Abstract

This Community Service activity aims to enhance early childhood understanding of bullying prevention at TK Negeri Pembina Kandis by instilling values of mutual respect and care, as well as fostering the ability to resolve conflicts positively. The activity was implemented through educational outreach using an interactive learning approach that utilized various media—such as books, props, and educational videos—alongside activities involving Quran recitation, singing, and storytelling. Additionally, discussions were held with teachers and the school principal to gather information regarding the implementation of character education and the prevalence of bullying at the school. The results indicate that the applied methods successfully created a fun learning atmosphere, making it easier for children to grasp anti-bullying values. Discussion findings revealed that no cases of bullying have occurred at TK Negeri Pembina Kandis to date. Character and anti-bullying education have been consistently integrated into the learning process, helping children develop the habit of resolving issues independently, acknowledging their mistakes, and apologizing when they treat their peers poorly.

Abstract

This community service activity was conducted at SMK IT Al-Izhar in Pekanbaru with the aim of enhancing Islamic philanthropy literacy specifically regarding the concept of waqf (endowment)—among the school's students. The younger generation's limited understanding of the concepts, legal rulings, types, and benefits of waqf poses a challenge to optimizing its potential as an instrument for community empowerment. Consequently, this educational initiative was designed to provide a comprehensive understanding of waqf covering both immovable assets and cash endowments as well as its role in supporting social, economic, and educational development. The implementation methods included outreach sessions, interactive lectures, and discussions. The program covered the fundamental concepts of waqf, relevant regulations in Indonesia, the management of productive waqf, and its practical application in daily life. The activity also sought to foster awareness and a sense of care regarding Islamic philanthropic practices among the students from an early age. The program was executed successfully and proceeded according to the established plan. The conclusions drawn from this activity are twofold: First, it provided an understanding of the Sharia economy; Second, the program's objectives—achieved through collaboration between the Islamic boarding school and the service team were fully met in accordance with the scheduled agenda and timeline.

On the day of the event, 12th-grade students participated in the program. The material was delivered via lectures tailored to the specific theme. Following the presentation, a discussion session was held, allowing students to ask questions and gain a deeper understanding of the concepts taught. The results demonstrated an increased understanding among the students regarding the importance of Islamic financial management, as well as enthusiasm for applying Islamic financial principles in their daily lives. Abstract

The Community Service Program (Kuliah Kerja Nyata/KKN) serves as a means for university students to apply the knowledge acquired during their studies to community life. The main program carried out by the students was the revitalization of public spaces through the provision of benches and waste bins in the Danau Buatan area. This program was initiated in response to the limited availability of seating facilities facing Danau Buatan that could be accessed and utilized by the community free of charge. This study employed a descriptive qualitative approach using observation, interviews, and documentation techniques. The students coordinated with local residents, RT/RW representatives, and the local village head throughout the planning, procurement, and installation stages, resulting in the installation of ten benches and several waste bins along the roadside access to the Danau Buatan area. The results of the program indicated an increase in the number of visitors to Danau Buatan, which also contributed to supporting local MSMEs. This program highlights the important role of university students in making tangible contributions to improving the quality of public spaces and community comfort. The revitalization activity also serves as a form of student community service that provides benefits to the community while supporting economic activities among MSMEs surrounding the Danau Buatan area.

Abstract

Tanjung Beringin Village, Pangkalan Kuras Subdistrict, possesses abundant natural resources, particularly coconuts. However, the community has not yet fully leveraged this potential to create profitable value-added products. This study aims to enhance community knowledge and skills in producing Virgin Coconut Oil (VCO) through an educational and training program. The program utilized a participatory approach involving 50 local residents from Tanjung Beringin Village. The full-day initiative comprised four main sessions: (1) theoretical principles of the VCO manufacturing process, (2) practical demonstrations of VCO production using raw coconut, (3) explanation of VCO's health and industrial benefits, and (4) marketing strategies for VCO products. Results indicated a significant increase in participants' knowledge regarding coconut oil processing and its benefits. Key challenges identified included raw material quality, optimization of the oil separation process, and risk mitigation against product rancidity. In conclusion, the VCO education and training provided a substantial impact on empowering the local community to develop a sustainable natural resource-based economy..
