Abstract

This study aims to synthesize recent findings on the use of Generative Artificial Intelligence (GenAI) in teacher-driven personalized learning in K-12 education. This review uses the Systematic Literature Review (SLR) method with the PRISMA 2020 guidelines, searching the Scopus database for the year 2025. The search strategy employs a combination of keywords covering aspects of GenAI, personalized learning, the K-12 context, and the role of teachers. Out of 319 articles identified, 34 met the inclusion criteria and were analyzed thematically to address three research questions: (1) the forms of GenAI utilization for personalized learning in K-12, (2) the role and strategies of teachers in designing, implementing, and (3) the enabling and hindering factors of implementation. The study findings indicate that GenAI is utilized to generate adaptive learning materials, provide interactive virtual tutors, facilitate adaptive assessments, and create contextual learning simulations. Teachers' roles include learning designers, facilitators, evaluators, and developers of students' AI literacy, with strategies such as prompt engineering, LMS integration, and performance-based assessments. Supporting factors include infrastructure availability, teacher training, clear policies, and platform integration; while barriers include low teacher readiness, digital divides, ethical concerns, and limitations in adapting local content. This study highlights the novelty of a teacher-centered perspective and the synthesis of pedagogical strategies with the potential of GenAI technology, recommending practice-based training, ethical policies, infrastructure equity, and the integration of AI literacy into the curriculum.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the implementation of the ethnographic approach in multicultural education at the elementary school level. This approach is used as strategy to bring student closer to cultural diversity through experiental learning. The research was conducted in several elementary school in the Cikarang area using a descriptive qualitative method. Data were collected through observation, interviews, and document analysis. The findings show that the ethnographic approach encourages students to understand and appreciate cultural differences through direct interaction with the social environment. Multicultural values developed during the learning process include tolerance, curiosity toward other cultures, and pride in each student’s own cultural identity. However, the implementation of this approach faces challenges, such as a lack of teacher training in ethnographic methods and limited time for its integration into classroom activities. Therefore, this study recommends specialized training for teachers and the systematic integration of the ethnographic approach into the curriculum to strengthen multicultural education at the elementary level.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the effectiveness of the Smart Windows Puzzle learning media in improving learning outcomes in Islamic Education at Al Basyariyah Vocational High School. The study is motivated by the monotonous learning models applied in the classroom, which focus only on cognitive outcomes and ignore affective and psychomotor domains, despite students' relatively good cognitive performance. A quantitative method was used with a True Experimental Design in the form of a Pretest-Posttest Control Group Design. The sample consisted of 50 eleventh-grade students, with 24 in the experimental group and 26 in the control group. Data were collected through posttests and analyzed using IBM SPSS v27.0. The Mann Whitney U Test was applied due to non-normal data distribution. The results showed that the experimental group scored higher (89.58) than the control group (78.85), with a significance value of 0.000 < 0.05, indicating a significant effect. Therefore, the Smart Windows Puzzle media is proven effective in enhancing Islamic Education learning outcomes. Abstract

This study integrates the Grief Cycle with the Technology Acceptance Model (TAM) to explore the emotional dynamics of adopting ChatGPT, a deep learning-based technology, at Indonesia's National Research and Innovation Agency (BRIN), with implications for enhancing personalized learning in higher education. Synthesizing data from three secondary studies, quantitative TAM analysis, qualitative topic modeling from a 2023 survey, and Grief Cycle analysis of BRIN's organizational changes (2016-2019), this research maps researchers' emotional responses, from denial to acceptance, toward AI adoption. Findings reveal that perceived usefulness drives adoption intent, but ethical concerns, such as risks of dependency and threats to scientific integrity, limit adoption rates. This framework provides novel insights into managing emotional barriers to disruptive technologies in Indonesia's public R&D context. By drawing parallels to higher education, it offers strategies to overcome faculty resistance to AI, supporting personalized learning through adaptive tools like virtual tutors. Policy recommendations, including ethics training and transparency guidelines, promote sustainable and responsible AI adoption in R&D and higher education.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the role of assessment in supporting deep learning in mathematics through a qualitative literature review method. Data were obtained from a systematic search on Google Scholar, DOAJ, and the national education repository using the keywords 'deep learning' and 'mathematics assessment,' focusing on articles published since 2022 that are relevant to primary and secondary education in Indonesia. Ten articles met the inclusion criteria and were analysed thematically to identify patterns of strategies, outcomes, and the relationship between assessment and deep learning. The results of the study indicate that assessment plays a role not only in measuring final outcomes but also in monitoring thinking processes, conceptual understanding, and the ability to connect material to real-world contexts. The implementation of continuous formative assessment, projects, portfolios, and instruments based on Higher Order Thinking Skills (HOTS) has proven effective in promoting student engagement, providing constructive feedback, and strengthening 21st-century skills. The integration of authentic assessment with innovative learning models such as Indonesian Realistic Mathematics Education (PMRI), Problem-Based Learning, Project-Based Learning, and interactive evaluation technology enriches the learning experience and supports the achievement of the Pancasila learner profile. Challenges include limitations in teacher understanding, learning resources, and a tendency for assessment to focus on final outcomes. This study recommends teacher training, the development of practical guidelines, and further research to optimise the integration of assessment and deep learning in the context of mathematics education.

Abstract

The implementation of the Pancasila Student Profile (PPP) in economic learning is an important part of realizing students with character and competitiveness. However, its implementation still faces challenges, especially during the initial transition period of the Independent Curriculum. This study aims to describe the implementation of the six dimensions of PPP in economic learning at SMAIT Al-Huda Wonogiri and identify the obstacles faced. This study uses a descriptive qualitative approach with data collection techniques through interviews, observations, and documentation. The resource persons for this research include a curriculum teacher, an economics teacher and three students. Data analysis used for data collection, data reduction, data presentation and conclusion drawn. The results of the study show that the six dimensions of PPP have been integrated in economic learning, including through thematic recitation, cross-cultural discussions, group work, independent tasks, innovative projects, and real-case problem-solving. However, the main obstacle lies in the lack of clarity of teachers' initial understanding of the PPP integration scheme and the lack of concrete outputs due to the focus on soft skills, not the academic aspect. In addition, students also experience difficulties in building critical reasoning skills. It is recommended that schools strengthen teacher training, provide clear technical guidance for PPP implementation, and develop contextual learning strategies that support the strengthening of soft skills on an ongoing basis.

Abstract

The rapid advance of developed education and learning systems has transformed the landscape of English education worldwide. Globalization, digitalization, and the increasing demand for 21st-century skills necessitate that English language teaching (ELT) move beyond traditional methods and adopt innovative pedagogical frameworks. In this context, English is not only a subject of study but also a key competency for global communication, academic achievement, and professional success. This paper examines the role of English education in advanced learning environments, highlighting critical issues such as the integration of digital platforms, the promotion of learner autonomy, the cultivation of critical thinking, and the incorporation of sustainability into language acquisition.Drawing on a mixed-methods approach that combines surveys, interviews, and classroom observations, the study investigates how students and teachers perceive the benefits and challenges of advanced learning practices in English classrooms. Findings reveal that digital tools such as Grammarly, Write & Improve, and other AI-based platforms play a significant role in enhancing language accuracy and learner motivation, yet they also risk fostering overdependence and reducing deeper engagement with language use. The paper argues that English education must strategically integrate technology, global competencies, and critical pedagogy to align with the goals of advanced learning. It concludes by offering recommendations for curriculum innovation, teacher professional development, and institutional support to foster sustainable and future-ready English education.
