Abstract

This research aims to create interesting learning materials to teach speaking skills to tenth-grade students at SMK Islam 1 Blitar. Traditional English teaching approaches sometimes fail to engage students and promote active speaking, resulting in minimal development. The study proposes using the Flashcards game for language learning to address this issue. The game promotes vocabulary mastery, speaking confidence, and active engagement. The game's effectiveness was evaluated through research and development, including a trial with 38 students. The Flashcards game considerably improved learning, with a questionnaire score of 81.4%, indicating validity. The evaluation showed that the game is an effective teaching tool. Research shows that interactive games, such as Flashcards, can improve students' speaking skills and create an interesting learning environment. This technique aligns with modern education trends that prioritize interactive, student-centered learning. In conclusion, the Flashcards game effectively improves speaking skills and student motivation.

Abstract

This research aims to develop an interactive PowerPoint (PPT) as a learning media to enhance students’ writing skills, specifically in composing procedure texts for 10th grade students at MA Ma’arif NU Blitar. The study employed the Research and Development (R&D) method, using the ADDIE model which consists of five phases: Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation. Data were collected through observation, interviews, questionnaires, pre-tests, and post-tests. The findings revealed that the developed interactive PPT significantly improved students’ writing performance. This improvement was evident in the increase of average scores from pre-test to post-test, and supported by positive responses from students regarding the clarity, engagement, and effectiveness of the media. Media validation results also showed a high level of feasibility and appropriateness. The interactive PPT includes animations, quizzes, and hyperlinks to foster active learning. In conclusion, this interactive PPT proved to be a feasible and effective media to support writing instruction and enhance students’ engagement and achievement.

Abstract

This study aims to develop an instructional medium in the form of flashcards to enhance students’ speaking skills in English language learning. The research subject was 26 students of 7th grade at MTS Maftahul Uluum Jatinom Blitar. The development procedure referred to ADDIE model, which includes the stages of analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation. The background of this study stems from students' difficulties in speaking English and the lack of interest in learning. To address this issue, the researcher designed flashcard with the interesting and colorful pictures.The developed product underwent validation by a media expert and a material expert, and was subsequently tested through student trials. The material validation score was 88%, the media validation score was 98%, and the student satisfaction score was 90%, all of which indicate that the media is highly feasible. The result of student satisfaction analysis indicates that flashcard is effective to increase student interest. Based on the findings, this learning tool is deemed both effective and practical in enhancing students’ interest and may serve as an alternative instructional resource in English language teaching.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis kerusakan lahan, dampak terhadap bangunan, dan strategi masyarakat dalam menghadapi perubahan penggunaan lahan pasca erupsi Gunung Marapi di Kecamatan Sungai Pua, Kabupaten Agam. Gunung Marapi merupakan salah satu gunung api aktif di Sumatera Barat yang mengalami erupsi besar sejak Desember 2023 dan berdampak pada lahan pertanian serta permukiman warga. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah mixed method, yaitu gabungan pendekatan kuantitatif dan kualitatif. Lokasi penelitian meliputi lima nagari terdampak: Limo Suku, Kepalo Koto, Limo Kampuang, Galuang, dan Tangah Koto. Sampel tanah diambil masing-masing satu titik per nagari menggunakan ring sampel untuk uji tekstur, struktur, dan permeabilitas di laboratorium. Data kuantitatif dianalisis dengan perhitungan persentase, sedangkan data kualitatif dianalisis menggunakan model Miles & Huberman yang meliputi reduksi data, penyajian data, dan penarikan Kesimpulan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan: (1) Kerusakan tanah dilihat dari struktur, tekstur, dan permeabilitas sehingga mengganggu produktivitas lahan (2) Kerusakan bangunan digolongkan dalam berbagai tingkat dan mulai dari ringan 0-20%, ringan 21-50%, berat 51-80% dihitung menggunakan rumus tingkat kerusakan bangunan, dengan kerusakan terbanyak terjadi di daerah paling dekat dengan pusat erupsi. (3) Pemulihan lahan, penataan ulang lahan, dan penguatan kapasitas masyarakat.

Abstract

This research was carried out based on process and the results of observation at SMP Nabawi Maftahul Uluum. This research was aimed to Developing Pop – Up Book Media in Teaching and Learning Descriptive Text to Improve Writing Skill in 7th Grade of SMP Nabawi Maftahul Uluum. Researcher used method used is ADDIE method where researcher conducted five steps. The steps include analysis, design, development, implementation, evaluation. . This research was conducted at SMP Nabawi Maftahul Ulum with the research subject in 7th grade. This pop-book media is composed of materials, functions, characteristics, and examples. Equipped with Pop-Up Image as practice material for writing descriptive text. Data collection techniques were carried out using interviews and surveys. The instruments used are interview guidelines and questionnaires using a Likert scale. Based on the results of the validation carried out by material expert and media expert, linguists then the results of teacher and student responses, the percentage of results obtained were 91.8%, 92.2%, 94.14%, 96.45 and 90.8% with a total score of 93% where the value reaches the criteria of "Very Good or Very Valid or Very Usable". So it can be concluded that the Pop-Up Book learning media is very well used in the English learning process.Learning Media

Abstract

Penelitian ini di latar belakangi oleh ditemui masalah dalam kegiatan belajar mengajar (KBM) kebanyakan peserta didik kurang antuasis dalam mengikuti proses belajar mengajar geografi yang sedang berlangsung, terutama jika guru hanya menggunakan metode konvensional seperti metode ceramah ketika membawakan suatu materi dan berdiskusi secara berkelompok. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui penerapan metode pembelajaran berdiferensiasi dapat meningkatkan minat belajar peserta didik pada mata pelajaran geografi fase e di SMA Negeri 1 Lembah Melintang. Penelitian menggunakan metode desain quasi eksperimen. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah seluruh Peserta didik fase E di SMA Negeri 1 Lembah Melintang yang terdaftar pada tahun ajaran 2024/2025 terdiri atas 10 fase dengan jumlah 360 peserta didik. Teknik pengambilan sampel yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah purposive sampling yaitu pada fase E 9 dan fase E 10. Data dikumpulkan menggunakan tes, kuisioner/angket dan dokumentasi dan dianalisis melalui uji T. Temuan mengungkapkan bahwa penerapan metode pembelajaran berdiferensiasi dapat meningkatkan minat belajar peserta didik pada mata pelajaran geografi fase E di SMA Negeri 1 Lembah Melintang. Studi ini menyimpulkan bahwa terdapat meningkatkan minat belajar peserta didik dengan menggunakan penerapan pembelajaran berdiferensiasi pada fase E di SMA Negeri 1 Lembah Melintang. Berdasarkan rata-rata nilai skor presentase responden yang di peroleh dari variabel minat belajar peserta didik di kelas eksperimen lebih besar dibandingkan rata-rata nilai skor presentase dari kelas kontrol sehingga capaian responden kelas eksperimen termasuk dalam kategori baik dan kelas kontrol termasuk dalam kategori cukup baik.

Abstract

This study aims to develop Snakes and ladders game media to teach writing skills in grade VII students of MTs Syekh Subakir 2. Based on the need analysis with an English teacher, it was stated that during the pandemic students had difficulty understanding English material. The results of the questionnaire 10 students also stated that learning English was difficult, especially writing. This study and development proposed the (Borg, W. R. and Gall, 1989). Data was collected using interviews and questionnaire The process of developing Snakes and ladders learning media is carried out in 8 stages, namely: (1) Potential and problems, (2) Data collection, (3) Product design, (4) Design validation, (5) Design revision, ( 6) Product testing, (7) Usage trial (8) product revision. The result of Snakes and ladders media validated by material experts obtained material experts 86.67% and from obtained media experts 90% which means that it is valid and feasible for use as learning. Furthermore, this can be proven by the analysis of student satisfaction questionnaires which are used as a reference for the feasibility of learning products. The results of the data showed 100%, which stated that students were greatly helped and became more active writing with the Snakes and ladders learning media. In conclusion, Snakes and ladders media that was developed can use to teach writing in MTs Syekh Subakir 2.

Abstract

penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui apa dampak penggunaan aplikasi tik tok terhadap perkembangan sosial dan emosional anak. Aplikasi tik tok adalah aplikasi yang banyak di gandrungi oleh beberapa kalangan termasuk anak anak. Seiring dengan perkembangan zaman teknologi semakin canggih dan mudah di akses oleh siapapun. Hal ini memunculkan beberapa dampak positif dan negative untuk anak anak. Secara positif aplikasi ini dapat,meningkatkan, kreativitas, keterampilan, kepercayaan diri dan ekspresi dari anak anak, namun ada juga dampak negatif seperti anak lebih suka bermain hp dari pada bermain dengan teman sebaya,penggunaan yang berlebihan dan tidak terkontrol dapat mengakibatkan gangguan tidur pada anak Karena anak keasikan main hp,peningkatan kecemasandan penurunan kerja akademik, membuat anak kecanduan. penggunaan aplikasi tik tok pada anak memiliki potensi baik dan buruk terhadap perkembangan sosial dan emosional mereka, dalam hal ini di butuhkan peran dan penggawasan orang tua dan pendidik dalam mengawasi dan membimbing anak anak dalam penggunaan aplikasi ini dengan baik.
