Abstract

Gamification is still not familiar to students in class A13. This research aims to develop gamification learning development media assisted by interactive multimedia that can meet needs, feasibility and attractiveness. The types of data used in this research are quantitative and qualitative data. This research produces gamification assisted by interactive multimedia with PowerPoint class results. Based on validation tests carried out on media experts, material experts and students, it can be concluded that gamification learning media assisted by interactive multimedia is included in the valid category. Abstract

Abstract In the continuously evolving educational landscape, competency-based performance management is considered an effective approach to enhancing education quality. This study aims to explore the implementation of competency-based performance management among teachers and educational staff in Maros Regency, South Sulawesi Province. The research employed a descriptive qualitative method with 30 teachers and 15 educational staff selected purposively based on their work experience and involvement in educational activities. Data collection was conducted through in- depth interviews, observations, and document analysis. The findings indicate that the majority of respondents have sufficient work experience and are actively engaged in educational activities. Classroom teaching emerged as the most frequent educational activity performed by the respondents. The relevance and urgency of implementing competency-based performance management as a solution to improve education quality in Maros Regency are highlighted. This study offers valuable insights for the development of training and competency development programs for teachers and educational staff. Abstrak Dalam era pendidikan yang terus berkembang, manajemen kinerja berbasis kompetensi menjadi salah satu pendekatan yang dianggap efektif dalam meningkatkan kualitas pendidikan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengeksplorasi penerapan manajemen kinerja berbasis kompetensi bagi guru dan tenaga kependidikan di Kabupaten Maros, Provinsi Sulawesi Selatan. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah kualitatif deskriptif dengan subjek penelitian terdiri dari 30 guru dan 15 tenaga kependidikan yang dipilih secara purposive berdasarkan pengalaman kerja dan keterlibatan dalam kegiatan pendidikan. Pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui wawancara mendalam, observasi, dan studi dokumentasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa mayoritas responden memiliki pengalaman kerja yang cukup dan aktif dalam kegiatan pendidikan. Aktivitas kependidikan yang paling sering dilakukan oleh responden adalah mengajar di kelas. Relevansi dan urgensi implementasi manajemen kinerja berbasis kompetensi sebagai solusi meningkatkan kualitas pendidikan di Kabupaten Maros disoroti. Penelitian ini memberikan wawasan penting untuk pengembangan program pelatihan dan pengembangan kompetensi guru dan tenaga kependidikan.

Abstract

Number concepts are very important for children to learn basic math concepts that will help avoid failure in the future. This research aims to find out how children aged 5-6 years know the concept of number at Hidayatil Mubtadi-in Sawojajar Kindergarten, Malang City. This research was conducted using the Kemmis and Mc. Taggart followed by 15 children. Data collection techniques include observation, interviews, and documentation used in this study. The results showed that children at Hidayatul Mubtadi-in Sawojajar, Malang City aged 5 to 6 years did not know the concept of number. Abstract

Science learning in elementary schools experiences several fundamental problems. Based on exploration results, it was found that: 1) Learning media are varied but not well utilized by teachers. 2) The application of various learning models, such as cooperative models, project-based learning models, SAVI (Somatic, Auditory, Visual, Intellectual), and other learning models is not yet optimal. 3) The selection of varied learning methods, but teachers are still unable to practice them optimally. 4) Facilities such as science laboratories are not yet available. 5) Students' understanding of the concepts or materials explained is not deep, tending to cause misunderstandings. The purpose of this research is to increase motivation and make science learning more enjoyable.

Abstract

Abstract The purpose of writing this research is to analyze the implementation of the teacher professional allowance policy at SDN Sumbersari 1 Malang City. This research applies a qualitative approach with a case study method. This research uses data sources in the form of primary and secondary data. Data collection techniques include interviews, observation and documentation. The results of this research are that the process of implementing the teacher professional allowance policy at SDN Sumbersari 1 Malang involves several stages involving various parties. The school together with the local education supervisor conducted a needs analysis to assess the extent to which the policy could provide benefits for teachers at the school. This step involves evaluating teacher performance, teaching experience, and educational qualifications as a basis for determining the amount of professional allowances.

Abstract

Attractive and effective learning media play an important role in improving the quality of learning and achieving more optimal educational goals. Among various types of learning media, audiovisual media has been proven effective in learning, as stated in previous research. This study aims to examine the effect of using audiovisual media on civic education learning outcomes of elementary school students. The methodology used is descriptive qualitative with literature review method. Of the 20 journals collected, 12 journals met the research criteria. Based on the literature review, it was found that 50% of the previous studies used experimental methods, and the remaining 50% used classroom action research methods. The research sample consisted of various grade levels, with the largest group in grade four. Observation sheets and questions related to the learning material were used as measurement tools to assess student learning outcomes. The research results from the review process show that audio-visual media is very effective in increasing students' participation and understanding in learning.

Abstract

This research is based on the fact that in 2022, almost half of young children will use cell phones. This happened because all education groups, including the early age group, carried out teaching and learning activities from home via cellphone during the COVID-19 pandemic. Parents act as guides for their children and provide technology in the form of mobile phones to adapt to the needs and developments of the times. In early childhood, language development is an important developmental stage in a child's golden years. We need to encourage this language development so that children can develop according to their age. The aim of this research is to describe the strategies used and the obstacles parents face when encouraging children's language development via cell phones. This research uses a qualitative approach. This research uses observation, interviews and written methods to collect data. The data obtained was analyzed in the following stages: 1) data collection, 2) data reduction, 3) data interpretation, 4) graphic design. Source and method triangulation was used to check the accuracy of the data. The results of this research show that the strategies used by parents are parents choosing the right applications/content, setting time limits for using cellphones, controlling and supervising handphone use, ensuring cellphones do not interfere with interactions with and balancing handphone use with interactions. The obstacles they face include dependency, the appearance of inappropriate content, time constraints, and emotional problems (mood) that change easily.

Abstract

Education is an essential basic need for the development of individuals and society. In this context, school libraries play an important role as a center of learning resources that support the learning process. This study aims to explore the influence of library services on students' reading interest and the quality of education in schools. Using the literature study method, the results of the study show that effective library service management includes: (1) planning, (2) organizing, (3) implementation, and (4) evaluation can increase students' access to diverse and relevant reading collections. In addition, interactive literacy programs and a comfortable library environment contribute to creating a positive reading culture. Support from schools in building strong literacy policies further strengthens students' interest in reading. Thus, well-managed library services not only support the improvement of students' literacy skills, but also contribute to the overall quality of education. This research emphasizes the importance of strengthening the role of libraries in improving the quality of education in Indonesia.

Abstract

Perubahan Kurikulum 2013 menjadi Kurikulum Merdeka merupakan langkah besar dalam upaya meningkatkan kualitas pendidikan di Indonesia. Artikel ini mengkaji implementasi Kurikulum Merdeka di Sekolah Dasar, serta faktor-faktor yang memengaruhi penerapannya. Metode penelitian menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan studi literatur yang beragam. Hasil telaah menunjukkan beberapa kendala dalam implementasi Kurikulum Merdeka, seperti penerapan Profil Pelajar Pancasila yang belum optimal, kebutuhan akan pelatihan bagi guru, dan ketergantungan guru pada modul yang diberikan oleh pusat. Meskipun demikian, terdapat beberapa sekolah penggerak yang menjadi contoh dalam implementasi Kurikulum Merdeka. Kendala-kendala ini memerlukan solusi jangka panjang, termasuk pengajaran dan pengenalan Kurikulum Merdeka kepada guru secara bertahap. Kesimpulannya, perubahan kurikulum membutuhkan waktu dan upaya yang berkelanjutan untuk mencapai kesuksesan dalam implementasinya, serta perlu adaptasi dan penyesuaian dari semua pihak terlibat.

Abstract

AbstractThis research is a systematic review which aims to analyze Public Relations (PR) strategies in higher education in improving their image and reputation through social media. In this article, researchers conducted an in-depth review of various previous research articles indexed nationally and internationally to identify strategies used by higher education public relations. The results of this research reveal a comprehensive picture of effective strategies in building a positive image and reputation through social media. Some strategies that are often implemented involve creative content management, active interaction with the audience, conceptualized branding campaigns and the use of different social media platforms according to specific communication goals. Active involvement on social media has also been proven to play an important role in forming positive perceptions of higher education. The conclusions of this research can provide guidance for higher education public relations practitioners in developing and implementing effective communication strategies via social media with the aim of improving the image and reputation of educational institutions. Dalam artikel ini, peneliti melakukan tinjauan mendalam terhadap berbagai artikel penelitian terdahulu yang terindeks secara nasional maupun internasional untuk mengindentifikasi strategi yang digunakan oleh Humas perguruan tinggi. Hasil penelitian ini mengutarakan gambaran yang komprehensif tentang strategi yang efektif dalam membangun citra dan reputasi positif melalui media sosial. Beberapa strategi yang sering diimplementasikan melibatkan pengelolaan konten kreatif, interaksi aktif dengan audiens, kampanye branding yang terkonsep dan pemanfaatan platform media sosial yang berbeda sesuai dengan tujuan komunikasi tertentu. Keterlibatan aktif di media sosial juga terbukti berperan penting dalam membentuk persepsi positif terhadap perguruan tinggi. Kesimpulan dari penelitian ini dapat memberikan panduan bagi praktisi Humas perguruan tinggi dalam menyusun dan mengimplementasikan strategi komunikasi yang efektif melalui media sosial dengan tujuan meningkatkan citra dan reputasi institusi pendidikan.
