Abstract

Implementing the independent curriculum in the West Aceh District madrasah certainly poses challenges for teachers and the Ministry of Religious Affairs. On one hand, the independent curriculum strongly supports the development of students' potential. Still, there are obstacles, especially in meeting the requirements as supporters of implementing this curriculum. This study examines the challenges teachers and madrasah in West Aceh face regarding implementing the new curriculum. The research was conducted using a descriptive qualitative method, and data collection was done through observation, interviews with teachers and school principals, and individuals who could provide information on the implementation of the independent curriculum. The results of the study found that there were several challenges faced by madrasahs in the West Aceh District, including improving teacher competencies through training in teaching methods and understanding student differentiation to adapt learning to the talents and potentials of students, as well as in the field of approaches and teaching methods. Adequate facilities and infrastructure are needed to support the curriculum, and a comprehensive understanding is required for teachers approaching retirement to implement this curriculum effectively. In improving the quality of the implementation of the independent curriculum, cooperation from all parties is needed to evaluate each step in implementing this curriculum.

Abstract

Spiritual quotient is the awareness and activation of faith as a natural potential in interpreting life with the value of worship which is raised through moral attitudes and behavior in a balanced and perfect manner. However, the current phenomenon is that spiritual quotient seems to be underestimated and not important to develop in the learning process. This study seeks to explore how spiritual constructs influence motivation, learning quality and personal development of individuals by considering psychological and pedagogical factors, by conducting desk research. This method allows for the collection of data from various literatures, such as books, documentary materials, magazines, journals and newspapers. This research uses a qualitative approach, which emphasizes the analysis of the comparative inference process and the dynamics of the relationship between observed phenomena. spiritual quotient can be defined as religious encouragement and stimulation which is the potential of human nature brought from birth. In the Islamic concept, spiritual quotient has 5 dimensions, namely fitrah, spirituality, tawhid, morals, and istiqamah practice. Furthermore, in the learning process, spiritual quotient can foster students' intrinsic motivation, build emotional maturity, and increase focus and calmness in students' hearts. The role of the teacher in developing this spiritual quotient is to be a role model, create a spiritually-based learning environment, integrate spiritual values, and encourage self-development.

Abstract

The Isyari interpretation, often taken by Sufi scholars, can be classified into one of the divisions of interpretation according to its source. This category includes the interpretations by al-Ma'tsũr (interpretation based on tradition) and bi ar-ra'y (interpretation based on logic). The Isyari interpretation is pursued by exploring the implicit or inner meanings in the Qur'an. However, the interpretation of Sufi groups fundamentally differs from the interpretation of the Bãthiniyyah group, although both seek to uncover the inner meanings of the Qur'an. Understanding the Qur'an by delving into implicit meanings is not a new issue in the Islamic treasury. Still, it has emerged since the companions' time and continued to evolve in subsequent periods. Several verses of the Qur'an and hadith also depict that the Qur'an can be understood explicitly and implicitly. Nevertheless, the controversy about Sufi interpretation continues; some allow it, while others condemn it.

Abstract

Risk is a fact that investors must face in stock investment activities. Investors need risk management and estimation to avoid higher risks due to stock price fluctuations that are difficult to predict. Risk management is a system of supervision and protection to minimize acceptable risks. The risk of a stock can be measured using Value at Risk (VaR). VaR is an estimate of the maximum risk obtained by investors under normal market conditions, periods and certain levels of confidence. One of the methods used to determine VaR is Monte Carlo Simulation which includes the generation of random numbers. This method is considered the most powerful in estimating VaR. This study aims to estimate stock risk on single assets and portfolios at BRIS and BTPS for the period January 1, 2021 - December 31, 2023, using VaR calculation with Monte Carlo simulation. The secondary data used in this study is the daily closing stock price data of PT Bank Syariah Indonesia Tbk (BRIS) and PT Bank BTPN Syariah Tbk (BTPS) during the period January 1, 2021-31 December 2023. Based on the results of the test analysis, it shows that on a single asset, PT Bank BTPN Syariah Tbk (BTPS) has a VaR level of IDR 20,014,498 higher than the VaR level of PT Bank Syariah Indonesia Tbk (BRIS) of IDR 19,947,342. In the calculation of the portfolio with the weight of BRIS = 50% and BTPS = 50% shares shows a loss of Rp15,529,484. The VaR value is lower than the VaR value of each asset, it can be concluded that the diversification effect can minimize the risk of stock investment.

Abstract

A formative assessment is carried out to integrate and improve the learning process and achieve learning goals. Formative assessment aims to improve the learning process and obtain feedback. Feedback is a crucial component of formative assessment. Lecturers use feedback to improve learning, communicate to students what they need to learn and provide learning opportunities. This research aims to describe how formative assessment is implemented in educational psychology courses at UIAD Sinjai and the obstacles to implementing formative assessment in educational psychology courses at UIAD Sinjai. This research is included in phenomenological research using a qualitative research approach. This research was conducted in May 2024. The subjects of this research were educational psychology lecturers and even semester students of educational psychology courses. Meanwhile, the object of the research is the application of formative assessment of the independent learning curriculum in educational psychology courses. The data collection technique used in this research is the interview method. The research instrument used was an interview sheet. The research results show that 1) the form of implementing independent curriculum formative assessment in educational psychology courses is by using various methods such as discussions, questions and answers, lectures, and assignments; 2) An obstacle in carrying out formative assessments with students is that students may be less active in asking and answering questions, and some may not even actively participate in discussions in the room.

Abstract

This research examines the development of Islamic Religious Education (PAI) teaching materials based on the Canva application in class VII of Madrasah Tsanawiyah (MTs) Ziyadatut Taqwa, Tlanakan Pamekasan. The background to this research is the lack of creativity in preparing teaching materials at the school, which impacts students' low enthusiasm for learning. This research uses the Research and Development (R&D) method with a modified Brog & Gall development model. Data was obtained through observation, interviews with teachers and students, and testing Canva-based teaching material products. Validation was carried out by teaching materials and material experts, resulting in a 75% and 85% feasibility percentage. The research results show that teaching materials based on the Canva application are very suitable for use, with a student eligibility percentage reaching 90%. Implementing this teaching material is hoped to increase students' understanding and enthusiasm for learning PAI.

Abstract

Misuse of smartphone devices can be detrimental to students, especially now that ownership is not limited by age, as even elementary school children have their smartphones, as do students at SD Negeri Tanjong Meulaboh, Kaway XVI District. This research aims to determine student learning achievement, the impact of smartphone device ownership on students, efforts by teachers to address the impact of smartphone ownership on student learning achievement, and the challenges teachers face in addressing the impact of smartphone ownership. This research uses a qualitative method with interview and documentation data collection techniques. The research data is analyzed using a qualitative descriptive method. The research results show that student learning achievement at SD Negeri Tanjong has decreased by an average percentage of 10.59%. Secondly, students' smartphone ownership significantly impacts student learning achievement and leads to moral degradation. Thirdly, teachers' efforts to address students' smartphone addiction include educating students about the dangers of excessive use, implementing specific school discipline related to smartphones by prohibiting students from bringing smartphones to school and confiscating them if found, and coordinating with parents. Lastly, the challenges faced by teachers in addressing the impact of smartphone ownership on student learning achievement include difficulties in managing students who use smartphone devices, as they tend to ignore teachers' instructions or advice, and challenges from parents who seem to allow their children to spend excessive time playing with their phones.

Abstract

This study intends to investigate the concept of moral education for students as it is presented in the book of ta'limul muta'allim and determine whether it applies to students today. The research method utilized is library research, which involves consultation of pertinent material. The findings of the study are as follows: 1) The components of the concept of moral education for children that are included in the book of ta'limul muta'allim are straightening out intentions when learning, learning how to choose knowledge, teachers, friends, and peaking in steadfastness, glorifying knowledge and knowledgeable people, being serious, maintaining continuity, being enthusiastic about learning, and using tawakkal and wara' when pursuing knowledge. 2) The significance of moral education in the book that includes the book of ta'limul muta'allim It is both intellectual education and moral education being provided to today's pupils. Imam Az-zarnuji's focus on these two characteristics may be a solution to the current scenario in the world of education, which is experiencing a crisis of morality and places only an emphasis on the intellectual side. As far as he is concerned, the purpose of education is not merely to generate a good human being at birth; rather, Imam Az-zarnuji desires a knowledgeable person to be good in both his heart and his actions. The process of seeking information is the most important thing, and successful outcomes are an award for someone pursuing knowledge of something.

Abstract

State Islamic Religious Universities (PTKIN) in Aceh have their own challenges in dealing with sexual violence. The culture and religious values that are upheld in Aceh should be a strong foundation for forming a safe and comfortable environment for all campus residents. However, it needs to be recognized that sexual violence can occur anywhere, including in institutions based on religious values. The purpose of the research is to find out the concrete steps implemented by PTKIN in Aceh in preventing and handling sexual violence in the university environment. The research was conducted using a qualitative method with research locations in 5 PTKIN in Aceh. Data collection was carried out using interview, observation, and documentation techniques on selected research objects and subjects. Data analysis is carried out by carrying out stages of data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion. The results of the study show that the Prevention and Handling of Sexual Violence at PTKIN has been carried out by referring to PMA number 72 of 2022. However, the implementation of the prevention and handling of sexual violence is still not optimal. Only UIN Ar-Raniry is seen to have systematically prevented and prevented sexual violence. UIN Ar-Raniry already has special regulations related to PPKS, there is already a ULT PPKS and has carried out socialization of Prevention and Handling of Sexual Violence programmatically and sustainably .

Abstract

The picture and picture learning model uses pictures and is paired or ordered into a logical order. This learning model relies on images, the main factor in the learning process. In the learning process in grade VIII, some students are not enthusiastic about participating in learning. This happens because of several things, namely the use of learning models. The use of the learning model is very important. This is where the right learning model is needed so that learning can run effectively and attract students' interest so that they can achieve optimal learning interest. Therefore, this study examines the influence of the picture and picture learning model in increasing students' interest in Islamic Religious Education subjects. This study used quantitative research on the experimental design in the experimental and control classes. The research instruments used are tests, questionnaires, and documentation. The results of the study on the effect of the use of the picture and picture learning model on students' learning interest were obtained as the average score of students' learning interest in the experimental class with a total of 25 students was 63.82, and in the control class with a total of 25 students was 56.56. Based on the hypothesis test of the student's learning interest in the experimental and control classes, the tcount > ttable was 7.094 >2.009, and the significant value was 0.00 < 0.05. Therefore, it can be concluded that using the picture and picture learning model significantly influences students' interest in PAI subjects at SMP Negeri 1 Langsa, so the data contributes well. In this study, the picture and picture learning model can increase students' interest in learning and achieve the desired learning outcomes. In the interactive learning process, students are invited to actively ask and answer questions with friends and teachers to achieve the desired learning interest using this learning model
