Abstract

Abstract Educational leadership becomes increasingly important in the era of Merdeka Belajar, where the dynamics of education continue to change and develop. The era of Merdeka Belajar opens a new space for the transformation of educational leadership in Indonesia. In this context, transformational and transactional approaches have become the main focus in understanding the essence of effective educational leadership. However, the integration of these two approaches still requires further exploration. This research aims to understand the essence of effective educational leadership through the integration of transformational and transactional approaches in the era of Merdeka Belajar. Using the literature study method, this article delves into related literature to explore the concepts of transformational and transactional leadership, and to identify possible integrations between them. The results of the analysis show that the integration of transformational and transactional approaches in educational leadership can create a more holistic and adaptive leadership model. This integration allows educational leaders to combine the inspirational and motivational elements of transformational leadership with the tactical and administrative aspects of transactional leadership. The transformational approach focuses on vision, inspiration, and empowerment, while the transactional approach emphasizes clarity of expectations and consequences. Through a review of literature and empirical studies, this article illustrates the strategies and practices required for educational leaders to build inclusive learning environments, motivate staff and students, increase organizational commitment and performance, and sustainably improve academic outcomes. The findings highlight the importance of leaders' adaptability in responding to the demands of constant change in today's educational development. Abstrak Kepemimpinan pendidikan menjadi semakin penting di era Merdeka Belajar, di mana dinamika pendidikan terus berubah dan berkembang. Era Merdeka Belajar membuka ruang baru bagi transformasi kepemimpinan pendidikan di Indonesia. Dalam konteks ini, pendekatan transformasional dan transaksional telah menjadi fokus utama dalam memahami esensi kepemimpinan pendidikan yang efektif. Namun, integrasi kedua pendekatan ini masih memerlukan eksplorasi lebih lanjut. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk memahami esensi kepemimpinan pendidikan yang efektif melalui integrasi pendekatan transformasional dan transaksional dalam era Merdeka Belajar. Dengan menggunakan metode studi pustaka, artikel ini menggali literatur terkait untuk mengeksplorasi konsep kepemimpinan transformasional dan transaksional, serta untuk mengidentifikasi kemungkinan integrasi di antara keduanya. Hasil analisis menunjukkan bahwa integrasi pendekatan transformasional dan transaksional dalam kepemimpinan pendidikan dapat menciptakan model kepemimpinan yang lebih holistik dan adaptif. Integrasi ini memungkinkan pemimpin pendidikan untuk menggabungkan elemen-elemen inspirasional dan motivasional dari kepemimpinan transformasional dengan aspek-aspek taktis dan administratif dari kepemimpinan transaksional.

Abstract

Based on the observations of researchers, the cause of the lack of maximum ability of students in early literacy is because teachers are still less interesting in providing activities in learning, so that students are easily bored and not interesting for students. This study aims to develop Pop Up Book Media onde-onde City, evaluate the impact of the stimulation of early literacy skills and is expected to provide positive learning and a solid foundation for further development and test the feasibility and effectiveness. The type of research used is Research Development (Research & Development) or commonly abbreviated as R&D. The development research Model that will be used by researchers in developing media Pop Up Book onde-onde City is ADDIE model. The results of this study were seen based on the implementation of product trials conducted in TK Dharma Wanita Mojokerto with a small group test of 5 students obtained a final percentage value of 74% (Valid) and in TK Taman Indria 01 Malang obtained a final percentage value of 88% (very Valid), while for large group trials in TK Dharma Wanita Mojokerto totaling 11 students obtained a final percentage value of 92%(very Valid) and in TK Taman Indria 01 Malang obtained a final percentage value of 94% (very Valid). Thus, the Pop Up Book media of Onde-onde City is declared worthy to be used in the learning process of children aged 5-6 years. Keywords: Media; Pop Up Book; Early Literacy

Abstract

UNICEF reports that the rate of child marriage in Indonesia remains high, reaching approximately 23 percent. This study employs a survey method at Junior High School (SMP Negeri 1 Dau) with a quantitative descriptive approach. Data were collected through an online questionnaire distributed to all eighth-grade students, with a sample of 57 students selected randomly. Data analysis was performed using descriptive statistics and percentages. The results indicate that the main indicators are an increased risk of domestic violence (101.16%) and significant pressure on adolescents (103.50%). Impacts on mental and emotional health, as well as personal and social development disruptions, are also of concern to students, with scores of 98.83% and 97.07%, respectively. The majority of students are aware of the negative impacts of early marriage on education (95.32%) and economic factors (97.66%). However, many students do not fully understand that early marriage can restrict career choices (93.56%) and increase physical health risks (94.73%). These findings suggest that although there is awareness of the negative impacts of early marriage, students' understanding needs to be enhanced to achieve a more comprehensive insight. Abstract

The effectiveness of school administrative staff has a very important role in supporting the smooth running of educational operations. However, in fact, there are still many shortcomings in terms of motivation and productivity of TAS (School Administration Staff) employees which cause their performance in the field to not be optimal due to the lack of professional scale training and career path mapping before they are officially assigned. Based on this, the aim of writing this article is to analyze how to increase the effectiveness of school administration staff through technology-based training programs and career path mapping. Then, this article uses an interpretive qualitative approach and literature to streamline mechanisms and speed up the discovery of new steps according to developments in the current era. Data was collected by reading various library sources and qualitative analysis sourced from various types of literature according to the object of study in the form of collecting and analyzing data through bibliographic annotation techniques accompanied by carrying out neat and structured reviews. The results of this research have shown that technology-based training can significantly improve the technical skills of administrative staff, especially in data management and use of administrative software. Apart from that, career path mapping has also been proven to be able to increase job satisfaction and their motivation to develop more professionally in the future. In the end, the combination of accurate training and clarity in career mapping will result in increased productivity and work efficiency of TAS employees. Therefore, the author recommends that all schools continue and consistently develop technology-based training programs accompanied by systematic career path mapping in order to increase the effectiveness of all school administration staff in this country.

Abstract

Islamic boarding schools are educational institutions that include formal, non-formal and informal education. In Islamic boarding schools, the figure of Musyrifah is used as a caregiver for the students who has the role of guiding the students. The musyrifah who guides the students must provide attention, care, advice, support and good problem solving to the students. The approach given to students must also be appropriate, students prefer musyrifah who can be friends and provide sufficient attention. However, in reality there are musyrifah who make mistakes in their approach to students, so that the students feel uncomfortable in the presence of musyrifah. In response to this, Musyrifah needs the correct method of approach to students so that students are comfortable with Musyrifah's presence, can be open to Musyrifah, and also the support provided by Musyrifah can be channeled well. Apart from that, students need informative social support in the form of suggestions, advice, ideas, input, and providing internet access to support students while they are at the Islamic boarding school. This research uses a qualitative research method with a phenomenological approach. This research is located at the Ar-Rohmah Putri Islamic Boarding School. The research subjects chosen were based on predetermined criteria, namely musyrifah and santri. In this research, researchers used data collection techniques in the form of observation, interviews and documentation. This research also uses technical triangulation and time triangulation to obtain valid research results. The results of this research, the role of a musyrifah in providing informative social support, can have an impact on the openness of students to musyrifah and make it easier for students to be able to face Islamic boarding school life which includes school activities and dormitory activities. The purpose of this research is that the researcher wants to find out how much impact the role of a musyrifah has in providing informative social support to students in Islamic boarding schools, and also the researchers want to know what kind of role of a musyrifah the students can accept well. Abstract

School administrative processes often face various challenges that hinder efficiency and effectiveness due to complex and manual procedures. These issues can negatively impact the management of quality education. The aim of this research is to analyze how lean management is applied in school administration and its effects on efficiency and work effectiveness, especially in today’s digital era. The method used in this study is a literature review by examining various relevant literature, journals, and articles. The results indicate that the application of lean management, supported by technology such as School Management Information Systems (SMIS), successfully reduced administrative processing time by up to 50%, improved data accuracy, and optimized the use of human resources. The conclusion of this study emphasizes that lean management can enhance school administrative performance, but its success greatly depends on effective change management and active staff involvement.

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to describe in detail the management of extracurricular special services in improving students’ soft skills at SMA Negeri 2 Malang and SMK Negeri 1 Purwosari, starting from the management process, strategy, supporting factors, and inhibiting factors and their solutions. This research uses a qualitative approach with a multiple case studies design to obtain more in-depth and varied data. The results of this study explain about improving students’ soft skills through extracurricular management processes, extracurricular strategies, extracurricular supporting factors, and extracurricular inhibiting factors and their solutions at SMA Negeri 2 Malang and SMK Negeri 1 Purwosari. Abstract

This study aims to determine the influence of the internalization of ethical behavior values in local language lessons to improve student politeness. The progression of times has led to a decline in student politeness, necessitating teachers to take action to address this issue. One method employed by guidance and counseling teachers at SMK Muhammadiyah 1 Malang is incorporating ethical behavior values into local language lessons, particularly in the sections on etiquette and politeness. This study uses a qualitative descriptive method. Data collection techniques include interviews and observations. Interviews were conducted with five tenth-grade students. The results indicate that local language plays a significant role in enhancing politeness, as the subject contains several materials related to etiquette and politeness. Local language lessons accompanied by the internalization of ethical behavior values have helped students improve their politeness.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui dampak pelaksanaan seminar “Positive Relationship” untuk membantu siswa agar dapat meningkatkan etika hubungan yang baik dengan teman sebaya. Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi dengan adanya banyak siswa yang memiliki etika kurang baik dalam menjalin hubungan pertemanan yang disebabkan oleh beberapa faktor. Oleh karena itu, pembentukan karakter penting diberikan untuk meningkatkan etika positif dalam menjalin hubungan pertemanan. Penelitian dilaksanakan di kelas 8 SMP Wahid Hasyim Malang. Jenis penelitian yang digunakan adalah eksperimen dengan desain penelitian Single Group Design. Setelah mengumpulkan data, peneliti melaksanakan kegiatan seminar “Positive Relationship”, Technical Meeting dan Gelar Karya “Positive Relationship”. Berdasarkan rangkaian kegiatan “Positive Relationship” menunjukkan hasil bahwa kegiatan yang telah dilakukan dapat membantu peserta didik untuk meningkatkan etika yang mereka miliki terutama dalam berinteraksi dengan teman sebaya yang berada di sekolah. Perubahan tersebut dapat dapat dilihat pada kegiatan gelar karya, pada saat peserta didik menampilkan dan menjelaskan karya berupa poster mengenai Positive Relationship.
