The Journal of Social Work and Science Education (JSWSE) is firmly established as an authoritative voice in the world of social work and science education with E-ISSN: 2723-6919 and P-ISSN 2746-0827. JSWSE publishes scholarly papers that focus on the social science, teaching and learning, science in school settings ranging from early childhood to university education. It bridges the gap between research and practice, providing information, ideas and opinion. As a truly international journal, JSWSE welcomes contributions from any country provided that the authors explain their local contexts and demonstrate the significance of their work for a global readership. Special emphasis is placed on applicable research relevant to social sciences, educational practice, educational realities in systems, schools, colleges and universities. JSWSE is concerned with social science and science education but also welcomes manuscripts on the integration of STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics) or, geography, and the arts. It is published by Yayasan Sembilan Pemuda Indonesia and it will regularly be published three times a year, in April, August, and December.

Abstract

The purpose of the research was to identify an explanation of the role and management of School Public Health (UKS) in Madrasah Ibtidaiyah Negeri (MIN) 2 Bengkulu City. This research uses descriptive qualitative research principles. Data were collected through observation, question and answer methods, and archiving studies. The review method is collected through the process of reducing data, presenting data, and drawing final results. Based on research, it was revealed that the UKS conditions in the MIN 2 environment were classified as good, especially before the UKS pandemic played a very important role because every sick child or the surrounding community and teachers at MIN 2 immediately received help or received assistance if they were sick or had other complaints. However, in government policy based on the Covid-19 condition, the UKS management was stopped based on the results of interviews from the Principal, Teacher Staff, UKS Main Manager and Students and Students at MIN 2.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the school health unit (UKS) as the main facility of health development in the Elementary School 79  Bengkulu. This research is conducted by using a qualitative approach and case study design. The sources of research data got from the principal, homeroom teacher, physical education teacher, and UKS custodian. This study uses observation techniques, interviews, and documentation. The stages of data analysis used Data Reduction Analysis Techniques, Data Presentation, and Conclusions. The results showed that UKS functions as the main facility for healthy development for students at elementary school, UKS conducted counseling on the importance of personal hygiene to students, UKS introduced a healthy environment and various diseases, and managed and implemented UKS facilities.

Abstract

The importance of the research was to prepare educational units according to the Pinterch model for the subjects of international law handball for students and to identify the effect of those units on the cognitive achievement of the subjects of international law handball for students of the experimental group. As the research problem was represented in the researcher’s attempt to delve into and use the Pinterch model to provide students with the knowledge side of the subjects of international law in handball because the law contains overlap and situations that the student cannot master except through the use of modern methods and methods where the learner has the freedom to choose what he learns and in the way that It suits it, so the researcher tried to use this model as a step to address the weakness in the cognitive side of the international law of handball for students. While the objectives of the research were to prepare educational units according to the Pintersch model for the subjects of international law handball for students. As well as identifying the effect of educational units according to the Pinterch model in the cognitive achievement of the subjects of international law handball for students of the experimental group.

Abstract

Parental treatment of children is one of the most important factors that play a key role in forming their personality. Equal and tolerant treatment makes the son realize the mercy of his parents towards him, and it has become clear to mental health scientists that the methods of parental treatment leave positive or negative effects on the children’s personality. If the son lives in a calm atmosphere dominated by love, tenderness, understanding and tranquility, he will be able to grow in a healthy way, but if the abuse situations increase and their intensity increases, then his personality will suffer from turmoil and conflict, and its effects will always accompany his personality and this will be reflected in the manifestations of his behavior and his emotional balance. The problem of the research lies in A study of negative parental treatment methods by fathers as perceived by the sons of female students of the Faculty of Physical Education and its relationship to emotional stability, the study aimed to identify the methods used in the treatment of children, as well as to know the relationship between the methods of parental treatment and the emotional stability of university students. As for the research hypotheses, there was a statistically significant correlation between the negative parental treatment style and the emotional stability of the research sample. The research sample consisted of (100) female students from Al-Mustansiriya University who were chosen randomly. The researchers used the descriptive approach in the survey style. The research tools were the emotional stability scale and the parental treatment methods scale. After conducting statistical treatments using the statistical program, the results of the research resulted in the existence of a significant correlation relationship. Statistically between the style of parental treatment and emotional stability among female students/Al-Mustansiriya University.

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to describe the principal's leadership in enhancing teacher performance at SD Negeri 6 Mendo Barat. This study employs a descriptive qualitative technique. This study's informants included six principals, instructors, and school managers. Interviews, observation, and documentation are used as data collecting approaches. Using triangulation techniques, assess the data's veracity. The findings revealed that: 1) principal leadership has an effect on improving teacher performance as evidenced by providing motivation to work, fostering discipline, rewarding, consulting, conducting class visits, demonstrating exemplary attitudes and behavior, and developing the teaching profession; 2) the instructor's performance is well established, as indicated by the teacher preparing a lesson plan, organizing learning activities, developing interpersonal relationships, performing assessments, following up on assessment findings, and mastering academic subjects. The study's findings indicate that the principal's leadership is important in increasing teacher effectiveness and contributing to the advancement of learning quality.

Abstract

Academic supervision is a type of self-evaluation used to maximize educational implementation, which is also supported by the leadership of competent school principals. As a result, the purpose of this study was to describe the impact of academic supervision and principal’s leadership on teacher performance. This study's execution is based on quantitative research methodologies. The data was examined proportionately using data from surveys, observations, and documents. The study's findings revealed a positive and significant effect of academic supervision on teacher performance; a positive and significant influence of principal leadership on teacher performance; and, in simultaneous testing, a positive and significant effect of academic supervision and principal leadership combined on teacher performance during the pandemic at SD Negeri Madang Suku III District. The effect of the two independent factors on the dependent variable is categorized as modest.

Abstract

The goal of this study was to look at the influence of work motivation and work discipline on teacher performance at the State Junior High School in Bayung Lencir District, both partially and concurrently. This study was carried out in the State Junior High School in Bayung Lencir District, Musi Banyuasin Regency, with 192 teachers serving as participants. Questionnaires and documents are used to collect data. Construction and content validity are used in the validity test. Conbach alpha is used in the dependability test. Normality, homogeneity, and linearity tests are used to analyze test requirements. Simple regression and multiple regression approaches were used to evaluate the data. According to the findings of this study, there is a partial or simultaneous effect of motivation and work discipline on teacher performance, as well as a positive association between motivation and discipline on teacher performance.

Abstract

This study aimed at examining the influence of principal’s leadership and educational quality on teacher’s performance, both partially and concurrently. This study was carried out at all of Prabumulih City's private junior high schools. The study was conducted during August and October of 2021, with 46 teachers as respondent. The questionnaire was used to collect data. Both principal’s leadership and educational quality have an impact on the success of Prabumulih's private junior high school instructors. The novelty in this study, where we could have good performance of teacher, it needs good leadership. This study contributes to more have attention the principal’s leadership and educational quality where we will have good reputation of teacher’s performance.

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to evaluate and assess the impact of the principal's leadership and infrastructure on teacher’s performance in the SD Muara Jaya District. The regression approach was used in this study. The factors investigated in this study were principal’s leadership (X1), infrastructure (X2), and teacher’s performance. The study was then conducted in SD Negeri Muara Jaya District, OKU Regency, with 66 teachers as sample. The findings of this study reveal that leadership and school infrastructure have an impact on teacher’s performance at SD Negeri in Muara Jaya OKU, both partially and concurrently. The research concludes that the principal must focus on his leadership and infrastructure in order to improve teacher’s effectiveness at SD Negeri Muara Jaya OKU District. This study encourages school administrators and teachers to focus on their leadership and school infrastructure so that schools can shine even brighter.

Abstract

This study aimed at determining the principal's leadership and work motivation on teacher’s performance both partially and simultaneously. The study was done in SD Negeri Banyuasin I, with 93 teachers as sample. The results obtained indicate that principal's leadership and work motivation on teacher’s performance both partially and simultaneously have significant influence. The research concludes that the principal must focus on his leadership and work motivation of teacher to improve teacher’s performance. This study encourages school principals and teachers to focus on their leadership and work motivation to have good teacher’s performance.
