.

Abstract

This descriptive reflective study analyzes the collaborative synergy model of PBI and BK UHAMKA students at SMK Adi Luhur Jakarta. Through PLP documentation and observation, a Holistic Program Integration Model was identified, merging PBI and BK objectives. The model proved effective in enhancing vocational competency (English practice confidence) due to BK’s psychosocial support, while simultaneously improving psychosocial skills (motivation and self-awareness) through PBI’s vocational context. In conclusion, this cross-disciplinary synergy is crucial for comprehensive SMK education.

Abstract

The importance of nutrition education and literacy for teens requires an understanding of functional foods made from local ingredients. Conditions in the field show that the habit of choosing nutritious foods has not been well established, and understanding of foods that support digestive health and immunity is still low. This community service activity aims to increase students' knowledge about the concept of functional foods, probiotics, and the use of podang mangoes as a local ingredient in yoghurt production. The methods included interactive lectures, demonstrations, hands-on practice, and participatory observation-based evaluation. The results showed an increase in students' understanding of functional foods and awareness to choose healthier foods. Practice-based learning also made it easier for students to understand how to make economical and easy-to-process podang mango yoghurt. This activity has the potential to encourage entrepreneurial interest in the development of healthy foods and support food security through the optimization of local commodities

Abstract

Various problems in the household prove that realizing a harmonious family requires the involvement of several parties. Cooperation between parents, the Religious Affairs Office (KUA), and the government is necessary in forming a harmonious, loving, and compassionate family. Community service as a form of the Tri Dharma of Higher Education is correlated with the duties of the District Religious Affairs Office (KUA), namely, providing solutions to marital problems. The purpose of this counseling is to reduce the number of divorces and early marriages in the community, especially in Sooko Village, which are caused by various aspects, including economic factors. Therefore, intensive cooperation between the community and government institutions is needed to realize a harmonious family, especially by strengthening the economy, education, and culture. In the field of economic empowerment, the involvement of the regional government and the East Java provincial government is needed to support capital and job training.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the influence of learning motivation on students learning outcomes at SMK Nurul Huda Baros. The background of this research is based on the phenomenon of declining student enthusiasm for learning amid increasing vocational education demands. In vocational education, learning motivation is an essential factor because it not only affects academic achievement but also determines student’s readiness for work. This research employed a quantitative associative approach with a population consisting of all students of SMK Nurul Huda Baros in the 2025/2026 academic year. A total of 30 students from grade XI were selected as samples using a purposive sampling technique. The independent variable (X) is learning motivation, while the dependent variable (Y) is students learning outcomes. Data were collected through a learning motivation questionnaire and documentation of students report card scores for the 2024/2025 academic year. Data analysis was conducted using simple linear regression to examine the relationship between the two variables. The results of the study indicate that learning motivation has a positive and significant effect on students learning outcomes, with a significance value of 0.000 < 0.05 and a coefficient of determination (R²) of 0.421. This means that 42.1% of the variation in students learning outcomes can be explained by learning motivation, while the remaining 57.9% is influenced by other factors such as teaching methods, school environment, and parental support. The study also found that intrinsic motivation such as curiosity, responsibility, and satisfaction in learning was more dominant in improving student achievement than extrinsic motivation such as praise and rewards. Based on these findings, teachers and schools are encouraged to enhance motivation programs through contextual learning activities, inspirational seminars, and supportive learning environments. This study is expected to serve as a reference for developing learning strategies in vocational schools to improve educational quality and students’ employability.

Abstract

This community service program aims to educate students about the dangers of chemicals in cosmetic products and instill discipline in learning among students at Bandar Lampung Health Vocational School. The use of cosmetics containing hazardous materials such as mercury and hydroquinone is a crucial health issue among adolescents, while discipline in learning is an important foundation in understanding health literacy. Activities are carried out through counseling methods, interactive discussions, and simulations of effective learning strategies (experiential learning). Materials include identifying safe cosmetics, detecting hazardous chemicals, and the application of time management and time blocking in learning. The results of the activity showed a significant increase in students' understanding of cosmetic safety, accompanied by positive changes in disciplined learning behavior. Students were able to practice how to choose safe products and create independent study schedules. The synergy between health materials and the development of disciplined character has proven effective in building awareness, intrinsic motivation, and academic responsibility in students.

Abstract

Dental caries in children remains a significant public health problem in Indonesia, particularly among primary school-aged children. Limited oral health literacy and insufficient involvement of teachers and parents in oral hygiene guidance contribute to the high prevalence of dental caries. This study aimed to enhance children’s oral hygiene knowledge and practices through Training of Trainers (ToT)-based education for teachers and parents within a partnership between the Faculty of Dentistry, Hang Tuah University, and El Rahma Islamic Boarding School, Surabaya. A pretest–posttest design was applied, involving fifth-grade students as research subjects. Teachers and parents received ToT-based training delivered by dental professionals and subsequently provided oral health education to students. Knowledge levels were assessed using questionnaires administered before and after the intervention and analyzed using the Wilcoxon Signed-Rank Test. The results demonstrated a significant increase in students’ mean knowledge scores, from 58.14 ± 21.30 at pretest to 77.21 ± 18.30 at posttest (p < 0.05). In addition, partner satisfaction questionnaires indicated a very high level of satisfaction with the program implementation. In conclusion, ToT-based oral health education involving teachers and parents is effective in improving children’s oral hygiene knowledge and has the potential to promote sustainable oral health behavior changes within the school environment.
