Abstract

The development of digital banking has transformed payment systems, particularly through the implementation of cashless transactions. Banking management plays an important role in ensuring efficiency, service quality, and transaction security in digital payment systems. One of the widely used digital payment instruments in Indonesia is the Quick Response Code Indonesian Standard (QRIS). Bank Central Asia (BCA), as a national private bank, provides QRIS services integrated with mobile banking applications. This community service activity aims to improve public understanding of banking management implementation through the use of QRIS BCA as an object of study. The methods used include socialization, practical assistance, and interactive discussions. The results show an increase in public awareness of operational efficiency, service management, and risk control in cashless transactions. This activity is educational and independent in nature and does not represent the official policy of PT Bank Central Asia Tbk.

Abstract

The increasing prevalence of gout in Indonesia, particularly among the elderly, emphasizes the importance of community-based education and early detection. This community service activity aimed to improve the knowledge of residents of Kambu Village regarding gout, including its risk factors, clinical symptoms, and preventive measures. The program was conducted by the Pharmacy Profession Study Program of Halu Oleo University in collaboration with the UHO Educational Pharmacy and Mokoau Community Health Center during November–December 2025. The methods applied included pre-test, health education sessions, leaflet distribution, interactive discussions, post-test, and free examinations of blood pressure and uric acid levels. A total of 43 participants were involved. The results indicated a significant improvement in participants’ knowledge, as reflected by an increase in correct response rates from 59% in the pre-test to 98% in the post-test. This activity is expected to contribute to gout prevention and improvement of community health outcomes.

Abstract

The utilization of inorganic waste such as plastic jars and organic waste such as areca palm fronds has not yet been optimized. This study aims to explore the wrapping technique using areca palm fronds as a covering material for used plastic jars in order to create storage containers with aesthetic and functional value. The method employed in this study is a formal experimental approach, which includes material preparation, softening the areca palm fronds, combing the fronds into string-like fibers, cutting the used jars to the required size, and applying the wrapping process. The results indicate that areca palm fronds possess a unique natural texture capable of transforming used plastic jars into decorative products with higher aesthetic appeal and economic value. These findings demonstrate that the combination of organic and inorganic waste materials can contribute to sustainable and value-added recycled products (Ayu, 2021; Sukarsih, 2020).

Abstract

Hypertension is a major public health problem that requires long-term management and high patient adherence, which remains a challenge at the primary health care level. This community service activity aimed to strengthen digital health literacy to improve hypertension management adherence among the community at Puskesmas Wua-Wua. The activity was conducted using a digital-based health education approach through direct counseling, distribution of educational leaflets equipped with QR codes, and evaluation using a comprehension questionnaire. The educational media contained information on hypertension management, medication adherence, and healthy lifestyle practices. The results showed that all participants positively accepted the digital literacy-based leaflet and perceived it as useful, easy to understand, and relevant to their needs. This activity indicates that integrating printed and digital educational media can effectively support hypertension management and strengthen promotive and preventive efforts in primary health care settings

Abstract

The management of cooperation documents in higher education institutions requires efficiency, accuracy, and ease of access. However, at the Office of Institutional Advancement (OIA) of Wira Wacana Christian University Sumba, the process of preparing legal documents such as MoU, IA, and PKS is still carried out manually. This condition causes high workloads, the risk of input errors, and difficulty updating documents that are repetitive. To answer these problems, an automation system based on PHP and SQLite was developed that allows users to generate documents instantly through filling in document numbers and selecting partners and implementers. Google Apps Script is also used to deploy cooperation data to the relevant unit Spreadsheet automatically without manual intervention. The system is built with a simple waterfall approach: needs analysis, form generator design, and data automation script integration. The test results showed a reduction in document creation time of up to 70% and a reduction in input errors. In conclusion, this system is able to increase the efficiency, accuracy, and responsiveness of cooperation administration at OIA Wira Wacana Christian University Sumba.

Abstract

Sidewalk construction is an essential component of urban infrastructure development that supports pedestrian safety, comfort, and accessibility. However, in practice, discrepancies are often found between the installed work volumes and the planned calculations, mainly due to limited technical understanding, insufficient accuracy in field measurements, and a lack of technical assistance. These conditions may lead to quality issues, cost overruns, and disputes during project implementation. This Community Service activity aims to provide technical assistance to partners in measuring and verifying sidewalk construction volumes so that the execution process becomes more accurate, transparent, and compliant with applicable technical standards. The implementation methods include delivering basic material on construction volume measurement, conducting hands-on field measurement practices, and facilitating discussions and evaluations of the measurement results in a participatory manner. Through this activity, partners are expected to improve their understanding and skills in properly measuring sidewalk construction volumes, thereby minimizing calculation errors and enhancing the quality and sustainability of construction work control.

Abstract

Pada dunia hiburan dan acara, sound sistem memainkan peran penting dalam menciptakan suasana yang diinginkan. Baik untuk acara pernikahan, konser, seminar, atau pesta ulang tahun, kualitas suara yang baik dapat meningkatkan pengalaman semua orang yang hadir. Melihat kebutuhan yang terus meningkat akan layanan ini, usaha sewa sound sistem menjadi peluang bisnis yang menjanjikan. Namun para pelaku usaha ini masih mengabaikan mengenai pencatatan hasil usahanya baik penerimaan dan pengeluaran. Usaha sound system memerlukan pengelolaan keuangan yang baik untuk mengelola biaya pemeliharan, pengeluaran rutin dan investasi alat. Untuk mengatasi permasalahan tersebut maka dilaksanakan kegiatan Pengabdian Bagi Masyarakat  yang memberikan  memberikan penyuluhan mengenai pentingnya pembukuan bagi pelaku usaha untuk memberikan wacana mengenai manfaat adanya pembukuan secara sederhana Buku Kas atas semua kegiatan operasional usahanya. Hasil yang diharapkan dari kegiatan ini adalah pelaku usaha penyewaan sound system mampu secara rutin melakukan pembukuan baik dengan menggunakan buku kas ataupun alat pencatatan yang lainnya. Serta memiliki pemahaman pentingnya pencatatan usahanya yang dapat memberikan informasi mengenai keberlanjutan usahanya.

Abstract

Maraknya peredaran kosmetik ilegal, palsu, dan tiruan di marketplace menjadi permasalahan serius, khususnya di kalangan remaja yang rentan terpengaruh tren kosmetik viral di media sosial. Kurangnya literasi terkait keamanan kosmetik dan pentingnya izin edar BPOM meningkatkan risiko penggunaan produk berbahaya yang dapat berdampak negatif terhadap kesehatan kulit. Kegiatan Pengabdian kepada Masyarakat ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan pengetahuan dan pemahaman siswa SMA Negeri 2 Kendari dalam membedakan kosmetik asli, ilegal, dan tiruan serta menumbuhkan kesadaran akan pentingnya melakukan pengecekan izin edar BPOM sebelum membeli produk kosmetik. Metode pelaksanaan kegiatan meliputi sosialisasi dan edukasi melalui ceramah, demonstrasi, diskusi, serta simulasi pengecekan produk menggunakan aplikasi resmi BPOM. Kegiatan ini melibatkan 27 siswa dan diawali dengan pre-test untuk mengukur tingkat pengetahuan awal, kemudian diakhiri dengan post-test untuk menilai peningkatan pemahaman. Hasil kegiatan menunjukkan adanya peningkatan signifikan pengetahuan siswa, dari persentase pemahaman awal sebesar 50% menjadi 96% setelah kegiatan berlangsung. Siswa menjadi lebih kritis dan mampu melakukan pengecekan mandiri terhadap legalitas dan keamanan kosmetik. Kegiatan ini terbukti efektif dalam meningkatkan literasi siswa terkait kosmetik aman serta berkontribusi dalam upaya perlindungan konsumen muda dari bahaya kosmetik ilegal di marketplace.

Abstract

The rampant circulation of illegal cosmetics and low cosmetic safety literacy remain a problem among adolescents, increasing the risk of exposure to hazardous substances such as mercury and hydroquinone. In response, the Pharmacy Professional Education Study Program at Halu Oleo University, in collaboration with BPOM, conducted a community service activity at SMK Negeri 5 Kendari to improve students knowledge in choosing safe cosmetics. The activity was carried out through socialization and counseling using visual media, product inspection practices using the BPOM Mobile application, and the application of the KLIK (Packaging, Label, Distribution Permit, and Expiration) checking method. Evaluation was carried out through pre- and post-tests. The results of the activity showed an increase in students' understanding in recognizing safe cosmetics and high enthusiasm from the participants. This activity emphasized the importance of continuing education to develop critical and safety-conscious cosmetic consumers

Abstract

Penggunaan obat yang rasional merupakan salah satu komponen penting dalam pelayanan kesehatan, khususnya difasilitas kesehatan tingkat pertama seperti puskesmas. Di wilayah pedesaan dan semi-perkotaan pengetahuan masyarakat tentang penggunaan obat yang rasional masih tergolong rendah. Kondisi ini diperburuk oleh minimnya interaksi masyarakat dengan tenaga kesehatan profesional. Akibatnya, penggunaan obat secara mandiri tanpa panduan yang tepat menjadi hal yang umum terjadi, dengan risiko yang cukup tinggi, seperti kesalahan dosis, penggunaan obat kadaluwarsa, serta ketergantungan pada obat-obatan tertentu tanpa resep dokter Tujuan dari kegiatan ini adalah untuk memberikan edukasi dan pengetahuan mengenai pentingnya kesadaran masyarakat tentang rasional penggunaan obat. Hasil dari kegiatan pengabdian ini adalah melalui sosalisasi ini meningkatkan pemahaman masyarakat Kecamatan Konda mengenai penggunaan obat yang aman dan rasional. Dengan demikian, diharapkan masyarakat dapat menggunakan obat secara tepat, efektif, dan bertanggung jawab demi keselamatan dan kualitas kesehatan yang lebih baik.
