Abstract

The potential for the growth of zakat, infaq, and alms in Indonesia is substantial, especially with the rise of various digital charity platforms. This study aims to predict the intention of Generation Z to donate through the BSI mobile banking platform. It examines the impact of perceived utility, perceived ease of use, and attitude on donation intentions. Social influence was previously tested for its effect on perceived usefulness and perceived ease of use. Additionally, this study explores the role of perceived usefulness and attitude in mediating the relationship between perceived ease of use and donation intention. The population for this study consists of Generation Z individuals residing in Salatiga City, with a sample of 106 respondents selected through incidental sampling. The analysis tool used is SmartPLS 3.2.9. The results indicate that the intention to give alms is influenced more by the attitude toward BSI mobile banking than by perceived usefulness or perceived ease of use. Furthermore, attitude is influenced by both perceived usefulness and perceived ease of use, which are shaped by social influence. It was also found that perceived usefulness and attitude strengthen the impact of perceived ease of use on donation intention. This research contributes to the understanding of digital charitable intentions and can serve as a reference for amil agencies to enhance the ZISWAF (Zakat, Infaq, Sedekah, Waqf) intentions among young people in Indonesia.

Abstract

Abstract

Abstract

This study aims to identify the effect of cash waqf literacy on interest in waqf money among female teachers of Universitas Darussalam Gontor at Pondok Modern Darussalam Gontor for Girls 3. Innovation in waqf management is a necessity to expand Muslim participation, especially in the form of cash waqf. The cash waqf model provides greater flexibility, given that the object can be both movable and symbolic, allowing for more diverse investments and utilization. However, the potential of cash waqf in Indonesia has not been fully maximized. This research is descriptive quantitative research, data collection techniques using questionnaires, with proportional random sample sampling of 160 respondents. The analytical tool used is SEM-PLS Version 4.0. The results showed that the level of cash waqf literacy in female students at Universitas Darussalam Gontor  was at a moderate level, namely at a percentage of 65.63%. Factor analysis shows that cash waqf literacy has a significant influence on the interest in waqf money among these students. Evidenced by the t-statistic value of 37,188 (p-value 0.000 <0.05). In a 95% interval, the effect of waqf literacy on interest in waqf money lies between (0.776) to (0.867). The research shows that waqf literacy can influence the interest in waqf money among female students at Universitas Darussalam Gontor, especially Pondok Modern Darussalam Gontor for Girls 3.

Abstract

Zakat is a fundamental pillar of the Islamic economic system, playing a vital role in reducing poverty and ensuring a fair distribution of wealth within society. This study seeks to explore how zakat accounting is practiced by zakat institutions in Indonesia, with particular attention to transparency, accountability, and adherence to Sharia-compliant accounting standards. Using a qualitative research approach, data were gathered through in-depth interviews with zakat institution managers, a review of financial reporting documents, and direct observations of zakat management processes. The findings reveal that while many institutions have made efforts to adopt appropriate accounting standards, significant challenges remain—particularly in maintaining transparency and accountability—which in turn influence public trust. This study highlights the need for improved financial reporting systems and the integration of information technology to enhance oversight and encourage greater community involvement in zakat administration. It is hoped that these insights will contribute to the advancement of zakat accounting practices and promote better governance across zakat institutions in Indonesia.

Abstract

Abstract

Lack of literature integrating trend analysis with foresight to plan Islamic philanthropy's future and bibliometric analysis. How has worldwide Islamic philanthropy intellectuality changed?  What emerging trends and orientations may bibliometric analysis reveal? This study uses mixed approaches.  This study uses quantitative bibliometrics and qualitative content analysis to examine Islamic philanthropy's intellectual environment.  This study searches Scopus for "philanthropy", "Islamic philanthropy", "future studies", and "bibliometric" from 1985 to 2025.  VosViewer, Biblioshiny, PoP, and Google Trends will map intellectual landscapes, follow citation patterns, and visualise worldwide Islamic philanthropic trends.  Bibliometric measures like publication counts and citation metrics will measure this field's research impact and growth.  The results found include the phase of publication output and the development of future trends related to Islamic philanthropy. since the 1990s, early studies mostly concentrated on conventional practices and their religious-legal underpinnings.  With more focus on socio-economic consequences and community development, the field grew significantly between 2000 and 2010.  Particularly the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), the years 2010 to 2020 saw integration with world trends.  Developing SDGs practices, digital transformation with linked development like artificial intelligence, Big Data for Islamic Philanthropy will help 2025 and beyond. Artificial intelligence and massive data make decisions predictive.  Integrating Shariah compliance, sustainability, and inclusivity.  Digitally adaptable as fintech, blockchain, and IoT will also change Islamic social finance world in future.

Abstract

This article aims to review the concept of zakat literacy to encourage the maximization of zakat potential. The research method used is qualitative in the form of a literature study. The data obtained are sourced from books, scientific journals, and reports on zakat. The results of this study show that PUSKAZ-BAZNAS mapped two parts that became important points in increasing zakat literacy, namely; Basic knowledge and advanced knowledge. However, the authors have not found any follow-up to the measures of understanding mapped by BAZNAS. Literacy is a projection or series of programs applicable. Zakat literacy not only measures the level of understanding of zakat but also leads to changes in behavior. Awareness of the zakat law will have an impact, especially on behavior change. Awareness of the law of zakat is critical to realize behavior.  Four indicators of awareness of zakat law, namely; 1) Knowledge of zakat law, 2) understanding of zakat law, 3) attitude towards zakat law, and 4) legal behavior to perform zakat.

Abstract

Risk management is a crucial aspect in maintaining the stability and reputation of non-bank Islamic financial institutions. This research focuses on the implementation of risk management, particularly related to reputation and donors, at Dompet Dhuafa East Java. This study employs a qualitative methodology using case study techniques to investigate how dompet dhuafa manages risk in order to minimize potential hazards that can harm the organization’s standing and donors’ confidence. The research results show that Dompet Dhuafa has undertaken several initiatives to identify, evaluate, and control risks, including the development of better monitoring procedures and reporting systems. However, challenges still arise in measuring the effectiveness of risk management, particularly in relation to reputation and donor satisfaction indicators. This research highlights the importance of enhancing leadership roles in building a strong risk awareness culture throughout the organization, as well as the need to refine the risk management framework to better align with the characteristics of Islamic financial institutions. This finding is expected to contribute to the development of more optimal risk management practices in non- bank Islamic financial institutions.
