Abstract

This study aims to determine the effectiveness of group counseling services using a behavioral approach through the shaping technique in reducing academic procrastination among postgraduate students at UIN Sunan Kalijaga during online learning. The participants consisted of 22 master’s students from the Interdisciplinary Islamic Studies program, with concentrations in Islamic Guidance and Counseling, Middle Eastern Studies, Library Science, and Islamic Educational Psychology, all of whom demonstrated high levels of procrastination based on questionnaire results. The research employed a quasi-experimental design with a one-group pretest-posttest model. Data were collected using a procrastination scale adapted from the study by Simamora and Letara. The data were analyzed using a non-parametric Paired Sample t-test. The results showed a Sig. (2-tailed) value of 0.000 < 0.05, indicating that group counseling services with a behavioral approach through the shaping technique effectively reduced procrastination among postgraduate students. These findings suggest that through gradual behavioral formation (shaping), students can develop study discipline, enhance academic responsibility, and reduce their tendency to delay academic tasks during online learning. Therefore, behavioral-based group counseling services significantly contribute to improving learning effectiveness among postgraduate students.

Abstract

This study focuses on the analysis of students' learning experiences through artificial volcanic eruption experiments in understanding the material of changes in the state of matter at MI Miftahul Ulum. The problem underlying this study is the difficulty students have in learning the abstract concept of changes in state, so a learning strategy based on real experiences is needed. The artificial volcanic eruption experiment was chosen because it is able to show the process of changes in the state of matter through simple chemical reactions in an interesting and easy-to-understand way. The method used is qualitative research with a descriptive approach. The subjects of the study were fifth-grade students of MI Miftahul Ulum. Data were obtained through observation, interviews, and documentation, then analyzed using the stages of data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. The results of the study showed that the implementation of the artificial volcanic eruption experiment created a meaningful learning experience for students. Students appeared more enthusiastic, active, and easily grasped the concept of changes in the state of matter because they experienced the change process directly. In addition, this experiment also fostered students' curiosity, cooperation, and scientific attitudes in learning activities. Based on these findings, it can be concluded that the artificial volcanic eruption experiment is an effective learning medium to strengthen the learning experience while improving students' understanding of the material of changes in the state of matter.

Abstract

Conflict management has become an increasingly important concern in various areas of life, whether in education, organizations, or society at large, especially in the face of the fast-paced dynamics of the digital age. The complexity of interactions between individuals and groups poses unique challenges that require conflict management strategies that not only focus on problem solving, but also aim to create harmony, collaboration, and increased productivity. This study aims to systematically review the literature discussing conflict management issues during the period 2020 to 2024. The two main questions asked are: (1) what are the latest trends and approaches in conflict management research, and (2) what conflict management strategies are most widely used in various social and professional contexts. The results of the review show that recent research highlights three main areas of conflict management application, namely in the context of education, the organizational work environment, and family life. Several dominant strategies that emerge include the importance of effective communication, active participation from all parties involved, the implementation of an adaptive organizational culture, and an approach based on social harmony values. Overall, this study confirms that conflict management is multidimensional and continues to evolve toward more strategic and contextual application. Future research is expected to integrate cross-disciplinary findings to develop conflict management models that are more responsive to the challenges of the digital age.

Abstract

This study aims to develop an innovative learning medium in the form of a board game titled “ReproQuest: Adolescent Reproductive Health” to introduce and enhance students’ understanding of adolescent reproductive health at SMP Negeri 16 Kota Serang. The development process employed the ADDIE model (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation) with eighth-grade students as research subjects selected through purposive sampling. The stages included analyzing student needs, designing an interactive game concept, and conducting feasibility and effectiveness tests. The feasibility assessment results showed an average score of 86.3% (categorized as highly feasible), consisting of 72.87% from linguists, 92.85% from media and material experts, and 87.5% from practitioners. A limited trial involving 10 students demonstrated improved understanding of reproductive health, with 70% of students achieving a moderate level and 30% reaching a high level of comprehension. These findings indicate that the “ReproQuest” board game is feasible, engaging, and effective as a learning medium and guidance tool to promote reproductive health education among adolescents. Moreover, it serves as an enjoyable and participatory learning alternative that fosters positive attitudes and awareness of reproductive health among junior high school students.

Abstract

This study is a library research that aims to analyze the concept and relevance of coastal education in the Straits of Malacca in shaping character and improving the welfare of maritime communities. The study reviews a wide range of literature, including scientific journals, books, and policy documents related to character education, Malay local wisdom, and environmental education in coastal areas. The findings indicate that education in the coastal region of the Straits of Malacca serves not only as a means of knowledge transmission but also as a medium for internalizing the cultural and moral values of the Malay maritime community—values characterized by religiosity, independence, and environmental awareness. The ideal form of coastal education is an integrative model that combines Islamic character values, local wisdom, and ecological consciousness within a contextual learning system that reflects the realities of maritime life. The study concludes that strengthening character education based on coastal culture can serve as an effective strategy for creating resilient, competitive, and sustainable coastal societies amid global social and ecological change.

Abstract

This community service activity aimed to enhance the self-confidence of early childhood learners through the Janger Dance Movement, used as an art- and culture-based learning medium. The program was implemented at TK Prawidya Dharma in Demulih Village, Bangli, involving children aged 5–6 years and their teachers. A qualitative descriptive method was applied using the Participatory Action Learning System (PALS) approach, which emphasizes active engagement, reflection, and participatory learning. The results showed a significant improvement in the children's self-confidence, evidenced by their increased willingness to perform in public, improved social interaction, and more expressive emotional behavior. Teachers also benefited from enhanced pedagogical competence, particularly in integrating cultural and artistic elements into meaningful classroom practices. The Janger Dance Movement proved to be an effective pedagogical strategy for fostering self-confidence, independence, and social development in early childhood education. This approach not only helped children build self-esteem but also encouraged them to engage in creative expression, while allowing teachers to gain valuable experience in incorporating cultural arts into their teaching practices.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the use of the Crossword Puzzle Game Application (TTS) as a learning medium to increase students' involvement and understanding in the learning process. The rapid development of technology demands educational innovation, and gamification, especially in the form of mobile TTS game applications, offers attractive and accessible solutions. Using qualitative research methods with a phenomenological approach, data was collected through in-depth interviews, observations, and document analysis from selected groups of students and teachers who had used the application. The results of the study show that this application effectively increases the motivation, activeness, and vocabulary memory of students. In addition, TTS games provide challenges that spark curiosity and encourage collaboration between learners while solving puzzles. The app also provides a fun, interactive, and adaptive learning environment to individual learning needs, moving away from traditional methods that tend to be monotonous. This study concludes that the TTS Game Application is a very effective, interesting, and relevant educational tool for modern learners and has the potential to be applied to a wide range of subjects.

Abstract

Learning at the elementary school level requires the use of methods that are interesting, interactive, and appropriate to the development of students. This study aims to evaluate the effectiveness of using artificial intelligence (AI)-based animated videos in improving conceptual understanding and learning motivation of second-grade students at MI Miftahul Ulum Kranjingan, Jember. AI-based learning media was chosen because it is able to present material visually, dynamically, and interactively, making it easier to understand for students who are at the concrete operational development stage. This study used a qualitative approach with data collection techniques in the form of observation of the learning process, interviews with teachers and students, and documentation of classroom activities. The results showed that the use of AI-based animated videos was able to increase students' interest and enthusiasm in participating in learning, clarify their understanding of the material presented, and encourage active participation in discussion activities and exercises. Overall, this study concluded that the application of AI-based animated videos is an effective medium for creating a more interactive, creative, and enjoyable learning process for second-grade elementary school students.

Abstract

The development of social media as a space for disseminating information has presented opportunities as well as challenges in religious learning for students. TikTok, as a digital platform that is popular among the younger generation, provides a variety of Islamic content with the theme of fiqh and morals that have the potential to affect users' religious understanding. This study aims to analyze the influence of Islamic content on TikTok with the theme of fiqh and morals on the religious knowledge of students of the PAI Study Program UIN Palopo. The research method used a quantitative approach with multiple linear regression analysis of 268 respondents selected through random sampling techniques. The results of the study show that the content of fiqh has a positive and significant effect on students' religious knowledge, so that content that contains explanations of the laws of worship can improve religious understanding. Moral content has also proven to be significant, especially because of the presentation of moral values that are simple and relevant to student life. Simultaneously, the two variables contributed 61.3% to the increase in religious knowledge. These findings confirm that TikTok plays a role as an effective informal learning medium, although the limitations of the duration of the content make the understanding formed not always deep. This research implies the need to strengthen digital literacy and students' critical attitudes in filtering religious content so that the understanding obtained is more comprehensive and accurate.

Abstract

Robotic extracurricular activities have the potential to develop students' creativity. The implementation of robotics extracurricular programs in improving students' creativity is an activity or activity that is determined outside of class hours, usually aimed at expanding students' insight or knowledge and skills related to technology, operation or development of human machines and human machine systems. The purpose of this study is to describe the design, process, and assessment of robotics extracurricular programs in improving students' creativity at MIN 2 Kediri. This research is a qualitative research with a case study research type. Data collection techniques use interviews, observation, and documentation. Meanwhile, for data analysis, researchers perform data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. This study produces findings that the robotics extracurricular program in improving students' creativity at MIN 2 Kediri has been running effectively. The methods used in the robotics extracurricular program are the PjBL method, STEM, demonstration, and practice.
