Jurnal Pendidikan Sekolah Dasar published by the Universitas Pelita Bangsa. This journal publishes scientific papers that discuss the results of research studies and literature reviews as well as the latest issues and trends that occur in elementary school science studies. This journal is published twice a year, in April and October. In addition, this journal has the following special sections: Learning & Instruction: consists of theoretical and empirical research studies on learning by teaching, knowledge and practice, the learner itself, and its context (integrative thematic learning, elementary school science learning, social science in elementary schools, moral education, character and citizenship in elementary schools , learning mathematics in elementary schools, learning Indonesian, and literature in elementary schools, learning culture and local wisdom in elementary schools) Issues and Trends in Elementary Schools: consists mainly of analytical, interpretive, or persuasive essays on current educational, social, or philosophical issues and trends that are relevant to teaching in primary schools. This particular section primarily aims to promote informed dialogue on current issues in elementary school education, and carefully reasoned papers representing various points of view are welcomed. Manuscripts sent for this section can be in the form of position papers, polemic works, or creative comments. Educational psychology in elementary schools: consists of studies that discuss the psychology of elementary school children, the psychology of elementary school environments, the psychology of teachers as educators, the development of elementary school-age children, discussing psychological problems related to the scope of primary schools. Elementary School Teacher Professional Education: consists of original empirical and / or theoretical research that examine elementary school teacher preparation, elementary school teacher work, or how teacher work is influenced by a broader context. Education Policy and Analysis in elementary schools: including reports on the objectives and / or basic principles of policies adopted by the government, interest groups, school districts, especially policies regarding education in elementary schools. Educational technology in elementary schools: receive studies on the development and analysis of learning technologies especially in elementary schools receive studies and development of technology-based learning media and traditional media that have been modified, receive studies on the development of models, strategies, and approaches in learning in elementary schools, and accept development management technology systems at elementary schools.

This study explores the integration of the 3R concept (Reduce, Reuse, Recycle) into art education as a pedagogical innovation to support sustainable education. The research employed a systematic literature review using the PRISMA framework, analyzing relevant studies published in the last five years. The findings reveal that the application of 3R principles in art activities consistently enhances students’ critical thinking, creativity, and problem-solving skills through the transformation of waste materials into aesthetic and functional artworks. In addition, 3R integration has been proven to strengthen students’ environmental awareness, social responsibility, and ecological consciousness. These results suggest that 3R-based art education not only contributes to the development of soft skills but also supports the achievement of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly in the areas of quality education and environmental sustainability

Kreativitas dan berpikir inovatif merupakan keterampilan penting abad ke-21, namun praktik pendidikan masih sering menekankan aspek kognitif daripada pengembangan kreativitas. Artikel ini bertujuan menganalisis kontribusi aktivitas seni dalam melatih keluwesan, orisinalitas, dan kemampuan pemecahan masalah. Metode penelitian menggunakan kajian literatur sistematis terhadap artikel jurnal internasional bereputasi tahun 2022–2025. Hasil kajian menunjukkan bahwa aktivitas seni, baik seni visual, musik, drama, maupun seni digital, secara konsisten berpengaruh positif terhadap pengembangan kreativitas siswa. Seni terbukti mendorong fleksibilitas berpikir, melahirkan ide-ide orisinal, serta memperkuat keterampilan problem solving melalui proses eksplorasi dan kolaborasi. Dengan demikian, integrasi seni dalam kurikulum pendidikan dasar dan menengah penting untuk menyiapkan generasi yang adaptif dan inovatif.

Pembentukan sikap apresiatif dan penghargaan terhadap pendapat orang lain merupakan aspek penting dalam pendidikan karakter abad ke-21. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis bagaimana siswa sekolah dasar dapat dilatih untuk memberikan apresiasi, kritik yang santun, dan menghormati perbedaan karya serta perspektif teman. Metode penelitian menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif deskriptif dengan partisipan 40 siswa kelas IV dan V serta 4 guru di salah satu SD Negeri di Jakarta. Data dikumpulkan melalui observasi, wawancara, angket, dan dokumentasi, kemudian dianalisis dengan teknik analisis tematik. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa sebagian besar siswa mampu memberikan apresiasi sederhana (75%) dan menghormati perbedaan karya (70%), meskipun keterampilan memberikan kritik santun masih rendah (55%). Temuan ini menegaskan perlunya strategi pembelajaran kolaboratif dan reflektif untuk memperkuat sikap apresiatif siswa.

Penelitian ini bertujuan memetakan tren global penelitian pendidikan seni dalam penanaman nilai-nilai karakter melalui analisis bibliometrik terhadap 99 artikel terindeks Scopus pada periode 2020–2025. Data dianalisis menggunakan VOSviewer untuk memvisualisasikan tren publikasi, sebaran negara, kolaborasi penulis, serta keterkaitan kata kunci. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan peningkatan konsisten jumlah publikasi, dengan Amerika Serikat, China, dan Spanyol sebagai kontributor utama, sementara Asia Tenggara, termasuk Indonesia, mulai menunjukkan perkembangan positif. Analisis kata kunci mengidentifikasi tujuh klaster utama, dengan art education dan critical thinking sebagai tema dominan, disertai isu baru seperti liberal arts education, artificial intelligence, dan STEM. Peta kepadatan menegaskan fokus riset pada seni sebagai sarana strategis dalam mengembangkan keterampilan berpikir kritis, kreativitas, dan empati, sekaligus membuka peluang kajian baru pada integrasi seni dengan teknologi, terapi, dan kurikulum lintas disiplin. Temuan ini menegaskan relevansi pendidikan seni sebagai instrumen pembentukan karakter di era global.

Kemampuan mendengarkan irama memiliki peran penting dalam pengembangan keterampilan bernyanyi pada anak usia sekolah dasar. Namun, masih banyak siswa yang mengalami kesulitan menyesuaikan ketepatan nada dan tempo karena keterbatasan kemampuan mendengar irama secara konsisten. Penelitian ini bertujuan menelaah hubungan antara kemampuan mendengarkan irama dengan peningkatan keterampilan bernyanyi. Metode yang digunakan adalah literature review dari berbagai jurnal terbitan 2016–2025 yang relevan dengan topik musik dan pendidikan dasar. Hasil kajian menunjukkan bahwa latihan mendengarkan irama secara terarah dapat meningkatkan kontrol vokal, kepekaan musikal, serta kualitas ekspresi bernyanyi siswa. Dengan demikian, keterampilan mendengarkan irama terbukti menjadi fondasi penting dalam proses pembelajaran musik di sekolah dasar.

Critical Thinking is a key component of the graduate profile and poses a significant challenge in learning, including in elementary education. In this study, deep learning can encourage students to discover the meaning of what they learn, engage them in analyzing information, making connections between ideas or information, and solve problems. With STEAM pedagogical practices integrated with Design Thinking, students can engage in three deep learning experiences: understanding, applying, and reflecting. Quantitative data revealed that 164 fifth-grade elementary school students were homogeneously divided into two classes: a control class and an experimental class. A significant value of 0.000 <0.05 was obtained, with an n-gain of 0.63, categorized as moderate. STEAM integrated with Design Thinking, implemented as a pedagogical practice for deep learning, provides students with the opportunity to analyze needs, process and evaluate information, and develop ideas based on considerations that have gone through an iterative thinking process. The application of STEAM integrated with Design Thinking in deep learning encourages students to apply knowledge to new, real-world contexts through multidisciplinary approaches to build in-depth understanding.Keyword:Deep Learning, STEAM, Design Thinking, Critical Thinking

Penelitian ini bertujuan mengkaji bagaimana pembelajaran seni berperan dalam menumbuhkan kedisiplinan, ketangguhan, dan tanggung jawab anak. Permasalahan utama terletak pada kurangnya media pembelajaran yang mampu menanamkan nilai karakter melalui pengalaman langsung. Metode penelitian kualitatif dengan pendekatan studi kasus digunakan untuk mengeksplorasi praktik pembelajaran seni pada siswa sekolah dasar. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa melalui proses kreatif, mulai dari perencanaan, pelaksanaan, hingga penyelesaian karya, anak terbiasa bersikap tekun, disiplin, pantang menyerah, serta bertanggung jawab menyelesaikan tugas hingga tuntas. Pembelajaran seni tidak hanya melatih keterampilan estetik, tetapi juga menja di wahana internalisasi nilai karakter yang kontekstual dan berkesinambungan.

This study aims to examine the validity of sign language-based virtual manipulatives media for teaching mathematics to deaf-mute students in inclusive elementary schools. The research employed a Research and Development (R&D) method using the ADDIE development model. Validation was conducted by three categories of experts: media expert, inclusive instructional design expert, and mathematics content expert. The instrument used was a validation sheet featuring a Likert scale and a qualitative feedback column. The validation results showed that the media achieved an average score of 94.73%, placing it in the "very valid" category. These findings indicate that the developed media has met technical, pedagogical, and inclusive criteria and is feasible for use in the implementation stage of learning. This research contributes to the development of adaptive and accessible digital learning media for students with special needs, particularly those who are deaf-mute, and supports the implementation of quality inclusive education.

This study was motivated by the many variables that influence the success of online learning in elementary schools. Therefore, this study aims to extract these variables to produce several main factors that can explain all the variance. This study is quantitative, adopting a multivariate statistical approach with Exploratory Factor Analysis (EFA). The research subjects were 108 teachers from Al Azhar 32 Islamic Elementary School, Telkom Elementary School, Yari International School, and SafaMarwa Islamic International School. From the opinion survey, 23 variables were obtained that influenced the success of online learning in elementary schools. After going through a series of EFA analysis procedures, 20 variables were successfully extracted into 8 main factors, namely: (1) Psychological Readiness and Self-Regulation (3.152), (2) Digital Learning Technology Support (2.264), (3) Pedagogical and Professional Competence of Teachers (1.663), (4) Quality of Learning Design and Materials (1.426), (5) Teachers' Instructional Communication (1.313), (6) Home Learning Environment Support (1.303), (7) Teacher and Student Technology Capabilities (1.054), and (8) Student Social and Academic Participation (1.030).

Elementary school students' understanding of science concepts is often evaluated only from the final score, without considering the cognitive process when answering questions. This study aims to visualize the relationship between scores, answer accuracy, and completion time through a pairplot approach. The method used is a descriptive quantitative study with data from 31 multiple-choice questions completed online via Quizizz. The results show a very strong positive correlation between the number of correct answers and the final score, and a strong negative correlation between incorrect answers and the score. Completion time shows a weak correlation to score and accuracy, indicating that speed is not the main determinant of success. Pairplots make it easier to identify student performance patterns, such as fast-accurate and slow-inaccurate groups. This visualization is useful in designing more targeted learning interventions. It is recommended that teachers integrate data visualization analysis into evaluations for a more comprehensive conceptual understanding.
