Abstract

The rise of online games, which are popular among teenagers, is due to the development of the era of globalization and increasingly sophisticated technological developments, which have a negative impact on teenagers. The author is interested in research by raising the title of the online gaming phenomenon as a social pathology among teenagers in Seumara Gampong, Pante Ceureumen District, West Aceh Regency. This research uses a mixed method, collecting data through observation, questionnaires, interviews, and documentation. The results of the study from distributing questionnaires to 19 teenagers, 15 teenagers (78.9%) said that online games are a social pathology because online games have a negative impact on academic achievement, aggressive behavior, dirty talk, neglecting prayers, and ignoring parental orders. Meanwhile, 4 teenagers (21.1%) said that online games are not a social pathology because playing online games can train hand and eye speed and become a profession to make money. The results of interviews from the gampong government, officials, community leaders, Imum Chik, and parents of teenagers said that the gampong government and parents had tried to overcome the online gaming phenomenon among teenagers by providing advice and warnings. The gampong government and parents continue to supervise/control teenagers so that they do not become addicted to playing online games. The gampong government has provided warnings and guidance to teenagers to use their free time usefully

Abstract

There are various efforts to increase awareness of local wisdom in Indonesia. This discussion aims to analyze the implementation of local content in schools to create awareness among students in preserving the nation's culture. This research uses a text analysis method relevant to the theme and objectives of the discussion, and data is taken using relevant references, regulations, and the reality that occurs in schools. The discussion results show that in the independent curriculum, educational units can add local content that the regional government has determined by local wisdom or regional characteristics. Provincial governments can allocate regional authority in developing local content curricula based on regional factors. This means that all cultural conditions and regional characteristics have sufficient space to be applied in the curriculum. Therefore, in determining local content options that will be implemented, local governments and schools still refer to applicable regulations and adapt them to the needs of local communities. From these findings, local governments and schools should synergize to maintain the nation's traditional and cultural values by implementing local wisdom in local content lessons in schools

Abstract

Tiktok, as a feature on social media applications, has become a phenomenon involving many users in contemporary society. This platform is not just a functional space for interaction and information-seeking; it has also shifted into a symbol of self-image and lifestyle. Symbolic interactionism and consumer society theories can encapsulate this phenomenon, where TikTok is not merely a gathering place but also a stage for expressing, actualizing, and shaping one's self-image. In this context, personal branding emerges as an effort to cultivate a positive image and attract the attention of others. TikTok users actively portray themselves by posting photos and videos to create a positive impression and garner public attention. Despite the gap between social media life and real life, users are willing to purchase likes and followers to maintain their popularity. Thus, the phenomenon of TikTok usage can be analyzed through the perspectives of Darmatugi's theory and new media, especially the theory of use and gratification.

Abstract

The Department of Culture and Tourism has been promoted through social media and print media and by holding national and international events inviting tourists to visit Simeulue Island. The impact of the promotion carried out by the Simeulue Regency Tourism Office, Simeulue Regency tourism is already known worldwide, especially water tourism (surfing). In 2019, more than a thousand foreign tourists visited Simeulue, but since 2020, due to the Covid-19 pandemic, the number of foreign tourists coming to Simeulue has decreased. This research aims to discover the communication strategy of the Tourism Department in Simeulue Regency in promoting local wisdom tourism and the obstacles faced by the Tourism Department in promoting local wisdom tourism destinations in Simeulue Regency. This research uses qualitative research methods with interview, observation and documentation techniques. Data analysis uses descriptive qualitative. The research shows that the communication strategy of the Tourism Office in Simeulue Regency in promoting local wisdom tourism is carried out by fostering tourist destinations owned by Simeulue Regency. Promotion is carried out through print media in the form of brochures, electronic television media broadcast on TV Aceh, festivals, events and expos, and social media by showing videos of tourist destinations via the YouTube channel. The obstacles faced by the Tourism Office in promoting local wisdom tourism destinations in Simeulue Regency are lack of budget for promotion, lack of understanding of human resources regarding developing tourism potential, lack of network and disruption of internet and electricity networks.

Abstract

Abuddin Nata is a thinker in Islamic education in Indonesia who is very active in the world of education, especially Islamic education. Therefore, the author is interested in looking further into the basic concepts of Islamic education, according to Abuddin Nata. The aim to be achieved in discussing this thesis is to find out Abudin Nata's views on Islamic education and to find out the implementation of the basic concepts of Islamic education according to Abuddin Nata. The type of research in this scientific work is library research, and the method used in discussing this thesis is content analysis. Abuddin Nata said that the curriculum in Islamic education has principles, namely the principle of perfect connection with religion, including teachings and values. Every part of the curriculum, such as objectives, content, methods, and assessment, must be based on religion. The overall principle of the aims and scope of the curriculum includes fostering faith, reason, physicality, and things that benefit society in spiritual, social, economic, and political development. The principle of the relative balance between objectives and curriculum content; The principle of the relationship between talents, interests, abilities, and needs of students; The principle of maintaining individual differences between students in terms of interests or talents; The principle of accepting developments and changes by the times and places and the principle of the relationship between various subjects and the experiences and activities contained in the curriculum

Abstract

This study aims to determine the improvement of teacher performance in utilizing the Harapan Bangsa Information System application (Si Haba) as a learning resource through workshops at MTsS Harapan Bangsa West Aceh Regency in 2022. The subjects in this study were all MTsS Harapan Bangsa teachers of West Aceh Regency, totaling 38 people, consisting of 7 civil servant teachers and 31 non-civil servant teachers. The data collection technique used is observation. This research is carried out in two cycles: planning, implementation, observation, and reflection. The data analysis technique used is percentage descriptive. The results showed increased teacher performance in applying the Si Haba as a learning resource through workshops at MTsS Harapan Bangsa West Aceh Regency. This can be seen from the results of pre-action: teacher performance obtained an average score of 60.1 in the pretty good category, in the first cycle got an average score of 74.9 in the good category, and in the second cycle obtained an average score of 80.7 in the very good category. This proves the hypnotic statement stating that teacher performance in utilizing the Harapan Bangsa Information System (Si Haba) application as a learning resource can be improved through workshops at MTsS Harapan Bangsa West Aceh Regency in 2022, proven.

Abstract

Family Strengthening is one of the programs at SOS Children Village that aims to strengthen economically vulnerable families. The author is interested in research by raising the title Role SOS Children Village Through Family Strengthening in Child and Adolescent Development (Study in Gampong Pasie Mesjid, Meureubo District, West Aceh Regency). This research aims to determine the development of children and adolescents carried out by SOS Children Village through Family Strengthening, to find out the obstacles faced by SOS Children Village and to know the strategy of SOS Children Village in dealing with barriers experienced in the development of children and adolescents. This research uses qualitative methods, including interviews, documentation, and observation data collection techniques. The research results from interviews explain that there are two types of development categories carried out by Family Strengthening, namely for PAUD and elementary school children in the form of calistung training and for teenagers in the form of training soft skills in the form of computer technology training, handicraft training, cake and drink processing training as well public speaking. The obstacles faced are a lack of commitment from children and teenagers to participate in the program and differences in the level of absorption of mentors who spend a long time providing understanding to the children. Strategy SOS Children Village deals with obstacles to the development of children and adolescents by motivating children and adolescents who take part in training. The mentor patiently guides children and adolescents who lack absorption capacity during the learning process.

Abstract

This study aims to find out the classroom teacher's strategy in guiding students with reading difficulties in grade IV MIN 18 Aceh Barat and how the classroom teacher's obstacles in guiding students with reading difficulties in grade IV MIN 18 Aceh Barat. This research is classified as a type of descriptive qualitative research. The subjects in this study are grade IV students who have difficulty reading, grade IV teachers, the Head of MIN 18 Aceh Barat, and Students' Parents. Data collection was carried out using interviews, observations, and documentation. Activities in data analysis are data collection, data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion. Based on the research results, the classroom teacher's strategy here is to use a special method for children who have difficulty reading, such as the Fernald method. Using various kinds of media in guiding children with reading difficulties. And also provide special guidance to teach him to read during empty hours or breaks. The obstacles for classroom teachers in guiding students with reading difficulties are students who do not know letters, only memorizing letters based on alphabetical order. In addition, environmental and hereditary factors are also obstacles for classroom teachers in guiding grade IV students of MIN 18 Aceh Barat who have difficulty reading.

Abstract

Bullying behavior has serious repercussions for victims and perpetrators. The victim he experienced psychosomatic symptoms, went to madrasa, felt worthless, felt alienated, and depressed. As for the perpetrator, he will develop into a dangerous individual when he grows up. This article will examine how to prevent bullying in MIN 8 West Aceh. This research uses qualitative methods. The subjects of this study include the head of the madrasah, the homeroom teacher, and students at MIN 8 West Aceh. The authors used observation, interview, and documentation methods in data collection. Data analysis is used in this study to reduce and display data and draw conclusions. The results showed that the madrasah has carried out good management related to preventing bullying in the madrasah environment. The madrasah started by formulating an appropriate program plan to prevent bullying. Planning is formulated by conducting program preparation work meetings involving teacher councils and stakeholders. Then, the program that has been prepared is carried out properly by the plans that have been prepared. The program implemented is anti-bullying guidance and socialization activities through poster media. The implementation of the program is well-evaluated by the madrasah. The evaluation is carried out by evaluating processes and results.

Abstract

One of the responsibilities in managing educational units is the use of information technology. This study aims to determine the strategy for using information technology in MTsN 2 West Aceh. This research is field research (field research, with a qualitative approach. Data collection techniques are carried out through observation, interviews, and document studies. Data processing techniques are carried out by data reduction, data presentation (data display), and data verification (conclusion drawing). The results showed that: 1) strategies for providing information technology by budgeting funds and procuring information technology software and hardware, 2) strategies for training and controlling school apparatus by guiding, fostering and involving madrasah apparatus to attend training, seminars and webinars to develop competence in the use of information technology, 3) information technology asset management strategies by maintaining and take care so that it is not easily damaged, and inventory information technology assets into the State Property (BMN) report.
