Abstract

This study aims to determine how difficult it is for students to translate Qiraah in Muthala'ah learning. This study is a descriptive qualitative study. The subjects of the study were 4th semester students in the 2025/2026 academic year. Data collection was carried out through documentation and performance with performance guidelines and documents. The data collected from the results of this study will be analyzed using qualitative data analysis.The results of the study show that the difficulties faced by students in translating Qira'ah in Muthala'ah learning can be seen in several aspects, namely 1) Vocabulary. 2) Phrases, 3) Sentence structure, 4) Understanding, and 5) Socio-cultural.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the contribution of language environment management to improving the quality of Arabic language learning at the Darul Huffadh Tuju-Tuju Kajuara Bone Islamic boarding school. Using a qualitative approach with a case study design, data were collected through in-depth interviews, participatory observation, and documentation, and analysed inductively through reduction, presentation, and conclusion drawing techniques. The results of the study indicate that the creation of an Arabic language environment (bi'ah 'arabiyyah) is carried out systematically through programme planning, organisation of the Language Advisory Council (LAC) structure, implementation of language activities, and continuous evaluation. The contribution of language environment management includes improving istima’, kalam, qira’ah, and kitabah skills; increasing students' motivation and confidence; shaping a disciplined character and love for the Arabic language; and integrating formal and non-formal learning. Supporting factors include leadership commitment, student involvement, availability of facilities, and a religious pesantren culture. Meanwhile, inhibiting factors include variations in student backgrounds, limited teaching staff, low language awareness, and time constraints. These findings are in line with behaviourism theory (Skinner, 1953) and social learning theory (Bandura, 1986), which emphasise the importance of the environment in shaping behaviour and language acquisition. This study recommends strengthening the institutionalisation of LAC, a differentiated approach, language awareness campaigns, and the integration of language programmes with the curriculum. Thus, Arabic language environment management has proven to be effective in improving the quality of learning and shaping a generation of students who are communicative, religious, and globally competitive

Abstract

This research aims to identify the level of writing anxiety among tenth-grade students at MAN 5 Bogor and its relationship with their writing skills. The study employs a quantitative correlational method, with a sample of 74 students selected through Proportional Random Sampling from a total population of 285 students. Data collection techniques included a writing anxiety questionnaire based on the Second Language Writing Anxiety Inventory (SLWAI) by Cheng, using a Likert scale, as well as interviews and writing tests. The collected data was analyzed using the Product Moment Correlation formula. The results indicate that students’ writing anxiety falls into the "moderate" category, with an average score of 63.62. Correlation analysis revealed that the rxy value was 0.622, which is higher than the critical values at the 5% significance level (0.229) and the 1% significance level (0.298). Accordingly, the alternative hypothesis (Ha) was accepted, and the null hypothesis (Ho) was rejected, confirming a statistically significant relationship between writing anxiety and writing skills. However, the strength of this relationship is classified as "moderate," suggesting that while writing anxiety affects writing skills, it is not the sole determinant of students' writing performance

Abstract

This study aims to examine the strategic role of the Arabic language in shaping the social and cultural identity of Arab society. The main focus of this review is how Arabic functions as a representation of social identity, a medium for preserving cultural values, and a means of forming religious identity and collective solidarity among Muslims. The method used is qualitative research based on a literature review, analyzing various scientific sources including journals, books, and articles published within the last five years. Data were collected through library research from national and international academic databases, then analyzed thematically through data reduction, categorization, and synthesis processes. The results indicate that Arabic not only serves as a communication tool but also as a symbol of collective identity that binds social structures, cultural values, and religious unity within Arab society. Arabic plays a fundamental role in maintaining cultural continuity and spirituality, while also acting as a means of social integration within Arab communities and the global Muslim ummah.

Abstract

This article is a literature review that focuses on examining the management of Arabic language learning in madrasah ibtidaiyah in the community-based independent curriculum. The results of the study show that the management of Arabic language learning in madrasah ibtidaiyah in the community-based independent curriculum is built on three stages, namely planning, implementation, and evaluation of Arabic language learning. At the planning stage, the preparation of the Madrasah Operational Curriculum (KOM), the preparation of Learning Objectives (TP) and the Flow of Learning Objectives (ATP), the preparation of teaching modules, was carried out. At the implementation stage, difference learning and P5-PPRA design (Pancasila Student Profile Strengthening Project and Rahmatan Lil Alamin Student Profile) were carried out. As for the evaluation stage, formative and summative evaluations need to be carried out to ensure that all Arabic learning processes are in the right flow in terms of planning and implementation as a stage, in which the evaluation is an evaluation as a stage of management of Arabic learning at madrasah ibtidaiyah in an independent community-based curriculum

Abstract

The development of digital technology has changed the paradigm of Arabic language learning from conventional methods to a more interactive, adaptive, and data-driven approach. This article takes an in-depth look at the use of mobile applications such as Duolingo, Mondly, and Memrise, as well as Learning Management System (LMS) platforms such as Teachmint and Learning Al-Jazeera in Arabic language learning. This research uses a systematic literature review approach to national and international. The results of the analysis show that mobile applications are effective in building motivation and independent learning habits through gamification and micro-learning mechanisms, while LMS is superior in managing structured, collaborative, and assessment-based learning. Recent literature studies (Okumuş Dağdeler, 2023; Çobanoğullari & Özbek, 2025) also confirm that the integration of AI-powered chatbots and spaced repetition techniques can significantly improve vocabulary retention and speaking skills. However, teachers' limited digital literacy, shallow grammatical content, and unequal access to technology remain major challenges. This study confirms that collaboration between mobile applications and LMS can produce a more effective, contextual Arabic language learning model that is suited to the characteristics of the digital generation. Further research is recommended to evaluate the empirical application of these two media in the context of formal classrooms in Indonesia.

Abstract

اللغة العربية هي إحدى اللغات المهمة لتعلمها، خاصة في مؤسسات التعليم الديني. ومع ذلك، فإن بعض المدارس بما في ذلك المدرسة الابتدائية الإسلامية المتكاملة نور الكوثر مكسر لا تزال إتقان مهارة الكلام ضعيفة.  ويرجع السبب في ذلك إلى عدة أمور منها استخدام طريقة التعلم. إحدى الطرق التي أثبتت فعاليتها في إتقان مهارة الكلام هي طريقة السمعية والشفوية. يهدف هذا البحث ل: (1) معرفة مهارة الكلام لتلميذات الصف السادس بالمدرسة الابتدائية الإسلامية المتكاملة نور الكوثر مكسر قبل وبعد استخدام الطريقة السمعية والشفوية, (2) معرفة تأثير الطريقة السمعية والشفاوية على إتقان مهارة الكلام باللغة العربية لتلميذات الصف السادس  بالمدرسة الابتدائية الإسلامية المتكاملة نور الكوثر مكسر. نوع البحث لذي يستخدم في هذا البحث هو قبل التجريبية. يستخدم هذا البحث منهجاً كمياً بنوعية البحث قبل التجربية على شكل الاختبار القبلي والاختبار البعدي بمجموعة واحدة. تقنيات جمع البيانات المستخدمة هي الاختبارات والملاحظة والتوثيق. أظهرت نتائج هذا البحث أن (1) قبل تطبيق الطريقة يظهر متوسط قيمة الاختبار القبلي 56.67 بينما بعد تطبيق الطريقة يظهر متوسط قيمة الاختبار البعدي  90.83 (2) استنادًا إلى نتائج التحليل الوصفي، يقع متوسط درجة مهارة الكلام باللغة العربية لتلميذات الاختبار القبلي في الفئة المنخفضة 56.67، وهناك زيادة بعد الاختبار البعدي حيث بلغت الدرجة 90.83. بناءً على نتائج اختبار T، يتم الحصول على قيمة 0.000 أقل من 0.05 فإن Hₐ  مقبولة. مما يثبت أن الطريقة السمعية والشفوية لها تأثير على إتقان مهارة الكلام باللغة العربية لتلميذات الصف السادس بالمدرسة الابتدائية الإسلامية المتكاملة نور الكوثر مكسر بنسبة 75%.

Abstract

This research is motivated by heterogeneous class conditions, especially in Arabic language learning, where students' abilities significantly differ. This difference is especially seen between students with a background in Islamic boarding school education and those without, thus requiring a learning approach responsive to this diversity. This study aims to examine the effectiveness of differentiated learning in Arabic language learning, especially reading skills, and to analyze its impact on students' intrinsic and extrinsic motivation. The method used is quantitative research with a pre-experimental one-group pretest post-test type design. The subjects of this study were 24 students of class XI IPS who had followed the differentiated learning process. The main instrument was a motivation questionnaire compiled based on Gardner and Lambert's theory and observations during the learning process. Differentiated learning was implemented by dividing students into three groups (superior, medium, and low) based on the initial diagnostic assessment. Adjustments were made to the context of the reading text and trigger questions as an implementation of the process differentiation. The data analysis showed a significant difference between the pretest and post- test scores of students' learning motivation, as evidenced by the Paired Samples t-test with a significance value of 0.000 (p < 0.05). This finding indicates that the application of differentiated learning effectively increases students' learning motivation and improves Arabic reading skills. These findings confirm that adaptive and student-centered learning strategies are essential to creating meaningful learning experiences. Differentiated learning is effective in increasing students' learning motivation. With this approach, students become more active in asking questions without feeling inferior to their smarter friends. They also show higher persistence in completing assignments despite facing challenges because the level of difficulty of the material is adjusted to their respective abilities. In addition, differentiated learning also contributes significantly to strengthening students' reading skills.

Abstract

The study of Arabic began with the many problems and errors in the way Arabs spoke. The purpose of this study, known as nahwu, was to protect the Arabic language in the Qur'an from these errors. Starting from the first nahwu school in Basrah, and later, new schools emerged in Kufa, Baghdad, Andalusia, and Egypt. as well as the role of local scholars in developing and critiquing classical nahwu. Each of these schools has its own characteristics and history, which then resulted in different rules and teaching methods. Andalusia as the center of the spread of Islamic civilization in the western region has an important role in the spread of knowledge. This study examines the history of the Andalusian and Egyptian schools of thought, as well as the figures who helped shape them. This study uses library research methods to examine related materials and data collection techniques through document review, namely collecting, reviewing, and analyzing scientific manuscripts related to the science of nahwu in Andalusia and Egypt.

Abstract

Arabic is a language rich in rules, structures, and vocabulary. It is also one of the oldest languages in the world. As Muslims, we are obligated to understand Arabic. The Quran, the guide to life for Muslims, was revealed in Arabic. It is impossible for us to understand the Quran without mastering Arabic. This study aims to identify various difficulties in learning Arabic among fourth-semester students of the Islamic Religious Education (PAI) Study Program at IAIN Parepare. These difficulties will be analyzed and then solutions will be proposed. This is a qualitative study using data collection techniques such as observation, interviews, and documentation. Data analysis was conducted using inductive and deductive methods, giving meaning to the collected data, and then drawing conclusions. The results of this study indicate that: 1) Factors contributing to difficulties in learning Arabic among fourth-semester students of the Islamic Religious Education (PAI) Study Program at IAIN Parepare include educators, students, educational background, limited vocabulary, methods, media, time, facilities, environment, physiological factors, and psychological factors. 2) Efforts to overcome difficulties in learning Arabic in the PAI Study Program at IAIN Parepare include Arabic language tutoring, attracting student interest, providing attention, creating a pleasant atmosphere, providing adequate facilities and infrastructure, practicing Arabic language courses, holding learning activities and creating Arabic language study groups
