Abstract

The "Melek Literasi" work program began on August 3, 2024, in SDN Plerean 2 in Sumberjambe District. The goal of this study was to improve grade 6 students' interest in reading literacy at SDN Plerean 2, Sumberjambe District. This work program is intended to promote the formation of a literacy culture at a young age, with a particular focus on grade 6 children who will shortly continue their education to a higher level, namely Junior High School. The primary material utilised in this program is micro fiction novels, which are meant to develop interest in reading literacy among grade 6 pupils. This work program began with a site study and collaboration with teachers and the administrator of SDN Plerean 2 in Sumberjambe District. Of the 28 pupils in Class 6 of SDN 2 Plerean, 26 said they were motivated to read more. The work program of the Jember Collaborative KKN students at Posko 205 in Plerean Village is projected to help reduce oscillations in reading interest rates in Indonesia and enhance the accomplishment of national literacy objectives.

Abstract

The initiative to establish joint village-owned enterprises (BUMDesma), as local-scale village businesses run by BUMDes, has become increasingly common since the enactment of Law Number 6 of 2014 on Villages. Developing these joint BUMDes is also a strategic policy of the current "Kabinet Indonesia Maju". This community service activity focuses on increasing the capacity of village-owned enterprise managers in Ambarawa District. The activities conducted are in the form of training and mentoring to improve the institutional capacity of each BUMDes in Ambarawa District. The methods used in this activity include: the stage of increasing cognitive aspects, the stage of mentoring and empowerment, and the stage of advocacy. Specifically, this community service activity has led to several achievements, including: in terms of cognitive aspects, there has been an increase in understanding of the existence of BUMDes in improving the village economy to become larger and stronger. The community service activities conducted have successfully increased the knowledge and understanding of the participants by 12.50%. In practical terms, there has been an emergence of initiatives to develop joint BUMDes among BUMDes managers in Ambarawa District.

Abstract

The digital capabilities of MSMEs entrepreneurs in Ngargogondo Village are still limited, especially in the context of marketing. The purpose of the research is to provide knowledge of commercial photography and caption editing that is useful for improving business marketing in village MSMEs. The method of implementing the activity includes lectures, tutorials, and discussions. The results of the activity showed that participants gained increased skills in digital marketing, were able to make good commercial photos, and were able to determine the right caption for the product to be marketed. This activity is not only useful in increasing knowledge but also the technical skills of participants in digital marketing.

Abstract

Juvenile delinquency is one of the significant challenges faced by educational institutions, especially at the Madrasah Tsanawiyah (MTs) level. This article aims to explore the effectiveness of classical guidance as  a preventive strategy in reducing the level of juvenile delinquency in MTs. This study was conducted through a qualitative approach with a case study method in an MTs located in Karyamukti village, which involved direct observation by the village and teachers. The results of the study indicate that structured and sustainable guidance curiculum can increase students' awareness of the negative impacts of juvenile delinquency, as well as build positive attitudes and behaviors among students. This guidance, when implemented properly, not only provides theoretical insight but also encourages students to internalize moral values that can guide them in facing various social pressures. In addition, the success of this classical guidance is also greatly influenced by support from various parties, including teachers, parents, and the school environment. The active involvement of teachers in implementing the program and good communication with parents can create the synergy that strengthens the positive effects of classical guidance. A conducive school environment also plays an important role in encouraging students to apply what they have learned in classical guidance into their daily lives. Thus, classical guidance can be considered as one of the effective preventive efforts in overcoming juvenile delinquency at MTs Karyamukti, making a significant contribution in shaping a better young generation.

Abstract

In the modern era, women's empowerment has become a significant focus, especially in the wake of the pandemic where economic recovery is crucial. One way to enhance societal welfare is by empowering women, which has been shown to improve household welfare. Kebongulo Village, located in Musuk District, Boyolali Regency, possesses abundant natural resources, particularly dairy cows, yet the potential of these resources remains underutilized. To overcome this, a community service program focusing on yogurt production was conducted, targeting young women aged 15-19. This program aimed to leverage local dairy resources by introducing yogurt-making as a value-added product. The program was implemented in three stages: pre-activity surveys, hands-on yogurt-making workshops, and post-activity evaluations. The results indicated a significant increase in participants' understanding, with average scores improving by 26.21% from pretest to post-test. The positive outcome suggests that the program effectively enhanced the participants knowledge and skills, positioning them to utilize local resources for economic benefit. This program not only aimed at economic empowerment but also at fostering sustainable development by overcoming gender disparities in education and employment.

Abstract

This community service activity aims to implement Differentiated Instruction (DI) at SDIT Nuriz to improve inclusive classroom practices. This activity includes two-day training for teachers, six-week implementation of DI in class VI-B, and monitoring and evaluation. The results showed that 90% of teachers were more confident in implementing DI, with 85% of class activities in accordance with DI principles. The implementation of DI increased the average student test score by 14.3% and understanding of the material by 23.1%. Teacher satisfaction with the training and implementation of DI reached 88% and 85%, respectively. Future recommendations include expanding DI training and a more comprehensive evaluation of its impact on inclusive education.

Abstract

The community partnership program implemented in Wagean Hamlet, Ngargogondo Village, Borobudur District, Magelang Regency, has the aim of assisting the development of human resources for the hamlet government as an effort to develop the community in a sustainable manner. We have previously carried out preliminary observations which found that the people of Wagean Hamlet have great potential for development but do not yet have basic skills in operating technology and digital literacy. With the main background of the community being MSME players and they need knowledge regarding the use of technology and how to provide informative information for the development of their business. The public does not yet have basic knowledge regarding the application of technology and digital literacy skills so.People only follow the flow of technological and information developments without understanding the information they obtain. The results of mapping the obstacles experienced by the Wagean Hamlet government, it is hoped that they can master the basics of technology and digital literacy, to develop the hamlet government system so that it is more organized and informative to the community. The Wagean Hamlet government is expected to be able to master digital literacy so that it can better control the information spread among the community. The results of this service are: partners who receive assistance admit that they understand better how to use technology and have a better understanding of digital literacy.

Abstract

The political education program in Waninggap Nanggo aims at increasing democracy awareness and knowledge among residents leading up to the 2024 Elections. As lead earlier, the method was participatory and comprehensive, involving a baseline survey curriculum development, and workshop implementation and election simulation. The results show a 43% increase in politics comprehension from 30% before the program to 75% after. Participation in educative activities stands at 85%, with most of the participants indicating that they feel better prepared and confident about their participation in the Elections. The post-program evaluation indicates that 80% of the participants feel more capable of identifying correct information and staying away from fake news and have shown interest in continued politics participation. These findings show that democracy awareness creation is effective if tailored in consideration of the local communities. Moreover, it minimizes the devastating effects of black and money politics and revitalizes their interest in participation. The success of this programme is expected to serve as a model for other regions, with the potential to strengthen the foundations of democracy in Indonesia through sustainable and participatory approaches. Collaboration between the government, educational institutions, and community organisations is recommended to ensure the sustainability and increased effectiveness of the programme, including the organisation of facilitator training and the development of educational materials relevant to current political dynamics. Thus, political education programmes can have a positive long-term impact on the development of democracy in Waninggap Naggo Village and other areas.

Abstract

Skills in using technology are an important need for students in facing the challenges of a rapidly changing era. The purpose of this training activity is to increase student understanding of lecture material through the use of whimsical applications. Training activities for using the whimsical application to improve student understanding of lecture material were given to 22 first semester students of the Chemistry Education Study Program at Jambi University. The training was conducted on October 21, 2024 in room L-106 FKIP Jambi University. Training on the use of whimsical applications to improve student understanding of lecture material is carried out in five stages of activity, namely planning, preparation, implementation, and evaluation. Based on the training activities that have been carried out, the whimsical application has a positive influence on increasing students in using whimsical applications that can facilitate students in understanding lecture material, such as being able to present diagrams and mind maps that allow depicting the relationship between concepts more clearly. The use of the whimsical application allows students to work collaboratively, so as to speed up the process of discussion and completion of projects in groups.

Abstract

Ihtikar in Islamic capital markets refers to the practice of holding back or controlling the supply of securities to artificially increase prices for personal gain. This practice can cause price distortions, economic injustice, decreased market confidence, and hamper liquidity. This article discusses the meaning of ihtikar, its impact on the sharia capital market, as well as case examples in Indonesia. To overcome this problem, stricter regulations and transparency are needed, as well as policies such as a minimum holding period to prevent market manipulation and the formation of a special body to supervise the Islamic capital market. This effort aims to maintain the integrity of the sharia capital market in accordance with Islamic principles.
