Abstract

Ijen Crater, located in Banyuwangi and Bondowoso regencies, is a unique and attractive natural tourist destination, famous for natural phenomena such as the deep blue crater lake and rare blue fire. This article discusses the development potential of Ijen Crater as a sustainable tourist destination, focusing on aspects of attractions, facilities and accessibility. Attraction aspects include natural beauty and local culture, such as sunrise views, sulfur miners, and folklore. Existing facilities, although covering basic needs, still need to be improved to support the increasing number of tourists, especially in terms of accommodation, climbing equipment, and educational facilities. Accessibility to Kawah Ijen, while good, could be improved through the development of alternative hiking trails and public transportation. These additions and improvements are expected to enhance the tourist experience and ensure the sustainability of the environment around Kawah Ijen

The research method used is quantitative descriptive. The results of the study show that domestic waste management activities through the waste bank program for environmental cleanliness include waste sorting carried out by members by providing waste containers for organic and inorganic waste, depositing waste whose time changes no longer according to the initial agreement, weighing waste of one to more than five kilograms each time depositing, recording later the amount of money received can be taken directly or stored in the passbook, waste transportation is carried out by the manager to each member's house who cannot deposit their waste directly to the waste bank location, and the use of waste by members including organic waste is used as animal feed and ecoenzymes. As for inorganic waste, it is made by handicrafts or used according to the same/different functions.

Abstract

The aim of this study is to determine the influence of using Audio-Visual Media on Students' Learning Outcomes in the subject of Biodiversity at SMA N 1 Sukodadi. This research employs a Quasi-Experimental method with a Nonequivalent Control Group Design. The population of this study consists of four classes of eleventh-grade students in Phase F. The sample includes students from class XI C.2 as the control group, receiving conventional treatment, and students from class XI C.3 as the experimental group, receiving audio-visual media treatment. Data collection was carried out through pretests and posttests on students' learning outcomes, complemented by observations and documentation. Data analysis was conducted using parametric statistics with a T-Test. The results of this study indicate that the use of audio-visual media in the experimental class has a significant effect on improving students' learning outcomes in the subject of biodiversity. The average increase in students' learning outcomes (pretest and posttest) in the experimental class is higher than in the control class, with a comparison of 76.2% and 30.58

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of the application of Mangats (Modul Semangat Nasionalisme) on improving student learning outcomes in the subject of Social Studies at SMP Negeri 11 Malang. The background of this research is social studies learning that is considered less interesting by students because it is theoretical and less relevant to everyday life, so that the learning provided by teachers tends to be limited to textbooks. The lack of innovation in the learning process makes students less interested in learning the material. This results in many students experiencing a decrease in interest in learning and low learning outcomes, especially in material about the lives of Indonesian people during colonialism and imperialism. This study used a quantitative approach with a quasi-experimental design through pretest and posttest measurements on two groups, namely the experimental group that used the Mangats application and the control group that did not use it. Data were collected through observation, questionnaires, and tests. The data were analyzed using Paired Sample T-test to see the difference in pretest and posttest results in both groups. The results of the analysis showed that the use of the Mangats application significantly improved student learning outcomes, with the average value of the posttest being much higher than the pretest. This shows that the Mangats application is effective in increasing students' interest and understanding in Social Studies subjects at SMP Negeri 11 Malang

Abstract

Bojonegoro Regency, East Java, is an area with a rich culture that reflects a mix of ethnicities, traditions and local beliefs that have been passed down from generation to generation. This research aims to identify the socio-cultural elements of the Bojonegoro community as well as the impact of modernization on the local social structure and culture. The method used is a descriptive qualitative approach with data collection through literature study and participant observation. The research results show that the people of Bojonegoro still uphold the values of mutual cooperation, traditional arts and traditional rituals which reflect a strong cultural identity. However, modernization through the oil and gas energy sector and information technology has triggered changes in consumption patterns, lifestyles and gender roles. Adaptation to these changes is seen through cultural innovation that remains rooted in traditional values. It is hoped that this study will become a reference in preserving local culture and formulating policies based on local wisdom.

Abstract

Indonesia’s maritime area is approximately 3.1 km2 including inland areas, archipelagic waters, territorial seas and the Exclusive Economic Zone. Indonesia’s diverse and rich marine ecosystems are home to abundant fishery resources, including bigeye tuna (Thunnus Obesus). Overfishing practices have caused a decline in the population of this fish, with a significant impact on the balance of the marine ecosystem in the Banda Sea. Unsustainable fishing practices, the use of destructive fishing gear, and minimal supervision and law enforcement against illegal fishing practices have contributed to the decline in the population of bigeye tuna (Thunnus Obesus). The objective of this article is to investigate the impact of overfishing on the health of marine ecosystem of bigeye Tuna in the Banda sea. This article is based on a literature review of various scientific sources, research resources, research reports, and statistical data on the impact of overfishing on the balance of the Indonesian marine ecosystem. The impacts of overfishing of bigeye tuna (Thunnus Obesus) are: Drastic Decrease in Tuna Population, Food Chain Imbalance, Impact on Other Species, Marine Habitat Damage, and Biodiversity Decline, thus becoming a national and global threat. To overcome the impacts of overfishing of bigeye tuna in the Banda Sea, it is necessary to set strict catch quotas, stricter supervision and law enforcement, use of environmentally friendly fishing gear, and restoration of damaged marine habitats

Abstract

Instructional media is a device that allows students to acquire information , knowledge , experience,  and  skill  in  teaching  and  learning    process.  The  problem  often  faced  by teachers in teaching is to choose appropriate instructional media in the learning process so  that  students  fully  understand  the  given  subject.  This  study  aimed  to  determine differences in cognitive learning outcomes of students after using gradual and thorough Nearpod  application  instructional  media  based  on  cognitive  load  theory  to  subject diversity of flora and fauna in Indonesia. This research is a quasi experimental factorial design with 2 × 1. Source of this study come from students , media specialists , and expert material obtained from the research questionnaire. Meanwhile learning outcomes data that is obtained through a pre-test and post-test .The results  based on the score of the student  post-test  shows  that  class  which  use  the  Nearpod  application  media    had  an average value of 90, better than class that use no instructional media which scored 74 so there  is  significant  differences  occurred  between  the  three  classesis  evidenced  in  the results of the Independent T Test results that have a Sig. 0,031 this suggests there is a difference , then H0 is rejected and H1 accepted . In other words, Nearpod application media influenced on student learning outcomes . Based on this study it is suggested that  the teacher can use a Nearpod application instructional media in teaching process

Abstract

The Nadran tradition in the coastal community of Cirebon, West Java, is a form of local wisdom that has existed for a long time and is an integral part of their social and cultural life. This study discusses the socio-cultural dynamics of the coastal community of North West Java amidst modernization, with a focus on the Nadran tradition in the coastal community of Cirebon. This study uses a literature study method with a qualitative approach to explore how the Nadran tradition is maintained, changed, and integrated into the increasingly modern life of society. The findings of this study indicate that the Nadran tradition not only functions as a ritual of gratitude for fishermen for marine products, but also as a means of strengthening social ties and cultural identity amidst rapid social change. On the other hand, modernization brings challenges and opportunities for the sustainability of this tradition. The results of this study are expected to provide insight into efforts to preserve local culture in the context of sustainable modernization.
