Abstract

This study is motivated by the persistence of trading practices that are not fully aligned with sharia principles, such as dishonesty and unfairness in transactions. The objective of this research is to analyze the influence of religiosity and Islamic business ethics knowledge on the business behavior of Muslim traders at Pasar Merdeka Samarinda. This study employs a quantitative approach using a survey method. The population consists of all Muslim traders operating in the market, totaling 367 individuals. The sample comprises 79 respondents, determined using the Slovin formula with a purposive sampling technique. Data were collected through Likert-scale questionnaires and analyzed using ordinal logistic regression with the assistance of IBM SPSS Statistics 25. The results indicate that religiosity has a positive and significant effect on the business behavior of Muslim traders. In addition, knowledge of Islamic business ethics also has a positive and significant influence in shaping business behavior in accordance with sharia principles. Simultaneously, both variables play an important role in encouraging honest, trustworthy, responsible, and fair trading practices. Practically, this study implies that improving religiosity and understanding of Islamic business ethics are essential in promoting ethical trading practices in traditional markets. However, this study is limited by the relatively small sample size and its focus on a single location, thus limiting the generalizability of the findings to other contexts.

Abstract

This study aims to critically examine public attributions that tend to simplify the causes of flash floods and hydrometeorological disasters in Indonesia by linking them solely to oil palm plantations. The study employed a qualitative literature review of scientific articles, research reports, and relevant documents from 2020–2025. Data were analyzed using content analysis and narrative synthesis techniques to identify the relationship between climate change, environmental factors, and social dynamics in flooding events. The study results indicate that flash floods occur widely, including in areas without oil palm plantations, such as Java and coastal urban areas. The main factors influencing flooding include extreme rainfall, urbanization, land subsidence, spatial planning damage, and anthropogenic climate change. The literature also indicates that not all oil palm plantations are the primary cause of deforestation, as some are developed on degraded land. This study emphasizes the importance of a science-based approach and systems thinking in understanding disaster risk, enabling more objective and sustainable public communication and environmental policy development.

Abstract

Cold powder is a traditional cosmetic made from natural ingredients that is still widely used; however, formulation development and quality evaluation, particularly microbiological aspects, require further attention. This study aimed to formulate and evaluate the quality of cold powder containing Erythrina subumbrans leaf extract, including physical quality and microbiological tests. This study used an experimental method with four formulations, namely F0 (0%), F1 (3%), F2 (6%) and F3 (9%) extract concentrations. Physical quality evaluation included organoleptic testing, homogeneity, pH, moisture content, stability, adhesion, and hedonic testing, while microbiological testing was performed through Total Plate Count (TPC) and Yeast and Mold Count (YMC). The results showed that all formulations exhibited different physical characteristics. The pH values were within the acceptable range for topical preparations, while the moisture content test indicated that F3 exceeded the permissible limit. All formulations did not meet the requirements for homogeneity and adhesion. The hedonic test showed that formulation F2 (6%) had the highest acceptance level. Microbiological testing revealed that all formulations exceeded the acceptable limits for TPC and YMC, indicating that they did not meet the safety requirements according to BPOM standards. In conclusion, cold powder containing Erythrina subumbrans leaf extract was successfully formulated; however, not all formulations met the physical quality and microbiological safety requirements. Formulation F2 showed the most potential for further development with improvements in quality and safety aspects

Abstract

This study aims to construct the values of the Pancasila in the Pasola tradition as a representation of the local wisdom of the Sumba community. The study used a qualitative approach with a critical ethnographic method, conducted in the Kodi region of Sumba Barat Daya. Data dikumpulkan melalui observasi partisipatif, wawancara mendalam, dan studi dokumentasi, dan dianalisis dengan model Miles, Huberman, dan Saldaña, dengan menggunakan analisis tematik dan konstruksi sosial. The results of the study show that Pasola contains religious values, social solidarity, leadership, conflict resolution, and a balance between humans and nature, which are rooted in the Marapu belief system. Pasola also represents the five principles of the Indonesian national philosophy, Pancasila: Ketuhanan (religiousness), Kemanusiaan (humanity), Persatuan (unity), Kerakyatan (democracy), and Keadilan Sosial (social justice). The process of constructing these values takes place through the stages of externalisation, objectification, and internalisation in the lives of the community. This study confirms that the values of the Pancasila are deeply rooted in local traditions and shows the potential of Pasola as a source of contextual learning in the teaching of the Pancasila based on ethnopedagogy to strengthen the character and cultural identity of students

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the authority and constraints of the executing prosecutor in implementing the substitute money judgment and its implementation procedures according to the criminal procedure law in Indonesia. The research method used is normative juridical with a statute approach, a case approach, and a conceptual approach through library research techniques, namely by examining laws and regulations, court decisions, and relevant legal literature. The results of the study show that the authority of the prosecutor as an executor has been clearly regulated in Article 270 of the Criminal Code and Attorney General's Regulation Number 2 of 2017, but its implementation still faces obstacles in the form of concealment of assets, weak coordination between institutions, low economic value of confiscated goods, and the tendency of convicts to choose subsidiary crimes instead of paying compensation. This research has implications for the importance of strengthening the asset tracing system, coordination between law enforcement agencies, and optimizing execution mechanisms to improve the recovery of state losses and legal certainty. The limitations of this study lie in the use of normative juridical methods that have not described the empirical conditions thoroughly and are limited to the case study of Decision Number 70/Pid.Sus-TPK/2024/PN.Jkt.Pst. Based on the results of the study, it is recommended to strengthen regulations and mechanisms for tracking assets resulting from corruption, increase coordination between law enforcement agencies, and update the policy on the execution of substitute money so that the implementation of state loss recovery can be run more effectively and provide legal certainty.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the concept of self-management as a basis for character formation from the perspective of psychology and education, explain the mechanism of self-management in the internalization of character values, and describe the implementation of self-management in building student character at SDN Dukuh Kidul, Ngasem, Bojonegoro. This study uses a descriptive qualitative approach by combining conceptual study and implementation in the context of elementary schools. Data collection techniques were carried out through observation, interviews, and documentation. The data were analyzed qualitatively through three stages, namely data condensation, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. The findings indicate that self-management serves as an essential foundation for character formation because it involves the ability to regulate thoughts, emotions, and behavior consciously. The mechanism of self-management operates through self-regulation, self-control, and self-evaluation, which transform moral values from normative knowledge into habits internalized by students. In its implementation at the elementary school level, self-management can be fostered through habituation, discipline reinforcement, teacher modeling, self-reflection, and the creation of a supportive learning environment. These findings affirm that effective character formation depends not merely on external supervision, but also on students’ ability to manage themselves independently, consistently, and responsibly.

Abstract

Migration to hybrid cloud computing is increasingly being implemented by organizations to achieve a balance between flexibility, security, and cost efficiency in supporting digital transformation. However, integration across private and public cloud environments and the use of multi-cloud environments creates technical and socio-technical complexities that increase operational risks. This study aims to develop a conceptual framework for hybrid cloud migration risks from an Information Systems perspective. The research method uses a narrative literature review of 23 relevant scientific articles. The analysis process is carried out in two stages: grouping literature findings into operational risk domains and mapping risks using Threat, Vulnerability, Risk Factors, Impact, and Damage components. The results identify eight key risk domains, including information security and privacy, compliance and regulation, migration costs, downtime and service availability, existing system integration and compatibility, interoperability and lock-in risk, observability and cross-cloud monitoring, and socio-technical readiness and information technology governance. The resulting conceptual framework emphasizes the importance of integrated risk management through a combination of technical controls and governance mechanisms. Practically, this framework can be utilized to help organizations identify, prioritize, and mitigate hybrid cloud migration risks more systematically.
