Abstract

Character education becomes the main focus of Islamic education at Islamic Senior High School (MAN) as an effort to form a generation of young people with good qualities and morals. This article explores the main problem faced in the implementation of education character in Madrasah Aliyah and effective strategies for overcoming challenges. A review of literature, study cases, and articles also identify the role of important stakeholders, such as teachers, parents, and communities, in strengthening the character of students. This analysis gives an outlook deep about how Madrasah Aliyah can become an institution of effective education in the form of appropriate character with Islamic values in the modern era. The purpose of implementing education character at tMadrasah Aliyah curriculum is to form Madrasah Aliyah students in order to become individuals who own strong Islamic characters, such as honesty, discipline, responsibility, tolerance, and work hard that are appropriate to the teachings of Islam. The novelty of this study is the development of Independent Curriculum in which the innovation of integrated curriculum in a holistic way between education, character, and learning academics, so values and character become an integral part of every lesson.

Abstract

This study aims to evaluate the effectiveness of diagnostic assessment in identifying students' initial needs, as well as its influence on the planning and implementation of learning which is more responsive and by student characteristics. The research method used is field research with a descriptive approach. Primary data was obtained through observation results while field data was obtained through learning assessments. Secondary data were collected from relevant literature studies and journal articles supporting this study. The study's findings showed that diagnostic assessment at SDN Pamaroh 1 was proven to identify students' learning needs more specifically. Thus, teachers were more easily adjust their teaching methods. It not only increases students' understanding of PAI material but also increases their motivation and involvement during the learning process. Based on these findings, it is recommended that more intensive and continuous training should be provided for teachers regarding diagnostic assessment techniques and their use in the independent curriculum. In addition, further research is necessitated to explore effective ways to overcome the obstacles faced and to measure the long-term impact of diagnostic assessment on student learning outcomes.

Abstract

The aim of this research is to describe learning Qira'ah Al-Qusr'an using the Tilawati Mobile application in the digital era. This application is designed to facilitate interactive learning of recitation of Al-Qur'an by using modern features such as voice recording, real-time evaluation, qori and mutual options, and visualization of recitation. The main aim of this application is to improve and assist the users’ Al-Qur'an reading skills with greater accuracy and fluency while increasing understanding of the rules of recitation and the context of the meaning contained in the Quran. This research employed library research as it is applicable with the aim of this research. The research procedures covered documents the implementation of technology in Islamic religious education, explores user responses to this digital innovation, and elaborates its impact on the understanding and development of qira'ah competencies. By integrating technology into religious learning, the Tilawati Mobile application acts as an effective tool in facilitating holistic learning of Al-Qur’an in the digital era.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the role of culture at Madrasah Aliyah Tahfidz Al-Qur'an Pesanggaran Banyuwangi in an effort to understand the cultural values in shaping student character and maintaining the sustainability of local culture. The research method used was qualitative by conducting in-depth interviews with school principals, teachers, administrative staff, and students. The interview results showed that the madrasa has a strong commitment to maintaining and strengthening cultural values in the educational environment, such as honesty, hard work, social awareness, and respect for local traditions. The main findings included the integration of cultural values in learning, the active role of all stakeholders in promoting cultural values, and students’ awareness of the importance of local culture The main challenge faced was the influence of globalization and technology which could divert students’ attention from local cultural values. Therefore, continuous efforts are needed to promote cultural values and increase students’ understanding and appreciation of local culture. This study contributes to an understandings of the role of culture in education and shows how an educational institution can become an agent for the maintenance and development of local culture.

Abstract

This study aims to understand the development of emotional intelligence in middle school students. The research method used is qualitative, employing a library research approach to gather information. Both primary and secondary data sources were used. Primary sources include books, journal articles, or national and international scientific publications. Secondary sources are derived from studies relevant to the research topic. For data analysis, the authors referred to Miles and Huberman's framework, which includes data collection, data reduction, and conclusion drawing. The results of this study highlight several aspects of emotional intelligence: recognizing one's own emotions, managing emotions, self-motivation, recognizing others' emotions (empathy), and building relationships. Emotional intelligence is crucial to be enhanced and developed in students at school, as middle school is a pivotal age for emotional development. One effective way to improve students' emotional intelligence is through the implementation of Islamic education, because students will become emotionally intelligent and their learning outcomes will improve.
